Tomb Raider or Doom Evader?

Time has past by fast for Ichiro since the second he became Genin. He wanted nothing more than to impress everyone even taking up the alias as Ninja Chef. Fame doesn't come easy and nothing was ever easy for him to obtain. Chi wanted nothing more than to progress further as a ninja of the village and a powerful one at that. There are such things as cheats and shortcuts to power but he never ever thought of using ways as there were too many risks at stake. He wanted to get powerful the regular way, the hard fought way full of blood, sweat and tears...maybe not that much blood. Then there are other things in his personal life such as family secrets and the oddity he found himself in when he discovered his unique ability to use sage chakra to his advantage. Training was all he could do until an opportunity to advance in the ranks present itself so he spent his time learning things that seemed useful to him whether now or down the road later. Despite his very cheerful nature he also found a problem in himself, his “social awkwardness” wasn't as per say the usual type. Chi was more energetic than most people he ever met in his life and is very dense at times. His ability to make friends are bad as he couldn't well make friends even in the academy he was a loner. There was his brother Jiro who was actually great at that yet….here he was a complete polar opposite of him. These are the things that bothered him the most, If he knew anything friends help each other become stronger and rivals help push each other to a limit however Chi had neither. Yes he will flirt with anyone who he deems cute, hot, and sexy but as expected it's just flirting and nothing more. All these were problems for him and one could say it's what motivate him to be recognized by many…..truthfully Chi doesn't know what to do with life. The blonde had the potential to do many great things but as known by his family those things he does now such as being a chef...he will quit later. Before a Chef he wanted to be a musician but gave up and before then a businessman and way before that a world famous author….all things in which he gave up on. Chi chases after every dream he has until it all crash and burns….so when a certain opportunity came up he decided to chase it no matter if it was a legend or not.

Chi was doing the usual which is multitasking like a pro. Trying to cook dinner, learn some basic medical stuff, and how to use weapons more proficient than he already knew is kinda hard to do at the same time. Whatever he will find a way to do everything in his hectic schedule besides dinner was almost done and he needed to head out to get some more ingredients. The sun was just setting as he left his home, it was a blessing today as the wind was now cooler than earlier and for once out of this hellish week week everything was actually cool. He reached his destination and bought some onions, rice, and tofu because yes Chi is a Vegetarian after all….surprise! Ninja Chef doesn't eat animals! Anyway on his way back he bumped into some lost looking people who were obviously tourist which he can tell from they way they dress...lots of thick clothing and dark colored so he assumed they were from the north. They were asking questions and pointing at their little tourist guide trying to find a place he guessed. The blonde walked up to the two one tall guy and a shorter male about his height. “Need any help? Tourist location….Restaurants….a place to sleep?” He said so in a friendly manor. The tall guy looked down at Chi and murmured something before wondering off. “Uh what's his problem?” The other guy looked at Chi and let out an half hearted laugh.

“It's nothing he just likes doing things on his own. It hurts his pride. And the answer to your question is yes. We are actually looking for somebody. “ Pulling out a picture the guy showed a picture of some dark haired chick. He let Chi take a minute to look at it before putting it back in his pocket. “She actually stole something very important from me and my friends and we really need it back. So we track her down here and suspect she's hiding out somewhere in the village.” The guy's words were nothing but muffled sounds as Chi was practically drooling at looking at such a beauty. “Uh…..nope never seen here I would know if there was someone as hot as her here.” It seem he didn't like that comment at all as his face went serious but before he could say something the tall guy came back. “Found her, she is going after the thing”

“Of course, She was able to locate the thing. Hmm but if we can get there first then we can catch her and the thing.”

“Yeah but we are going to need all the help we can get”

The two then looked at Chi who was very expandable looking to them. Chi however was reading this jutsu encyclopedia and murmuring info to himself about the Shadow Clone jutsu. This was a perfect jutsu to let himself multitask and remembers everything, Why didn't he look for this sooner! He was going over in his head on how to use the jutsu and the multiple uses that work. Everything he needed to be done at the same time can be completed such as helping out at the hospital and learning a few things there as he worked at the Ramen shop and also train somewhere else! This was perfect….now with this he can maybe actually catch some sleep, all he had to do is train and he will be able to do it. This jutsu encyclopedia was perfect it had so many things he can learn….and some really awesome things he probably wont be able to learn. Chi walked away from the two strangers but stopped when he felt a tap on his shoulder. “Hey Kid. You mind helping us out and capturing this thief?”

Chi looked up to the much taller adult and tilted his head a bit. “But training…”

“You will get paid…..a lot. 10k at least.”

“OKAY SIGN ME UP!”

“Alright meet us at the graveyard in three hours….bring supplies, food, water, whatever you need.” And just like that the two Strangers disappeared into the crowd.

Three hours was enough time for Chi to learn the jutsu. This way he can go help out in capturing this thief chick and then go do other things...hopefully while he took a nap..if that's how he assumed the jutsu works. So he headed straight to the training fields. Once there he began his rigorous three hour hardcore training: Shadow Clone edition. The blonde remembered mostly on how to perfom the clone technique and figured this was a more advanced version of it and hopefully it will workout that way. So he started with the basic Clone technique and performed the hand signs and following right after were two clones of him. Now these weren't solid clones nor could they take their own action so he had to go with the flow and learn how to make them solid. He spent time and time again as trial and error were the best way possible to learn this jutsu. Be wanted to execute everything flawlessly and be prepared to use it to help catch the thieving beauty. Victory awaited him if he just learned this jutsu and then he can be rich! Richer than he was before! Chi could just smell the money coming his way as he began to practice more and more being motivated by the second as he thought of the money and how he can use it to fund his restaurant project. There was much hardcore practice for the next three hours until it was time to head to the graveyard, why they wanted to go there and at midnight? Who knew why would anyone go there...however the blonde did wonder what “The Thing” was as he continued his last hour of intense training time. In this last hour after failing and failing again Chi heard giggling coming from behind him. “Hey it's not as easy as it looks!” he shouted as he turned around to face a dark haired girl. Why yes it was the thieving beauty of course but he didn't know that.

“You're doing it wrong blondie.” She gave him a smile and then shook her head and performed the jutsu herself. “See an exact duplicate of me! Awesome right?!” Yep, This girl was more enthusiastic than Chi and maybe even more hyper. He watched in amazement as she pulled off the jutsu, yes she just had to teach him it but before he could ask she had left. “SORRY NO TIME TO CHAT I GOT TO BE SOMEWHERE BEFORE IT GETS TOO LATE!” Chi watched as the girl image slowly faded away...and for once he was in love. Also noticing how late it gotten he hurried himself over towards the graveyard waving at the two.

“Oi Bukito I told you he would. Now Where's my money?” With a grunt the taller guy, Bukito, handed the a stack of cash. “Don't get too cocky Ikassu we have a job to get done and remember whoever catches her first wins the bet.”

“Yeah Yeah I know….”

“So ready to begin Kid?”

Chi wasn't sure on how to respond to them betting on whether he would show or not but decided to go with whatever and listen to their plan to catch the thief. Hiding out behind some gravestones. The girl came right on time as expected as the three waited and watched as she entered a tomb. After ten minutes of impatiently waiting by the door Chi decided to say something. “Maybe she likes taking her time paying respect to the dead…”

“She doesn't. Not for a random unmarked tomb anyway.”

“Are we going to sit around and wait for her to come out then?”

“No we are going in.”

Shivering as Ikassu said that, Chi wanted nothing to do with disturbing others remains ever. Yet here he was about to in some tomb two strangers. “Just remember its 10 K!” The blonde thought as he entered…..And That's when this whole capture the thief went from simple to complicated. It was all icky and dark as he continued to walk for what seemed forever but eventually tripping over someone and sent all three tumbling down and down and down….very far down until stopping at the bottom. Getting up Bukito went and grabbed a torch to light the way more. “I can't believe it…...she found it….the crypts of Ja’Khul Umasuno….”

“Eh who now?” Chi coughed as he got up and removed the cobwebs from his face.

“He's a really. Jashinist old guy who found a way to become “immortal” which is not possible unless you survive some stupid ritual experiment thing. His way however was to literally become a spirit meaning you have to die…..and it's a stupid theory but that's beside the point. He also invented something…..very destructive. A invention to wipe out nations. All the schematics were buried with him however and his location of where he was buried had to be located with riddles and puzzles…..and i have a feeling it won’t be simple ge- WERE YOU EVEN LISTENING?!”

Chi wasn't really listening as he had managed to get himself completely covered in cobwebs. “Uh huh…..can we just go now?” And so after helping him out the cobwebs they began their hunt to stop the thief from stealing the schematics….little did they know they were being followed. The dark musty crypt reeked of Death and really really bad smell of well...it was so horrible that one couldn't identify it. They continued their “expedition” into the darkness of the crypts to eventually end up in a odd place. It was a open room with weird writing and symbols. “Uh….this is it?” Chi asked as he looked around the room seeing no other way to go.

“No. There's always a puzzle….always. Just stay put just in case there are traps and if anything looks like a trap avoid it.”

Well it was too late for that. As the three stood there they all began to realize something, They were sinking. “WHY ARE WE GOING DOWN?!”

“It's always Quicksand….”

“QUICKSAND?”

“Okay three minutes…..we need to solve the riddle not like anyone can pull us out now.”

“WHY ARE YOU SO CASUAL ABOUT THIS? AND WHY IS BUKITO JUST CHILLIN THERE LIKE NOTHING IS WRONG?!”

“We've been through this before. We got used to it.” Chi squirmed around trying to free himself to only notice he was sinking much faster than he expected. He couldn't get out of this. There was no time to solve riddles! Panicking he decided to use his clan’s ability to help… if there was anything he learned so far..it's that he can stretch his arm just close...not close enough. He needed another him and another him he shall receive. Trying at it again he tried to perform the Shadow Clone jutsu multiple times but failing. The pressure was on as he then tried it once more and finally he was able to summon two clones. The two then began to try and pull him out as his head was now fully submerged in the sand….and that was his first near death experience. The floor below them opened just large enough to drain all the sand revealing a hidden passageway. “I...COULD..HAVE DIED!” He was coughing up sand as the three continued on their journey.

They solved puzzle after puzzle every time getting closer and closer to death as they went deeper into the crypts. They had finally reached the end of their journey as they found themselves at the door leading to an Old man's grave. Already tired Chi just wanted to get this over with as he barged through the door to find the dark haired staring at a room full of scrolls and lots of caskets with one in the center. “WE MADE IT THANK GOD. NOW GIVE THESE GUYS THE THING SO I CAN GET PAID AND SLEEP.”

Yelping the girl turned around and threw a kunai at Chi’s leg. It was painful….very painful. Chi however was a tough guy especially for cuties as he kept those tears in and pulled the kunai out to everyone's shock. Having some experience from the hospital, he bandaged his wound as he continued to play tough...when he was actually crying on the inside.

“What are you two doing here?”

“To bring you home of course.”

“I don't need your protection you know”

“Sis we need to leave now.”

Then it all made zero sense. Chi looked at Ikkasu and the the female and then to Bukito back to the female then to Ikkasu and back to her and then to Bukito. “Wait….wait….wait...YOU GUYS ARE RELATED?!”

Before they could give a legit answer all four was soon surrounded by guys with very sharp stabbing objects. “Whaaa….” And then Chi was knocked out.

How long was he out for? A few minutes? Several hours? A day?! It didn't matter he was so going to be way past curfew anyway. Chi v slowly got himself up as he realized what was going on. He had his hands tied behind his back along with Bukito and Ikkasu. “Ugh….what's going on..” Ikkasu was still out and Bukito was well….one can tell the mostly silent guy was angry just the way from how he was staring at the two guards. “They knocked us out and tied us up. They took The girl with them to solve the stupid riddles in return for our freedom but I don't think even she can solve this.” Chi let this sink in for a minute as he tried to get himself out of the restraining ropes but with no luck. He could break out it using his trump card but that could potentially draw attention so he needed to stealth his way out. “I got an idea” The blonde was actually getting pretty used to being able to use the Shadow Clone jutsu and sought it was a perfect opportunity to break out. After a minute of trying to use the hand signs from behind his back it was only a matter of time before two clones appeared. “You two know what to do! Save the damsel in distress.” The silent Whispers was their go sign as the two first took out the guard.

Chi Clone 1:

Dragging the unconscious body away from his post, CC1 removed his clothes and tied him up after putting the guys clothes on himself. After taping his mouth with taped he found on the guy he then hid the body and took his spot in guard duty to remove any suspicious activity right after un tying the three who then played as hostages.

Chi Clone 2:

He stayed close to the shadows as had to sneak his way around more of the tomb raiders. He then had to however find a new way into the room which Dark haired girl was in with the boss if there was any since there was one too many guards he could handle standing at the door. He found a small crack in the wall which was large enough to fit himself in surprisingly and scrambled his way into the small fit until he reached the other side of….another room? Yes it was a secret room! CC2 walked around the room finding even more scrolls lying around however at the center of the room was a highly decorated casket. Moving closely to it he examined the casket and it's engravings on it revealing that this was indeed the real casket of the great inventor. Opening it he found the bones of a once powerful guy and saw in it's hands was a scroll. Taking the scroll he then read it. “So this is what all this commotion is about. Hehehehe good one old man good one.” CC2 then closed the scroll and checked around the room finding another small space he can fit through. Crawling through he had found himself right under the other casket which was in the room Dark haired girl was in and evil boss guy. This was a boggy casket to his discovery as he crawled his way up into and laid inside as he listened into what was going on.

“Hurry up and solve the damn thing!”

“Patience….I need to think. There's twenty caskets in here each with a word engraved on them and only one of these fit the riddle.”

“Hurry up or we kill one.”

“....Fine want me to hurry? Then tell me what you think it is huh? I begin at birth and end at death, yet I can still live on but not advance...we all seek it, we all use it...what am I?”

“......Uh…”

“See exactly what I thought.”

CC2 just wanted to hop out and scream the answer as it came simple to him….but well this was kinda weird to be a riddle which could have multiple answers however he knew what it was thanks to him finding cracks in walls. He needed to wait for the right time to bust out and so he waited for the rest of the plan to commence.

Chi

Getting ready for the big plan Chi, Bukito, Ikkasu and CC1 advance to the room taking out one guard after another. This lead up to the big fight and then the destructive of the door leading into a bigger fight or so they thought. Once entering the room they saw boss man holding a knife to Dark haired cuties throat with several of his mercenary friends around him.

“Let her go Riasi!”

“Uh no. I need her to solve the fucking riddle! Then I can get the weapon and rule the world!”

Chi shook his head as he heard this...rule the world he says. “Pardon me, I'm just here to get paid but if you want advice….i suggest having bigger goals.”

“Whats bigger than ruling the world?”

“Uh I don't know the universe….or how about rule the world be the most powerful person and get all the women? Or something..”

“.....YOU DON'T SUGGEST THINGS TO ME I SUGGEST THINGS TO YOU!”

“Really? Like what?”

“I SUGGEST YOU ALL DIE!”

Chi just had to open his big fat mouth didn't he? Well as boss man Riasi held Dark haired girl hostage (Who still has no name for some reason) his mercenary friends dove right in and charged the four: Chi, Bukito, Ikkasu, and Chi Clone 1 aka CC1. Chi and the others fought back despite being outnumbered four to twelve but the odds was still in their favor. Chi still had both his trump cards CC2 and his unique clan ability. In the midst of the fight and once Riasi backed up far enough from the fighting and close enough to the caskets. That is when CC2 made his move. Popping out with a very scary evil grin on his face made all more menacing with the rawr and well popping out of a CASKET! He managed not only to scare everyone but to also frighten the living shit out of them causing some to keave from embarrassment. The remainers was now easy to takeout as CC2 uppercutted Riasi into the freaking roof. “Well then that was fun...laters!” With that both of the clones went Poof! Helping up Ikana (Dark haired girl name) Chi then grabbed the scroll. “So just before I give you guys this...I cheated. CC2 found a crack in the wall so...yeah. Also This inventor dude is the biggest troll of all.”

“What do you mean biggest troll of all?”

“I'll just show you.” Unscrolling the scroll Chi showed them all what everyone was fighting for. The Schematics weren't schematics but instead one word: “Knowledge”

“Its the answer to the riddle and the strongest weapon that can destroy nations…..so much for cool treasure.”

Everyone was dumbfounded but soon burst out into laughter. All except Riasi who seemed more angry than anything. “Lies! That's not it...it has to be something” The man soon went from casket to casket opening all of them to only find skeletons and bugs. “It HAS TO BE MORE THAN THAT!”

“Uh dude...I think you shouldn't ope-” Then the crypt began to rumble. “THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY BOOBIE TRAPPED TOO!” Moral descion time, leave crazy guy behind and save themselves or no….Chi decided to go save him but forces of nature already decided crazy guy’s fate having the roof above him collapse on him. “Ouch...OKAY WE RUN FOR IT!” The four ran as fast as they could as everything was just getting demolished behind them. This was way scarier than a giant boulder. Chi was limping behind a bit from the wound earlier but that didn't stop him! What did stop him was when the roof collasped in front of him and Ikana seperating the group and causing Ikana to twist her leg after dodging out the way of the falling rocks. “Can you Run”

“DOES IT REALLY LOOK LIKE I CAN EVEN STAND IKKA?!!”

Before they start the banter Chi took it upon himself to carry Ikana out, bridal style yo. “So this maybe an inapproite time but did I ever tell you how pretty your eyes were? Or how smooth you ski-”

“SHUT UP!” Everyone else said in usion as they ran to the exit. And That is how Chi somehow became a tomb raider.

The Next Day.

It was time for the family of Tomb Raiders to leave and pay Chi up. He did almost died more than once last night and took a kunai to the thigh and even cooked for them afterwords. So here he was sending them off.

“Thanks for helping us keep our sister safe.”

“Haha! No problemo now…...WHERES MY MONEY!?”

“Uh..see about that...we don’t actually have the 10K as promised…”

“What….”

“But to show our gratitude we got you this souviner from the crypt that can be worth something….good memories!”

Taking the weird shaped item and removing the wrapping Chi examined it noticing to only find out it was just ol dust crypt rock. “Hey...WAIT!” Looking up Chi noticed the three was high tailing it out of the village already. “COME BAAAAAA- and their gone….”

Chi kept the rock and put it in his bag as he walked away from the gates very sad about not getting the money. “This was not worth getting in trouble for…”

He didn't get far away from the gates when he felt a light tap on his shoulder. He then turned around to be greated with a kiss, five long second kiss. “That's for saving me twice!” Chi for the first time in his life was lost for words as this was unexpected.

“May we meet again Ninja Chef!”

“Uh yeah...same to you to Ikana..!”

Watching her leave a wide grin appeared on his face. “TOTALLY WORTH GETTING IN TROUBLE FOR! TOP THIS ADVENTURE JIRO!!!”

And so ends the story of when Ninja Chef became a Tomb Raider.
