Sign up to move up ((Ryuken))

A few long days past since the terrible incident at the academy building. The bomb that went off injured quite a few people; planted by a few terrorists whose identity still remained unknown till this day. A twist of events he surely didn't expect that day. No matter, as selfish as it may be, he was glad nobody he knew got hurt. Is this what would be expected? Life in a major village.
Jessie comes from a family with nomadic traditions; traditions that would have been honored still to this day if it weren't for the wars erupting from the south. It was the only reason why he and his family ended up so far north, away from it all. He's used to moving away from inconveniences, but instead he is now forced to deal with them and continue to be at risk so close to an area recently attacked. It was all so painfully new to him. He felt, chained. Much like those forced into a relationship, human or animal. This was how people ended up caught up in trouble that could have easily been avoided if one were to simply keep it moving. But not all bad things bare solely bad fruit. Perhaps, maybe Jessie could grow from this in a positive way; he could get to know how things worked within the shinobi system. He then started to remember the day he first arrived to Hoshigakure. Ever since he arrived, his first question after passing the almost intimidating grand village gates, guarding an even larger scheme of grand design and proportions were...
Just how does all this work?
Still playing twenty questions within his mind, he is seen walking towards a common information center for most shinobi, regardless of rank. His attire consisted of his usual average outfit. He wore a black short sleeved shirt, a pair of black jeans, a pair of black sneakers, and thin blue jacket over his black shirt. His shinobi headband was tucked within the inside pocket of his jacket. He never liked the attention it brought, he never liked too much attention at all. Always by himself, without any bother to anyone else. Life as a nomad was a good fit for him. But now all this, being on top of another, crowds left and right, it's all gonna take some getting used to for. Jessie.
Reaching the entrance to the door, he enters and makes his ways towards the "Main Billboard", so to speak. It was where the sign up forms for all the chunin interested in taking the exams that were coming up in a few weeks. Posted up on the wall for all to see. If Jessie wanted to truly know how the shinobi system worked, he was gonna have to start from the ground up. That mean't participating any almost everything that was related to his rank. Missions, training sessions, meetings with higher ups if given the chance, grunt work, all of it And with those tedious thoughts, he started to grit his teeth at the thought of how long it would take for him to reach a point where he could begin to actually make sense of it all. Fortunately for him, Jessie wasn't that impatient. Even he knows things never happen over night, unless you make it. If that were possible right now, Jessie wouldn't need to sign up for the exams, for he would already be quite a powerful person. 'One step at a time', he reaches the board and looks downwards to the right to see a long white fold able table, with only one pencil. He reaches the pencil so he could write his name on the board.

Okabe had only just started his career as a shinobi and was already dreading his next mission. He was tasked with looking for a lost cat and was ordered to start bright and early the next morning. The teen was glad he had some sort of income, but all of this menial work was boring at best. He wanted something more than the life his parents had.
With his current income Okabe could barely afford the little hole in the wall apartment he lived in. How his mother and father were content with such a life was lost on him, but he knew he could do better. He just needed to do something flashy to get the higher-ups to notice him.
He wandered around town thinking about how to make himself stand out when he noticed signs advertising the latest chuunin exams. A stupid recurring event in Hoshi involving children beating each other silly for the amusement of the village. It was barbaric in nature but that type of stuff spoke to Okabe. A place where thrashing some idiots around would actually get him rewarded? It was perfect. If he managed to win he would get the promotion he was looking for. The win win situation made it a given that he had to sign up.
The black haired teen sauntered his way through town towards the message board with the sign up sheet. He only stopped his stride when he saw someone else approaching the board before him. It was a man, a little older than himself and almost as tall though this man's body seemed more in proportion. The stranger must be a genin as well if he was signing up for the exams. Good to see all the genin in town weren't just ambitious brats. At least he wouldnt be the only adult beating up on the younger generation.
Having basically no sense of discretion Okabe would pipe up a little too loud and basically shout as he got closer, "Yo you, at the board! You also just here trying to knock some runts' skulls?" Clearly showing no regard for the attention he might draw.
