Fire Country Here We Come! (Travel, Ryal)
Sat Jan 05, 2019 6:34 am
Taishi would find himself making his way towards Fire Country, his presence on the very outskirts of the land making the trip a fairly easy one. The trip to the Black Market was a useful one, as they now had the disguises they needed to try and gain entry into the hidden village of Konoha. It might prove a bit tough, but honestly he didn’t care. No risk no reward or something along those lines, right?
The wooded lands of Fire Country were fairly a beautiful, silent, constant reminder of the land they were in and the tasks they had in front of them. Were they ready for this? If it all went according to plan they would likely be fine, but these things always seemed to go awry did they not? Well, we shall see exactly how it all pans out.
The day was dreary, the sky blotted out be the huge trees canopies. Everything was covered with a dulling shade that made the few places where the light would erupt seem almost blindingly bright, a stark contrast from the rest of the woods. They weren’t incredibly common, but every once in a while one would emerge from the corners of the greyish man’s vision like a beacon.
He was dressed in the new outfit, his garb foreign feeling and not yet broken in. He would have to shake that new feeling from them, as he would need to be able to perform at his peak should things turn sour. It wasn’t particularly defensive, but it did allow for a full range of motion. Stretching a bit, Taishi would look over to Ryal to see how his partner in crime was getting along with his new clothes.
“There not gonna see this coming.” Taishi would boast aloud to Ry, the confidence in his tone dispelling any doubt he might have had regarding their plans. They were going to do fine, he could feel it in his bones. “So you got a game plan for this identity you were given?” He would say, looking over the papers he himself was given with all of the information on this false persona. There was also a head band, but Taishi didn’t want to have to wear that dumb thing until it was time to do so. It stood out like a sore thumb, it caught the glare of any light source in front of the person wearing it. Like, it was the opposite of stealth and it beat the ever loving shit out of him how people that were supposed to hide from view for a living ever managed to actually do so in any sort of regular fashion.
“Honestly, I’m not so great at the whole ‘acting’ thing. Probably just going to act normally, else I might make a misstep, break character, and dig myself into a hole I do not want to be in.” He would place his hands on his lower back and stretch out a bit, knowing that there was still a bit of travel left before they reached their destination.

OoC: With 50 speed, travel from the border to Fire Country should be 500 words (1000- 500 for my speed). If anything isn't right, feel free to let me know. This whole travel thing is still a fairly new concept to me.

Travel from the Black Market to the Fire Country border was easy as it should be. Their time in the market was brief yet entirely useful, a simple transformation jutsu wouldn't be enough to fool gate guards. Even if the duo slipped them a few hundred ryo falsified documents would be needed should anyone righteous ask for proof of their claims. While didn't know much about forgery he was confident that these papers were of good enough quality to pass. And if they weren't he could always go the childish route and insist he was from the listed village but simply a student. Although this was the perfect persona to have because it contradicted his true personality Ry couldn't help but feel it was too different to be believable, therefore the remainder of their traveling he'd think of something else. Acting younger wouldn't be a problem he just didn't want to cringe at his own words, the naivety of youth also wasn't a problem however he was sure that the "new" would definitely have his wits about him. As the pair walked Ryal also had time to note the subtle beauty of the Fire Country's vast forest, blitzing through had been fun despite the situation but having the time to notice things was also enjoyable.
He'd already been dressed in the fake uniform same as the man next to him he'd purchased them with. While the latter seemed to find the new garb somewhat uncomfortable Ryal was fine and didn't mind the slight foreign feel they'd temporarily have. After all, hardly any time had passed since the last time the blue haired male had switched up his look. Although their outfits unapologetically screamed "ninja" the pair were still themselves even if Taishi seemed to be enjoying this dress-up time. As his partner looked to him Ryal looked back, the words that followed would cause the golden eyed god to smirk. Rui Shindo. He would say the name in his mind when the grey-ish male asked if he'd figured out his new identity yet. Ry would simply reply with a shrug, for now, they didn't have much time left but he didn't really expect to interact with anyone right off the bat.
Ry would nod to his partner's comment after the latter had looked up from his paper to speak. "Just ease into." He told the male. "Unless you've decided to become a 12 year old girl." The Shinkou would tease, they actually hadn't shared the information with each other. Of course, the final stretch to Konoha's gates would be the best time to practice and come up with names for their fake parents and/or siblings. The blue haired male would also complete the extension of several muscles before they restarted their journey. When a small bird found its way to Ryal's shoulder he concluded that his character should be a tsundere because there was no way he could stop woodland creatures from flocking to him. Allowing the final features of his character to bake longer the male would begin to whistle and hum trying to regain the octave of his 17 year old voice.
