Meika's Colletion of E Missions
Sat Jan 30, 2021 11:34 pm
Mission
Her knuckles sounded against the door, as she waited for the Kumogakure villager to greet her. The Kunoichi stood with patience. Upon the belt that hugged around her waist, hung a leather pouch that contained various letters written for the villagers of Kumogakure. Today the female ninja was playing mail delivery.
An old woman greeted the raven haired female at the door, before being handed an envelope with her name enscripted with a wax stamp in view. They both exchanged kind smiles, as the elderly took the envelope with shaking yet tender hands. Before Meika departed, the woman gave her a bow with thanks.
"No need to thank me, it's my duty to serve," Meika responded softly. Her face softening with kindness for the woman.
The sun was warm on her back, as she continued to visit door by door to deliver the condiments that the leather bag contained. She could tell that the bag was growing lighter, she must have delivered over 40 different letters to different houses by now. It wouldn't be long for the afternoon to turn into night.
This mission was a walk in the park compared to the many different things she did during her life in Sunagakure. But she wasn't going to complain about taking it easy. She can just be thankful that she was of use within the village of lightning.
Meika has been within this new village of hers for at least a year now. So far so good, the Raikage has given her this chance to redeem herself and showen mercy, which is something very unlikely of the Raikage himself. No doubt if Meika fails in proving her worth to Kumogakure, the Raikage may revoke the mercy he shown.
For the time being Meika was allowed the privilege to live within the walls of the village with no harm or threat. She was indeed a foreigner and still can be deemed a threat if they so decided.
One of deliveries was a handful of beautiful daffodils, a man was delivering them to his wife/lover as he was still out hard at work for the day. The female ninja considered it thoughtful for the man to give such a gift. Of course the woman was very surprised yet pleased to receive them.
Meika was starting to get thirsty as she realized the dryness of her throat proceeding to increase. She made a mental note to stop by one of the merchants to purchase herself something to quince thirst, before heading back home.
She wondered to herself, was the Raikage going to check in to make sure she was behaving? Or was he going to leave her alone for the time being, until she made an obvious sign that might seem to his unliking.
The leather pouch was light was light at her side for it was now empty and the sun was creeping down the horizon as the afternoon crept into a cooler night. She had delivered the last of the letters at the far side of the village, it was about time to turn in her mission and reward her with a drink. {End}

Mission
The atmosphere was thick from the rain that had occurred early in the morning. The birds stayed slumbering within their nests of shelter. Keeping dry as the streets of Kumogakure were drizzled by transparent droplets of falling water. Leaving the rest of the day heavy with the scent of rain and earth. The sky held a curtain of fog, as if it was collecting the dew that lingered.
The air was cool and crisp as it lightly kissed her flushed cheeks, which stood out as a shade of rose against her fair, pastel skin. The woman that wandered down Kumgakure’s streets was a kunoichi that traveled from the harsh sands of Sunagakure.
The environment here was so much different from her hometown, but the female was built to adapt. Despite the groggy weather, this was nothing that could stop her from her duty as a shinobi.
It would take much more than just a little cool rain to stop her.
The kunoichi was currently on a mission. She had received the parchment at the location of the mission board. The pale parchment held the details she needed to complete with success. It was a simple mission, to bring in the wandering strays of Kumogakure, so that they can be given a home.
She was starting her path with simple tasks, and later will work her way up to what really mattered. However; this simple task still held importance to the village. So it must be done.
Meika continued her mission. So far she had been successful in bringing five strays to the written location. With this weather the animals wouldn’t be wandering as much through the streets and between the houses. Instead they will be seeking shelter to keep dry and warm, making it easier to catch them by surprise and corner them.
In a way it seemed cruel for the small beings, but in the end it was for a good cause, and led to a more stable outcome for the strays.
She tugged her hooded cloak around her more tightly. A little gush of wind threatened to strip the hood from her raven hair, but she refused to yield to the weather.
Her attire was growing slightly damp from the rain, but it wouldn’t be long until her mission was completed. She had a set time in which was to be spent searching, and so far she did make progress.
Her silver eyes caught the dart of movement from the corner of her sight. Her attention was drawn. She silently followed towards what seemed to be an alleyway between two houses. It was game over.
The little rascal had led itself into a corner. It was kind of sad. This situation was common, even in the life of humans. One slight mistake could lead you to your death. Getting pushed into a wall with no way of escaping. Resulting at the end of your journey.
She stepped into the alley. Her eyes soften at the sight of the little kitten. It’s fur was an ashy grey, tainted with the earthy brown from the wet ground. The closer she approached, the more the kitten reacted. Puffing up it’s little matted fur as if it was some ferocious beast trying to look threatening, spitting and sputtering like a viper.
Meika responded with a gentle smirk, crouching down and quickly wrapping her arm around the kitten’s frail little body. It’s sharp claws dug sharply into her wrist, bringing up tiny beads of crimson. She didn’t flinch, realizing that the kitten had no other fight left within it’s exhausted form. She made the decision to bring this one home, completing her mission for the day.

Mission
Another parchment was tied to the kunoichi’s pouch, signaling that she was yet again busying herself with another mission. It was notable that Meika was focusing her attention on quite simple tasks, determined to get the lower ranking missions out of the way before accepting the more exciting and challenging ones.
There was a slight bead of crimson that dripped from her pale fingertip. The woman briefly placed her bleeding finger within her mouth. The taste of bitter iron was sharp on her tongue. Some of the weeds that she was dealing with, had tricky little thorns along their sturdy stems. Luckily the plant wasn’t poisonous.
If the weeds had been poisonous, she knew she wouldn’t have been as careless. The pricks didn’t really bother her as much, despite drawing her attention when a thorn did succeed in drawing blood.
Her attention wandered over the landscape for a brief moment. Pale irises captivated by the vivid varieties of color that each different vegetable offered. Plump scarlet tomatoes that climbed eagerly towards the sunlight, bright yellow squash in many lumpy awkward shapes, and peppers of so many colors. There was no doubt that this garden was well tended to.
After admiring the plants, Meika returned to pulling the weeds within the crossarms. With each handful of troublesome pests, she disposed of the weeds into a pouch that would be discarded later.
There was some shouting in the distance. A small boy was chasing after a dog. How peaceful it was within the walls of this village. There was so much excitement always buzzing through the air, as many events were taking place in this new home of hers. This feeling of safety was unusual to her. Even unsettling in it’s own way. What would have happened if she never made it here? There’s only so much exhaustion a vessel can take, before it gives up for good.
The young boy had finally caught up to the dog, and was eagerly taking it back home where it belonged. So that nothing unfortunate was to happen to the gullible creature.
Another sharp prick cut her skin enough to bleed some more. More crimson filled her vision. Reminding her of that dreadful night when she still lived within the sands. The memory brought a sharp pain within. Meika pushed past the memory, ignoring it as she distracted herself with the weeds within her path to completion.
There was only a little more to go. The garden was quickly growing more and more spacious as she continued to pull and dispatch. No doubt she’ll tend to the cuts that marked her fingers and hands after her job was completed in full. A sigh left her lips. The last of the weeds was dropped into the pouch, ready to be discarded for good. All that was left to do, was turning in the mission and collecting what she earned. The ryo was nice, but having one more mission scratched off her list was the real reward in the end.

Mission
Meika was making her way to do some grocery shopping. Today though, it wasn’t meant for her. Instead she was doing a mission for a kind old lady. When receiving the mission, Meika was blessed with many positive compliments from the elder lady, along with a pouch of what ended up being homemade cookies. It was a generous gift to receive. Meika tried to deny the cookies, not wanting the lady to think she had to go out of her way to be so kind, but the lady was very persistent and Meika had no choice but to accept with a bow.
The kunoichi was still surprised by the lady’s kind behavior towards her. It was true that Meika held very enchanting features, but she usually received frequent frightened glances from other villagers. She possessed the beauty of a viper. Alluring to look at but seemingly deadly or dangerous to handle.
Yet the old lady wasn’t intimidated in the slightest. She actually seemed to enjoy discovering Meika’s silver-like eyes.
Meika felt her lips soften into a smile, before placing one of the cookies between her teeth. The recipe was quite impressive and delicious.
Now was the time to do some collecting.
Meika went ahead and gathered the different fruits and vegetables that were written on the list she received from the lady. Taking the time to properly examine each and every one to check for ripeness and condition of the grocery. Then she searched for a vibrant handful of parsley. The lady had taken the time to explain that the parsley was intended to be used for her chicken dinner for later that night.
White rice was the next listed ingredient. The kind that would be perfect for sushi.
The objective was going fairly well. Going grocery shopping wasn’t troubling at all. The bandages that peppered all over the kunoichi’s hands reminded herself of the mission she had just done the day before. The thorns didn’t really bother her from the previous mission, but she wanted to be sure she healed quickly.
The last thing listed on the grocery list, was a few different types of meat that the lady was in need for. Meat was properly one of Meika’s favorite things to shop for. She really held an interest in the gamey food.
She tied a fairly wrapped package of high quality roast to her waist for easier carrying, as she devoted to looking over the many fresh caught salmon on display. After finally making a decision one which one to get, Meika made the decision to also buy one for herself with her own ryo. No doubt that her kitten at home would very much appreciate a treat to the fish as well.
Both of the salmon were wrapped and ready to go. Now it was time to deliver the old lady her groceries and collect the reward. Deep down. . . the kunoichi was happy to be of aid for the kind lady. She would be happy to do any future tasks for her if needed.
