Fri Dec 04, 2020 9:04 pm
Mission Name: Defend the Bath house
Rank: B-rank
Type: Protection
Character Requirements: Genin
Mission Location: A Bath house
Word Count Requirements: 3000
Challenges: None
Repeatable? No
NPC? None
Reward: 3000 ryo, 7AP
Task: A popular bathhouse has come under many threats due to inter-family quarrels. The owner suspects that his brother is plotting to assassinate him to inherit the business and has hired you to stave off any attacks. At some point over the course of the next few days the brother’s hired hand will attack and attempt to kill the owner.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heading out of her home located in the Sarutobi District, the young shinobi could be found making her way towards the Hokage Residence in relation to something unbeknownst to her. The only thing that Blaisa knew was that it was important, and somewhat urgent. Last night, she had received a letter via pigeon that had dropped the piece of parchment paper off to her in the middle of the night. Taking a moment to reminisce on this fact, the situation provided her with a sensation of anxiety and curiosity, as she had no idea who someone as renowned as the Hokage would want to have anything to do with her. ‘I’m just a normal, low-tier Genin…’, she began to think to herself in silence while walking down the main pathway, ‘What could someone like Lord Hokage want with someone like me?’.
Approaching to the front of the Hokage Residence, Blaisa scaled the building up and down, being taken away by how massive the residence was. It was the first time that she had gotten this close to the legendary structure, breathtakingly being at a loss of words. Approaching the entrance to get inside the building, she was greeted by two Konoha Anbu members as the one on the left held his hand out, indicating for her to pause and to not continue any further. The two of them began to slightly creep out Blaisa, as neither one of the shinobi said a single word.
As the left Anbu member held his arm out, the one on the right began to mysteriously form the rat hand seal. Blaisa sat there paused, taking a moment of silence as she was completely unaware of what the two Leaf shinobi were doing. A few moments pass before the right Anbu member released the hand seal and nodded in confirmation towards the left Anbu member. The left Anbu member then raised his arm back down to his side, as both shinobi then implied to Blaisa that she was free to enter. ‘Weird….’, she began to think to herself as she made her way into the building.
Traversing through the great interior halls of the Hokage Residence, Blaisa had finally made her way towards the door that she was instructed to go to. Past the doorway would be where the current Hokage would be sitting, most likely patiently waiting for her arrival. The young Sarutobi gulped in anxiety and fear before knocking on the tall, oak door three times. “H-hello?”, she would mutter in a stuttered fashion.
“Come in.”, a mysterious voice would emit in a strong, sturdy tone.
Taking a few seconds before opening the door, Blaisa took a deep breath before twisting the handle and making her way into the Hokage’s Office. Upon arrival, Blaisa stared at the Hokage in a blank, terrified expression. Analyzing the man from head to toe, she could not believe that she was finally getting around to meet the man who would lead Konohagakure back to its former glory. Unsure of what to do, Blaisa immediately bowed her head in respect towards the current Hokage, refusing to raise her head until her famed leader instructed her to.
“B-Blaisa Sarutobi, reporting – sir!”, she would exclaim with a nervous, but unshaken tone.

Re: A Leaf in the Wind (P | Wan)

"You're such a fucking liar." Kamari would mutter underneath her breath, a small smirk shining upon her face that contradicted the words she had just stated. She had been within the office of the Hokage since morning, plundering through the belongings of Wan as she felt she had every right to, especially since they were so close. Although to Wan she was no more than creation with a set cause to Kamari she was his wife, as she had her memories re-written in such a way that gave her entire free will over her own life. In her hand she held a photo of the Senju she shared the last name with, looking at the face of Wan on the photo as she begins to remember the memories that were given to her.
Suddenly her smile would turn to a frown, pressing against the glass of the frame tighter with her thumb as it begins to crack. She was frustrated with how long it was taking him to return to the Leaf, his promises to make it back after business in Sunagakure being well past its expiration. "I'lL oNlY bE gOnE FoR a WeEk." she would say mockingly, the words she heard from Wan before she left echoing in her head as she smacked her teeth and threw the photo to the wall. Raising from the chair behind the desk she would continue to search around the room, searching through the contents of the office with no set goal to find anything. But to simply be nosey as to find something that might not have been meant for her to find.
A few hours had passed and Kamari was now merely relaxing within the office of her husband. With her legs kicked up on the desk and crossed she lit a cigarette and took a pull from it, exhaling the smoke into the air as her gaze would be fixed on the ceiling above. Thoughts of what Wan was currently up to would rush through her mind, and although she could directly contact him through telepathy it didn't seem like the play to make to her. She had known that he would be attending the summit soon, and the two of them had already talked about how he would be coming back to the village once it concludes. While she was caught in a train of thought a series of knocks would come at the door of the office, the tall oak door echoing the gestures through its material loudly.
"Shit." she would think, instantly pulling her legs off the table as she sat correctly in the chair. She was caught off guard, and the fact that she was necessarily not supposed to be within the Hokage's office without permission certainly wasn't the greatest time to be caught with her pants down. Kamari didn't plan on anyone coming to the office as she was under the assumption that the village had known that Wan was not present, but Wan had once again lied to her as it seemed he told nobody about his departure but her! She bit her lip in frustration, "You fucking...ugh." she would gently mumble in disgust towards how inconsiderate Wan was. Whoever was knocking at the door was most likely seeking attendance with the Hokage, and knowing that there was no way in hell Wan would be able to return to handle business she had to think of a plan fast. On the floor in the distance, she noticed the picture of Wan she had thrown earlier when suddenly a thought came to her. Wasting no time she stood up from the chair and began weaving handseals, a puff of smoke covering her entire body momentarily as she performs the transformation jutsu, using the picture of Wan with his Hokage garments on as a template for her technique.
Turning around and facing the window behind her she would quickly look at her reflection, making sure her accuracy with her technique would be close enough to perfectly mimic her husband, she now it would seem as if she had the choice of either faking to be him or get caught lurking around his office, the latter leading to a full-blown explanation on why the real Wan was not currently present. The Senju would turn back around and look at the door, knowing that whoever stood behind it was expecting a response. She cleared her throat as she sat back in the chair, taking a deep breath as she would begin to stretch her vocals cords to make her voice sound as deep as it would naturally go. She knew she wouldn't be able to mimic the voice of Wan exactly, so she was hoping that whoever it was had not yet heard the real Wan talk, thankful for the cigarettes causing a slight harshness to form on her voice over time. After clearing her throat once more, she would ask them to come in, her eyes focused on the door as she waited for them to enter.
As the door opened she watched as a girl with brown hair entered through, the style of two strands with a bun being rather unique to her as she has yet to see another woman who cared about their hair, as well as she, believed her self did. She noticed the Konoha headband tied around her head, indicating to her that the girl was no simple villager but a Shinobi of the Leaf. As the two locked eyes, the girl would soon salute Kamari, exclaiming with a voice full of pride that she was reporting for duty. "Duty?" Kamari would think to herself, completely unaware of what was going on. Maybe this was someone Wan had sent for before his departure, growing even more aggravated with Wan as he ONCE AGAIN failed to even mention to her any business he left on the table before tending to business. Nevertheless, it would seem as if the role of Hokage fell on her currently, Kamari fixing her posture in the chair to a more formal as she gently smiled at Blasia. Her tone would be both formal and respectful as she talked. "Thank you for reporting to me, Blasia. Please, close the door behind you."
As she waited for Blasia to close the door she would begin to think of what to do next. She had noted that Blasia said she was 'reporting', a sign that Blasia had been told to come to the office for some reason. If the situation didn't currently seem weird then it most definitely would if Kamari had no idea why Blasia was there, so she had to act as if she knew exactly why she was there. She would look the girl up and down one last time to note her entire appearance, locking eyes once again as a sign of both respect and attention for the Shinobi. "I'm sure you're wondering why I've called you to my office personally. I've noticed your previous grades during your time at the academy, and it would seem as if you've shown both quality and quantity when it comes to missions for the Leaf. You've caught my eye, Sarutobi, and I wanted to meet such a promising ninja face to face." She began to look around at the different folders that laid on the desk, the pile organized recently by the assistant to the Hokage. A stack labeled 'missions' was to her right, Kamari reaching to the top of the stack and pulling the first piece of paper from it. "I have a mission I want you to take, and I will personally be joining you alongside it to get a taste of your current knowledge and skill myself." Taking the piece of paper and pushing it forth to the other end of the table for Blasia to take she would await for the Sarutobi to step forward and grab it, continuing with the details of the mission. "There's been a family feud that has been taking its toll against the bathhouse owned by the family itself. The owner and his brother have been going neck and neck recently over the establishment, rumors circulating that sooner or later one of the two will end up killing the other. Right now the owner fears his brother is already advancing with his threats to kill him, so he hired a Shinobi to watch over the bathhouse for the day for any potential threats. Sounds like a task you can handle, Blasia?"

Re: A Leaf in the Wind (P | Wan)

As the young Sarutobi shinobi continuously looked down at the floor, bowing towards the Hokage – she began to lift her head up in confusion as the leader of the leaf shinobi thanked for her for her arrival, followed by a request to close the door behind her. ‘Huh?’, she began to think to herself with a look of frazzled confusion, ‘He’s so…. Nice?’, she continued. Blaisa shook off this look of confusion before turning around and heeding her leader’s request to close the door - doing a double take behind her, looking back towards the Hokage just to make sure she was not being subliminally tested in her manner etiquette skills.
Throughout the duration of her life, Blaisa always thought the Hokage was a big and shady guy, whom had a lot of secrets that he liked to keep to himself. Upon closer inspection, Blaisa did not feel any sense of fear while within the Hokage's presence like she had predicted previously. Instead, she was comforted with a feeling a safety and security - almost like he was a real parent to the Leaf's shinobi. 'Almost like a.... mother?', she would begin to think, shaking her head in stupidity as the Hokage was very clearly a man.
Looking upon him with a face of confusion, Blaisa simply watched as the Hokage seemed to be slightly confused, shuffling through various folders that had laid upon his desk. Blaisa slightly laughed in a high pitched tone, taking note of her Kage's lack in organization skills. Wan began to pick up one of the pieces of parchment paper, causing the young ninja's curiosity to arise as she tilted her head to the side, awaiting to hear his request. As Wan began to give Blaisa praise for her performance during her time in the Academy as well as her career as a Genin, the shinobi began to chuckle, closing her eyes and itching the back of her head, humbly not allowing his appraisal to get to her head.
As he continued to speak, her face began to light up in shock as he explained a new mission that she would be going on, the hardest and most challenging one she's had yet - with one special addition to it as well. Blaisa's face would turn into an expression of complete and udder shock as the Hokage announced that he would be personally accompanying the Sarutobi with her on this trip. ‘What!?’, she would begin to think with a look of comedic surprise, being taken back a little by this turn of events. When Blaisa woke up this morning, the last thing she was thinking was that she would have such high expectations placed on her. ‘What in the world is going on here?’, she continued to think, taking a moment to look down at the floor and ponder upon any underlying reasons as to why this was occurring. ‘Out of all the shinobi available in the village… a newbie like me? Being accompanied on a mission like… this?’, she finished thinking, coming up with no explainable reasoning. Blaisa would table this question for a later time, as she figured that this was something that only time could tell.
The Hokage began to slide the piece of paper towards the edge of his desk, intending for Blaisa to take a look. Wiping the expression of confusion from her face and instead replacing it with a look of determination and confidence, she began to approach closer to the desk. The young Sarutobi proceeded to pick up the piece of paper, scanning it from head to toe as the Hokage began elaborating on the details of the mission. “Two brothers?”, she would begin to huff under her breath as Wan continued his explanation, ‘How could one threaten the life of someone such as their own brother?’, Blaisa would think to herself.
‘The world of the shinobi is truly a place full of hate, greed, and vengeance’, the shinobi would continue to think to herself, already beginning to think tactfully about a peaceful solution rather than one ridden with violence. Of course, more context would be required in order to make an informed decision, but surely this family related matter could be solved with a simple exchange of words. As Wan finished explaining the details and finished by asking if Blaisa could handle it – she began to close her eyes and provided Wan with an overly positive, excited and wide smile.
“Well, it doesn’t look like I can say no!”, she would exclaim with a tone of excitement while still holding that smile of positivity. “Where exactly is the bathhouse located?”, she would begin to ask while placing her hand on her chin in thought, “Also – when are we departing?”. Blaisa stood idly by in front of the Hokage’s desk, awaiting an answer or a sense of guidance so that they could officially begin their mission together.

Re: A Leaf in the Wind (P | Wan)
Fri Dec 11, 2020 11:36 pm
There was a level of ambition and confidence Kamari could see within the girl standing before her. Not only was she excited for the mission tasked to her but she was eager to have it completed, showing to the disguised Hokage that she contained traits that were key to the evolution of a shinobi. Although she would not verbally state these accusations she would make mental note of Blasia, continuously making the effort to remind Wan of this one once he returned. The Sarutobi asked her about the location of the mission, which she did not know, her face showing a quick sign of confusion after it was asked. She quickly fixed her expressions as she placed her hand on her hip, the other on her chin as she began to map out the entirety of the village in her head. Kamari had been to a few of the bathhouses before, her favorites being the one that resides in the Hyuga District where she lived. Although she wouldn't mind visiting it again she had known the owner of that establishment personally, which was a widowed woman and not a man with a brother. There are two bathhouses in the Uchiha District, both of which are run by perverted men which she'd love to have demolished upon the request of Wan, however, they still did not have any siblings or mentions of quarrel. This left the only bathhouse in the Okinaga District, the one that she had never visited due to the ratings she had heard about it.
"The bathhouse is located in the Okinaga District, not far from here." she would state after clearing her mind of deep thoughts. While she continued to talk she began to gather her personal belongings, shuffling around the room as she finished explaining to Blasia the requirements of the mission. "Although extreme amounts of hostility will most likely not be present we can most definitely expect a verbal confrontation, especially if both the brothers are indeed present. The mission will be yours to guide, as I will only be there to assess how well you are with handling these types of civil disputes, which I believe is a key aspect in every developing Shinobi." Truthfully Kamari had hoped that no form of combat would evolve from the situation, since it was taking a lot for her to maintain her transformation. Fighting would not be in her best interest, since the smallest blow would be enough to break the technique, not to even mention what would happen if she used too much chakra while keeping it active. Kamari would reach for the pack of cigarettes she had on the desk, taking a single one out as she placed it between her lips and lit it, knowing damn well that the real Wan never smoked cigarettes.
The Senju would gaze out the window, noticing as the sun would begin to set over the village as air rushed through for its final time before she would close the panels of glass. "I say we best to make our way there now since business hours will be over soon." She would turn to Blasia and give the biggest smile she could think of, her eyes closing with the expression as she placed the cigarette in the ashtray. "Let's head out, Blasia." she would muster pridefully, waiting for confirmation from the Sarutobi before the two of them would make their exit from the Hokage Office and towards the bathhouse. Sure enough, Kamari would use this as an opportunity to assess the knowledge and skill of Blasia, wanting to be able to pass the information along to Wan as she felt as if a promising and worthy Shinobi was in the making.
