First wind blade

Looking around the land that she got washed to by the waves, everything is still in the works. Essentials are around but it is nowhere near the stage where one will relax, Yuri looked at the chakra pillars that is meant to support structures that connects themselves with the hills of the dead volcanoes. Back there all she did was slack around in an enclosed haven, but everything changed when Haru went missing and Ren dead; It became a desert in mind. It isn't too far away from the reality she found herself in where life here isn't too far away from living in a desert except where the temperature is actually not as hot. Other than the momentum of the area, the barren state of the land also encouraged activity to be created. However, Yuri needed to get back to how she was for now.

Back in the grand library surrounded by a liquid dome, Yuri knew of the basic cutting technique she wanted to add to her arsenal; Now she would be needing it back badly after a period of long procrastination that nearly led to her demise. She looked at the hardworking builders; She needed to train for it again. In a flick of a moment, she did the bird handseal single-handed and swiped in front of her where no target lies in sight; Nothing happened. She knew that she had to go back to square one again.

Yuri had been sitting down and trying to focus for a few hours ever since her attempt to get a mark on the tree in front of her. All the attempts from her ended up as different stages of failure; Breeze to the target, nothing from her hand. She could not figure out her cause nor she could call out to anybody for help, not just yet. To go into better combat heights, Yuri needs to learn this technique as a base for many to come. Having failures after failures, Yuri decides to take a break at one of the taller trees. She looked at the canopy of trees and felt that her shortcomings had come a long way, just like us; Lacking the focus required. Until she could surpass the barrier herself, things would remain the way they are. She gets into sitting with her legs crossed on the ground and focus her chakra gathering to her right hand. This paves her memories way back to when her instructor gave her the first challenge to gathering chakra. Her head looks up; That was long ago.....

Yuri closed her eyes and felt itchy. Scratching her back, her chakra disperse again, adding to her frustration. She decides to go blank for moment as she felt the amount of distractions is keeping her from fulfilling her goal. This was when her other stronger teammate taps lightly on her left forearm. She looked at her with the tired look; Feeling like she should just let the task live for another day. She asked Yuri to come with her which Yuri felt that she could definitely use a change of place. They moved to a peaceful section of the camp where nobody was around except them and there is a small pond with trees surrounding; It was the back of the camp where its sides were guarded so that it would take the really courageous for the enemies to come from the back. As they still have time before their assignment, Yuri was told to fulfill her goal here and now and sat on a small rock nearby to supervise her. In order to thank her, Yuri got to the task immediately. She sat down and began gathering her chakra after closing her eyes, she could feel the difference from other previous attempts where she would be disturbed by chatters in low volume Yuri; Now it would be the insects and only them. She focused and gathers what she could all to her right arm....

She got back to her back against the tree that she had been trying to get a mark on; She felt that the answer revealed herself in her sleep. She decided to look around for a better spot; Maybe one with a pond just like back then. She moved around the unfamiliar place she had been brought to by the seas and eventually got to the shore and wondered if the thought of her past comrades kept her distracted; Now she would be trying to get past the distraction at the shores though she would still need something to gauge. Looking at the birds flying past the island, an idea came to her; It's not about killing passing birds.

Yuri came back from her answer, she first tried such a thing with her right hand and later on against the passing winds themselves. She looked around for a nearby section of a volcano's foot which wasn't too hard though she would only stop searching for one where it is not threatening the safety of others who are doing their job here and there. Everywhere, there would be someone carrying at least a portion of what looks like a pillar. Eventually she reached a section where peace resides, nothing from the commotion of instructions exchanging themselves with request for the next instruction. There isn't a pond now and nearest shore is quite a walk away though given her experience by now distractions are not nearly enough to impede her progress now.

Gathering her chakra at her right hand now, Yuri performed a focused swipe 10 meters away from the target wall; A small part of the volcano's foot. The uneven wall got a crack from her attempt, she could feel the technique usage coming back now. She tried forming several smaller blades of wind from air and hit at the wall again, it created small but deep scratches as she expected. It is as she wanted, and now she is one step closer to the final form that she visualized.
