Heavens Gates and the Lonesome Pied Piper
Sat Jul 31, 2021 6:47 pm
Participating Character: Genki, Aichi
When Aichi was still very young the ten year old boy was caught up in a slew of trouble. Besides having just shreds of scrap cloth to cover himself, he had also been terribly sick with a fever. Homeless and with no family to take care of the orphan, Aichi was hiding inside a cave. He had managed to keep a canteen of water, but it was empty. He was starving and there was no hope in sight, his legs weak from a terrible virus.
All of this compounded to the fact that he had been recognized as a Jugo. Probably due to having been in that village before as the Berserker Yudokuna, the young kid was pelted with rocks. His illness hastened without medicine, and here he lay. The cold stone cave floor kept him cold, but he was too weak to get up. No blanket, no peace.
Aichi was horribly afraid someone would track him, and so sick he would be unable to protect himself. There was nothing to do about it however, and he hoped the sickness would outlast himself.
While he was laying there Aichi thought a lot about his life. The young kid was a thinker, even when he was too immature to think about anything worth while. His mind was active, and he was replaying memories in his head. The Jugo was trying to remember what he had done in this village to make them so clearly remember him. Most people never connected him with the monster that so called plagued the world in Aichi's wake.
To the best he could remember between the fever fog, Aichi had been in this area a few weeks ago. But he hadn't stopped at the village, since there was ninja there. He usually avoided them in fear of investigation.
Aichi's heart raced, if the ninja were hunting Yudokuna it wouldnt be long before they found him. He tried to stand up but the best he could do was lean on the wall. There was no choice but to wait his sickness out. While he was leaning on the cave wall Aichi was thinking hard about where he slept that night he was near this village. He couldnt figure it out, and eventually laid back down.
Waking up from a nightmare about going berserk, Aichi was panting. He didnt feel much better, but his Jugo vloodline was begining to rise inside of him. When he woke up his entire body was encased by his nature energy infused flesh. The heavy, condensed black flesh shined in the darkness, and Aichi's face was almost completely consumed by the fibrous tendrils that grew around his neck and up to his head.
Aichi sighed, and released his constraints. Usually he fought the rages, but he was too weak now. Before he knew it there was no Aichi, his own perspective lost to the blood crazed ambitions of Yudokuna. Yudokuna controlled his body now, and Yudokuna had only one advisory.
Yudokuna did what the nature energy whispered inside of his mind. As a Berserker Aichi could recognize the whispering. As if the chakra was speaking in another language that controlled him, Yudokuna was running towards the village to kill. Aichi couldnt understand this nature energy, only able to understand its emotive influence. The frenzy was heavily tied to this emotive resonance, and Aichi had an easy time releasing his inhibitions on the frenzy.
Aichi had learned to embrace it, and Yudokuna was a developing aspect of this. Yudokuna was his way of experiencing things he knew not of. This was fixing to change, and soon Aichi would be privy of the same emotive destruction that this nature energy imbued inside of his flesh. Soon the tender hearted Aichi was his own student, viewing his actions as the Berserker Sage Yudokuna in an aire of enlightenment. Understanding the needs of this natural energy was essential to his concious control.
As Aichi watched his black claws dig into the wood of a houses out walls, he wondered what had brought him to this house. While he was thinking of Yudokuna's relation to natural chakra, that same natural energy was guiding his senses.
There was a loud bang as the door flied open. Yudokuna was exposed climb up the house towards a window. Aichi noticed he was staring at this man. Almost as if he were judging him, but as he surveyed his mind he found no thoughts. Instead Yudokuna seemed to be searching for someone else.
Suddenly this mans wife ran put the door. She was heavily overweight and her bright red hair looked like a clowns wig. She was shrieking and held a kitchen knife. Aichi could feel his tensions rise, and he leapt off the building. Landing on his feet he snarled, and Yudokuna's monstrous flesh rippled like a snake was coursing through his flesh.
"Auurah! Your crimes, your misfortunes!" Aichi could hear himself screaming, but he knew not of what he spoke. He had a good idea however, and as he passively observed his life from inside; the young man was weaving his own chakra through his body. He could sense foreign emotion from the natural energy, and he could feel a drawing to it. As Aichi he was learning, as Yudokuna he was a master.
Yudokuna's arm grew a scythe at his elbow. The black curve reached just past his hand, and he didnt need to study this feeling. Aichi knew what was next. He dash on all four towards the woman. The scythes curve was facing outside his body, and when he ran by with blinding speed Yudokuna severed her head.
The next Aichi knew he was in the cave again. His illness was cured, and he had clear memory of what he learned through Yudokuna's eyes. Aichi was quite puzzled, but was certain that he was onto a breakthrough by learning this attached emotion of chakra.
Sitting on a rock in the dark cave, morning sun began to poke through. As the light warmed his blood covered skin, Aichi decided to look for a local library. He wondered what he might learn about the emotive power of chakra, and headed east towards a famous library that was part of the Kozai Yuki Archives. According to travelers it had a plentiful supply of reading, and Aichi expected it to be a good place to begin his study of Ninshu.
Unbeknownst to Aichi he was gifted with the wisdom of experiencing chakra less war themed aspects. Aichi could sense emotion in chakra, and with training he would learn to view memories. The 10 year old would not develop this talent, but after studying abroad he eventually became an expert on Ninshu. A few years later he was back around that same village for the first time.
Camping inside the same cave, Aichi was recalling how he had stumbled upon the mechanics of Ninshu by beheading that woman. As he was growing in skill, while berserk Aichi was able weave through the contents of nature energy. If he looked hard enough he could sense different emotions towards living beings. Aichi deduced these were free flowing byproducts of using chakra to harm the natural law of our world.
Soon he would find a new way to discover emotion and even memories through Ninshu. There was a mercenary on Aichi's tail, and he was hunting the occasional thief. Just outside the cave there was an E Ranked hunter about to attack.
Wearing a raincoat there was a middle aged man with a mustache preparing for his assault. He had no idea Aichi was a Jugo, but he would soon find out. Banging from the top of the doorway to the cave, the man weaved some handseals together for a great fire ball jutsu.
Aichi saw the shadow as he was turning around to make a bathroom break, and was immediately on guard. Living as a nomad he never had visitors, only enemies to find him by the camp site. Aichi was expecting no less than danger from this shadowy silhouette as they were shuffling from above.
Reacting instinctively Aichi performed the Soap Bubble Jutsu, and spit out three small bubbles just in time. The watery filled bubbles protected him from the roaring fires and Aichi had a moment to consider his next move.
But first the clash of two ninjutsu took effect. While his watery protection savednhin, Auchi saw a brief flash of light. As if the light was from inside of his own water, Aichi saw a vivid memory. Like a moving video, a mysterious man was arguing with his wife. Spit was flying from his mouth as he stood over her and shouted. This example of uis life was clearly the rage and hatred used to fuel his fire and hunt missing ninja for a living.
Aichi was familiar with rage and hatred, the essence of the obscure memory was clear to him.
Aichi could clearly discern the moving images, and had glimpsed specifically into this humans history. This was his first practical use of Ninshu, but he only had a split second to contemplate the knowledge. The shadowy figure of the man was still hanging from the caves exit, and Aichi had limited options.
He created another bubble, and it flew swiftly forward before exploding near the top of the cave. The man fell from the wall above and landed on the ground. Aichi ran over him and into the woods. He was heading towards the village, hopeful to lose his pursuer.
Hiding inside of a tea shop Aichi was certain the potential captor would follow him, and he was right. The door flew open and the man was weaving more hand seals. Sitting at a table, towards the door, Aichi had plenty of time to move. His arm transformed, and he leapt onto the table. As the man fired three fireballs, Aichi sliced three blades of chakra from his scythe.
The collision was more clear this time, and Aichi wasn't thrilled by this man. He was an abuser of women, and this was the first the nomad had ever known of such experience.
Despite his wrath induced Transformations, Aichi wasnt one to get conventionally angry. Usually he bottled things up, but this new insight was too much for his young heart to bear. Aichi jumped forward, passively viewing the memories while his body moved instinctively.
Swift as a river Aichi impaled the man in the chest, killing him. The blood ran down his blades arm, and Aichi released the transformation with it still inside of his victim. The shop was a total wreck, and people were running all over. Aichi fled too.
As he was running further and further away from the village, his body began to transform. He wasn't sure why, but his entire body was transforming. As he would later discover the effects of Ninshu altered his mood, and gave his body different reactions to the storage of nature chakra.
Aichi was become a Sage. But the journey did not start as something simply, and at the halfway point Ninshu became a tool that neither was certainly helpful or detrimental. By understanding other people through Ninshus effect with chakra, the Jugo was more receptive to accepting the reality of things the nature energy presented. This primal energy generally being a visceral combination of violence and chaos; human balance was key to controlling it, and this balance started with understanding human emotions.
Growing up an orphan, Aichi was not quite fond of others. Through Ninshu he didnt really change, instead he just learned why he didnt like others. His courage grew like the echo of a lion's roar, and Aichi evolved this devil mantle of Yudokuna.
The Venomous Devil of Haven was feared by villages, a destructive force that lurked inside the forests. The more Aichi understood these villagers through Ninshu, the more he learned what they feared. It wasnt the death or pain Yudokuna wrought to their lives, it was the unknowing of what they had done.
Aichi would often get the strangest visions. People burning live trees for charcoal, or siphoning sap from yearlings. Even hunters, and worst of all abusers. These visions of nature were always as a Berserker where he had no concious control. Aichi would dissociate and view these visions separate from his mind as a feral Jugo.
However while sober of nature chakra Aichis visions varied. Sometimes he would see things according to the person's mind or actions, and sometimes they were completely irrelevant at all. He expected in those cases his own curiosity was entertaining his talents and hoped to evolve this ability.
Aichi was actively studying all sorts of chakra techniques, jutsu and even Bukijutau. With little goals to meet as a orphan nomad, he trained his body, spirit and mind. Overtime Aichi began to become a civilized person, with lots of obscure wisdom available to him.
Still he had yet to master his battle with nature. As his intellect was cultured, his Berserker rages grew more iintelligent. He sometimes stalked people, hunting them during transformations. He became more peaceful in a way, however he wasnt above destroying villages still.
The natural energy was changing his soul, and Aichi was growing in so many ways he could barely keep it all to one self. Proud of his development, and hoping to turn a cursed name into a blessed one; Aichi decided he would master his transformation, and in turn decided to alter the identity of Yudokuna.
While transformed he used his control with Ninshu to reach out with his spirit, and slowly began developing control as a fully transformed Jugo. One night Aichi chained down his will, and used his claws to carve a new name into a stone head.
Yudokuna Chikara." Before others considered Yudokuna to be a creature, a haunting of life. Now they would know he was a part of a much greater force. Yudokuna was a guardian of natural law, and a force to push against society. The message was clear, and Aichi fell back into his human form. His mind couldnt control the body, but struggling would wear him out enough to make him unconcious or weak.
Aichi used these moments to grow, and as time went on his talents increased. He became a skilled swordsman, and even developed the Telekinetic Swordsman technique. He was growing in so many ways.
He still worked manual labor, but soon he would begin to put his new skills to the test. The more Aichi grew with Ninshu and learned to subjugate the beast that is Nature Energy, he grew closer to the heart of shinobi society. He would be pushed in a direction with his studies, and this was only the begining.
On top of that Yudokuna was growing more known, so he would have to think of something new to restrain his uncontrollable murders. Aichi decided to make his way to a new village to rest. There was supposedly a nearby cave where he could be restrained, and he decided to check that out.
