With a dense cloud of smoke already circling the air around him Wan would exhale more of it from his mouth after taking a pull of his blunt, coughing slightly to clear lungs as he looked around the marketplace he sat in. Or at least he considered it as such, definitely an area where people could come and buy goods from all types of regions, whether it be local or foreign. He had been sitting there for a few hours now, taking time to enjoy the scenery while he ate, talking to a few of the locals here and there. He didn't have much to do that day there wasn't much for him to do the entirety of his visit to Sunagakure. He and Fu had one reason to be there, which was to meet with the Kazekage to learn more about transplants and the medical field. Other than that they didn't have a true goal of being in the village, let alone Wind Itself. So taking the time to enjoy it's beauty while they could be quite necessary, since who knew when the two of them would return here once they embarked out.
There was so much potential in the air, much of which would go completely unnoticed if not within the walls of the village. Sunagakure was a land of opportunities, a place where criminals and missing ninja were treated as the human beings they are, not just people constantly on the run from the law. Many signed up to join the Shinobi Forces here, Wan himself having the thought of doing as such during his first arrival here. Not saying it would be the wrong decision now, but he felt as if he could evoke the energy and skill needed towards a separate goal, one that would cast a shadow big enough to envelop a country of his own with its state of power and knowledge. He began to ask around to see the current motives of the natives, learning of some of the things they loved and might have hated about Wind Country and Sunagakure, learning of what drove them to a state of mind capable of maintaining such a beautiful place. He didn't get the chance to talk to anyone of high-rank, the majority of his conversations just being with civilians who have lived there for years, but he was happy to get the interactions he sought. On his way back to the Inn he stayed with he relapsed on some of the knowledge he obtained, a few names of some well-known shinobi in Sunagakure being gifted to him as well as a few spots that might serve as a greater hub for establishing connections. He returned to the Desert Rose unscathed and tired, taking to his bed as he slept the night away, ready for whatever adventure boots him tomorrow.

"So you mean to tell me this shit is made of Senju Wood?"
A curious question from Wan to a vendor who was visiting from far away. He had been in the bazaar of Sunagakure for quite a while now. Having his breakfast at the inn before heading into the village he came with the intent to gain better insight on how most people in Sunagakure operated, many of which were only missing ninja seeking refuge within the city. He was cloaked in his all-black attire, while sitting at a bar he rubbed his chin as he came across a rather interesting character. One of which claimed to be a Sarutobi, elderly tradesmen from Konohagakure who served time in the war against Sunagakure. "Listen, kid. Keep your voice down. Things like this aren't especially 'welcomed' regardless of civil status." He was selling weapons of all natures, most of which were taken as spoils from the war. He did, however, have a particular piece that was passed down from his grandfather, a Sage from the Hidden Leaf from many years before. It was a weapon passed down the generational line of Senju who pursued the path of enlightenment. Many of which died fighting to keep the leaf safe, those who 'ran' were those considered deserters of their clan. Konohagakure plummeted rapidly during its subjugation and is still serving as a vessel to Kirigakure. This artifact he had in his possession was dubbed the 'Oathkeeper', a beautiful monkey-stick the man showed to the Senju, his eyes widening at the sheer beauty of such a masterpiece.
Wan leaned slightly back in the stool he sat, making sure to not lean too far and fall off the chair but wanting to take a more distant look at the weapon. "And just how did you get this again?" he would ask, wanting to know a more thorough meaning to the weapon from the vendor. The guy leaned up on the table, reaching over and placing the beautiful artifact along the length of the bar table before reaching over to a cigar. Taking a step back he reached in his pocket and lit the cigar, taking multiple drags from it to ensure it's flame before exhaling a puff of smoke. He walked back over to the bar and offered Wan the cigar, the Senju shaking his head 'No' as he kept his gaze on Oathkeeper, feeling it's chakra out immediately as the weapon itself seemed to feel his back. He could feel the tug in the air of nature energy colliding with natural yin-yang, the Senju Wood having a direct correlation with his chakra network naturally. Wan looked up at the man, taking a glance at the cigar before shifting his eyes to those of the vendor. "You ever had weed, my friend? It's much better for you than tobacco." He would then shift his gaze back to Oathkeeper, his eyes sparkling with intrigue as they reflected off the polished wood. "This right here is almost as if it's a part of me." Taking his right hand he would place it to the left of the weapon, slowly moving its entire length before gripping it in the middle.
He stood up with Oathkeeper, taking a step back from the Bar as he cleared a good distance between himself and anything, opening up some space so that he could play around with the weapon for a little. "Do you mind if I dance?" he would ask, placing one end of Oathkeeper on the ground with an inverted grip towards the top. The old man would look with a raised brow, at first clueless of what the Senju was asking. "Knock yourself out, kid." he'd say, not even knowing the true status of the 'boy' as Hokage. Kicking with momentum from his foot, he would turn Oathkeeper and catch it horizontally with both hands, turning the pole quickly on his left side while shifting his body position more forward. He would turn Oathkeeper forward and strike the air, taking a well known 'horse-stance' that was common in all forms of Taijutsu. He would take one step forward to his left, and then strike upwards with the opposing end of Oathkeeper, then strike again with the other end. Steady but fast he would turn Oathkeeper over and jump, striking the ground to cause a small bit of the dirt to fly up into the air, letting out a quick gust of air from his mouth as he caught a second breather.
He then practiced blocking with its mid-section, pulling Oathkeeper towards his hip then kicking forward and landing. He also practiced striking with the weapon horizontally and overhead, rotating it above his head and striking into the air a few times as he began to get the feel of the weapon. "This is extremely light, yet the material is so durable. Senju Wood...is this the only good thing to come out of Konohagakure other than Fu?" he thought to himself for only seconds as he continued to practice with the weapon, the vendor paying all attention to the young Lord as he began to cheer him on, surprised of the skillset displayed in such simple acts of practicing. After a few more moments of practice, he rested with Oathkeeper, noticing that it didn't have any form of making it easy to carry. He practiced moving some of his chakras into the stick, wondering how would the wood properties of it mix with his. A sudden idea hit him to just put it on his back when suddenly he could feel spall grooves of Wood begin to attach through his clothes, tethering the Oathkeeper to him naturally as it connected to Organic matter. "What would you want for this, sir? I'm not going to leave without it." The Senju was determined to claim this weapon as his no matter the circumstances, but then he noticed the old man laughing at him before wheezing up smoke. "I wasn't gonna let you leave here without taking it, bud. I can tell you've got some kind of attunement to the thing. Hell, ya sound like a Sage, or something, hell an Avatar."
Wan smiled after receiving such a wonderful gift, bowing to the vendor while thanking him as he gathered the rest of his belongings from the area. He tossed the hood back over his head, making his leave from the marketplace at last. He would return to the inn he currently resided in, taking in for the night as he reflects upon the day he had, looking forward to establishing more connections within the city before he took his formal leave.
