The cowboy and the sage (p kinzoku and yen)

Yen noted the relaxed state of kinzoku. It was similar to the weight being lifted. The burden has been passed as an metaphor of feeling the relief of the kage position leave him. But more so now it dawned on yen who was normally mentally prepared what kinzoku said as he with zn bow after standing up.  Offered his left hand to kinzoku in the form of an handshake.

"You have done what you have seen is nessccary. And lead as you stand now. Proudly. So I humbly accept the title, and rank."

Not the usual riddle filled speech yen used. But genuin. He respected kinzoku for his work and now there was only one himself as the hokage.  Like wise sitting in the chair it was much diffrent. As instead of borrowing it. It was now his position. But in that he realized that now no one was above him. Besides an deity or such. Taking a breath to compose himself as he now knew each word he says was not easily chsllenged. His first task was one he had been considering for the past few seconds. How to explain to kiri.

Yen thought as he thought back to his new toy that decided to come into the lime light. The nara that left two villages would be an metaphorical olive branch. Or an wrapped package.

Likewise i do not like blood on my hands, nor do i want another drop spilled in the land of fire if i cannot help it."

Yen stated as he did not like the idea  before that an person running around with a spotty record like his was safe. So it is fair to use the boy as a scapegoat. Most definitely.

"Your team will consist of this wild card known as satoru nara. The hired blade. And one other person of your choice. Because it will be simple. Travel with him. Note if he heads off any other directions. And if he does please dispose and get back the ryo i will hand him. If he makes it to kiri you will go into kiri and while yes report to the mizukage. It"ll be good to note the scource of strength they have. Any defenses and how they work."

Yen was solem as he spoke. He did not like it, but eliminating a problem in the future was his goal. So to not have konoha shinobi simply exposed.

"Yes it is sudden, but in our state it would be good to get rid of such a problem when its task is done. We also in dire need of information. As for the ryo when deed is done. Do as you please with it."

Kinzoku was glad to hear that Yensung would accept his request to personally go to Kirigakure and explain the current affairs of Konoha. But turns out things weren't going to be so simple. Mere seconds into his new position and the Aburame had already plotted something out for Kinzoku. Or perhaps this was something he already had in the makings and was going to act out himself? Whatever the case, it was now falling onto the lap of the Nazar. He began explaining the bare minimum, not divulging very much information. Basically, he found a shinobi wandering the village and hired him by giving him a ton of ryo to complete some unknown task. So Kinzoku task was to... kill him? It had the Nazar perplexed as to why Yensung would hire someone to perform a task merely to have them eliminated, after stating he didn't like blood being spilled. Whatever the reasoning, he expected it to be done only after their trip to Kirigakure.

The Nara was to accompany Kinzoku to Kiri, along with someone of his own choosing. Kinzoku saw to need to bring anyone else along. But it could be a good experience from a number of the shinobi in the village. So he would entertain the idea. He was also made to watch the Nara and observe if he attempts to escape. If he does, eliminate him. If he does not, let him finish his task. Then eliminate him. Still perplexed. Analyzing the forces of Kiri was a given, something Kinzoku would have done whether asked or not. 

Judging by the way Yensung spoke, he seemed to think this person was a threat of the village. Hiring a threat to the village seemed like an odd thing to do, like playing with a double edged sword. At anytime something could go wrong and the sword could slice its own master. So Kinzoku asked the obvious. "If you don't mind my asking" he began, remaining calm and polite, "but what is it you have tasked this... Satoru Nara with? And why must I kill him?" He paused ever so slightly, letting the questions register with the Hokage before he went on. "What if he completes his task and proves that he can be valuable to the village? Would it not be in our best interests to continue a working relationship with him? Besides... who is this Nara anyways?" he asked finally. Clearly he had entered the village while Kinzoku was Hokage. Yet he had not known about him.

Kinzoku went to the bite of the problem as he had believed was important. The details were in the pudding. And pudding was as yen believed. Was and remained delicious.

"This induvidual through an lie detecting method i posess devulged the nature of his origins. An runaway from not just one system of shinobi,but in fact two systems. Given both hoshi and kumo as he stated. His credibility due to this is unreliable and poses more dangers then their uses."


Yen explained as he folded his hands under his chin and sighed softly.

" i wish there was another way, but By many facts I assume the better portion of his services is at the minimum is an expendable resource by now. Its for everyone's integrity lest he falls in the wrong hands you see. Much better to claim his death by simply setting him up for a task worth its weight in danger. While dutifully eliminating him from the equation at the same time. We could even simply mull a little money in his death by proof of burden from the other villages."

Yens point was simple. He was not a jerk to simply allow a wild card run loose, but he knew that if they did not comply it would bite them in the back.

"I also do not believe in loose canon's. If it fails he is dead snd blamed,if it susceeds. He dies and you get full credit."

Kinzoku was glad to see the Hokage did not mind divulging the information on why this Nara was to be eliminated. It would have made things more difficult for the Nazar had he not known. Turns on this kid was a missing nin. But not from just one village. From two. He had been a shinobi of both Kumo and Hoshi and now he found himself in the service of Konoha. Granted he was not a Konoha shinobi. But his was currently employed by Konoha for what Yensung was hoping to be a brief amount of time. He gave a simple nod to his Hokage acknowledging is words and showing that he understood why the deed must be done. Missing ninja, after all needed to be punished. Either by capture and imprisonment, or death. Yensung had taken it upon himself to choose the latter. The reward for doing so would undoubtedly be the ryo the Nara would be carrying. How much was unknown to the Nazar. But did it matter?

It was as Yen said. He was a loose canon and could not be trusted. Who's to say he wouldn't hop form Konoha and join Kirigakure after this? Or attempt to join his own with the filth currently residing in Suna. Either way, missing nin needed to be dealt with and this Nara was no exception to the rule just because his services were being used by Konoha for a short while.

If that were all and Yensung had no more to say to the Nazar, Kinzoku would get up from his seat and step to the side indicating his departure. "If there's anything, you know where to find me" Kinzoku stated, offering the Aburame any help he may need in his new position. With his brief experience, Kinzoku was willing to aid Yensung if need be. Although there was no shortage of Kage experience within the village. "I'll prep for the voyage in the meantime. Find the Nara and a third shinobi to join us. Be seeing ya, Lord-Hokage" he ended with as he brought his hat to his chest and gave the Aburame a bow before spinning on a foot and leaving the office.

With a bow to kinzoku yen took a moment to reflect on kinzokus words,but also the moment. He was hokage. Still it was unusual. He had many to answer to. But even then did he had to heed their call? Perhaps that was the real question. In this case he knew it was yes. A mistake he noted that while now looking at it. It made since why the previous kage grew complacent. They in turn held neither the village to the standard that was necessary to function.

we need leaders for tomarrow. Not just sitting in limbo and assuming things will fall into place. And if i am to lead. I must put konohas peices on the board. But i need a hand. Not only from kinzoku amd jason,but the villagers. We are one not seperate.

Yen thought as he brushed the desk and now turned to gaze at the village from the window.

we need purpose. Not blind resolution... we need info before our competitors do. We must know them better than themselves. Only then will we not be caught like kiri did. Only then will we steer konoha to the route of peace. First comes kiri.

Turning his gaze down towards the south west towards the location where kiri would be by the maps. A defiant challenge as he gazed as if seeing the village. The senarios going through his mind.

your move and you better make it count. Because the will of fire has not drowned. We will burn our mark into you.
