Name: Kirigakure R&D Modular Armor
Appearance: The new generation of Kirigakure R&D's armor is a little hodgepodge-looking, valuing practicality over flair. No two sets look quite the same, but all provide full-body coverage, and often feature gas masks, hoods, and a myriad of pouches and storage places for small weapons or scrolls. Most of these sets are quite bulky, but lighter than they look. Often, augmentations to this armour set will be represented as added gadgets, but this is purely aesthetic and subject to review.

Backstory: After the reorganization of Tengakure's science divisions into Kirigakure R&D, chronic under-funding and a growing lack of popularity in their new home has lead to a number of changes to the Sky Nation's formerly famous armour designs. The sleek and futuristic designs have become more low-key in order to better help Kirigakure's shinobi blend in and appeal to their more classic sensibilities, and the rank-based sets of armor have been collapsed into modular designs to better suit individual villagers' needs.

During an unfortunate incident involving a daring escape by R&D's chakra-enhanced monkeys, several of the department's more valuable schematics such as chakra barriers were lost. What a shame.

Trait: Upon purchase, the buyer must select one of the following traits for their set, as well as specifying whether their set is Chakra or Physical armour. The owner's choices must then be indicated on their stat page where the armour is listed.

Air Tank - The armour's helm is in the form of a gas mask hooked up to an oxygen tank built into the armour. By flicking a switch on their armour, the wearer can inhale the contents of the air tank rather than from the surrounding environment. The tank is able to provide four posts' worth of air per thread for the purposes of surviving underwater or avoiding noxious substances in the air.

Infrared Sensor - The armour's helm is equipped with infrared sensors, allowing the owner to see into the infrared spectrum (also known as 'heat vision') while they are looking through it. This has a range of 25 meters, outside of which the heat signal is too weak to translate into a visual image.

Enhanced Storage - The armour is equipped with hidden seals in several areas, granting it fifteen item storage slots that function much like a storage scroll. Items sealed within the armour set must be indicated within the owner's stat page. Items are summoned and sealed at a cost of 5AP, and may be bundled to a reasonable degree.
