Another Training Session (SOLO)

A cloudy day in Kirigakure, the clouds making the sky a dark place nearly absent of sunshine. This was normal for Kirigakure though, the only thing that was missing was a thick mist to cover the islands. On this day a particular island, one that appeared flat and was only about twenty by thirty meters, this island was the focal point for Minato who had made his way onto the island. His usual book in hand as he stopped in the center of the island, he finished reading his chapter and closed the literature placing it in his trench coat pocket. A small sigh as he adjusted his spectacles followed by him performing the seal of the tiger, water quickly swirled into two pillars forming into water clones each Minato standing two meters from each other. They all agreed the clones would be known as A and B whilst Minato kept his name, they stood like identical statues holding their calm posture as they looked at each other.

A deciding the stalemate should come to and end, charged Minato with a strike to the chest with his right hand. Minato was able to swat away the strike and retaliate with a rising knee to A’s chin, though he was unprepared for the leg sweep B performed from behind, knocking Minato off his feet crashing to his back. A was able to turn the momentum from the knee into a backflip landing on his feet with his hands showing the tiger seal, activating the Temporary Paralysis Technique on B who was now frozen from the jutsu. Minato quickly jumped to his feet and charged A, the two colliding with their hands interlocked pushing against each other. His focus taken allowing B to free himself from the paralysis and join the conflict, he crashed into the fight with a drop kick to A’s face making him crash and tumble across the ground and into the nearby water that surrounded the island. A dispersed turning back to water and disappearing from the training battle, B and Minato now locked in combat trading blows with each other. Minato landing a blow to B’s right cheek busting it into water, this of course causing B to disperse into a puddle of water in front of Minato.

With the little sparring match at an end Minato stood alone in the center of the island, a slight pant as he recovered slightly from his scuffle. Placing his hands together once again signing the Tiger seal causing a single clone to form exactly 3 meters in front of himself, the clone speaking “Well let’s get down to it then, I will do my best.” He then locked eyes with Minato awaiting this second training match to begin, but this time there would be more aggression and focus on the battle.

Minato’s feet began to slide across the ground slowly, he was preparing to charge the clone in a frontal assault. The clone’s eyes flickered from his feet back to Minato’s eyes, he positioned his hands in front of his body in a defensive stance hoping to be prepared for the spar ahead. Minato charged forward allowing his arms to move freely, though they were forced back in the speed of his movement, he was allowing the relaxed nature to happen in his arms for quicker reaction time from them. Closing in this 3 meter gap near instantaneously, Minato aimed a right handed palm strike, a strike in which the hand is held at a 90 degree angle of the back side of his wrist whilst the fingers are curled in at the center knuckles, aimed at his neck this would allow for a solid force impact if successful. However in Minato’s case, the palm strike was deflected by the Clone who used his right forearm to shield his neck and take the blunt force. The impact immediately followed by Minato doing a thigh height sweep kick with his left leg, using his shin bone as the area of impact against the opponent’s right thigh. The Clone unable to react in time was knocked tumbling backwards, able to only sink the tips of his fingers into the ground and stop himself from crashing into the water behind him. Minato not wasting any time as he began to sign away on a new jutsu, with both hands together he signed the seal of the Bird. The Clone looking up from the sand of the island’s beach, he realised the jutsu that Minato was planning to attempt in this fight and decided to try as well. Jumping to his feet signing the Bird seal and gathering chakra as quickly as he could, the two of them watching as the water in the air began to gather together in front of them. The water at first becoming blobs of floating water less than a meter from themselves, the water blobs starting to slowly form star like shapes though none appearing sharp or shaped like proper shuriken. Minato who was ahead of the Clone was beginning to form the first proper water shuriken, while the other nine blobs of water began to move vigorously. The Clone now completing his first water shuriken, both Minato and the Clone began to grin as they held their signs. The two standing roughly 10 meters from one another, the blobs of water around both of them beginning to take there more accurate shuriken shapes. With the final shuriken formed Minato used his chakra to fire the shuriken at a maximum speed sending 5 shuriken in a curve trajectory to the left and the other 5 to the right, The Clone finishing just a second after and doing the same aiming his shuriken to collide with Minato’s in an attempt to nullify the attack. However Minato used his chakra manipulation to cause one shuriken on the left to barely miss one of the Clone’s shuriken and in turn remain on target with his right artery in his neck, the Clone surprised was unable to maintain the shuriken that didn’t make contact and it was allowed to disperse to nothing but water. The Clone threw his right hand in the way of the shuriken allowing it to stab into the backside of his hand, water running from his hand like blood as he watched the shuriken burst to water inside his fresh flesh wound.

The Clone’s hand now split from the water shuriken dripping with water in place of a normal man’s blood, lowering his hand to his side as the water dripped a fairly large puddle around his feet. Minato smirking at the success of his attack against the Clone, who was now in a stance to protect against the next optional attack. Minato once again shifting his feet in the ground below, getting a footing on the ground and ready to start the fight. The clone smirked as he spoke “Well can’t believe I failed to read myself, That should be a little embarrassing shouldn’t it?” to which Minato let out a slight chuckle, followed by a charge at his Clone with the intention of lethal force. The Clone tightening up his defense as Minato closed in for a lethal strike, trying to determine where this attack would be targeted on his body. With his right hand firm and fingers extended Minato closed the gap between them, swinging upward with a jab at the Clone’s jugular with lethal force. A slam could be heard as the Clone caught his hand with his left hand, but was caught in the stomach by Minato’s off hand causing him to spit up water. Stumbling back holding his stomach the Clone released the jutsu which bound him to the world and collapsed into a puddle of water on the once battlefield, Minato then returned to a comfortable position taking out his book and continuing to read as he turned and headed towards home.
