The Assassin could barely conceal the grin on his face as he paced near the inner walls of Sunagakure, a little to the left of The Cleft itself and out of the way of any foot traffic. Currently he was awaiting the arrival of his long time partner Hoori, and his newer partner Enrai, figuring that it was indeed correct to refer to Enrai as a partner at this point, given how many missions the two of them had done together. Heh… this next job was one that he was truly looking forward to, as it gave each of them an opportunity to actually fight against some opponents that should give them at least some type of challenge. The Mission? Go to an old and extremely dangerous part of Wind Country known as The Desert of Death and clear it out, as apparently some fools had taken to squatting in the area. Each of them would be useful in this mission, Hoori because that mans eyes were even more finely tuned than his own, seemingly able to find tracks where even Shin was sure none existed. Enrai because the mans Earth Release abilities would be extremely useful for taking out these squatters if they chose to fight. And of course himself, because his Byakugan was still a very useful tool and his Space-Time Manipulation had finally reached a level that he could be proud of.
He had, of course, informed both Hoori and Enrai of the details of the mission in the messages he sent them, as well as the time and location for the two to meet him. The Sun was setting, meaning their hunt would be taking place under the pale light of the moon, and perhaps by the light of the fire if their prey was foolish enough to be camping out in the open. Truthfully… he had absolutely no intention of letting these people get out alive, regardless of whether they tried to leave peacefully or not… he wasn’t some murder-happy fool, but he was looking for a fight to test his current skillset and he wouldn’t let such a perfect opportunity pass him by.
He would stop pacing and instead close his eyes, taking a couple of deep breaths to centre himself for the coming mission. He had a great deal of food and water stored away within his Storage Displacement, so if this did take longer than any of them would like it wouldn’t leave them hungry or thirsty before they fought. Last thing any of them needed was to go into a potentially dangerous fight feeling hungry, thirsty or exhausted.

It was pretty damned got outside today, and there was a particularly strong sensation today, and it made it so much worse than it would be any other day, and that was that it was humid. Enrai had never appreciated the sphere around the sand village than he did right now, as it was extremely hot, and earlier that day it seemed to have rained, just a couple of inches that evaporated immediately, but that was all it took to make the humidity jump up to a level where it was very uncomfortable. Enrai knew that he still needed to drink a lot of water even though it was humid, and so he had an extra canteen strapped to him currently, in addition to the large water bottle he was holding in his hand. He started heading back in to the village towards the gates, and was relieved when at the gates the temperature changed to something far more habitable, and he saw Shin standing there, pacing around and contemplating something.
Enrai would walk over to him and put his arm around his neck, being really buddy buddy with him for a moment. “Heya Shin, what’s wrong? You’re pacing back and forth quite a bit? Nervous?” Enrai would ask, before letting the hapless man go and looking around. It was so much nicer here that he stopped sweating immediately, although he was unsure how his sweat glands were still functioning, he would not question it for now and simply continue with his walking around. He took a big swig out of his water bottle before looking back towards Shin. “So, we have to wipe out a bunch of vagrants, that doesn’t seem too hard, but it does seem a bit.. cruel. “ Enrai would say,. Showing a bit of sympathy towards the people that had started squatting there.
He knew that there was no reason to show these people compassion, as the village would always help people in need, at least that is what it seemed like, so there was obviously either something really wrong with those people, or they were doing something really wrong in the desert of death. Enrai thought it was mostly the latter, but it still made him a bit apprehensive when he thought about him randomly killing the former, someone who just had something really wrong with them, and needed help and not just a murder. “Eh, I guess that’s what these people get for going somewhere called the desert of death, eh? I guess I shouldn’t have too much sympathy for them, as they’ll die sooner or later.” Enrai would shrug at this, before looking around and waiting for the third person.
“Oh yeah, I went out of the wall to go and check out the weather out there, and it is entirely too hot and humid… why does it even rain in the desert?” Enrai would complain, seemingly to the sky itself, before hanging his head down and sipping his water from his bottle again.

It was finally a time where the duo...well now he guessed they were a trio would begin to go out and actually hunt instead of doing so many investigations and escorts. He had made sure he had been sobered up and without company as he took great care of his bow, its time to shine was finally upon them. A inquisitive smile was on his face as he didn't remember off hand the last time he had to deal with a group of people in a more...direct way without speaking to them. The hunter was almost feeling a little sad he had not been able to use his skillset in a minute which made his fingers twitch with excitement as they ran over the string of his bow. Slowly he would place his bow on his back, right on the latch that was attached to the quiver with his arrows as well. Opening his window he would hop out of the window and head toward the Cleft where he would meet up with both Shin and Enrai. He would be the last one to arrive, just after Enrai had asked why did it rain in the desert which stopping just behind Shin he would answer," Even the desert has plants and wildlife in it. While the rain is sporadic and often finicky it does help the ecosystem. Also if you don't like the heat during the day just wait until the nigttime...it gets very cold sometimes," from the darkness he would show himself, suited up and ready for the task at hand.
He probably wouldn't have brought out his weapon of choice around the new guy, but Hoori was definitely one of the oddities within his own clan. If the other two were ready he would take point more so to keep a look out. A hunter always had keen eyes and as his began to glow a faint blue hue he would begin to scan the area for threats or the location where they were heading. He'd look back for only a moment more specifically to Enrai as he spoke," So how do you like our little group so far? I feel as neither of us have really spoken to one another so i'd figure I would ask...Also what's your preference on woman? Men?," he would of course leave that ambiguous just in case the man was more like himsef- Someone who enjoyed the finer things of all genders.

Shin would note the appearance of Enrai as he made his way towards the position of The Assassin, but he would continue to pace and think, his excitement tightly contained within. When the man arrived he would put his arm around Shin’s neck, the height difference between the two forcing the hulking man to lean down a little. When he asked what was wrong Shin stayed quiet for a moment, before chuckling and shaking his head in the negative when the man asked him whether he was nervous.
“Not quite my friend, not quite. This is the first chance I’ve really had to test my combat skills in quite awhile and I’m excited… I am usually quite calm and composed but right now my heart is racing, and I can barely contain myself.” The Assassin would explain, knowing that he could trust Enrai with all the work that the two had done together. He considered Enrai to be more than a simple mission partner at this point, and he certainly considered the man to be one of his few friends.
When Enrai gave his thoughts on their mission Shin would give a nod and listen, agreeing with the man to an extent, before giving another light chuckle when he told himself that he shouldn’t have sympathy for these fools. He could see Hoori approaching, but he figured he would give his own thoughts on what Enrai had said
“Yeah, this mission certainly isn’t a lighter one, but really… I can see why the higher ups have taken this stance. The Desert of Death is one of their higher security areas, and from what I’ve gathered is even used to test their Genin and see whether they’re ready to rank up. People squatting there… Well, I can’t think of a good reason why anyone would decide to set up there without some type of shady ulterior motive. Because I know for a fact that there are plenty of other, safer, places that these people could have chosen to stay… and based on the mission report that I read, they lost someone along the way yet they’re still there, and that tells me they were prepared to lose people in the process.” The Assassin would explain with a semi-grimace, knowing that these people were up to no good. It’s part of why he was so excited to wipe them out, because they would surely be able to put up some type of fight in the process.
The imposing Hyuuga would chuckle once more when Enrai complained about the humidity of the desert after the earlier rain, although he would certainly find himself nodding along with the man's sentiments. Hoori would show up mere moments later, answering the question as though Enrai hadn’t simply been complaining about it, which would make Shin internally shake his head. The question that Hoori asked in turn though… Well, that had Shin paying a little more attention, and he would shoot a small smirk at Enrai as the duo awaited his answer. He didn’t care about the man's preferences, he was more interested in finding out how Enrai found working with the two of them… the man had certainly shown himself to be someone that Shin was interested in working with more in the future.
Once Enrai had answered the three of them would head off, Shin taking point initially since he knew the path they needed to take to reach the Desert of Death. Once they arrived Shin would lead them to the entry-point, which was being guarded by a pair of Chunin. Once their mission was explained they were allowed to enter, and one of the Chunin even took them to the location that the corpse of one of their people had been discovered.
“You’re up now Hoori, track ‘em down.” He would say, before following his partner's lead. He would trail a little behind Hoori and simply try to keep pace with the man, something that was easier said than done.
Hoori would lead the trio to the camp of the squatters… but what they found disappointed Shin to no end. They weren’t quite dead, but it looked like they had absolutely no clue what was going on around them… absolutely delirious from hunger, thirst and exhaustion, and with a small sigh Shin would simply turn to Enrai and shake his head.
“Your choice man, we don’t have to kill ‘em. We can take ‘em to the guards and leave it at that, let Suna decide what they wanna do with ‘em. On the other hand, I don’t mind wiping ‘em out either… they can’t fight back so my desire to actually fight is gone.” He would explain, and he would follow whatever Enrai chose to do. If Enrai decided that killing them was the correct option Shin would simply activate his Imitation White Hole in the middle of their camp, far enough away that the three of them would be completely fine while their targets were put out of their misery. If, on the other hand, Enrai decided to deliver them to the guards Shin would move to immobilise them with his Singularity, before entering the area and knocking the immobile targets out. The three would then lug the unconscious bodies of the three intruders to the Chunin guarding the area.
With that done, the trio would return to Suna and report the success of their mission, earning their pay and going their separate ways for the night.

Re: Private Property!

Enrai listened to Shin’s opinion on the matter, and it seemed that the people that were out in the Desert of Death really had some shady, ulterior motive, as Enrai had learned a bunch of stuff about it just now. He did not know too much about the village, and had no idea the Desert was where genin of the village would come for their training and tests. If this was the case, it seemed that squatters there might be waiting to ambush the genin, or some other nefarious act, and he could get behind why the village was deeming them necessary for clearing out. This was when Enrai finally noticed someone in the distance, but since Shin could see very far away and he did not react badly, Enrai did not either.
Enrai noticed the other person joining, the same one that he had seen last time but had not yet gotten to talk to in full, which was Hoori. The man explained that even though the desert was hot, there was still wildlife there and plants, so it had to rain every once in a while. Enrai sighed a bit as the man explained that nighttime was a lot worse considering how cold it got. Enrai had to camp outside in the desert a couple of times trying to make his way to the village in the first place, so he was well aware. It was mostly him being a bit pedantic, but he felt the need to explain it to the man that seemed a bit too literal… or maybe he was messing with Enrai too, regardless, Enrai knew exactly how he was going to respond to the man.
“I know the general ecology of the desert, I was more asking why god, or the gods if that’s more your cup of tea, hate us.” Enrai would say, hinting at the weather being humid outside the dome, exactly at the time they were doing a mission. It was indeed a spring of bad luck that the day they were going out of the dome was the day that it had rained. Enrai shrugged and continued on walking towards the place they were supposed to be getting the people that were squatting out of there, and as they were walking, Hoori decided to ask him a question, maybe to break the ice, but the question was a bit strange to ask someone immediately after meeting them, as it involved Enrai’s sexual preferences.
“Yeah, we’ve only really seen each other on a mission, where I’m a bit more serious and less talkative than normal. You’ll have to forgive me about that.” Enrai would say, answering the first part of his sentence, stating that they had not really spojken to each other. Enrai was serious when he was on missions, and although he liked to joke around, he was constantly surveying his surroundings and making sure that he was doing a good job on the mission, especially if the mission was hosted by the major village. He did not want to lose his ability to tag along on missions for the village, and so he was constantly trying to be on his best behavior so that they had no cause to question him or his motives.
After this, came the question about Enrai’s sexual preferences, which Enrai had never really thought about before. He never really had a girlfriend, or a boyfriend, and he was not really actively searching for one at the moment, or ever, so he never really put stock into thinking about it. Putting a hand on his chin in thought about the question, he could not really think of a satisfactory answer for a bit, but after a little while, he supposed he was ready to answer. He enjoyed how women looked more than men, as he thought women looked sexy, while men looked awesome or badass, not really handsome, so he guessed that he liked women, at least sexually. “Women, I guess. Although I’ve never really been in a relationship, a tragic backstory will do that to a person, haha.” Enrai making a half-joke about his history.
Soon, they would get to a point where they had found a corpse, and from this corpse the team rapidly found their way towards the group of squatters. The group of squatters seemed to be a bit far away, and Enrai suddenly saw shin shake his head, which Enrai thought was something meaning that they did not need to fight the people. Either the people were dead or they were not a threat enough to warrant violence, meaning that Shin was not going to have the chance to practice his combat skills on these people. It would be nearly impossible to get any sort of combat experience or test anything on these people, they were fish in a barrel.
Enrai then heard that Shin’s desire to fight was actually gone now, and his assumptions proved correct, and Enrai was not some sort of bloodthirsty murderer, at least he did not think he was, so he was all for sparing them and getting them help. Enrai only wanted to kill the people that needed to be killed, or ones that dug their own graves. These people were neither, they were just random people that were suffering from the desert, and since Enrai was sweating his ass off in this heat and humidity, he had a great deal of sympathy for them. “Let’s just get them back to Suna. Some of these people might be important to someone or something in the village, and they aren’t squatting here out of malice.” Enrai would say, hearing Shin saying that he would leave the decision to him.
Enrai would then spend some time making sure these people were not violent, and he started sharing some water with them, and some of them came back to their senses a bit, while others simply passed out after they had gotten a bit of hydration. After that, Enrai grabbed a couple of people on his shoulders and started escorting them back to the village with the others. He did hope that they got some sort of treatment at the village once he handed them over to the guards, as he had been through massive pain before, and knew that they would need quite some time to become regular again.

" Maybe they just hate desert dwellers...Or yeah they could hate us I supposed. Immoral lifestyles and all. Or maybe one of you stole from their communion three years ago," of course a slight chuckle would escape from his lips as he made his appearance known to the other two. He knew Shin had already picked him up via his byakugan, but the other probably had not known he was coming unless he was paying attention to Shin's mannerisms. Seeing as Enrai had some of the same mannerisms as Shin in a sense he would laugh a little as he shook his head," Oh great I have another Shin to deal with great." his face would be stern for only a moment as he could not help but chuckle and laugh to show that he was quite the joktster of the group as he waved a hand," Honestly dude you are fine. I have to deal with dark and brooding over there on a day in and day off basis and his personality and mannerisms have grown on me. Maybe you will was well. No relationship? Bummer. Well you have a long life dealing with us mate. That will give you more than enough time to find someone to canoodle and do other things with," he'd say that of course in a positive manner to show that he was pretty much the chill. After the question the group would head on out to the mission destination, Hoori looking around for a moment to take in the area before they had arrived to the entrance of their mission location.
He would not waste any time looking over the body with his normal eyes, and it was only when he had seen the corpse that he knew something more might have needed to be done. After Shin gave the go ahead of Hoori to commence, hey dull blue eyes would begin to glow as he activated his byakugan and instantly he would be looking around. His head would begin to swivel from left to right in two controlled motions before he began to sprint off in a direction. The hunt was now on. Shin knew all too well that when Hoori began to hunt nothing was going to stop him from finding his mark. The trail would lead him continually straight as they came about the campsite and honestly it was enough to even make Hoori not want to fight anymore. Whatever had happened here robbed him of his want to hunt, but maybe justice had its own sense of humor. Letting the elements and the body naturally take care of their wrong doing was almost positively poetic. The options were really simple though he really wanted to fight. Listening to the options he would sigh and pick up one of the bodies, he wasn't being overtly careful though because they needed to be in some shape so that they could be interrogated by the authorities in Suna.
Once they were given to the Chuunin he would look at both Shin and Enrai to pop the question," So...was that anti-climatic for anyone else but me? That...made me sad to be honest. I wanted to actually fight. Ah well. Always next time right?" seeing as the group would be heading back to Suna, Hoori choose not to say anything unless spoken to or a conversation started. When they got back to the village he would let Shin do the explanations for the mission before taking his pay and heading back to the inn. Sometimes he wondered why he got out of bed that day.
