(Flash Back) The Love Of Rayne
Sun Sep 19, 2021 3:51 pm
- Spoiler:
- Zeal sat quietly on top of the tree listening to the rain.
The rain has always calmed him even as a kid but he needed it even more, especially since
the water reminded him of…
Her.
He knew that their love was forbidden and not made to last.
But he never could have guessed it would end so deadly.
---
The day he met her had started like any other for the 20-year-old named Zeal Senju.
“Come on, Zeal! If we’re late your dad will have our necks,” his cousin, Asahi Senju, said as
the two were hastily walking down the path in their small village, River village.
Zeal sighed. “I don’t know why that old man is calling us anyways. Half the time he acts like
I don’t exist even though I’m his son.”
Asahi shrugged and said, “I have no idea what he wants with us. I just know my mom told
me that he said it was urgent so I’m not taking any chances by making Uncle wait.”
Zeal nodded in agreement and just silently followed his cousin hoping that whatever his
father wanted it wouldn’t take too long.
Zeal belongs to the Senju Clan, one of the strongest shinobi clans in the world. With a
reputation like that being a Senju came with a lot of weight and Zeal has always felt that
pressure growing up especially from his father. As the oldest son in their family, he knows
his father had high expectations for him as a ninja and Zeal knows he failed those
expectations miserably.
At his age, he should have been a high-ranking ninja that was at the level of Jōnin but instead
he was at the lower level of genin. He was also expected to be producing heirs at his age
since Senju were expected to secure their legacy as early as possible just in case something
happens to them on a mission but Zeal didn’t have a wife much less a girlfriend.
He can feel his father’s disapproval in the way he would look at Zeal with disappointment in
his eyes and the side comments he would make about him but most of all he can feel it in the
way his father no longer makes the effort to be a presence in Zeal’s life.
When he was a kid, Zeal and his father actually had a decent relationship. His father would
take him on weekend trips away from his mother and younger sibling to teach him about
chakra and different abilities. Zeal didn’t find the trips very exciting but he still looked
forward to them since it was the only time where he and his father could bond.
Their relationship had a drastic change when Zeal became an academy student and he found
out that he wasn’t as skilled as many of the other students. His father must have realized that
he couldn’t mould Zeal into the next great leader of Senju early on so he became quite distant
from his son.
Suddenly, he was broken from his thoughts when his cousin stopped walking and said,
“What the hell are they doing here?”
Zeal looked up to see what his cousin was looking at and instantly saw what it was.
In front of Senju’s main family building was a group of people standing in front of it and
they stood out with their bold black hair.
A few members of the Uchiha Clan.
Zeal was surprised to see them here since not only was this Senju’s part of the village but
even with being one of the strongest shinobi clans in the world as well, the people were quite
isolated in their part of the village and he rarely saw any of them. Zeal might not be familiar
with the people of Uchiha but since he was a kid he knew that Uchiha were the rivals of
Senju and the history between the two clans was a long and bloody one. Dating all the way back to or even before the hidden leaf village.
One of the biggest unspoken rules of the Senju Clan was not to become friendly with any
Uchiha.
They were the enemy so Zeal made sure to avoid any of his classmates that were Uchiha
when he was in the academy.
“I don’t know,” Zeal finally replied to his cousin.
Without another word, the two ninjas began walking towards the building but both Zeal and
Asahi were alert and prepare for a fight if one occurred (Zeal hoped that didn’t happen since
he didn’t like fighting if he didn’t have to, another reason he didn’t make the best ninja).
Once he reached the front of the building he got a better view of what was going on.
His father was standing on the steps of the Senju building looking towards the group of
Uchiha standing across from him.
“Think about what I said, Dai. It would benefit you and your clan to comply,” an older
black-haired man that was standing in front of the group shouted towards his father.
Dai Senju, his father, already looked upset but hearing those words his eyes narrowed and he
hissed out, “Get off my property, you damn Uchiha or I’ll make you leave by force.”
The older Uchiha raised his hands in a non-threatening gesture and simply said, “I just came
here to deliver the message not to fight”, then he turned around to the group, “Okay
everyone! Let’s go.”
With that everyone that was standing there started to move and head in the opposite direction
leaving.
Zeal who was standing there watching the whole thing and tried to see their faces but everyone
was leaving and had their backs to him. He saw mostly men but he saw one petite figure that
must have been a girl with long black hair.
Curious, he tried to get a better look at her but as quickly as he saw her, she was gone in the
forest with the rest of her clan.
Zeal finally turned to his father who was looking angrily in their direction but once they were
gone he turned his head and noticed Zeal and Asahi.
“Meet me in the main room,” his father said and walked back into the building.
He heard Asahi sigh next to him before walking up the steps to the building.
With Zeal following closely behind, the two walked through the building until they reached
the main room where his father was already sitting with his eyes closed, most likely
mediating which he did after being in stressful situations.
Zeal and Asahi quietly sat across from him and bowed their heads in respect waiting for
when his father acknowledged them again.
After a minute, Zeal’s father let out a deep breath so the two men looked up at him.
“Why were so many Uchiha outside, Uncle? Is something wrong?”, Asahi asked right away
not wasting any time.
Zeal turned back to his father curious about the answer as well.
His father sighed. “Apparently the Uchiha believe that a large piece of our land belongs to
them because it was stolen from them centuries ago and claim that they want it back.”
“Seriously! Why now? Those damn Uchiha don’t do anything unless there is an ulterior
motive, this can’t just be about the land,” Asahi stated.
The older man nodded looking tired for the first time in a while and said, “I agree, Asahi.
You’re clever, must be why you’re Jōnin.”
Zeal tensed hearing those words knowing that while that comment was made towards Asahi
it was truly for him.
Yet another dig.
“What are you going to do, father?”, Zeal asked, entering the conversation and ignoring what
he said.
His father looked up at him in the eyes, acknowledging Zeal for the first time in weeks and as
usual, his eyes lacked any emotions.
“Obviously we aren’t giving them one piece of that land, it has been in our family for
centuries no matter how we attain it so it is Senju land before anything else,” his father
paused seeming to think about what he was going to say next, “if necessary we will fight for
this land, so I need you both to be prepared for that.”
A heavy silence fell over the room as Zeal took in what his father said.
They could be going to war.
While battles between the Uchiha was nothing new to their history it has been decades since
the last one since both groups have overall left each other alone but this dispute about the
land could start a conflict for the first time in a long time.
“That was all I had to say now, you’re both dismiss,” his father said then closed his eyes
again.
Zeal and Asahi stood up and mumbled their respects as they left the room.
Once outside, Zeal looked at Asahi and said, “Well that was intense, do you think we are
actually going to have to fight the Uchiha Clan at some point?”
Asahi chuckled but it sounded nervous before saying, “Even with our family history I’m sure
the Uchiha Clan don’t want to fight as much as we do so most likely this will be taken care
of politically than through physical means.”
Zeal nodded. “I hope so. You know I avoid fighting even on missions, I use it as the last
resort.”
Asahi patted him on the arm and nodded as well. “I know, Zeal. You’re much more a lover
than a fighter, been that way since we were kids.”
Before Zeal could respond his cousin continued, “I have to get going since I was assigned an
S-ranking mission tonight so I have to prepare much earlier than usual but we can talk some
more when I get back.”
Zeal’s eyes widen a bit since S-ranking was rare even for Jōnin so that must mean this
mission was extremely dangerous.
“S-ranking?! What kind of mission is it?”, Zeal asked, which was technically against the
rules but Asahi has never had any problems with telling him about missions.
Asahi shrugged and nonchalantly said, “The Organ Stealer has killed another Jōnin, so the
higher-ups have finally classified them as an immediate threat at the S-tier level and they
want a couple dozen of us tonight to track them down.”
Zeal felt a shiver go up to his spine at the mention of the Organ Stealer.
The Organ Stealer has been a mystery haunting the village for the past couple of months
now.
While most villagers only knew about this killer through rumours he has heard details of this
person’s killings through Asahi since Jōnin has been getting reports on the deaths for months
now.
The Organ Stealer was no joke.
Zeal let out a small laugh trying to hide his worry and said, “Well, just don’t get yourself
killed, Asahi. I need your ugly mug around so girls will at least think I look decent compare
to you.”
Asahi laughed. “Don’t worry, I’m not worried. I’m a skilled Jōnin after all, you’ll see more
of my ugly mug for a long time.”
Zeal wanted to say that all the previous ninja killed were skilled as well but he just nodded,
hoping that his cousin would be okay since Asahi was not just family but his best friend
since they were small.
Asahi says one last goodbye and Zeal watches him walk away with all the confidence in the
world like he wasn’t about to do a mission that could get him killed.
‘That’s the type of ninja that would make your father proud, not you,’ his mind whispered to
him.
Zeal shook his head and turned around to head home.
---
Later that night, he ate dinner with his family (minus his father as usual), played with his
sibling for a bit and chatted with his mom before heading to bed.
Now he was staring at the ceiling trying to fall asleep but his thoughts were too loud, of
course worrying about Asahi’s mission tonight but also the possible war that could happen
with the Uchiha Clan.
While Asahi was doubtful it could happen he knows that his father wouldn’t bring it up
unless it was close to becoming reality.
Zeal knows his father will expect him to fight if the war does happen.
But Asahi was right, he was more a lover than a fighter, he only became a genin to appease
his father and luckily D and C rank missions didn’t require much fighting but even when
they did Zeal would only use his abilities to save or protect someone.
Zeal quickly sat up realizing that he wouldn’t get any sleep at the moment and decided he
would head to one of his favourite spots to think.
Zeal quietly tiptoed in his house not wanting to wake his mom and sibling heading to the
front door.
He hastily put on his shoes and opened the door instantly met with the cool summer air.
Zeal would usually pass by Asahi’s house to come with him but he was gone on his mission
so Zeal would just go alone.
After a 15-minute walk, Zeal could finally see the spot.
The lake.
When Zeal was thinking too much, he usually liked a rainy day to help calm his nerves but
during dry summers like this one, he would head to the lake since he liked looking at the
water.
As Zeal stepped onto the dock he began walking to the end of it only to realize that he wasn’t
alone.
The person was still too far away for him to see who it was since it was dark and they were
sitting on the edge.
‘Odd, usually no one is out here except for me and Asahi this time of the night,’ he thought.
Zeal kept walking towards them only to see long, bold, and black hair.
Zeal stopped again when he realized who was sitting on this dock.
An Uchiha.
Zeal’s first instinct was to leave and pretend he never saw them but that plan went out the
window when the individual sitting at the dock turned around.
It was a girl that looked around his age.
She was beautiful.
Zeal was so taken back by her beauty that he almost missed her words.
“Oh, sorry. I didn’t think anyone would be out here this late,” she softly gasped, “I’ll just go
now.”
As she stood up to leave, Zeal felt a bit panicked at this girl leaving so he quickly said, “It’s
okay! I come here sometimes as well, I don’t mind the company.”
She looked at him with wide eyes for a minute before giving him a soft smile and nodding.
As she sat back down, Zeal sat down next to her but not too close as to make her
uncomfortable.
“I’m surprised I have never seen you here before, I come here almost every other day with
my cousin,” Zeal said, the unspoken question hanging in the air.
The black-haired girl must have picked up on the question since she replied, “I used to come
here when I was young but I don’t come these days since I’m rarely in the village so that’s
probably why you never saw me.”
Before Zeal’s brain can catch up with his words he ends up nodding and saying, “Right, that
makes sense you wouldn’t come here often being from Uchiha.”
He instantly regrets his words when he sees her tense but she quickly relaxes and says, “So
you know I’m from the Uchiha Clan, huh?”
‘Idiot! She probably thinks you’re weird now, great job,” his mind scolds him.
But the girl is still watching him with a soft smile so she must not be too freaked out.
Before Zeal can speak again, the girl surprises him when she says, “Well, I guess it also
makes sense that you would know I’m from the Uchiha Clan seeing you’re from the Senju
Clan.”
Zeal feels himself pause since he realizes he’s been caught.
No longer were they two random individuals having an evening chat by the lake but instead
they were Uchiha and Senju.
Enemies by birth.
Zeal should have taken that as his cue to leave but instead he said, “If you know I’m from
Senju, why are you talking to me?”
The girl shrugged and looked out at the lake. “I never had any personal issues with the Senju.
Everything I know about your clan has been told to me by someone else so why would I
judge you when I don’t even know you,” she turned back to look at him, “plus I could ask
you the same question. Why talk to me when you know I'm from Uchiha?”
Zeal felt himself blush since the shallow answer would be because he wanted to talk to a
beautiful girl even if she’s from a rival clan but the more he talked to her the more he wanted
to stay and know more about her.
Instead of saying all that, he just shrugged as well and said, “I guess I’m not so quick to
judge, same as you.”
She nodded.
Silence fell over the two again as nothing but crickets and the moving water could be heard.
Zeal finally broke the silence and said, “If you don’t mind me asking,” he began saying but
paused when he realized something.
“Wait, what’s your name?”
“Isn’t it Uchiha scum to all you Senju,” she said, turning to look at him with a serious face
but when his eyes started to widen, she burst out laughing.
“It was a joke! Wow, your face was priceless,” she said, still laughing.
‘She somehow looks even prettier when she laughs.’
The Uchiha girl finally caught her breath from laughing so much and said, “It’s Zoomie,
what’s yours?”
Still dumbfounded, Zeal stuttered out, “Z-zeal. Zeal Senju-oh wait, you know that.”
Zoomie gave another small laugh before saying, “Your question?”
Confused, Zeal said, “Huh?”
Zoomie gave a playful eye roll. “You said you had a question a moment ago.”
Suddenly remembering now, he said, “Oh yeah, my question was, what are you doing here
tonight? You said it yourself that Uchiha rarely sticks around in the village.”
“Well, as I’m sure you heard but many Uchiha came down here to show support for our
leader about his discussion of the land with the Senju leaders and most went back to the
village but since it’s been so long since I been here, my family decided to stay the night at a
friend’s house. I was lying in bed but I couldn’t sleep so I remembered this place and you
know the rest.”
“Same. I came here because my thoughts were too quick and loud,” he replied.
Zoomie looked at him curiously and asked, “What’s got you thinking so much?”
Zeal debated saying the truth since pretty or not, she’s still Uchiha, but he decided to just be
honest.
“My cousin went on an S-rank mission tonight. He's a really good ninja but I still worry
about him and,” he hesitated to say the next part but continued, “plus I worry about the
tension between our clans.”
Zeal didn’t dare mention what his father said about a possible war since that information
could create issues if given to the Uchiha.
Zoomie sighed. “Sorry to hear about your cousin but if he’s doing an S-tier then he should be
more than ready. Also as for the tension, I’m not that into clan politics but I know Uchiha
don’t want to go to war if they have to.”
Zeal was surprised that she just offer that information up but before he could ask more,
Zoomie suddenly stood up.
“It’s been nice talking to you, Zeal but my family would be upset if they didn’t see me in bed
if they checked on me so I have to get going.”
Zeal heard Zoomie’s words and panicked at the thought of her leaving since this could be the
last time he sees her since she lives isolated with Uchiha.
“Wait,” Zeal quickly said and Zoomie looked at him.
“I know this might sound weird,” he began saying.
Zoomie chuckled. “Oh no. That’s words you never want to hear, especially alone with
someone at nighttime.”
Zeal would have laughed at that as well but he felt too nervous.
“I wanted to know if you wanted to meet at the lake again?!”, he said in a rush.
Zoomie just stared at him for a second and Zeal was about to take back his words when she
spoke.
“Okay.”
Surprised, Zeal said, “Really?”
Zoomie shrugged again and nonchalantly said, “Yeah, why not? You’re interesting and make
me laugh which is always a bonus. The only thing is after tonight I’ll have to travel from my
clan so I won’t be able to come every night since it’s a bit far.”
Zeal, who is just happy that the black-haired girl agreed, just nodded and said, “That's fine,
how about we meet here again in 2 nights?”
Zoomie smiled at him and said, “Deal.”
After that, the two told each other goodbye and went their separate ways.
---
It’s been a month now since he’s been meeting Zoomie by the lake, the pair seeing each other
every two nights.
After he got over Zoomie being an Uchiha, their relationship and conversation grew and
came naturally.
Zoomie was funny, smart, and a great listener.
He still got enchanted by her beauty sometimes especially when he made her laugh and she
laughed loudly.
But overall, the two sort of became friends and enjoyed each other’s company.
During one of the nights, he should have seen it coming but somehow he was still shocked
when him and Zoomie ended up kissing.
When they pulled away from each other’s lips, and Zoomie gave him a happy but shy smile,
he knew he had fallen.
He loved her.
It would be crazy to most to love someone so soon but it just felt right to use the word love
when it came to Zoomie.
She just felt right.
Zeal remembers telling her the next time they met after the kiss that he loved her and instead
of running away or feeling weirded out, Zoomie let out a sigh of relief.
“Thank the heavens, you feel the same. I was planning to tell you the same thing but I was
worried you would be weirded out.”
They both laughed realizing that they were so much alike and Zeal kissed her for hours under
the moonlight.
That was probably the happiest night of his life but after that night nothing was the same.
At first, everything was normal, he kissed Zoomie goodbye with the promise of seeing her in
2 days, walked to his house and sneaked into bed.
It was when he woke up and went downstairs for breakfast that he realized that something
was wrong.
First, his father was sitting at the eating mat which was unusual since his father was always
gone by now for the day but not only that, his sibling and mom weren’t sitting with him
which made him and his father the only ones in the room.
Zeal was instantly on high alert knowing something was going on but he tried to be casual
and not let his father see his nerves.
“Where’s mom and Akila?”, Zeal asked, as he sat down at the mat across from his father.
But his father wasn’t even looking at him, instead, he was glaring at the ground looking
furious.
Zeal just sat in silence waiting for his father to speak.
“You continue to disappoint me, Zeal,” his father finally said slowly.
Zeal felt his heart beating fast now since in all these years his father has never admitted out
loud what Zeal always knew to be true.
His father must be very angry.
Before Zeal could reply his father spoke again and said, “Where do you go every night,
Zeal?”
Zeal was now full-blown panicking.
‘There’s no way-he could know right?”
Deciding to continue to play it calm he just shrugged and said, “Just out to clear my head I
didn’t tell you and mom since-”
“DON’T LIE TO ME, ZEAL!”, his father suddenly yelled, making him jump.
“I know you've been seeing that Uchiha girl! One of my men was down by the lake last night
and saw you with her! Kissing her like she isn’t the enemy! How could you be so stupid,
she’s clearly using you to get information about our clan and you fell for it.”
“No,” Zeal quickly said, “Zoomie and I never talk about clan stuff and politics, father. She’s
never once asked me those types of questions.”
“Well, I don’t care! She’s still an Uchiha and as disappointing as you are, you still represent
our name so I want you to end this fling immediately and never see her again.”
Zeal shook his head and said quietly, “No.”
“What?!”, his father said angrily.
“No,” he said louder and more firmly, “I love Zoomie, father. She’s not just some fling! You
don’t think I know I’m a disappointment to you! I see it in your eyes but Zoomie looks at me
like I’m…something…something that matters.”
His father gave a cold laugh. “How cute, you love her. Well, I guess it doesn’t matter since,
in the end, you’ll never be with her so I would count your days together.”
Everything in his body was telling him not to ask but he did.
“Why do you say that?”
The older man smirked. “I know you might have forgotten but that war that I mentioned a
few weeks ago is happening so Uchiha and Senju are about to fight and most likely your girl
and her family will be killed by the end of it.”
Zeal stood up hastily no longer being able to hear his father’s words and began walking out.
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you, Zeal,” were the last words he heard his father say before he left
the room.
---
After his talk with his father, he knew that he needed to talk to Zoomie as soon as possible
but the issue was he couldn’t enter into Uchiha’s part of the village especially with his father
confirming the two clans would be at war soon.
It took some time but he was able to find an old classmate of his that wasn’t from any
prominent clans to go into the Uchiha clan and deliver his message to Zoomie.
Need to talk. Meet at our spot.
Later that night, he was standing by the lake hoping that his classmate delivered the message
and Zoomie would make it here okay.
Now that his father knew about the two of them, they would never be safe and with the way
he was talking, Zeal wouldn’t put it past him to do something to her.
He was pacing on the dock, thinking too hard when he was broken out of his thoughts by a
whispered, “Zeal.”
Zeal quickly turned his head and felt like he could breathe again when he saw Zoomie, with
her long black hair glowing in the moonlight.
Before he could say anything, Zoomie ran up to him and threw herself in his arms.
He wrapped his arms around her and just held her.
She felt like home.
“I was so worried when that random person came and delivered that message to me,” she
said pulling away from him and he could see the worry in her eyes, “I thought something bad
happened to you.”
Zeal shook his head. “I’m fine, Zoomie but...there is bad news.”
Zoomie didn’t say anything just looking at him, waiting.
Zeal sighed. “My father, one of the top leaders in the Senju Clan river village, knows about us, Zoomie.
One of my clan members saw us together last night and told him I’m together with an Uchiha
girl.”
Zoomie frown at this knowing that this couldn’t be good.
“I know this is a dumb question, but how did he take it?”, she asked, softly.
Zeal let out a humourless laugh and said, “About as well as you think,” then he became
serious needing Zoomie to hear every word he said next, “I’m worried Zoomie. Not only that
my father will do something but also that you will be hurt in the war coming soon.”
Zoomie looked at him with wide eyes. “What war, Zeal?”
“My father confirmed that the war between our two clans will be happening and my clan is
planning on killing any Uchiha they see, my father pretty much confirmed that as well.”
The couple sat in silence taking in everything and realizing that their situation didn’t look
bright.
This was now bigger than them. Their love wouldn’t just be met with disapproval but could
get them both killed.
“Let’s run away,” Zoomie suddenly said.
Zeal was so taken back that he thought that he misheard her and asked her to repeat what she
said.
“Let’s run away, Zeal,” she said, hope entering her eyes as she looked at him.
“I want to be with you more than anything else in the world, Zeal. And I’m not letting my
clan or this war stop me from loving you,” she stated with tears in her eyes.
Zeal made quick work to wipe her tears and gave a soft smile.
“Okay, Zoomie. Let’s do it. My home is where you are.”
Zoomie gave him the most beautiful smile before kissing him softly on the lips

- Spoiler:
Zeal kissed her back and felt nothing but love.
He was making the right choice.
As they pulled away, Zoomie began talking again and said, “Okay, we should leave tonight.
If what your dad says is true then soon the village won’t be safe for us. We can head to the
Hidden Mist village, I have friends there that would take us in.”
Zeal nodded and stood up.
The couple kissed each other again and said quick goodbyes with promises of meeting each
other at the entrance of the village in an hour.
“Be safe,” Zeal said as he let go of Zoomie’s hand when they had to go in opposite
directions.
Zoomie just smiled and kissed his cheek before walking away.
Zeal walked to his house and felt his heart pounding knowing that if he was caught it was
over for him and Zoomie.
When he entered his house he was extremely quiet as he began putting clothes into his bag
and even put Shuriken on his belt just in case.
The star-shaped blades wouldn’t hurt anyone just keep them away.
After he finished packing he began leaving but couldn’t help but peek in his mother’s room
to see her sleeping alongside his younger sibling.
Zeal felt sad leaving them behind but he knows that his father at the very least will keep them
safe during the war and hopefully if things calmed down in the future he could return and see
them again.
Turning away from his family, Zeal opened the door and began walking to the entrance.
The night air was cool since summer was coming to a close but he felt nothing but warm,
knowing he wouldn’t calm down until Zoomie was in his arms.
Luckily his wish came true right away since Zoomie was already at the entrance waiting for
him with a bag on her back.
She smiled when she saw him.
“Thank the heavens you’re okay. I was worried you might have been caught.”
Zeal smiled back and held out his hand which she took and the two crossed the entrance
leaving the village the two have known their whole life.
Zeal thought he would feel sadder about leaving but he just felt excited to explore this new
chapter in his life with the girl he loved.
About 20 minutes later, the couple was silent not wanting to be caught even though they
were deep in the forest now when Zoomie suddenly stopped so Zeal looked at her.
“Someone is following us,” she whispered and pulled out a Shuriken from her belt looking
alert.
Zeal followed her and pulled out his blade.
They went back-to-back and looked around ready for anyone to attack them.
After a few minutes, when nothing happened Zoomie sighed and put down her weapon.
“Maybe I’m just hearing-”
Before Zeal could even react, a shadow passed between them but as quickly as it came it was
gone.
He thought nothing had happened but then he heard Zoomie let out an ear-piercing scream.
Zeal looked at her and was horrified by what he saw.
Where her beautiful black-coloured eyes use to be were gone leaving nothing but two empty
sockets that were bleeding.
Someone took her eyes.
Zeal didn’t even think as he caught her collapsed form as she continued to scream in pain.
Zeal felt tears stream down his face as he hugged the girl that he loved trying to comfort her
as she screamed but the worst part was knowing that he couldn’t do anything.
They were too far from the village to get help and Zeal didn’t know how to stop the bleeding.
She was dead within minutes.
Zeal felt like he was in a dream as he clutched Zoomie’s dead body not believing she was
dead when he was just holding her hand a few minutes ago.
When he was kissing her an hour ago.
When he loved her even right now.
Zeal was sobbing over her body when he heard his name being called.
“Zeal.”
Zeal instantly jumped up with his blade at the ready but paused when he saw who it was.
Asahi.
Zeal felt confused seeing his cousin since it has been weeks since he saw him so what was he
doing here-
Zeal felt dread enter his body and hoped that he was wrong.
“What are you doing here, Asahi?”, he asked slowly, his voice sounding rough from crying.
Asahi just gave him a soft smile. “I came to bring you home, Zeal. Uncle’s orders.”
“Were his orders also to kill Zoomie, you bastard,” he screamed, knowing it was Asahi that
attack them moments ago.
Asahi didn’t look bothered and just shrugged. “They were but I was more than happy to do it
seeing as I have been killing for weeks now.”
Zeal felt confused at first but then it hit him.
“Oh my god,” he whispered looking at Asahi with wide eyes, “you’re the Organ Stealer.”
Asahi smirked looking proud.
“You got it, cousin! And I must say that your girlfriend’s eyes have to be the best thing I have
taken so far,” he said pointing at his own eyes.
Zeal saw red.
---
Now Zeal sat on top of this tree trying to understand this cruel world.
He was betrayed by his cousin and father who killed the love of his life.
The rain continued to pour on him and he felt his body shaking.
He was sobbing.
When Zeal attacked Asahi he wanted to kill him but his cousin-no the Organ Stealer had
escaped.
After a few minutes, Zeal calmed his breathing and jumped off the tree feeling his feet hit the
wet ground.
Zeal now felt nothing but rage as he walked through the forest with only one destination in
mind.
The Hidden Mist village.
He would do Zoomie’s original plan and go there.
He will train there and get stronger as a ninja.
Because even if it killed him he would kill the Organ Stealer.
Determined, Zeal began walking. As not only did Zoomie Uchiha die that night so did Zeal Senju and Rayne was born.

Approved, Ghost has told me in DMs that he is claiming increased power for mastery and trashing the remaining WC.
