When Shigi threw his punch toward her face, Kamiko would be deft and move the first away with the right hand which she had previously put up along with her left while assuming her battle pose, allowing for her to use the young man's momentum in order to step to his side somewhat and attempt a sweeping kick that would be intended to place him onto the ground or if that were to fail, hopefully disrupt his rhythm enough that it would give her an advantage.
If she would be unable to kick him, she would then attempt to place a chop at the back of his neck in place of her previous attack, however, if this was unsuccessful she would simply have to wait for his next action in order to deliver a proper blow.
All the while as this spar was occurring, Zyarae was observing through the mind of Kamiko with an intensity that was almost strong enough to throw Kamiko herself off of her own rhythm, however, she was now used enough to the spying of the Spirit that she was able to push the thought into the very back of her mind as she could figuratively feel Zyarae's thirst for battle and blood drape over her like a cloak that sought to envelop the Priestess who -- so far, had no intentions of actually harming Shigi. This was the first time that she had gotten into a proper battle with Zyarae inside of her mind and she knew from this moment onward that it would be a constant battle to suppress the desire for killing and for death that this Spirit possessed.

Shigi's punch had failed as Kamiko had reached out with her right arm to block it. Realizing that her next attack would be a sweeping leg kick, Shigi tried to take a hold of Kamiko's arm, sleeve, anything with the hand he had punched with, to her right arm which had blocked his attack. He figured that, if he was going down, he might be able to drag her with him. That, and her speed wouldn't be as utilized when on the ground, he assumed. If unable to, he would just start attacking at her legs, as that's the next best option. Though, nothing could help him if his speed would be too slow to catch or attack her, at that point it was just a test for him to see how many hits he could take before collapsing, which was something he really didn't want to test.
He had to go through some of those see how many hits you can take tests whenever he failed when his mother was around, which is why he is not too keen on practicing them, though as a last result that is what this spar is going to turn into, if he couldn't get anymore hits in. He had a plan for attacking her despite her speed, but it all had to meet certain conditions. He also couldn't force Kamiko into those conditions, so she would have to unknowingly attack with them being set, otherwise Shigi will be taking unnecessary hits in.
For now, however, his focus was getting her on the ground where she couldn't use her speed to the maximum potential, and thus Shigi may have a chance to attack without the ease of dodging. If he could keep her from moving too much then he wouldn't need specific conditions to attack with, and he could attack. Though it wouldn't limit her attacks, though. It'd still be pretty much who gives up first.

Kamiko found herself being pulled down by Shigi's attempt at a grab and would attempt to fight the force of gravity, however, due to the man's surprise grab and the fact she had not braced herself beforehand; this did little to stop her from simply continuing to fall down onto the ground in a chaotic brawl with Shigi. She was not used to such tactics and preferred more civilized ways of fighting yet it was not as if she currently possessed the ability necessary to stop herself from being dragged into messes such as this.
Since the man was focused on attacking her legs, however, Kamiko was able to perform the hand-seals required to cast the Substitution Jutsu: Substituting herself with a nearby log and allowing herself to appear a few meters away and draw a kunai from her weapon pouch in a fluid motion as she approached the now likely confused man with a slight smile on her lips.
"A curious style of fighting, if I must say so myself, perhaps we should refine it - hm?" She would say toward Shigi with a tone of voice that suggested she did not care much for scuffling about on the ground, evidenced further by her dusting off of herself with the free hand which was not holding the kunai.
"How about if I promise to teach you more proper fighting techniques, hm? That sort of thing may work on the vicious streets of this place but among true Ninja, this would do little more than get you killed more quickly." She would warn Shigi with a stern gaze and an equally stern tone, approaching him again slowly with the kunai still in hand if she had been able to withdraw it without interruption in the first place.
"That technique that I used, they teach it in the Academy; It is called the Substitution Technique and it is one of the most valuable tools that a Ninja has at their disposal." She would instruct Shigi with a less irritated tone, putting the kunai back into her pouch and then offering a hand to the man on the ground.
"I could teach you, along with a few other Techniques that I have picked up if you so wish." Kamiko would offer, waiting to see Shigi's response to all of this as she waited to see if he would believe in simply ending the spar with such a simple ending or if he would rather continue on and be witness to some of the other few techniques that Kamiko was capable of performing from her short time in the Academy.

As Shigi would begin to drag her downward, he would see her form a hand-sign. He remembered these - somewhat - though had no in depth explanation. Only what his mother had told him in his short lived lessons is what he remembers, and most of that was basic Taijutsu. He grinned a little, no doubt that he wouldn't be able to get a hit in prior to her performing her jutsu, though he had to at the very least try. As she went to the ground, he threw out a punch. The punch was wide, it would be easily noticed that even his Taijutsu skills are lacking despite them being the only thing that he has used thus far.
As his fist was launched, she had replaced herself with a log. The jutsu seemed somewhat familiar to Shigi, though at the moment it was only on the tip of his tongue. For the moment, he disregarded that. His face appeared confused until he started looking up for Kamiko, seeing where she went. It didn't take too long to find her dusting off, however. She was commenting on his strange fighting style, to which he would apologize - "Sorry, it's been a little over ten years since I've last practiced. I've been getting by on almost sheer luck!" He would say, his grin once again bright and large.
The discussion seemingly took to scolding his fighting style, as it wouldn't even work properly on Ninja, and it barely worked out here. He agreed to that, which was why he never took any difficult jobs such as stealing from anyone guarded by anyone who looked like they knew what they were doing. Shigi would nod in response to her statement, knowing that it was no good, but not knowing enough to actually change anything about it. Yet, anyways. He was determined to learn, either on his own or with help. Though, despite his disheartened face, he does have a thankful smile that she did promise to teach him these basic jutsu. "Thank you." He would say, calmly. "I can't wait. It would honestly help, I think. I've lacked determination for a while, now." He continued, being thankful despite the critique.
She would go onto explain the jutsu she had used. Explaining the name was the Substitution Jutsu, and often taught in the academy. That was probably where he had heard of it before then, he figured. His mother prepared him for the academy before he had even entered, primarily due to wanting him to be in the top of his class. However, in the end he hadn't gone due to his father becoming far too paranoid. Needless to say, however, Shigi wouldn't have made it very far into it regardless with his current skills. Listening to all of this, he was focused. The slight scolding in his fighting style did make sense, so far he was only winging it, and it has gotten harder to obtained food.
She ended her speech with offering to teach Shigi the ability to use this jutsu, and then some that she had learned. He was still embarrassed that he had been pretty much bested by such a low ranking technique, though that feeling was balanced out by the hopefulness and gracious attitude that pretty much blows up on his face in display as he balls the slightly scratched in determination. "Thank you, when can we start, then?" he asked, hoping he could get at least this done. Before, with his mother, it had always been much more of a chore, now it is more of a survival issue.
