Mission Details

Don't Dare:

Blood in the dark forest, blood moon and a bloody cry. Nights are for rest and are  meant to be peaceful. Well, many villagers have rested eternally and have been called into abyss by an unknown creature. Creature ? . No one could tell what this human killer was, whether it was a rogue summon or a missing ninja, nobody could tell. So many villagers have suddenly gone missing and people are starting to see this as a strange thing . It was  indeed a strange thing to have people killed on the road to hoshi by an unknown monster. whatever or whoever this monster was , death is the surest cure to its madness. The villagers don't want this shit happening anymore. Two genins have been selected for this mission, Sakuragi and Somashin. The Hyuuga would be prepared for the D-night that have been chosen  to kill the rampaging monster. Team work would be great for this mission. it was almost evening, but the hyuuga would not wait  till the stars appeared in the sky before he would meet with his partner for the mission. He would be dressed in his black turtle neck cloak, black pant and black shinobi sandals. He had no bandages or headband on this time. This is a dangerous mission and it must be carried out with all seriousness. The hyuuga would be ready for the night, though it was not yet night. He would head out to meet his partner. The Whitehead made sure that all his equipments and ninja tools were intact in his weapon pouch, he sure would be needing them.




Sakuragi would finally reach the meeting point, they were to meet here to decide how the track and hunt down this monster. He would sit on a huge rock at the entrance of of large forest. He would patiently wait for his teammate who would help him in this mission. The crystal guy had helped him once in a mission to keep a wealthy business man save. This would be their second mission together and the hyuuga saw this as another opportunity to know him better and for the greenhead to know him better too. Time flies and hopefully the Greenhead would arrive here shortly.

Soma Shin woke up that morning for his mission. He knew it was going to be a tougher mission then usual but he was excited to be asked by Sakuragi to join in on this mission. He picks his lunch and gets himself ready for the days this mission may take. He was going to meet with him a little later on today. He decided that he would definitely bring his head band today. He knew that they were going to be hunting for something that had been killing people on the roads into Hoshigakure. They would be roaming through the Forest tracking whatever it was. He wanted to make sure he had enough for a few days because he was not sure how long it was going to take. He would meet up with Sakuragi at their usual meeting spot.

He leaves his house saying bye to his grandfather. Who wished him the best of luck. He walked down the square and finally made it to the meeting spot. “Hey Sakuragi, how is it going? You read through the mission details? What do you think the best plan of action is?” He asks this because this is the first mission like this he has ever gone on. So he wanted a shinobi with more experience to give him an idea on what to do.

It was not an easy task taking on a mission like this. First they would have to wait till midnight before they would even know what they would be fighting. Rumours has it that the unknown creature often attacks people in the evening and at night. This mission requires so much energy and dedication than the rest of the mission Sakuragi had ever  done before. Every mission he had taken would give  him at least some details about who or what is expected to be faced, this mission was however  different. Neither Sakuragi nor Somashin could tell what they were gonna face. All they know is that whoever  or whatever is mercilessly killing people like this is a blood thirsty demon.  The two genins must work hand in hand if they wants to survive to this mission. There was no telling or certainty at what time the unknown creature would show up and where or when its would, but thanks to the byakugan , the Whitehead genin can keep watch on that. The two genins would be walking towards the location  where blood and flesh of humans have been reportedly seen, littered across the area. Definitely, the creature must have attacked here at some point in time. Looking at the prints that appeared on the ground, It's hard to tell what  this demon really is. The print was quite large, the sand on the field coloured in red, mixed with the blood the unfortunate souls that were devoured by this demon. The mission details stated there are three possibilities in this mission and from the large print that appeared on the ground, it's either a mountain sized animal or a rogue summon. Of course a summon is an animal, but summons at times aren't just animals. They could be  demons and this is one demon that the genins must deal with. Sakuragi had a bit of fear while taking on this mission. He didn't know what to face and this was prolly the first time he would take on a mission with uncertain possibilities. Not that Sakuragi could  foresee what happens in the missions he takes on , but most of the mission he had taken, he was able to predict at least a small part of it.  This was  a rather different mission, one that requires Sakuragi and Soma to be very keen with every action they would take. 


Sakuragi would break the silence in the air as he walked with Soma . “Soma , have you ever been in a life and death situation? ”  he would ask the greeneyed in a low tone. The question was birthed from Sakuragi's anxiety for this mission. He wasn't sure what Soma's response would be neither could he guessed it. As for the white head hyuuga, he had never been in a life and death situation. He had never really gone through much difficulties in life, at least for now. Trials and difficulties of life puts one in a life and death situation most of the time. Those genins who goes on cats catching and rodents chasing mission can never know difficulties. Difficulties are known by those who take on deadly missions, missions that puts their  lives at risks. His father did take on  those kind of missions and was killed and that death has caused the young hyuuga a lot of pain. The same death that made him never to see his mother . The hyuuga would expect some response from the the greenhead shinobi.  He was curious to know if the boy had ever gotten into a fight or into a situation that puts his life in jeopardy.  If Soma would proceed to answer the question, the hyuuga would not stop at that. He would proceed to asking more questions, at least as much he can ask before they reached their destination.  “ I know your clan has a very interesting advanced element, which is crystal release. but could you  please Tell me more about the Misaki Clan and the crystal release ? I didn't even know there was a clan uses crystal release in hoshi until I met you. So  If you don't mind , I would like  to know more about the clan and the advanced element “  the words of the hyuuga doesn't have much power in it. He wasn't trying to control the misaki boy to give him all the details about his clan, he was just a curious kid who is always ready to learn.  The misaki was another clan that caught his attention. Their deadly crystal release ninjutsu and its high capability was  what really made him interested in the clan. As an hyuuga who was  specialized in the art of gentle fist taijutsu, he couldn't use ninjutsu, so he wasn't even thinking of acquiring the advanced element , crystal release. He was just interested in the clan as a whole. The whitehead would speak persuasively, not trying to control  the greenhead in anyway to give him the information  he needed since he himself  does not like being controlled. It's all good if the green eyed would choose  or choose not to answer his question.  Learning about a ninjutsu related element could be fun and intriguing, especially of the Crystal release. Perhaps sooner or later, the hyuuga may come to learn ninjutsu some day. Though he really doubted he would come to learn ninjutsu since he has always viewed the gentle fist style to be stronger than any kind of ninjutsu.  Despite his perspective, he believed nothing is impossible. 


The two genins finally arrive at the road that leads out of hoshi into the country border . This must be the road. There were thick and deep  forest on both side of the road so  it look like an alley. The hyuuga and hopefully somashin, if he was still following would stay at the road. The hyuuga had his byakugan activated so he was quite aware of his surroundings. It was getting darker , the white head would sit under a  nearby tree keeping watch of the surrounding , he would be  ready to react to the slightest  movement from the forest and from the surrounding. Other people were still walking through the roads , the numbers decreasing as the sky gets darker. Sakuragi and Somashin, if he chooses to, would constantly survey the area making sure to note every detail in the environment. The hyuuga would sudden notice movement with byakugan, first it stealthy then seconds later , the forest starting rumbling as the huge animal moved, it was a giant snake, a rogue summon several meter long and wide. This must have been the rogue summon killing the people that walked the road of hoshi. The summon raced out of the forest trying to devour the few bypasser walking down the road, the white head hyuuga would jump in it way and using the eight trigrams revolving heaven jutsu. Despite the snake's size , it would be repelled by the jutsu used  by the hyuuga. The hyuuga was almost stunned at the sight of how large the snake was . A very huge summon indeed , a monstrous demon. Hopefully, Somashin would be able to help in this fight too. Already the bypassing would run away at the sight of the monstrous snake. The hyuuga had successfully repelled the snake and hopefully dealt some minor damage to it while the Crystal guy would assist too. The hyuuga would dash at the huge snake hoping for an assist from the Misaki guy. The only cure to this madness would be death. No capturing, no Intel gathering, that was the kind of mission the hyuuga enjoys doing. As the Whitehead charged , the furious snake would charge also at him. Sakuragi already knew what to do, he needed the snake to get closer enough so he could use his vacuum wall palm tech. The whitehead believes the closer the snake gets to him while he  used the technique , the more damage that would be dealt to the rogue summon. Just when the snake would reach five meters away from the whitehead, the young hyuuga would thrust both of his palm forward to release a huge blast of chakra to knock the snake some meters backwards. Hopefully, the Misaki would also deliver to the snake if he chooses to. The hyuuga wouldn't stop his attack. For a huge summon of this size, they would need multiple attacks to defeat the snake. Vaccum palm, storm senbon... he would used nearly all the techniques he knew to defeat the snake. The boy would eventually use his gentle fist  one body blow technique which will immediately kill the snake.  The wave of the jutsu would send the summon flying off the ground and landing roughly on the ground. The hyuuga would make sure the snake was dead. Their mission was to kill the summon and they just did. The hyuuga would be panting heavily after using so much energy to fight off the beast. It was no easy task but the spiky head was glad that the the monstrous beast had been dealt with. All that is needed to be done would be to report to the higher authority of their success in the mission. Somashin himself would be worn out if he really got involved the fighting. Fighting a summon of that size was top tier and the hyuuga would begin to think they deserve  accolades.  Finally, the road can be peaceful again. The sky above this field will know no violence nor see the blood of the innocent being wasted. It will hear no laughter of the wicked nor cry of the feeble. Things would be back to normal again. The huge body of the summon was laid on the road and the hyuuga would completely burn its body with his fire jutsu. Their mission was a success and if Somashin choose to, the two genins would walk back home.

Soma shin went up to Sakuragi who looked over at him as he walked up. Soma Shin said “Sorry I am late,” he was bowing respectfully and then continued “You asked me to meet you here for a mission. Do you have more details? What are we going to be doing? I know you said it was of great importance that this mission gets done. What is the goal of our mission?” sakuragi answers all his questions in a cold manner and says something about something out there killing people on the road into Hoshigakure Village. There were a few possibilities. It could be a beast of some sort, maybe a summon or worse case scenario is that it is a missing nin. Whatever it is we had to take care of it and dispose of whatever it could be.

They heard that it attacks mostly in the evening and at night. So they decide to go to the forest and wait till nightfall. After a moment of silence Sakuragi asks “Soma , have you ever been in a life and death situation? ”. Soma Shin thought about it and realized that no he had not. He was raised in a more sheltered lifestyle where everything was according to custom and in his family manor. He said nervously “No not really. This is the first time where my life is in a lot of danger. My grandfather and father were usually with me during most of my life when I went exploring. Both of them are well versed in the shinobi ways and would protect me. They are usually around and help me out. Do you think it is going to get that bad?” Sakuragi shakes his head up and down saying I think it is going to be worse without words but with just the look on his face. He continues “Our mission protecting that businessman was the first real fight I had been in and you were there so I was not too worried but from that look on your face that is going to be a cake walk compared to this one.” This look on the other shinobi’s face really made Soma Shin very nervous. He had not seen Sakuragi look like this. To fill the more of the time traveling into the forest Sakuragi asks about crystal jutsu and the misaki clan. He gives a brief history saying “We were founded by a shinobi named Guren who spent her later life trying to help this religious place and make up for her life before she decided to change. Our crystal is strong like our will and yet Versatile. I am going to specialize like my grandfather in medical jutsu also but we are a very defensive technique based. But the crystal is more reflective than any mirror known. It can even confuse those special eyes of yours. That is what the legends say at least. We try to help out where we can and here is a funny fact the misaki have replaced most tools with crystal ones down to even things like forks and spoons. I try not to use metal very often. I do not think it is as reliable as the crystal counterparts. That is a brief explanation about our clan. You know, I do not want to give away all our secrets.” He thought about if he should continue this is the sacred techniques of his clan. He did not want to give too much away and risk getting in trouble with his clan. The clan has always be a bit more secluded and isolated. They were always worried about offending others because of our questionable history and who we were technically refounded by. Her history was definitely questionable at best if not just down right evil till she saw the light and chose a different path. Soma Shin was not sure how well versed Sakuragi was in the history of the world.

They arrive near the border where there have been a lot of attacks lately when they arrive before they set up to wait for the right time they do an investigation. As it got darker soma Shin was even more on edge then normal waiting for something to happen. People were still using the road but it had slowed down because it was getting dark. Soma Shin would say “you all be careful out there and shout if you see anything unusual.” Soma Shin noticed Sakuragi’s face getting a lot more serious. Soma Shin knew what this meant that there was something coming out towards us and to be ready. He was getting ready when he finally saw it. It was a massive snake and soma shin’s best guess was it was a rogue summon. He was not sure if it was a rogue or an attack by a missing ninja but that would be a problem to deal with after defeating this monster. This snake was easily 10 yards tall and who knows how long. It was truly the most frightening thing Soma Shin has seen. Soma Shin panicked for a minute and froze but he realized that he had to be strong and suck it up. Not only to help Sakuragi but also to prove himself as a shinobi and to his clan. He wants to be taken seriously as a shinobi. He does not want to let any of his clan members down especially his grandfather. It came speeding towards two small groups of villagers. Sakuragi went and saved one so he guessed the other couple was his to save. He jumps in front of them, makes hand signs and a large chunk of earth moves up and Soma Shin quickly moves the couple to saying “Run on and get out of here.” The snake's tail absolutely destroys the earth that he had moved and Soma Shin realized he is going to have to pull out all the stops in order to help at all. He tries another and slams his hand the ground and rock pellets hit the snake in the head but left little more than a scratch. He starts to panic and is not sure what to do. He sees sakuragi punching and kicking and moving quickly. Soma Shin thinks that he is crazy for going up to punch a snake the size of a large building. But it seems to be working Soma Shin just learned a more powerful technique but has never used it outside of training especially not in a combat situation. Should he try it he was not sure but he has to do something. He can let Sakuragi do all the work. The way Sakuragi moved made it clear the only solution to this fight would be to kill the snake. He decided to try his new technique. He focuses on his chakra and pulls up a load of chakra and makes the handsigns Ram-Horse-Seal of Confrontation. All of a sudden out of the mud on the path a dragon shape formed with an open mouth at least 5 meters wide. Soma Shin aims for the head and especially the eyes. The first mud ball which looks like a fireball made out of mud hits the creature's neck and does some significant damage. The next two hit close to the head while the forth hit its target right in the left eye. This had to cause blindness in the creature. Soma Shin yells “I think I blinded his left eye I am going to try for the right eye now!” He was not sure if Sakuragi could hear him but he hoped he could. The fifth mud ball hits his right eye. He almost missed though it just got his eye and mostly the temple area behind the eye. But it should have been enough to blind the creature. The creature should be completely blinded and hurt significantly. Sakuragi still punched away and did significant damage. It was a shock to Soma Shin that his punches were doing that much damage. Eventually after a few more techniques using more rock bullet techniques. One of Sakuragi’s techniques sends the snake into the air and as it lands Soma Shin decides to use a different technique. Soma Shin uses a technique and makes hand signs and the earth shatters beneath the creature which distracts the snake enough for Sakuragi to use a special technique. This technique Soma Shin used kept the snake down and made it difficult to move and get up again. Soma shin thought this would be very useful. Sakuragi had his technique prepared and was going to use it. Soma Shin had not seen this technique before. He punches the snake but the reverberation of the chakra and the technique spread for a large area. This punch obviously had a lot of power and skill in it. From what Soma Shin could tell it killed the snake almost immediately. Sakuragi goes up and makes sure that the snake is dead. Soma Shin does the same and once they have confirmed that the snake is dead. They both basically collapse from exhaustion but they are awake and talking. “See Sakuragi nothing to worry about” he says as he is panting very hard “that was no problem right we are all good. You hurt at all I can heal you up if you need it. We should head back to the village and let them know what it was and that it has been dealt with. I do not know about you but I am exhausted and may take a few days off.” Sakuragi just gets up and shakes his hand and helps Soma Shin up and they head back towards town. You could tell by the way that they walked that these two shinobi were exhausted and very tired but they were alive and kicking. Soma Shin was still coming down from the adrenaline rush from the combat and was trying to keep it together. He managed to keep it together all the way to his manor.

He got home and passed out for the evening and slept most of the day away. He talked to his grandfather a little and talked about the mission. Soma Shin was happy he could help the village and that the roads would be safe again. He was always happy to be of service to the village of Hoshigakure. He was going to take a few days off though. He wanted to go to town and maybe meet some new shinobi. He knew he needed to get out there more. He would stay home and relax for today.
