Task: A large monster has been spotted in the mountains, some summon gone wrong, and it is your job to take it out before it can do Damage to the Village!
It seemed the Hiyu's planned day of relaxation and aimless roaming would have to take a back seat. Reports of a demon like creature had fallen onto Nobunaga's lap and it was now his responsibility to deal with it. Why him? Had he not already shown that his sword would serve this village or had he yet to earn the trust and favor of the village that destroyed his home? Was it because he slayed a Bijuu on his own? No, there were other shinobi within the walls that had struck down one of the nine infamous demons of legend for there were three other Bijuu housed within these walls. Who knew what they were up to but the village deemed Nobunaga had to complete this mission over them. Was this instead Nobunaga's chance to finally lead a team of his own? According to the file he was currently flipping through, Nobunaga was to lead a team of Genin into the mountains to hunt down an unknown creature that posed a potential risk to the village. Presumably the same report had been sent to the three Genin in question. Kyson had once attempted to get the Hiyu to lead a squad of Genin but it never panned out. Perhaps things would be different this time.
Closing the folder shut and sliding it to the other end of the table at the back corner of his tiny room, the Hiyu would thus begin his preparations. He was to meet his team at the village gates in a couple of hours and he would make a point of being there early to make sure he was there when the Genin arrived. He would slide his armor on, tightening every strap and clasping it together where it would then bond with his flesh, tightening onto him and fitting his massive frame perfectly. Around his neck was his multi weave mask and on the back left side of his waist he would strap the weapon pouch that really only held a scroll and his Kumo headband. All of his other belongings had been destroyed during his fight with the Rokubi and he never replaced them. Also missing from his waist was his new hammer, still under construction at the forge due to a lack of funding. Although he could not wait till he had his new weapon he did not need it for he always had his trusty massive great sword. Grabbing it out of the corner where it stood up right, he would swing it over his right shoulder and hook it to the chain on the back of his armor before throwing over a massive weather worn cloak that covered his entire body from neck to toe. All set, he would exit his room and barracks.
The village was grey and musky, every inch of the sky covered by a dense canopy of thick clouds ready to burst at any moment. A cool constant breeze whipped Nobunaga's robes and lashed out at his face, letting him know that he was still here, alive and well, serving the village he would never call home. A constant reminder that he was living behind the walls and working under the kingdom that took everything away. How much longer could he do this for, he though to himself, standing tall, silent and unwavering in the increasingly stronger winds while he awaited for the arrival of his team.
