Two Yuki Search for a Puppy (Skadi)

Mission:

Snær looked upon the missions board, having nothing to do for so long was taking a toll on his sanity. "Well bro, how about this one...seems easy enough," he suggested. Searching for a missing puppy shouldn't get all that dangerous, but had to be better than pulling some old lady's weeds - at least to Snær. Unless the thing had rabies, but maybe they'd get a higher reward if that were the case...the unlikely case. Either way, the boy was looking forward to the opportunity. It had been a few days since he was able to have any real time with his twin.

Skadi on a mission, who would have thought? The young Yuki himself sure as hell didn't see that one coming but when his twin brother asked him to join him he couldn't really say no. Rather than declining the offer he accepted it and now the brothers were staring at the mission board trying to decide which one to go with. Since it would be their first mission Skadi would leave it up to his twin Snær to pick one of the board. As he pointed at one of the less difficult missions they looked to see what it was about. "Who the hell calls his dog Mona, especially when it's a boy?" Looking around hoping no one heard his remark the Yuki would agree to take this one as a start, as long as it would get him paid he thought. "Alright, let's go."

The two brothers walking down the streets of Konohagakure, looking for a missing puppy. To make things even more strange it were the looks of the people upon seeing two white haired boys around the village's streets. A rather peculiar view, if he would say so himself. Skadi was already used to heads turning when they saw him so it didn't bother him the slightest. Looking on the bright side of things he was finally able to spend some time with his brother again. It had been a while since the Yuki twins got to spend some time together so he would enjoy it to the fullest. "Alright little bro, let's find this puppy shall we? Monaaaa .."

"Yeah, right? Only time I ever heard such a name was from that painting or whatever..." Snær said. He couldn't care less if someone overheard, maybe they should so that they'd know better. With a sigh, he joined his twin brother calling out for the pup. He wasn't exactly in the mood to deal with people, so he ignored the stares. 


"If I were a pup, where would I run off to?" Snær thought out loud. Dogs typically were seen rummaging though dumpsters or trash cans...but each one they passed had all been dogless. Then he had another idea. Part of the mission was to find the thing before it starves...maybe getting it a treat would quicken up the mission. Snær pulled out a slice of meat from his lunchbox to entice the creature. Now the stares were turning into confused looks, because why would someone just walk around with a slice of meat in their hand anyhow? But Snær was too busy finding the puppy to bother or take notice. "Would have been nice if they left a description of what it looks like..." the boy sighed again. The mission had became to total drag, but he was happy to be able to have a walk with his brother regardless.

Calling out the dog's name, passing every dumpster and trash can in the village of Konohagakure the Yuki twins were still looking for Mona but so far without any result. In their search for the missing puppy they suddenly realized they had no idea what the dog looked like which would make their mission way more difficult than they originally intended it to be. Having come to that realisation his twin brother found nothing better than taking out a piece of meat he was keeping in his lunchbox. "Very hygienic Snær" Skadi would say to his twin while keeping an eye out for Mona the missing puppy. If this would keep up for much longer there would be no way the two of them would be able to find and return Mona to his family.

Skadi then suddenly remembered something that was mentioned in the mission's description. Something about the puppy possibly being trapped somewhere. It made the Yuki realize once more the urgency and importance of this mission's outcome as they had no time to lose. The young boy decided they needed to look at other places if they wanted to find the dog. "Let's try and look some place else" he would tell his twin. Checking each and every back alley of the village hoping they would find the little puppy both Yuki figured it might be the best place for them to look. He figured it could be his imagination but Skadi thought he heard something. "Shh, listen. Do you hear something as well?"

Obeying the hush of his brother, Snær listened for the sound. There it was, a puppy yelping. It was a dreadful and heart wrenching sound to hear, although the problem was soon to be solved. "Sounds like it's coming from the gutters over there," he pointed in a direction that the noise came from and headed towards it. Kneeling over a tube that spewed some stinky water, Snær found a puppy. "Oh, hello there, are you...erm...Mona?" he attempted to communicate with it. He assumed it was, with how the poor creature thumped its tail. Reaching in with one hand, he scooped up the puppy. "Welp, seems like the mystery is solved. Now to reunite him with whoever was supposed to be responsible for him..."  Snær said. He gave the puppy the slice of meat he had been holding. "Figured that'd make a good snack for ya! Who knows how long you've been out here."

"Alright, now to go to this address that the puppy is supposed to be given at," Snær said, looking over the mission scroll with his other hand. Upon reaching the place, along with Skadi he politely returned the puppy. "Glad that's done for. But...can we get a puppy now?" he asked his twin brother.

It seemed like Skadi was right as his twin brother Snær also heard the sound of what seemed to be the cry of a frightened animal in need of help. The young Yuki watched as his brother rushed over to see where the sound was coming from. Once Snær had arrived at the gutters he discovered the cause of all this noise. To their relief they had finally found Mona the little puppy. Skadi witnessed how his twin brother reached for the dog and carried him out of the gutters. Now that they had recovered the puppy it was time for them to return him so he could be reunited with his family. On their way back home his brother decided to ask if they could have a puppy of their own now. "I already have my hands full with you."
