Team Baka's first hunt [HUNTER]

Mission Details

Taichi and the rest of team Baka were just off one of the dirt roads that were littered throughout the Fang forests. The team were out hunting for animals, or caravans, or both. Morning was nearing them as the sun was beginning to rise above Fang mountain. The clouds were dispersing, but there was a mist that hung over the area around their camp. Taichi stood up from where he was sleeping and bid Hiroaki good morning, he had the last shift of guard so he was already awake. Ember on the other hand was still sleeping by the fire that they had started the night before. 

Taichi's new armor that he finally decided to wear felt like he was walking through a cloud it was so comfortable he could hardly believe it. The helmet was cut in such a way he could still see through his peripherals and had little issue seeing. practiced a few taijutsu moves to see how well they would feel in this suit of armor. When Taichi felt good about how his suit felt. He began tearing down the camp so the group could leave.
 
The immediate area that there camp was located was on the edge of a circular clearing, measuring about 50 meters in diameter. The clearing was surrounded by thick woods. Along the other end of the clearing, there was a river that cut straight across the clearing. The river itself was 10 meters wide and had 10 meters to the far side of the river, and 30 meters to the near side, the side their camp was located.  The remainder of the clearing was covered in grass and great soil. A mist covered the entirety of the clearing, just thin enough to see to the other side of the clearing, but enough to notice that it was there.

Taichi turned and woke Ember for it was time for the group to tear down camp and get back on the road. There was a beautiful hunting ground that he wanted to show the group while they were already this far into the woods.

Hiroaki’s eyes were set out into the distance. It was hard to see anything in this mist, but he figured he would see at least an outline of a person approaching. He had been on watch for a good couple of hours. They had been taking their turns letting each other get some shut eye for a while now, not breaking schedule. Because they were strict with the schedule, Hiroaki was still good to stay up for a while more even while his shift was over. Taichi had woken up on time, his internal clock being set to wake up from the amount of times they had gone through these shifts by now. Their camping trip had lasted a good three days so far.

Taichi would greet Hiroaki with a good morning. Hiroaki didn’t respond to the man, he instead stayed staring out around him keeping silent. Taichi must had been used to Hiroaki’s behavior as he went to try on his new suit of armor that he had gotten. Hiroaki could hear the clanking of the heavy metal. ‘Can you be any louder’, he thought to himself. He figured it wasn’t that bad as he would be able to spot anything before they got close enough anyway. The 50 meter diameter that had encircled around them made this an advantage spot for them to get a good view of anyone. It did at the same time however, leave the three of them in the line of sight of anyone coming too.

From behind Hiroaki he could hear Taichi trying to wake Ember up. “Can’t you tell she needs her beauty sleep”, he muttered mockingly. He raised a piece of bread with his hand to his mouth and bit into it munching. He was crouching on top of the one tent they had set up. The tent of which was where Taichi was once sleeping. Ember for some reason had chosen to sleep outside along the side of the tent. That’s where Ember and Taichi were now. Hiroaki’s eyes strained for a second.

“We got trouble”, he stated. He saw a shadowy figure approaching them through the mist. He didn’t need another rug rat trying to rob him like what was done recently. “The person, whoever it is, is approaching from over there”, he said pointing to the figure. “They look to be alone, but you can never be sure. Best to assume they are hostile rather than not, now a days”, said Hiroaki. In the past, Hiroaki was the least trusting person out there. This had gradually changed with Akihana, the crew, and now Taichi and Ember. But with secrets that weren’t told before like Ember’s lineage and thefts like the kids who stole his pouch of money he didn’t know what to think. ‘If a friend is capable of lying to you, god knows about strangers’, he thought. 

Hiroaki kept his hands on the hilts of each of his two katanas, ready to draw them at a moments notice. His eyes would be looking at where the shadowy figure’s chest should be. His flak jacket was snug on tight with his jump pack attached to the back of it. One of his weapon pouches would be on his back and one on the right hip, right behind his katana’s sheath.

That was three days ago. If Ento had known that the senile old man was sending him on what was, for all intents and purposes, a wild goose chase he never would have agreed. Of course it didn't help any that the damn village chief was his father. Three days of searching the surrounding lands tracking what seemed to be a small group of maybe three or four individuals with nothing to show for his efforts except an empty stomach and the irritability that had come with it. This was by far one of his least favorite assignments he had ever been on for the old fool. Still, there was a logic to sending one of the more powerful village shinobi out after these rogues considering the potential danger they could cause and the havoc they could reap. Ento would have never sent one of the younger nin out to take care of this problem, so realistically he could understand where his father was coming from. He was just so sick of chasing ghosts already and wanted to be back home. Luckily for him, things were about to change.

It was very late, or very early depending on your perspective, on the third day when the Uchiha came across some fresh tracks. Three people had passed through there recently. They looked to be two men and a woman from what he could tell. Smiling at the thought of finally being able to take these idiots down and head back to a hot meal and warm bed, Ento made a quick hand seal and summoned a shadow clone to help him with the search. It wasn’t a normal shadow clones though. This one has a bit of an extra little kick to it, just in case. It took them another hour or so to find the camp in the heavy morning fog, but eventually they came upon it, their bodies tingling with battle energy as the anticipated conflict grew ever nearer. The hunter's quarry had apparently made camp on the edge of a fairly decent sized clearing about fifty meters or so across. A small river ran through the clearing near the opposite end from where the Uchiha's prey had made camp. He was grateful for the cover that the morning mist granted him, only being thin enough to see across the entire clearing before his vision obscured. Since the surrounding forest did much the same, he wasn't too worried about it.

The hunter had positioned himself and clone so that the distance between each of them, along with the tent, created a triangle with Ento positioned among the tree-line behind the trio of rogues, with the clone at the edge of the clearing directly to the group's right hand side. The clone coming from the right had suppressed its chakra and approached silently, while the original Ento, coming from the opposite side of the river, made no attempt to hide himself whatsoever. In fact, he had already unsheathed its sword and began shouting at the group to get their attention. He was spouting some nonsense about taking them all down in open combat to bring honor to his village blah blah blah. None of what it was saying was true, of course. His only goal was to keep the group distracted for as long as possible while the clone got close enough to launch a surprise attack.

The Uchiha, coming from the river side of the clearing continued to shout obscenities at the trio as he walked purposely forward into the clearing. The clone that had been approaching from the right of the group, still doing its best to move completely silent and undetected while keeping its chakra suppressed, would reach the edge of the clearing and stop. It was exactly 10 meters from the closest member of the group who seemed to be crouching on top of the tent somehow, clearly an impressive display of skill. The other two were only 5 or 6 meters behind the assumed acrobatic shinobi at the far edge of the tent. Unlike this clone, however, he was positioned roughly 40 meters behind the acrobat, and about 34 or 35 meters behind the remaining two.

"Fine! If you won't come over here and fight me, I'll just have to come to you!" the original shouted at the group as he charged forward with his sword held at the ready.

Meanwhile, at exactly the same time the original Ento had begun to shout 'Fine!', the clone on the right had finished the last of 5 hand seals while simultaneously being permeated by the surrounding natural energy that it had rapidly absorbed and releasing a 7cm diameter pitch-black sphere with a green tint surrounding the outer edges of it at the side of the tent directly beneath the acrobatic rogue perched on top of it. With their attention focused on the clone shouting and causing a ruckus, it was likely the trio wouldn't notice such a small sphere moving at such high speeds in time to dodge it correctly. Upon making contact with the side of the tent, the sphere would rapidly expand to cover an area of 35 meters in radius. If Ento were lucky, this fight would be over before it had even begun.

"A guest?" Taichi thought to himself as he was just finishing pissing on a tree to the side of the camp. There was a figure walking through the tree line, as if he was flanking the group from the side.  This mist wasn't helping his normal eyes, but he had activated his three tomoe sharingan to allow him to see the figure walking or running through the trees. Taichi knew that they were being ambushed and he was not screwing around with that.

Taichi formed two wood clones with the trees that were around him, and immediately went into action, all with Sharingan activated. There were three different figures that were encroaching on the group's camp. One coming from the center of the tree line into the clearing, and one that was flanking on the right side of the camp. When the figure was within range in the treeline, about forty meters away from the camp and where one of Taichi's clones was located, the first clone would send off a huge blast of fire,Majestic Fire Destruction. There would be a stream of fire from the clone's mouth, but upon impact with the clones's location, it would be a massive cloud of pure fire. Also causing the trees around the technique to begin to burn, causing the entire area surrounding the clones to be filled with a blazing inferno. Upon the clone's finishing performing the technique, while the stream of fire would still be ending it's being sent to the location of the clones, the clone would distance itself from the clones and ready itself for any type of counter attack, clone is now 10 meters away from Taichi on the right, and 40 meters away from the flanker's location.

At the same time of the first clone's attack, the second clone would see the third figure coming from the tree line and go into his phase of the counter attack. This clone would instantly see that this figure was 40 meters away from camp and from the trio, so he would perform the Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation technique, a cloud of fire from the beginning, it would start from the clone's mouth and would reach a width of 29 meters, burning anything that it may come into contact with. When the clone was done projecting the fire stream from its mouth, it would distance itself and ready itself for any kind of counter attack, this clone is now 10 meters to the left of Taichi and 45 meters away from the figure's location. 

The original Taichi, at the same time of both of these attacks, Taichi would ready himself for any kind of counter attack and would perform the Mayfly technique. With this technique, he would submerge his body into the Earth beneath him. He would be unable to be sensed by his opponent and he would be able to do this under the cover of the massive fire techniques that would be coming at the three attackers. He would then be able to know where everyone was with the Mayfly, and he would still have open telepathic capabilities with both of his wood clones on the surface.

From the beginning when Hiroaki would see the figure in the distance it was clear that they saw them too or at least knew of their presence. The figure was after all going straight to their location. ‘A little conceded’, thought Hiroaki. The man must have had the skills to back it up if they were indeed an enemy or was a drunk. Hiroaki would go with his usual tactics, the tactics of his ancestor. He went full speed, doing the Tiger seal and focused his chakra to mold the light around him. Hiding With Camouflage Technique was something he was proud of. He was invisible to the naked eye. 

He moved away from the top of the tent which he had balanced his weight on by crouching on one of the metal poles that extended upwards to keep the tent upright. ‘Like hell I’d make myself an easy target’, he thought. He went to the ground in front of the direction he had been facing, where he could clearly see a shadowy figure (The Uchiha) that had been coming for him. He never stopped looking at the figure’s chest. He didn’t know if the man was a Dojutsu user like his two comrades. Hiroaki swiftly knocked the entirety of the tent out of the ground with his strength that was the equivalent of lifting a truck, moving his arm left to right. The tent’s poles and wires coming out, the tent went flying away from the three ninja towards the groups right. Due to the fact Hiroaki was invisible, it would look like a gust of wind took a hold of it. 

The shadowy figure (“The Uchiha”) who would go shouting profanities along with whatever clones were in view of it, would see the tent get blown over with no sign of Hiroaki. The tent being sent flying at a speed of 100 and the strength of 40 as what Hiroaki put into the tent would, unbeknown to Hiroaki, clash with the explosive clone that was coming from the group’s right before it ever hit 10 meters. The strength behind the tent would threaten to envelope the clone in a bunch of cloth, metal, and strings pinning him down. Hiroaki moving at top speed would stay close to his allies while he was invisible. Taichi seemed to want to live by the better safe than sorry motto as he had clones and fire techniques that would be going off aimed at the enemies. Hiroaki would join Taichi, placing himself slightly behind Taichi himself. He would summon two clones of his own using Shadow Clone that would poof to the left (clone 1) and right (clone 2) of Ember seemingly protecting her. Clone 1 would weave the signs and cast Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death on any foe that got within the 20m range. Clone 2 would focus on casting False Darkness at any of the enemies that might go airborne to dodge Taichi’s ground attacks, or enemies that somehow survived getting hit by the fire attack. Neither of the clones would meet the enemy in the eyes and would look at the chest, arms and hands. Hiroaki would know the direction of all foes because of one, the direction of the attacks Taichi made while Sharingan enhanced. Two, the mist was light to begin with, giving at the least an outline of figures. And three, the fire from Taichi's fire attacks would lift the mist (heat rises and will further affect the water of mist as the mist was natural and not chakra enhanced). Hiroaki himself, while invisible would withdraw his Akai Kumo blade and have it at the ready for any close range attacks. Soon he would see Taichi disappear into the ground.

My Understanding:

After seeing how the admin of this site wishes to treat Hiroaki, I have determined that head staff does not care about facilitating the progression of players. The fact that in post one of combat the ADMIN tried to blitz (against the rules) in his first post then tried his damn hardest to vague manipulate Hiroaki's death by a teammate is very telling as to what kind of leadership this place is under.

While I don't feel personally wronged in any way, I cannot condone these blatant abuses of power. I advise anyone reading this to look at what happened to Hiroaki and think of whether they want to still play if the admin ruled their death in a similar fashion.

how taichi kills hiroaki:

Moving silently through the woods, sure of himself that the plan would work, the clone was surprised to feel a spike in chakra coming from one of his targets. Looking in the direction of the tent, he saw one member of the group off to the side of the tent pissing on a tree before stopping abruptly and creating two clones from the surrounding trees to his right. From the way he was facing, the only trees capable of producing a clone were a bit in front of and behind him and directly to his right. With no hesitation, the wood clone in front began spewing a stream of fire in the direction of the clone. Not wanting to let the original to be caught by surprise, it quickly dispelled itself once it was hidden from view before the flames reached him.

A sudden flood of memories came to Ento as the clone dispelled itself. He too had felt the quick spike in chakra and now knew exactly the reason for that. ”Interesting,” he said, noting the location of the target and its clones slightly to the left of him, directly to the right of the rear end of the tent. Of course, other than activating his Sharingan at the same time he saw the acrobatic rogue begin to disappear, all he did was activate a defensive Jutsu before the flames reached him and continue walking on his path to go through the large cloud of flames coming his way after that was done. He had dropped the wildly arrogant facade of calling them out by now.

When the flames cleared away the first thing Ento noticed was that the one using great fire annihilation, for he recognized the technique as one he was capable of using himself, was either wildly incompetent, had a grudge against the acrobat, or just made a costly mistake. Similarly, the acrobat seemed equally as incompetent, judging from the charred remains on the ground where he had jumped down and actually turned further into the line of fire. It was a shame, really, that he had been denied the opportunity to finish the boy himself. Well, as long as they all fell in the end he supposed it didn’t really matter how. There were only the two wood clones remaining now, the original of that technique seemingly gone. He had vanished completely from Ento’s sensory range as well. The last member of the group, the female, seemed to be the only one showing any amount of competency as she remained near the rear of the tent and out of the area of effect of her comrades jutsu while creating two clones of her own, one of which had apparently decided to charge him. Either the girl was brilliant or lucky to send the clone in first. At the very least it showed a competency with the technique, using it to try to glean information about her enemy. Where irritation had taken hold of Ento before, now there was a sort of excitement and anticipation. This fight might prove to be quite fun if things kept going how they have so far.

Stopping about 10 meters away from the charging rogue, Ento would simply smile and say ”My turn,” as he finished a single hand seal of his and expelling from his mouth the same jutsu that had just been intended to turn him into charcoal. The cone only lasted about a foot or so in front of him before expanding on either side to reach a width of 30 meters, and was just as tall. It would continue to expand outward and upward as it traveled forward enveloping everything in its path until it reached its maximum size of 50 meters wide and 50 meters tall once it reached a distance of 70 meters before stopping. With his sensory skills on alert for the one that had disappeared, the Uchiha would continue to hold the stream, pouring more and more chakra into it for as long as he could, unless of course something miraculous happened to make him cut it short

The Great Fire Annihilation that Taichi's second clone performed would clear and the opponent walked straight through it. Figuring he must have had some sort of jutsu covering his body, being that they could see a shroud of chakra covering him, they knew what their plan would have to be at this time. The clones would be ten meters away from each other, and 30 meters away from the opponent that stood on the other end of the clearing. One clone would begin sprinting toward the enemy at full speed. The first clone would stay at 30 meters away from the opponent before touching his hand to the ground after performing the bird seal. Earth spears would come out of the ground directly underneath the opponent, stopping him from performing whatever technique he had in mind, or choosing to have himself impaled by the Earth Release:Rock Pillar Spears.


The second clone would be standing directly in front of his fallen comrade Hiroaki when he began his sprinting toward the opponent. As he stepped over his comrade, he grabbed his regular katana in one fluid motion of stepping over him, continuing forward toward the opponent at full speed. The clone reaches 20 meters at the same time the first clone is placing his hand on the ground. The second clone, being sure that the opponent would dodge the technique, or most likely not be affected due to the chakra shroud, added in it's own attack by performing the Tiger seal, using the technique, Great Fireball Shower and sending 5 fireballs directly for the opponent, he would continue sprinting towards him while controlling the fireballs to curve, just in case the opponent dodges.

The first clone, immediately after touching the ground for the Earth Spear technique, would continue by performing Katon: Phoenix Fire technique. This would launch six fire balls directly for the opponent, in the case of him deciding to dodge the Earth spears, this would be in addition to the five larger fireballs that the second clone had sent out toward the opponent's direction. Just after the six fireballs would leave the first clone's body, he would then perform the Hidden Mist technique to create a thick mist, but not thick enough that the first clone would be able to see his teammate's bodies. 


This is when the fire balls from the first clone would arrive at the opponent's location, just after the earth spears would have come up from the ground, The first clone would be 31 meters away from the opponent, beginning to run towards his teammates, 


The second clone would be still 15 meters away from the opponent. the second clone would immediately have a tidal wave of water go from his location and surge in every direction for 25 meters. Then he would slam his palm in the water after performing the hand seals for the Rain Sharks technique, just as the surge of water was coming off of his location. Another surge of water would explode upwards, and as the water came down directly onto the opponent's location, countless sharks made out of water would be coming down, looking to eat the opponent alive. 


The second clone would perform the one with the water technique to merge with the surge of water coming off of his location to transport his body quickly, directly next to the opponent undetectable, using his fallen comrades Katana to attempt to slice the head clean off of the opponent once he would reach the position his opponent was in, slicing at his neck as he came out of the water. 


The first clone would sent the small fireballs directly for the location of the opponent, being at a wider angle from the second clone, he was sure not to hit him, also being that the fireballs would be arriving at the opponent's position just before the second clone would be within striking range of the opponent, the second clone would be safe from the first clone's fireballs. 


While the opponent was dealing with all the fireballs that had come to his location. The first clone would have already changed direction, grabbing the Akai Kumo from Hiroaki's body, and also grabbing both eyes from Ember's body, knowing she had unlocked the Mangekyo in both. The second clone would then Body Flicker out of the location and eye sight of the opponent, fleeing from the opponent. Taichi realized that he was most likely not able to best this opponent. Figured he would take some mementos from his fallen comrades, before dashing out of there as quickly as he could. 


The first clone would be just within range to not be dispelled by the range of the wood clone jutsu, so Taichi would allow the second clone to complete his barrage of attacks. The moment the slice for the head was complete, or at any time the first clone's barrage was interrupted by a counter attack, Taichi would use his Mayfly technique to get to the first clone's location, gathering the items that he got from Ember and Hiroaki's body by partially emerging for a moment, then going back into the ground, dispelling his clone or clone's. He would continue underground until he was a safe distance from the opponent and the war that had just been waged.

The flames cleared to reveal the bodies of both the acrobat and the woman both charred to be near unrecognizable. Whatever they had done to the remaining member of the group to warrant such brutality was a mystery, though Ento wouldn’t mourn their deaths. After all, they were all going to die anyway. At least now he could focus his attention on the two remaining clones and their original who had disappeared.

Sheathing his sword, Ento watched as one of the clones dashed forward, picking up one of the swords dropped by the acrobat as he did so, while the other one simply placed his hand on the ground. Thankfully, due to the innate properties of the Sharingan that he had mastered years ago, he had been able to predict their movements. Smiling to himself as his crimson eyes registered what was about to happen, he made a single seal with his right hand while simultaneously dashing forward himself. The ground beneath the Uchiha’s back foot caved under the immense pressure used during his take off, leaving a small crater behind to mark the spot he had been a mere moment before.

The tip of Ento’s left index finger was already glowing with focused chakra by the time his dash began, having charged it in the same instant he had finished his hand seal, before the further clone had completely placed its hand on the ground. His mouth had twisted up an a wolfish grin seeing the teamwork the two clones were demonstrating, thinking of how fun this fight could be if they didn’t disappoint him.

Not bothering to dodge the several balls of fire flying at him, knowing it was highly unlikely they could do him any harm at all due to his chakra shroud still active, Ento would activate one of his favorite techniques and cause a large explosion of fire chakra to radiate outward from him at an incredible speed which he had begun at exactly at the same time he finished the handseal, and started his dash. His goal was the further clone, who happened to be directly in line with the closer one. Unfortunately for the closer one, who had also been dashing straight at Ento, it would be blown to dust by the fiery blast before it even got within striking distance.

His single dash had taken him through the initial barrage of fire balls, through the ashes left of the closer clone, through the second set of fireballs, stopping directly in front of the further clone before the Phoenix Fire technique had made it to the Hunter’s original position. Having stopped with the index finger of his left hand pointing at the clones chest from less than a foot away at his hip, a six inch wide beam of pure offensive chakra would shoot at an incredible speed from his finger tip to pierce through and destroy the clone, probably before it even had time to register what was happening, since the jutsu would have been released simultaneously upon the end of Ento’s Body Flicker.

Assuming this all went through, and knowing the original must still be somewhere nearby in order to still have his clones active, the Uchiha’s crimson eyes would scan the field, darting this way and that, left and right, up and down, as he searched for any sign of his remaining enemy.
