Yet Another day of Training (P)
Sun Sep 29, 2019 1:51 am
It was that time of the day again, the sun high in the sky as clouds rolled along and covered the sun in splotches every now and then, as Vergil walked out of his house with, this time, a real katana that was sheathed in his left hand. Yet another day for another bout of training as Vergil made his way to the usual spot that he was so accustomed to which was the training field outside of the village. This had become such a daily routine for him that his body had practically become so acclimated to the usual early morning wake up he didn't need the help of an alarm anymore as it was get up, get a breakfast in, go train day in and day out. He was amazed at the results he was getting from such a training regiment and was also flabbergasted at how much more energy he would wake up to every morning. Why not use it in something important for his ninja career? At least that's how he thought about it as he walked towards the village gates that hung high over every building nearby and the gate guards that walked along the top of the gate looking down both ends of the gate doors. He would walk the usual street within the forest that lead towards the training field, the trees swaying softly from the cool breeze that the clouds were bringing along with them, as he walked through the entrance of the gate that surrounded the field and walked to his favorite tree.
He took in a deep breath before taking his jacket off and putting it onto the tree branch to hang as he got out a book he was keeping in his pocket. It was a book he had wanted to read for a while that he had gotten at the library. He had every intention of reading it as soon as he got back home but for now he had to make sure the book wasn't going to get damaged or anything during his training so he put the book into one of the pockets of his jacket. Taking his sword he then walked over to the logs that sat underneath the tree and pulled it out of it's sheath before testing his strength by tossing the sheath towards the ground next to the tree and he was satisfied as the ground broke away and the sheath stuck out of it.
Cracking each of his knuckles he would then look at each stump and flip his sword around to his dominant right hand before looking at the blade to make sure there were no notches or dents in it. He would've been mad if he just bought the sword and it had scratches on the blade but luckily the sword was in pristine condition which took Vergil's worries away as he looked at one of the stumps and thought about whether or not he should use a chakra tag once more to make a clone because he didn't want to destroy anything that someone else might use later. Instead he stabbed his katana into the ground on the side beside one of the stumps before hopping up into the air and tossing a wired kunai over to the nearby cliffside and giving it a tug. He thus would pull himself towards the rocky surface of the cliff as he went towards it feet first and chakra infused to his soles as he landed and began walking along the side of the cliff and putting his kunai back into his pocket. Bringing his hands up to form a sign he would stand there and concentrate as he gathered the chakra within him in order to proceed with learning a move he'd been wanting to for a good while.
He stood along the side of the wall and kept his chakra burning as he formed four hand seals and concentrated his lightning chakra into the technique as suddenly he could feel the air around him shift and condense to form little swirls of pressure. It wasn't taking any form that he was familiar with, in terms of what he read about the technique, as he could tell it was going to take more than just one attempt to get this right. He relaxed his chakra a bit before hopping off the side of the wall and landing in the center of the river while forming the hand seals once more while giving his chakra a bit more of a charge from the river. He closed his eyes and concentrated once more as the air around him started to change once more and this time a bit of lightning started to crackle out of the pressured air points as they would strike at the river in certain places to create small currents. It wasn't until Vergil felt he couldn't make it any better than that with current chakra that he relaxed his chakra once again and the pressure points disappeared as he hopped off the river.
Landing on the ground nearby he looked up to see a cloud slowly floating over to place itself underneath the sun and give him a little bit of relief from the rays of the sun. He took a deep breath as he got low on the ground and tightened the laces on one of his boots before standing back up and hopping up and down to ready his body for some physical training. He would punch the air a few times to get his arms a bit looser for a workout before he looked around to see if there was anything he wanted to specifically do besides what he usually does. Taking the time to think about it he knew that his body was much stronger than just a few weeks ago which was a sign to him that the Uchiha genetics within him were on full overdrive for his training. He wanted to focus mainly all his time on speed nowadays but he knew that strength along with chakra was important factor, too, even though he knew his strength had risen into some pretty abnormal levels. Maybe a quick jog around the field was what he was definitely in need of.
Rolling his neck around a few times to loosen it up, cracking a few joints within his neck back into looser positions, he got down onto his hands and focused his strength into his legs before going for a light run around the field. He would focus his chakra into his feet so that he could run over the river unimpeded as he would also run up the cliffside in order to implement it and the portion of field above it into his exercise. He was pleased to see he was not only as fast as ever but even faster as his body seemed more akin to a blur as he ran to any normal civilian who might've been watching. He would keep this pace up for a few minutes, going faster or slower depending on how he was feeling stamina wise, before stopping a bit of a ways away from the river and taking a moment to catch his breath before once again getting back into his jog. The clouded sky was certainly keeping him cool enough to keep going as he would go for this run for a few more minutes before stopping underneath his tree which his jacket hung off of.
He would hop up and grab onto a branch in order to do a couple of pull ups as he looked down to the river to have something to watch and keep his mind off the pain and calm his mind. He hated being bored and this was certainly something that helped keep the boredom at bay as the water of the river always reminded him of his time with his family in the past. It calmed his mind as well to allow the pain of his workout to come to him slower wile at the same time he continued to do his pull ups and get stronger. After a while he let go of the high branch that he had grabbed onto and landed on his feet as he shook his arms out and looked up to the sky to see that the sun was coming out from one of the clouds and began to shine down upon the field once again. This made the field a bit hotter as Vergil wiped a bit of sweat off of his brow and got a small towel he had brought with him out to the river.
He would dip the towel into the cool waters of the river, allowing the towel to fill to the brim with liquid, before he brought it back up and twisted the towel to relieve it of some water and placed it around his neck. He then stepped back and got down onto his hands into a push up position before pushing himself up and down a few times as the water soaked into his towel would leak out in droplets that fell to the ground beneath him. He would focus on these drops to allow his mind to go to other places as he continued while listening to the river flowing before him. Even in his focus he could still feel the burning in his arms as he continued until he hopped up to his feet and walked over to the shady tree in order to pick his sword back up and place it on the trunk of the tree. He needed to focus on his chakra training now and perfect the jutsu that he had been practicing earlier as he walked back over to the river and brought his hands up to form the hand seals once more.
He would spend the next few minutes activating the chakra within him to try and form the four swirls of crackling pressure in the air into balls of lightning that he could use as projectiles. Each time he got closer to such a goal before his chakra had to relax for a bit which caused the electricity to calm down. Luckily the rest of the techniques that he had intended to learn weren't the kinds of techniques that required the expenditure of too much chakra to perform but rather make it stagnant which didn't waste a lot of it. So he could continue to practice this technique with all the chakra he had available which he had a gut feeling he was going to need to do. He thus would form the hand seals once more before taking a deep breath and concentrating again as the air would form and swirl in multiple places once more as electricity crackled together to form into tiny balls of lightning chakra as he had read that they were supposed to be a bit bigger but I guess more practice in this situation meant perfection. After a while he would relax his chakra once more as the lightning dissipated.
Taking in another deep breath he walked over to the cliff side and started to walk up it as he gave his feet a bit of an exercise chakra wise to try and give his chakra a bit more exercise so he could try the jutsu one more time. He would walk the entire length of the cliff in order to reach the top edge of the cliff before flipping over onto the top and looking up to see the clouds slowly floating along the sky over everything. Taking a moment to take in his surroundings, looking out over the field from his high point and viewing the beautiful view that the height gave him, before he sat down cross legged and closed his eyes in order to give himself some time to meditate. There was a small tree on the top of the cliff that helped to provide him a bit of shade from the sun as he did so and helped him keep his focus on the meditation.
Taking the time to feel the chakra within him swirl and grow during his meditation he was able to determine that he could practice the jutsu a bit more without worrying about tiring out earlier than needed to. He would continue to focus his other senses besides sight on the world around him in order to keep his concentration on growing his chakra more to allow him to better use the jutsu. He brought his hands up to form the necessary hand signs one more time as he opened his eyes to find the swirls forming faster than ever while lightning slowly poured out of them to make balls of pure lightning that were much bigger than he had seen himself make before. Taking that to mean he was at a good stopping point he got up from his seated position, the balls disappearing as he relaxed his chakra, and hopped down to the ground below in order to go to the tree which held his sword and pick it up while taking it out of it's sheath. Now was the time to train with the more difficult techniques but, this time, he wasn't going to train alone as he pulled out of his pocket a familiar tag that he stuck onto one of the stumps and stepped back as the stump transformed in an explosion of light to another version of himself.
It wouldn't be long before there was another Vergil standing a ways from the original as Vergil gripped the hilt of his blade tight while focusing his chakra into it which caused the blade to become coated with chakra. He would then bring his free hand over the back of the blade and set his palm along the spine as he concentrated and tried to put a bit more power into his chakra infusion. He saw the chakra infused blade slowly changing into a different color as he concentrated, his Sharingan watching the clone as it stood still and seemed to be doing the same thing, as Vergil could see that the blade was now turning into a blueish color as he could see the chakra transforming and becoming sharper around his blade. He could see that the chakra was grinding against the katana, as though it was personally sharpening the sharp edge of his blade to be more finely tuned for cutting, as he could tell that the technique had worked and thus faced his opponent with his now fully powered up blade.
The clone just so happened to do the same thing with it's own blade as Vergil got low onto the ground and dashed towards the clone at full speed as the clone just barely was able to get it's own blade up and catch Vergil's blade before the sword could slice it's face. The clone was forced back by a good bit by the sword strike as Vergil kicked it in the gut and caused it to soar back through the air away from him before he tossed the sword towards the clone full strength as his blade hit the clone directly in the chest and flew straight through it's body in order to hit the ground a bit of a ways away. Vergil was happy to see this as the clone dropped onto the ground before reverting back into a log and the tag stripped off of it's side to fall onto the ground. Vergil would walk over and pick up the tag as he looked over to his blade to watch the chakra that had been surrounding it disappear before he walked over and pulled it out of the ground in order to walk back over to the tree and put it back into it's sheath.
He walked over to the log that now laid on the ground and picked it up in order to walk over to the hole in the ground that it had left as the clone and shoved one of the ends back into the ground firmly so that it could serve as someone else's training log in the future. Afterwards he took a deep breath as he felt satisfied with the progress that he had made during today's training and he took the nice and still cool and wet towel to wipe a bit of sweat off his brow before going to his jacket and pulling an iced water bottle out of one of the pockets before opening it up to give himself a nice little sip while looking out to the river in order to let his mind wander about how he was going to proceed with the rest of today's training as he hopped up and down a bit to feel that his body was still good to go with a bit more training. Taking that into account he took some more sips of water as he walked over to the river and dipped his towel into it again to let it soak in some liquid goodness for his neck to absorb.
He would once again wring the towel out over the river, getting any excess water out of it while keeping most of what he needed in the towel, before he placed it around his neck once again and taking his sheathed blade and rolling one of his shoulders while looking around to think about how best to proceed with his next move. There was one more technique that he had to learn that was known for being a very nice weaponry tech that required a katana to perform that could be used to put someone into a trance that'd slow them down and allow him with ample opportunity to potentially end them in as few of moves as possible. This was going to be difficult as it was known as an A rank technique which was among the hardest techniques anyone could learn. He was going to make certain he could do it, though, before he tried to use his tag once more and summon another clone to try it out on. He thus went back over to the tree and took the blade out of the sheath before concentrating and calling upon his inner strength.
He would use his wrist to twirl the blade in front of him in a circle, his hand keeping the hilt gripped while he twirled it with his wrist, as the sword would whistle from the speed and force it was being used to slice through the air. He didn't notice anything happening from the sword as he did this, besides his subconsciousness infusing his chakra into the blade automatically, as he could see the color of his chakra being made into a circle in front of him thanks to the constant rotation he was putting into his blade. He would continue to do this for several minutes with no progress or success until he stopped spinning his wrist and rubbed it from stiffness he was starting to develop within it. He would let go of the sword and put it back into it's sheath before allowing his Sharingan to disappear so he could recover his stamina quicker as he sat at the trunk of the tree and closed his eyes to meditate and think about what he was doing wrong and what he'd have to do differently.
Taking a deep breath he would meditate on the ground like this, the water of the river supplying him with something to listen to and stay calm with, as he kept the tips of his fists together in order to give a bridge for his chakra to travel along. He had been training his chakra so much that he could feel his chakra was on another level in his opinion. He had been coming to the field a lot to train his chakra, after all, and it was surprising to him the gains in power he had made from doing so. Thus, once he felt what was left of his chakra return to him, he got up from his seated position and went over to the log once more to put a tag upon the wood and step back into the sky as he watched the tag turn the log into a clone of him once more. This was going to be a fun little way for Vergil to train as he faced himself off against his clone as he took his blade and gripped the handle tight before slowly twirling the blade out in front of him towards the clone.
The clone watched Vergil do this patiently, it's Sharingan taking in the technique and ingraining it into it's mind, before it got low and charged it's legs with strength before dashing towards Vergil with all it's speed. Vergil was surprised by this as he stopped twirling his sword and caught the sword with his own just in the nick of time since his clone's sword was about to go through his own chest. Upon catching the sword he would kick himself back off the clone's chest and flip away while the clone followed. With sword in both of their hands Vergil and his clone would engage in a sword battle that would involve a lot of slashing, a lot of ducking, and a lot of dodging as there would be many a close call between the two. Their speeds fast enough to make them seem like blurs to any outsiders. The clone would go for a hard slash to Vergil's head which Vergil would dodge it by jumping backwards and flipping to land upon his feet and standing up to go straight back to twirling his sword around with his wrist in front of him towards the clone.
He noticed a change to the sword's streak as it twirled in the air, the sword starting to make afterimages with it's swinging and twirling, as the clone rushed over once more and jumped high into the air which caused Vergil to stop and focus on it. This was a sign that he was at least making some progress as he got into a defensive position and got the clone's incoming kicks with one of his forearms. The clone would twist around and use his forearm to flip over Vergil and land behind him before bringing it's sword around towards Vergil's cheek as Vergil had no choice but to duck. This would leave Vergil wide open for the kick that the clone was bringing around aimed directly to Vergil's face as Vergil had to get his forearm up again in an attempt to block it. The strength of the kick would cause Vergil to fly back from the clone as Vergil was surprised by how strong he apparently already was and he would drive his sword down into the ground while gripping the hilt and twirling himself around to land onto his feet safely while pulling the sword out of the dirt ready for more abuse.
The clone would charge after Vergil as Vergil would jump into the air in order to get some distance from the clone while, at the same time, twirling his sword around once more hoping that something would happen from him doing this soon before he would up getting sliced and diced from his own clone. It was clear he was making progress by doing this but it wasn't enough to actually do anything to the clone as it would jump up after Vergil and Vergil had no choice but to stop his twirling a bit in order to catch yet another slash that came his way. The clone would swing it's sword downwards upon Vergil as Vergil caught it and soared back down to the ground from the strength of the slash as he watched the clone get out a kunai and toss it towards Vergil after the slash. Landing on the ground and jumping back to avoid the kunai he would be surprised as he noticed a wire tied to the loop of the kunai before it became taut in front of him and he looked up to see the clone pulling himself towards the ground using the wire tied to the kunai.
Landing quicker than Vergil was expecting the two would once again get into a quick sword clashing battle with one another, Vergil proving himself the more smart behind each slash with his counters to the clone's strikes and slashes while the clone proved itself the more aggressive by trying to open up Vergil's defenses so it could land a fatal blow, before Vergil would knee the clone in the gut and flip backwards along the ground to get away. The clone would then bring up it's hands to form seals while taking a deep breath and exhaling outwards with force as a large ball of fire was now flying towards Vergil at high speeds. Seeing this with Sharingan Vergil would form his own hand seals while taking a breath and exhaling out a fireball of similar size as the two fireballs would meet in the a bit above the ground and explode in a giant explosion of flames and heat. The shockwave of the two balls of fire would flow outwards through the trees of the surrounding forest and cause the two to shield their eyes from the light the two colliding fireballs created before Vergil went right back to twirling his sword around.
The sword was now forming full on afterimages behind it as Vergil watched what happened with his improved vision before looking over to see the clone coming towards him but he could see the clone was moving at a much slower pace as well as seemingly looking at the twirling with a bit of a glazed over expression before Vergil saw his opportunity for an attack. Getting low to the ground, still twirling his sword as he waited for the clone to get closer, he would thus stop twirling as soon as the clone got close enough and swing it around to meet the clone's neck as the blade would slice though the clone and decapitate it instantly turning it back into a log before Vergil. Even Vergil was impressed by how much speed and force was behind his swing as he got back up to a full on standing position and picked up the log's tag to place it back into his pocket. He would then bow to the log before picking it back up and walking with it back to it's hole in order to stick it back into the ground with force.
With his training completed Vergil sheathed his blade back into the sheath and placed it against the trunk of the large tree, taking the towel he hung from his neck still and wiping the sweat from his forehead, before he looked up past the leaves to see the sky and the sun that shined it's light past them down upon him. It was time for him to go back home and rest as he picked up the jacket from it's hanging position before placing it around him, his arms quickly going through the cuffs of his sleeves, as he adjusted the coat to fit onto his body more properly before picking his sword back up to hold in his left hand and he turned to walk off the field. He was surprised to see a family of birds, two large ones with a small one between them, sitting at the threshold of the entrance and watching Vergil as Vergil walked over and they chirped a bit before the three took flight into the air and away from Vergil to leave him standing there watching in a surprised manner. He had never seen birds that calm around people as he turned back to the entrance and walked along the road back to the village gates.
He made his way calmly and slowly past all the trees, their leaves falling onto the ground around him and littering the road, as his coattails flapped behind him as he walked up to the gates and gave a nod and a wave to the guards up top as they waved back. The villagers were all calm as they went about their normal days which gave Vergil peace for these were trying time for the village and he wanted to make certain nothing bad ever happened to the village again. To make sure of that he would need to keep up his training as much as he could which sounded like a fruitless endeavor at first but, now that he was feeling the new strength settled within his body from all the training he had put it through already, he felt that maybe it wasn't too fruitless of an endeavor after all. He made his way to his home's front door and unlocked it as he stepped inside and locked it behind him while taking his coat back off and hanging it on the coat rack that was near the door.
He would then walk over to the kitchen and place the towel in the sink and then to his room to place his sword near the door before going to the bathroom in order to turn the shower on. He stepped inside after removing all his clothes and he washed his body of the dirt and grime and blood he had developed from the fight with his clone, taking a few minutes to wash his body completely, before turning the shower off and bringing his hand up slowly to slick his hair back into his usual hair style and stepping out of the shower. Cracking his knuckles he walked into his bedroom and got out a book from one of his bookshelves before sitting on the edge of the bed and opening it up to read. He was going to use the remaining time within his day to make certain he finished the book. Another day of training ending in success yet again.
