Maintenance

Maintenance:

"Another day another mission" Kato thought to himself as he prepared himself for the day. "I wonder what will be on offer today, hopefully something interesting!" He made is way to the mission board ensuring he'd brought with his all his basic ninja equipment. You never know what you might need after all. 

It was a muggy day and the mist in the village was a bit thicker than usual. "Not a very pleasant one today, I think I'll go for something nice and easy" Kato thought to himself as he approached the mission board. Kato poured his eyes over the selections looking for something to jump out to him.. there it was! The bank was looking for shinobi to help out with some maintenance work, basic stuff really, Kato knew this would be the easy mission he hoped for.

The mission scroll requested help specifically with closing up the bank so Kato did not hurry to get there, instead he took a leisurely walk picking up a few pieces of fruit to snack on along the way. He arrived in the afternoon and presented the bank manager with the scroll. Pleased with his punctuality the bank manager quickly filled Kato in with the type of jobs he was being hired to do. Walk the perimeter; help lock up; clean rooms that needed it; help count up (if they were particularly short of hands). Easy mission indeed. Kato thanked the bank manager for the information and began to walk the perimeter. There was still a few hours until the bank closed and the weather hadn't improved, this made walking the perimeter quite the uncomfortable task. " I hate how uncomfortable this kimono can be when its especially humid, if only I was wearing one of my nice floaty shirts right now" He thought to himself as he completed another lap of the bank. 

Kato's thoughts drifted to what he was gonna spend the ryo from this job on as he positioned himself in the room where the most business was done at the bank. Leaning against a wall near the rooms entrance he began to write himself a mental shopping list as he watched the people come and go, keeping a close eye out for any strange or suspect behaviour. Thankfully there was no trouble today, but Kato thought it would of been fun to throw someone out if they'd done something to deserve it, maybe next time he thought to himself as he escorted the last customer out the bank. After locking the front doors Kato walked a quick perimeter of the bank, all clear, nothing suspect, sweet. He then entered through the banks back door and began checking rooms as he made his way towards the bank vault. "They are an organised and tidy bunch in this bank" Kato thought to himself as he entered the large room that contained the vault. He'd only had to do very minor bits of cleaning in only a handful of the rooms he checked, and he'd checked almost every room in the bank.

The bank manager met Kato at the vault room and informed him that all the work for the day had been done, thanked him for his work and told him he could go home. Kato grinned, looking forward to acquiring the items on his mental shopping list.
