What A Short Trip
Wed Aug 08, 2018 1:27 am
Risako left the village that morning fully expecting a rather lengthy trip. Instead, by noon, they managed to make it to the land of Iron without so much as a snack break. She kept these complaints to herself, for if the woman revealed that she had snacks, the other two might ask for some. Once they were in town, however, the Hokage made a beeline for their temporary quarters, hoping that the other two had followed her there. Unless the other two spoke up on the trip, she would remain silent.

The journey to the Land of Iron was tranquil and uneventful, just the way the Hyuuga beauty liked it. Sure she was confident in her abilities against lower leveled shinobi, which most of the bandits would’ve been, she didn’t want to take her chances on fighting kage level shinobi even though she was accompanied by two highly trained, deadly ninja. Hikari could easily become the perfect hostage in the eyes of missing nin, due to her small stature and the fact that at first glance her eyes make her look like she is blind. Of course both of those are advantages for the kunoichi, she would still rather not risk anything. Better to be safe than sorry in her books.
Being able to explore the area with her far visioned Byakugan made the trip even more worthwhile, for she could see the natural beauty of their surroundings far more than her companions could, thus allowing her to appreciate even the little things around them such as the bugs or tiny plants.
Before she knew it the time had passed quicker than expected, and with the sun beating upon their backs they arrived to the border of their destination. She was amazed at their swift travel and the sight in front of her. Hikari had always wanted to travel the entire world, visiting every village and place imaginable, so the summit helped her grow her list of places she had been to.
With a sullen smile she looked out into the white horizon, thinking that Salzem should’ve been the one in her place, guarding the Hokage as she attended the summit. He would’ve loved to see the snowy mountain tops and meet with the strongest members of each village. Hikari silently wished he was there with her, to experience this moment even in the afterlife.
Her time spent thinking of Sal was short lived as she focused back on her mission, even though all she wanted to think about was the brother whom she longed to see and hug again. Hikari knew it was wrong to preoccupy herself with thoughts of the her sibling when there was a dire task at hand, but it was difficult to stop. Everything reminded her of him, and every time she saw his image in something the pain in her heart burrowed deeper.
Hikari would continue to follow their Hokage as they moved forward, towards the town and the place they would be residing in during their stay. She had wanted to speak up during the trip, but felt it would’ve drawn too much attention to them if she had and her goal had to been to stay out of trouble if at all possible. However, if Kots has said anything during their trip she would’ve replied accordingly.

They left for the Kage Summit in the morning and to their surprise they arrive in the Land of Iron that afternoon. Kotsuzui was expecting to the trip to be a short one since he was comparing it to his trip to Suna back when there were the Jounin exams. But he wasn't anticipating it being this fast. He had not even broke a sweat as he matched both Hikari and Risako stride for stride. Perhaps one of the reasons the trip may have seemed faster than it actually was, is because Kotsuzui was not focused on the actual trip itself. He was focusing on the surrounding area as they traveled making sure there were no unexpected guests. And if there were that they would be handled accordingly.
It was quite clear to notice when they had arrived. All the trees and greenery from the Land of Fire had been replaced with mountains with grey and white everywhere. Luckily Kotsuzui had dressed appropriately for the drop in temperature with the exception of his feet. Although he was not complaining. He took this as an opportunity to condition himself even more and to adjust to the colder temperatures of this strange land. Without a word he continued following the Hokage to what was likely their resting area where they would settle in before heading to the Summit.
