I Didn't Sign Up For This! (IO)

It was a strain at first, but then suddenly there was no effort involved as the pulley became weightless. The spectral voice would once again sound off, applauding Loghain for his willingness to sacrifice himself for the sake of the others. Metal bars would appear between the wolf and the others, and the voice would once again offer up an unpleasant choice for Loghain. 

When presented with the options, he didn't even have to think about it. He pulled the red lever without hesitation, allowing the floor beneath him to crumble away into nothing. He already accepted that he wasn't going to get out of here when he was holding that pulley, and this was no different. While he could have pulled the green lever and left alone, he could not bring himself to allow the other two to struggle onward. He really did have the utmost faith in the other two, but he couldn't allow them to suffer any longer just so that he could walk free. "It has been a pleasure."

The wolf would suddenly become swallowed by the darkness beneath the floor as it all vanished underneath him. He just hoped that the voice would keep its word and allow the others to go...

Suddenly Loghain would wake up, covered in sweat and breathing heavily. Was it all just some sort of nightmare? He would find it difficult to go back to sleep and would instead process everything he could recall from his nightmare, which was admittedly little.
