It was time for something a little different today.

Dana strolled down the streets of Kirigakure, a vacant smile on her face. Today was certainly going to be different, as she was apparently going to go fight and apprehend a criminal who had been stealing some stuff from all around the Village. Dana wasn't exactly worried, but she was... Apprehensive was probably the right word. She'd never been in an actual fight before, and the mission she'd undertaken today was a far step up from cleaning a statue or removing a tree. She wasn't scared of dying, but she didn't want to disappoint her friends by disappearing from their lives. There was still a lot of stuff she wanted to accomplish, after all.

The thief had been spotted multiple times around the financial district of Kirigakure, so that was where Dana made her way too. She'd attempted to dress a little more inconspicuously than usual - wearing just a simple fleece and jeans - but that probably wouldn't do much considering her large chakra reserves. She arrived at the long road with the bank on it and stopped for a moment whilst she looked around for anyone suspicious. How was she even going to find this person? She had no idea, but she was banking on the thief just showing up which, now that she thought about it, wasn't a particularly good plan.

As it turned out, banking on the thief just showing up was the perfect plan, especially considering how badly he'd just messed up. The sound of blaring alarms and ringing bells rang throughout the misty streets of Kirigakure leading to the bank. It was getting rather late in the evening, and the last dregs of sunlight were spilling through the fog that hung over the village. If one had to wager a guess, one more hour of sunlight would be a good bet. Because of how late it was getting, there weren't very many people out and about amidst the streets. Good for Taka, considering what had just happened.

"Shit, shit, shit!"

He spoke those words repeatedly to himself as he barreled away from the bank behind him, a bag of ryo strapped to his back as his shoes clicked and clacked against the tile street. Taka had no idea what had happened. He'd broken in through an air vent and snuck into the vault. He'd hardly gotten a single back before he was caught. Not by a shinobi no, he could bare that. No, he'd gotten caught by ONE STUPID SECURITY GUARD! The fool had hit the alarm before Taka could do anything about it, and now he had no choice but to run.

His pride was deeply wounded by that, but there were bound to be authorities on his tail soon if they weren't already. He wasn't particularly strong either, so a fight would likely end poorly for him. His best bet was to lie low for a while, maybe wait for a couple off months until the village forgot all about him. Maybe then he'd try again.

It was a long, basic road he was travelling down. Mostly empty as well, with very few bystanders left by. Roughly 50 meters in length and 30 meters and width. Taka was 5 meters from the western edge of the road and 10 meters into it, running north from the bank with money in tow. Unbeknownst to him, his opponent was 5 meters from the eastern edge, 20 meters ahead of him. She had a clear view of his panicked run from the bank, and could easily see the bag of money strapped to his back.

His eyes scanned each side of the road, watching for threats. Take could feel it deep in his bones, that it was not a matter of if, but WHEN his opponent came out to strike. The question was, who is it?

Dana's brain finally caught up with the situation as the bank robber blew past her, apparently having been in too much of a rush to notice her prior to doing so. That wasn't to say that she hadn't been paying attention beforehand - she was sure she'd have noticed an attack headed her way or something - just, nothing had really been properly registering in her mind until now. It seemed that wearing some actual normal clothes for once had paid off, and it also helped that he'd never gotten close enough to sense the power of her chakra. This worked in her favour, though, since it would allow her to shoot her first round of attacks without being spotted by the robber.

Thus, the moment she was out of his eye line which was about 1-meter north from where she would have been horizontal to him, Dana immediately activated Trifle Of The Senju to bolster the strength of her chakra. At the same time, her left hand started to do the hand seals Boar, Ox, Serpent, Snake, and Horse followed by her leaning over to slam the ground with her palm, her body and gaze facing towards the sprinting robber as she did so. Immediately, an earthquake originating from 1-meter in front of Dana would start to spread out, extending out to the full 30x30-meter meter cube at a speed and power of 130. Thankfully all the civilians had cleared from the area, including the buildings that would be caught in the earthquake's area of effect, so none were caught in the crossfire. Though, truth be told, that probably wouldn't have stopped Dana anyway.

At the same time as she started the other hand seals, Dana's right hand would be going through the seals Tiger, Dragon, Rabbit, and Monkey. Whilst slamming the ground with her left palm, Dana's right hand would finish the final seal Snake and 2 2-meter diameter branches would sprout from the ground at a speed and power of 130 and immediately shoot towards Taka, following him if he tried to dodge. Both the branches had originated 3-meters from Dana, 1 to her left and the other to her right. Of course, the branches wouldn't attempt to follow Taka if he ended up positioning himself in a way that meant they would end up attacking Dana.

Dana would be keeping a close eye on her opponent this whole time and was ready to change her actions as needed. All actions not with a not stated speed or power can be assumed to be done at max.

It took 20 meters of Taka running for his opponent to recognize that he was most likely the one that she would be fighting. A bit of a slow reaction on her part, though it wasn't as though Taka was aware of her identity as the one sent to catch him, so he couldn't pass judgement. Especially since he was just now realizing that there was a surprising lack of buildings on either side of the street, being an incredibly large distance of 35 meters off to either side of the road. Even Taka could tell that was an odd architectural arrangement, though he supposed that he was no urban planner.

It was when he had gone 21 meters forward when he heard the sound of roaring earth a mere meter behind him. Panic filled his mind as he stopped his movement and weaved a set of hand seals, Ram, Bird, and Tiger, completing his hand seals before turning to bare witness to the scene unfolding behind himself and activating it. The girl on the opposite end of the road 20 meters away had launched two techniques, sending a wave of shaking earth and trees at him.

Concerning, but one major flaw in his opponent's strategy. His opponent was taking care to keep watch of his movements, and left themself a wide berth in their technique to maintain full sight of the thief. And with Taka having weaved his jutsu before turning around, the girl would have no way of determining the nature of his jutsu based off his hand seals.

As he turned, blue butterflies erupted into existence around his body at jutsu speed*, which would easily be visible to his opponent, placing them immediately under his spell. His opponent would be compelled to chase the butterflies surrounding Taka's body, compelling them forward towards into their own Tearing Earth Palm. Though Taka was no fool. Her sense of distance warped, making the edge of the earthquake seem 10 meters away instead of the 1 it truly was. Additionally, because of just how far she'd placed her branches from herself, there was no risk of her running into them before she ran into her Tearing Earth Palm, meaning they would continue to follow Taka.

Should his opponent be unable to resist, they would step forth into their own technique, breaking their legs in a clean fracture under strength damage guidelines, and suffering 65 damage.

Of course, this was all highly theoretical. After all, in the time it took for Taka to turn around and weave his jutsu, the tearing earth palm would only have been able to move roughly 1.5 meters, leaving him 17.5 meters left of breathing room before he was in trouble from the opponent's jutsu. He was perfectly willing to alter his course of action should his plan not work however.

(Claiming hit because of the sentence "the sound of roaring earth a mere meter behind him" and the fact that he only has 20 speed, so the TETP would reach him by the time he completed the handseals and turned around even if moving as fast as he could. Also the sentence "After all, in the time it took for Taka to turn around and weave his jutsu, the tearing earth palm would only have been able to move roughly 1.5 meters" further seals the deal since it only had to move 1-meter to overtake his position.)

The sound of roaring earth filled the streets and somehow, the thief didn't seem to notice it until it was right behind him. The moment he turned to face Dana his world would become a blinding flash of white-hot pain as Dana's Tearing Earth Turning Palm caught up to him and crushed his legs under their raw power, taking 130 damage instantly.  Since Dana's two trees had been traveling at the same speed, albeit starting from a position slightly behind the Earth Jutsu, they too would arrive soon after and deal another 130 damage to the thief, their two sharp points pointing together to both pierce through the front of his stomach together. She made sure to stop them so that none of his chest was destroyed in doing so  This only being possible because of their tips being pointed, rather than just a blunt surface.

Unfortunately for the man, due to the way Dana had guided her two branches together and the fact that they had a diameter of 2-meters, Dana's view of the butterflies was obscured and thus she was never enraptured in the genjutsu. If she was, then it wouldn't matter since Dana would have ended the TETP the moment after her two branches had collided with the man, and his life was taken alongside them. Just in case the man had somehow managed to dodge Dana's branches, she activated Great Grasping Vines without handseals whilst still under the influence of her booster. Immediately a flower grew on the outside of both of her ankles, and one more grew on both of her wrists. She then waited to see what would happen next, if anything.

And with that, it was over. Somehow the man was incapable of recognizing that there was an earthquake approaching him until it was a mere meter behind himself. Rather foolish in retrospect, though it wasn't as though he could do anything considering that he had been turned into a shish kebab.

He died almost instantly, his legs breaking almost the instant he turned around, and his stomach getting perforated mere moments after. He didn't even have time to process what was happening before he blacked out, and he died of blood loss mere instants afterwards.

And that was that.

The flowers along Dana's body wilted away, as did the rest of her techniques. The road was a mess of torn-up earth, trees, and now blood splattered across the cobbled road. Dana smiled and breathed a small sigh of relief and dusted her hands off. She couldn't wait to tell all her friends about her first actual fight! Would Ai be proud? She seemed like the kind of mentor figure who would be. Mmm, Dana could do with a steak right about now. She felt she deserved it after getting into a potentially dangerous fight, and she'd earned a lot of money!

Dana skipped over to the body, almost slipping on the viscera, and knelt down next to it. She had no idea if this guy's body would be worth anything but it wouldn't hurt to store in one of the corpse storage scrolls she'd recently acquired. Funny how things like that work, huh? No matter, after sealing the guy's holey corpse into the scroll she waved a blood-covered hand towards the various denizens of Kirigakure who were starting to return to the area of the fight. They looked a bit perturbed by the sight of Dana kneeling over some guts and stuff but she didn't mind too much.

Happy with the outcome of the day, Dana went to go have a quick shower and then have a nice steak!
