A Missing Merchant (IO, Ita, Chuta, NK)

As Yoi told Chuta he would put down whatever was in his hands, a picture in this case, and ran toward the woods. He could feel the wind run over his body. It was starting to get a little cooler and he wanted to look at the sky to see if a storm was coming but didn't let himself be distracted. Chuta didn't see the man. He believed Yoi though, there had to be something he was missing. He continued to run till he came to a small opening in the forested area. It was a clearing created by a near by wood mill operation. Just on the other side he could see a person vanishing into the shades of the tree.

Chuta ran for the man. Watching his steps as he made his way through the area. Stumps, sticks, old metal peaces of chain and broken axes were scattered about the area. If he wasn't careful he could find himself face down on the dirt. He started to use the stumps as a walkway, jumping from one to the other till he was on the other side. The man was still far. He had to push his speed to max to get to him fast enough. He had to be at least 200 yards from the house by now.

The man was yards away. "Stop running!" Chuta yelled. He reached down and grabbed a stone from the ground, throwing it, he hit the man in the back of the head. It caused him to stumble just enough for Chuta to tackle him to the ground. Grabbing a kunai from his pouch, Chuta led the man's face to the ground and the knife to his throat. "Stop moving." Chuta said, barring his teeth. "Are you going to corporate?" Chuta asked him.
"yeah, yeah!" The man said, raising his hands the best he could. The universal sign that told Chuta that he'd won.
"Get on your feet." Chuta held the man by the shoulder then grabbed his arm and put it in a come-along hold. It brought the man to his tip of his toes at first, an example of what it would feel like if he tried to run. Relaxing Chuta let the man walk.
"Who are you?"
"I... I'm a Merchant. My name is Kibiru."
"Wait.."
"That is my house you guys are in." The man struggled a bit.
"Why were you running?" Chuta kept his hold.
The man made a high pitched grunt, "I thought... you know, If I disappear, my family can collect on life insurance. You know, make some"-
-"Its always about money." Chuta said. "Well, your under arrest now." He finished.

They made their way back to the house and Chuta through the man in front of Ita. "This is the guy." Chuta said, "He thought it would be nice to stage his own death." Chuta smiled, he almost couldn't believe it. Everything was damaged, but the pictures on the dressers, they were fine. It made sense now that he thought about it.

On the way back to the village Chuta bound the man's hands together and held on to his arm, just making sure he wasn't going to make a last minute get away.
