Kita and the others were discussing the potential survival rate when the Jounin in charge of debriefing came to discuss their mission. He was a green skinned Hoshigaki, if Kita was correct. He had never heard of a green one, but with his other squad mate's hood down, revealing his purple hair, Kita supposed that it was entirely possible that green skinned Hoshigaki could be a thing. Kita twiddled his thumbs silently as Murata went through the mission report with the man, describing the harrowing ordeal that the group and the survivors had gone through. The man nodded along with a dull and lazy pace, writing down what he heard onto a clipboard. Kita answered with a robotic monotone when it came to his chance to speak, and the man jotted it down just as lazily as he had with the other. Before long, he was finished with the debriefing. "Well, that should be all of it for today. You did a great job bringing in the survivors. You'll find your payments in the same location that you can find your missions at. Bye everyone, great job." The man turned around to leave, and something in Kita welled up. "Hey, wait up a second!" The man turned around at Kita, his eyebrow raised in a puzzled glance. "There was a kid that we brought in, and he was getting a really bad case of hypothermia. It didn't look like he was going to make it, and we wanted to know how he was doing. Do you know if he's alright?"
Kita followed along behind the ninja with the clipboard as he walked through the field hospital, making his way towards the child's room as he explained his condition. "Honestly we weren't sure if we were going to make it. When he came in, his fingers and toes had turned black, and his body temperature had dropped extremely low. His survival chances were slim to none. Thankfully however, we had some talented medical ninja on hand, and they were able to save the child's life. We were even able to salvage his fingers and toes, so there was no need for amputation." He brought Kita to the bedside of the child in question. Kasumi had chosen to follow along with Kita as well, and he was glad for her company. The kid was covered in several warm blankets, and hooked up to both an IV drip and a heart monitor, that slowly beeped to match the kid's heart rate. For a moment, Kita was sure that despite the monitor, the child was dead. However, these thoughts quickly dissipated when he saw the slight rise and fall of the kid's chest. He was alive.
A shudder of relief flowed through Kita as he looked at the near motionless body of the kid. He had been the last to attempt to save the child, and if he had died, Kita might have blamed himself. The Jounin nodded at Kita and Kasumi. "You two and your squad did good work. If it hadn't been for all of you, this kid would've been dead. Thanks to you though, he's going to be alright. We've already informed his parents that he's alright, and they'll come by later today to visit him." The man turned around to leave. "Get some rest you two. You've earned it."
