Transcendence

Kenshin would look down at the organs that rested on the desk in front of him in what almost appeared to be apprehension, his red eyes staring intently at the two unassuming kidneys while the rest of his face remained completely blank. Gods… it had finally come to this. According to all of his testing, and he had been VERY vigorous with it… this was still a shot in the dark. There was a chance it would work, and many more chances that it would fail spectacularly… and if that happened he may very well be left in an even worse position than he already was. But… at this point even a low chance was better than the alternative, he had reached the point where this decay… it had become something that he truly could not deal with any longer. He was assaulted by waves of intense and crippling pain near constantly, and even when he was free from that… he felt far weaker than he had felt in years now. The Ragdoll had been putting all of his time and effort into studying this damned decay… into figuring out exactly why his own chakra was turning against him in the way it had… and in the end the answer was almost enough to disgust him. His own power had become far too great for his own body to handle… and his chakra was so toxic that it had even started to decay the container that held it… he was suffering the same fate that befell Denkiteki, the first Hogokage… although the reason behind the decay was quite different to Denkiteki’s.
According to his testing the two organs that rested in front of him could very well be the key to strengthening his own body… for they were organs that belonged to Mizuki… who in turn belonged to a clan much like his own… a clan that possessed bodies and bloodlines that were far superior to normal mortals. The Kyuketsuki, a clan long regarded as vampires for their eternal youth and perfect bodies… could very well be holding the answer that he had been searching for. The bloodline itself was impossible to transplant, but it wasn’t the bloodline that he was after… what he needed was the very cells of the Kyuketsuki… he needed the key to what made their bodies so resilient to everything that was thrown at them… including the effects of time, and the decay that came with it. His own decay would not be stopped, nor would the decay of time… BUT, it would be slowed to the point that it was a true non factor, and with it slowed to that point he would be able to focus on finding a way to repair the damage that had already been dealt to his body. The only reason this had a chance to work was due to his own rather unique physiology… the body of a Tau was so remarkably malleable… so remarkably willing to be altered by the cells that entered their body. The more hearts a Tau gained access to the more elements they gained, and the easier they were able to control the threads… the more power they gained the more powerful the threads became.
From his own testing, his threads were indeed imbued with the cells of the clans that he had transplanted, and interestingly enough… they seemed to be imbued with the cells of clans that he didn’t have transplanted… the cells of clans that he had hearts from. This led him to believe that it would be possible to imbue the threads, and his body, with the cells of the Kyuketsuki… which in truth, would do very little for him, if anything at all. All it would do really, and all he was aiming for it to do, was halt this damned decay.
With a final sigh The Reaper would shrug his black robe from his body, revealing his exposed upper body, and the simple grey pants he wore beneath. With but a thought his very torso would seemingly unravel, opening wide to reveal the truth of The Ragdoll, his threads opening wide like a maw and moving towards the organs that sat upon the table, slowly engulfing them. The organs were slowly but surely crushed by his threads, which were at the same time slowly absorbing the resulting paste. He had to admit… this was incredibly painful, he could feel the ‘fire’ engulfing his body and he began to wonder if, perhaps, he had been wrong to try this… but that only lasted for a few moments, this was his best and only option for the moment, and any of his other ideas were far more risky. At worst, this failed and he moved onto his next ideas, and at best it saved him a lot more trouble.
As The Ragdoll embraced the pain he found himself starting to feel… strange. His left eye specifically… began to burn, but not in a bad way. His chakra began to be drawn into the foreign organ, forcibly activating it and continuing to drain more and more from his reserves, far more than it took to both activate and continue to hold the eye. As it continued to drain the design of his Eternal Mangekyo began to morph, the pattern itself being pushed towards the edge of his irises as violer began to overtake the entire eye, consecutive black rings cutting through the violet. As it overtook the eye what Kenshin could see shifted minutely… and he began to notice the almost wispy chakra that could be seen around the room, and slowly being drawn towards him. On top of that… The Ragdoll could feel the ‘fire’ that had overtaken his body receding, and the constant pain that he felt was gone.
Kenshin would quickly scramble for the mirror on his desk and stare into it… or more specifically, the new form that his eye had taken in his left eye socket. It was… eerie to look at, and it was unlike anything he had ever seen before.
All in all he had one simple question
"...What the FUCK is this."
