What A Idiotic Assassin [B-Ranked Mission] Empty What A Idiotic Assassin [B-Ranked Mission]

B Ranked Mission Here
https://www.narutoroleplaygame.com/t43565-advanced-guard-duty

It would be another simple mission. Gods he had hoped it would be another simple mission but the makings of the task at hand could get exceptionally nasty. It could also be nothing more than some simple guard duty, but that was a doubt on the mind of the short feminine shinobi boy travelling his native lands towards his destination. Two rather gruff and experienced looking jounin guards stood to each side of the incredibly large village gates, designed in a saloon esc double door setup, reaching up to what could be twenty to twenty five meters high. It appeared they might have been gone off into space, mentally checked out for the time being. Zieg recalled his days of having the pleasure of being in these two people’s places. Many thoughts often ran through his head about this or that and the type of jobs where he had this kind of downtime were more favorable to the type of mission he had today. He could amuse himself for an undetermined amount of time and rather easily at that. One of the jounin, a huskier heavy set man must have had his shinobi training kick in at either the sound of Zieg’s footsteps or simply picked up on the presence he had.

“Huh.” he murmured in a low tone to himself upon the realization that someone was approaching and he now had to do part of his job. His eyes searched out from under bushy eyebrows to get a closer look. The other ninja must have picked up on something from what his partner had started to notice. The more slim and clean shaven jounin looked to Zieg, his partner swiftly perhaps for some kind of reassurance and then to Zieg again. They both inspected briefly before realizing who the fellow Kirigakure shinobi was and both lifted their hands to greet Zieg respectively as he neared them. The honey like orbs looked to the two ninja briefly before nodding his head slightly to return the silent greeting. This was typically how Zieg often greeted shinobi in passing. They spoke most of the time with a, “hello” or something of that nature and Zieg simply nodded silently and went about his business. A man of few words some would say behind his back as he passed. In a joking manner that is.

The weather was exceptionally nice today, as it was many days in the land of waves. The oceans surrounding the islands were more still than usual. An occasional breeze flew through the lands, carrying with it the salty smell of the ocean and lush trees and grasslands that made up a large part of the makeup that was the nation surrounded by waves. As Zieg stepped outside the village he took in a deep breath. His new homeland smell, familiar and sweet, filled his small nostrils and lungs. It would be a bit of a trip to the city he was designated to meet his client in. The Mizukage left this mission specifically to him, via a note he left on his desk. Himself not being present and possibly won't be for some time. It was important this client was safe and taken care of, as he was an essential businessman who owned a rather popular fabric chain. He supposedly clothed a majority of the entire nation. Understandably someone who could put themselves in this position is bound to make a few enemies. Enemies willing to do whatever it takes to cut him out of picture in a permanent way. There was not much more information about the man himself. Just a picture of him with the note.

The businessman appeared to be in his late 30s. He appeared to have begun balding, his hairline nonexistent to the human eye. He seemed to settle the matter with a twin ducktail style of hair, raising rather high on his head. The blond appeared to be fading slightly, as though bleached one too many times. His eyes were hidden behind round black shades that sat firmly on his face, which had a big toothy smile on it. One of his front teeth appeared to have been replaced with a gold one, with a ryo sign detailed onto it. He looked like a real charmer, the Uchiha thought to himself before sliding the note and picture into his back pocket, which was empty for such oddities he might come across through his daily activities. His travel would be a somewhat long and definitely silent one. He allowed his thoughts to entertain him until he was within the city, some several dozen miles away from Kirigakure.

Zieg felt his shoulders get heavier from the metaphorical weight he felt was tossed on him after seeing the city that was chosen for the meeting place. It was a lively and bustling city, filled from street to street with businessman and shopper alike. This city in particular was known for its many different plazas and shopping districts, as well as restaurants and entertainment. It was truly a city a weaker man could come to and spend every last ryo he had and still crave more of the cities wonders and pleasures. Why on earth would the client want to stay here of all places with a suspicion someone would be coming to assassinate him was beyond Zieg’s comprehension and logical abilities. It made zero sense to him. He merely continued silently on his way to the Honey Dew Inn, a rather popular and large inn even for the city it was in which housed many of the same establishments. This all had the makings of a very simple and easy mission, Zieg thought to himself in his head.

Deciding it would be faster to travel by his preferred method of getting from one place to another he took to the top of buildings, avoiding all of the traffic as he did to get to the Honey Dew Inn. It wouldn’t be long before he arrived. The Honey Dew Inn look just as glamorous and pretentious as the people who were walking into it. Scantily dressed young women around the arms of older businessman and other less savory looking fellows entered and exited as Zieg approached the entrance doors. He stood out like an orange bill on a green hat in the grand scope of things. Easily identifiable if some cosmic god were to be playing its version of where’s waldo. Mechanical sliding doors automatically opened for the young Uchiha ninja as he approached and closed behind him when he entered. The inside of the inn was immaculate. Shining silver chandeliers hung from a ceiling that had to have been maybe 40 meters high. An array of assorted furniture was placed about the main floor of the inn where guests took pleasure in conversation with acquaintances in them merrily. A large desk was a few feet away from Zieg. Behind it two incredibly dapper and well dressed clerks awaited any guests to come for their services diligently and patiently. The ninja approached them.

Both their eyes, almost in unison widened as they placed them upon Zieg. He was by far the strangest looking person they had seen today. Even the local gang members and trouble makers dressed in a less suspicious fashion. Zieg himself noticed their judgmental looks and as though they sensed exactly that they straightened themselves and prepared to serve the odd looking man just the same as any who needed their assistance.
“Hello.” Zieg said softly, now standing within talking distance of the two clerks. They both smiled and greeted him in unison.

“Welcome to the Honey Dew Inn! Would you like a room for the day?” The two voices came together to make a rather interesting and harmonic sounding pair of workers. One voice high with another lower, they must have decided to work the mimicking act for whatever reason. Zieg bothered not to think about it more than he already had and kept his mind to his mission.

“No. I’m actually looking for someone.” As he was speaking his hand slipped from behind him to on the table with the picture of his client on it. He slid it along the desk to show the two. “Has he checked in yet?” The higher voiced man spoke first.

“Ahhh yes, Mr. Inoki. One of our favorites.” Following this the lower voiced man spoke.

“He checked in just fifteen minutes or so ago. Room 335.”

“Thank you.” The Uchiha bowed his head slightly before taking off to his destination, mindfully leaving the picture on the desk for the two to deal with as it was of no use to him any longer. A set of stairs on the right side of the inn lead to room 335. The numbers are golden at eye level on the door of the room. Zieg knocked two times and waited patiently. Some rustling could be heard from the other side of the white door. Zieg’s sharp ears hearing slight murmurs from the man’s mouth, low and gravely. Swiftly and suddenly the door opened slightly, being stopped by the inch and a half long chain that connected it to the wall. A balding head comes from behind the door, a pair of sunglasses looking out and inspecting the small Uchiha.

“Are you it?” he said hastily. His speech had a drawl to it that indicated he was from somewhere far from where Zieg himself was. The accent was heavy and clearly audible. The shinobi merely raised an eyebrow slightly and tilted his head to the side. The man examined Zieg for a bit longer before swiftly shutting the door and unhooking the chain lock to fully open the door. The man stood only an inch or so taller than Zieg himself. He was dressed in a tan color faded suit that looked like it had been around for a while. He placed his hands on his hips, once again scanning Zieg and looking him up and down. “So you’re who Kizmaru sent me? Thought I would get someone bigger. Eh you can probably handle yourself. Listen. It's simple, alright. Imma be in my room. All day. All night. If they ain't freakin room service then dont let em in. As a matter of fact, pat the room service down too while you’re out here.” While he was giving his list of demands Zieg happened to notice three young girls all dressed in boudoir esc bee outfits ran into Mr. Inoki’s room, giggling and whispering as they did. He looked back and smiled before looking back to Zieg and grinning a large cheesy smile. “Ok, NOW don't let anyone in if they arent room service. Like I said. ALL day. ALL night. Ciao!” And without letting Zieg even speak or say anything he took back to his chamber, where as he stated he would remain all day and night. Zieg sighed and leaned his back on the wall next to the door. Hopefully it would be all he was doing the whole time but he could honestly doubt it. He could logically see how someone might have gotten to a point where they might wanna inflict some bodily harm on a man such as Mr. Inoki. Hopefully none of those people would find themselves informed enough to know of his client’s location, and motivated enough to act on the information. His eyes scanned the floor to the left and then to the right. “Hmm.,” he hummed to himself slowly as he noted the details of the walkway that allowed access to the rooms. A stairwell leading up from both sides. He had a clear vision on both so no one would be sneaking up that way. If anyone would have an opportunity it would be if they somehow went through the ceiling up through Mr. Inoki’s floor and be in the room without needing to get past the bodyguard. An option Zieg considered. He would have felt better being in the room with Mr. Inoki but from what he could make of his client’s instructions the bodyguard would not be included in whatever events would be partaking on the inside of the inn room. With nothing more to do he simply mused himself with his thoughts and waited.

Time passed both swiftly and slowly at the same time for the silent and stoic shinobi. The day went on just as normally as any straight into the evening, and then the late night. Most of the guests retired to their rooms at various times, while some others still lingered about the main lobby, chattering the night away. It would be around this time that normal ceased to be in the Honey Dew Inn.

As the sounds of the world seemed to become an almost nonexistent dull hum in the background of reality. Slowly forming from visibly absolutely nowhere an incredibly thick mist started to form. Zieg’s body started to tense as he began to lose vision of the lobby level below him and then eventually all his vision from the mist. It became apparent very quickly exactly what was going on. Someone was here for Mr. Inoki. Just as he thought this he heard yelling coming from the inside of Mr. Inoki’s room, followed by some thrashing. “I CAN'T SEE A DAMN THING! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? NINJA!!!!” Zieg’s eyes closed in annoyance for a slight moment before he returned himself to the situation at hand.

He hadn’t even learned my name…

“Is everything alright inside, Mr. Inoki? Are you hurt?” He yelled through the door. He thought to break in immediately but if whoever was after his client was intending on coming through the front door with this distraction tactic then it would be better if none of the locks were broken and his client could stay in a single location. Taking action he decided to try and sense out any particularly strong chakra sources anywhere around. This mist was the cause of a jutsu being used and thus the user had to be somewhere nearby. And surely the culprit was. A bigger chakra was coming from somewhere. Great. It was time to get to work. Zieg’s honey golden orbs transformed into their blood red state, indicating his readiness for combat. His eyes offered him the ability to see the chakra signatures of all within the inn through the mist, granted they weren't in a room or hidden in some other fashion. Just as his eyes gave him the sight to see within the veil, the creator would storm through the front entrance, breaking through the glass and speeding in, immediately dashing towards one of the confused and panicked guest. Before the patron could even make sense of the shattering glass he heard just a few feet from him his world would turn black as a chop to the neck sent him into unconsciousness. This act would follow with every person on the floor.

Zieg watched from above, the chakra blazing like lightning through the inn making short work of the entire bottom floor of stragglers. He was clearly here for a specific target. What's more is he seemed to be able to see or navigate through the mist. Of course it would be silly he would be hindered by his own jutsu but as to how exactly he was doing it was the real question. Either way there was no time to ponder on his curiosities. Awaiting a moment to make his move he calculated exactly when the moving chakra signature would be directly below him again to jump from over the balcony of the third floor of the inn and landed on the culprit, attempting to pin him to the ground and hold him for questioning. He did accomplish landing on the assassin and getting him to the ground but the culprit’s reaction and strength was impressive. Somehow using the momentum from the fall he was able to bounce back up, springing Zieg off of his body in the process. Zieg recovered with a roll and the two came to their feet at the same time looking at each other. Well as far as Zieg knew the man was looking at him. All he could see was the chakra flowing in a humanoid shape.

“I take it you’re here for Mr. Inoki, assassin?” the Uchiha bellowed out. The voice responded loudly.

“You, nor anything will stop me from having my revenge! That evil man will pay for his crimes!” The signature charged Zieg, looking to inflict a swift and decisive blow to his temple to take him out. Zieg’s eyes and training granted him an almost clairvoyant foresight into his opponent’s movements and was able to evade and counter properly. This exchange happened for another two or three bouts before the assailant differentiated his manner of attack. The two warriors were both not looking to kill the other, as that was not their mission for the night. And they both intended to do only their jobs and nothing more. The assailant flashed a swift set of hand seals, seals Zieg could not identify due to the nature of their battlegrounds being obscured, he would immediately become aware of what was happening when more identical chakra signals appeared from nowhere, just as the mist did. Clones he thought to himself and smiled. Oh how he loved to use clones and trickery himself in combat. However this ninja only seemed to see them as a higher number to add to his overall power, rather than pieces on a shogi board to be manipulated and used. Zieg fended off all the punches and strikes as best he could, even taking a couple blows but they would not be nearly enough to take him down. Slipping his own hand seal into his defensive parries and evasions he created clones of his own to even the playing field. Shadow clones to be precise.

The battle continued on for roughly an hour, Zieg slowly breaking the enemy shinobi down with each passing minute. The assailant eventually had throw everything he had at the Uchiha, with nothing being effective in stopping Zieg from preventing his revenge. As he grew more and more demoralized and even considered running away with his assassination attempt being a failure, the Kirigakure shinobi almost sensed this and went in for a finishing blow, aiming to knock the assassin unconscious, which he did successfully after a intricate combination attack from his clones. As the man lost his view of the world, this very view would return to Zieg and everyone in the area of the mist jutsu used to blind them all. Zieg sat atop the unconscious body, taking in a heavy breath before letting all the tension wash over and off of his body. With the died down chaos becoming apparent to the client, Mr. Inoki opened his door far enough for the chain to allow and yelled out into the inn. “IS ANYBODY ALIVE? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?” The women within his room mimicked his cries and questioning right after him, wondering if they could finally stop fearing for their lives. “:Nothing to worry about. You can return to bed. I’ll have this guy wrapped up and taken care of for the night. He tried to kill you. Now he will be locked away in our cells with the rest of the criminals.

Eventually morning came. The knocked out guests awoke, finding themselves confused and in a stupor from their extraordinary stay at the Honey Dew Inn. Both staff and customers were in a huff about the random noise and mist from the night before, chattering and conversing loudly as they did. Zieg had his culprit tied up in ropes from neck down to the waist. His eyes were covered his a makeshift headband and all his weapons he entered with were discarded. He prepared to head back to the village with the criminal where he was sure to be put behind bars for a very long time. Mr. Inoki was safe but he sure did not seem too pleased with the stay and experience this time around at the inn, despite getting to keep his life. It would not be long enough ever before Zieg would feel good about working for him again.

He knew this wasn’t going to be just a normal night.
