Avulsion by Bite [Travel]

It's been a rough couple of months, and Inoshishi has the scrapes and the grime to prove it. Fang has hardly been a comfortable home for her, but it still pains her somewhat to scamper from it with her tail between her legs. As she boards the sturdy fishing boat, she looks out over the overcast, chilly docks and wistfully wonders if she could come back someday, on better terms.

"Here y'are, sir," Inoshishi says, pressing the wad of ryo into the fisherman's hands. The tall, gruff man, armed with a stern brow and prodigious salt and pepper moustache, nods curtly to her. She's paying far more than she should be to get this ride, but Inoshishi's never been... socially gifted. The money is having to pull double duty and talk for her. Every other attempt she's made to get off this island, they've smelled trouble on her from a mile away and steered quite clear - Inoshishi can hardly blame them. This man's a little braver, and Inoshishi's payment a little more generous.

"Yeah, yeah. Just don't make me regret it, alright?"

"Right."

He gives a guffaw. "I don't just mean trouble following you, either. You're gonna need to learn how to fish mighty quick, lass."

...Inoshishi smiles a bit, at that.
