Was it all... A Trick?

The swordsman made note of the female vampire's words before he saw how she formed a couple of hand seals which then summoned multiple chains of ice after slamming both her hands on the ground, all heading towards the creature in the center of room. The creature dodged the first two, implying that whoever or whatever they would be facing wasn't to be underestimated. However, no matter how agile the thing appeared to be, it couldn't avoid being hit by the next salvo. Seeing the nature of the woman's attack only confirmed his earlier thoughts from when the two of them witnessed her manipulating the snow. 

Once it looked like the beast had been pinned down the young lady started scanning her surroundings, possibly hoping to find a way out. It appeared Suika successfully came across an exit that would alllow her to leave the room as she began to run into a certain direction while telling both Cid and Grey to take care of things while she went searching for something else. "What do you say pal? Fancy finding out how rusty you are?". With a smile on his face the Hyuuga formed a couple of hand seals of his own, infusing the sword given to him by the Pirate before releasing five waves of chakra in order to cut down their targets.

With his lilac eyes of the Byakugan still active Grey was able to follow the Yuki's movements for a little longer, noticing how the kunoichi created another set of ice spears which impaled the chasing vampires before turning each of them to dust. Now that the prodigy knew she wouldn't be needing help anytime soon he could focus on his own battle, cutting down as many opponents as possible. By then his friend started spouting a massive stream of hellfire towards the left side of the room, creating a song of ice and fire as the flames catching both cultists and creatures inside.

Screams of agony as the licks of the flames would burn their enemies alive, effectively leaving nothing more than skeletons behind. It was all the Hyuuga needed to pick up the pace, confirming he'd be taking the other side of the room. One of the remaining creatures came running at him, enraged by the fire and having lost all common sense for as far they still had one. Firmly grabbing the blade with both hands the swordsman swung the weapon downwards, cutting through it like a knife through butter. 

Using the momentum to his advantage the martial artist dashed at another one, unsheathing his blade powerfully, the only intention in his heart to kill the opponent. "Another one bites the dust". With his sword still unsheathed Grey then condensed a ray of chakra that would mimic the weapon’s edge in shape, extending the blade and surrounding it with a dense white color covering both the weapon's edge and the extension. Those caught in its path soon found out what it meant to experience the prodigy's rage when fighting angry.

Holding the sword in his left hand the youngster then jabbed it forward, piercing through a vampire's body before it crumbled down. Swinging the weapon once more the man created a semi-circle in front of him before having it expand outwards, the ones coming into contact with the attack receiving immense damage to their person. Then the Hyuuga's force of his weapon would swing tears through the air, sending a wall of force from its tip, the formation of the wave effectively producing a loud cracking noise strangely akin to a dog's bark.

Putting away the sword for now Grey decided to use some of the famed Gentle Fist techniques in order to take care of the rest of them. Starting off he fired four consecutive air blasts from the palm of his hand, each projectile launched towards a target. The Hyuuga continued by releasing a palm thrust with his arm, shooting a vacuum shell which traveled at one of the creatures, sending it flying backwards after being impacted with the attack. The martial artists executed another palm thrust, shooting out a vacuum projectile which then broke and sprayed out metal senbon of compressed air.

The creatures still standing would be finished off as an explosive dome of chakra was shot out, the blast's concussive force taking care of the rest. Assuming Cid had also finished things on his end the Hyuuga suggested checking how Suika was doing. Entering a room the two men finally found her, the smell of blood filling the space. "What happened here?". Before the woman could give him an answer the place began to fill up with smoke, his throat burning and vision blurring only for the darkness taking over and the man passing out.

Waking up the swordsman found himself back at the port in his home town ln the Southern part of Fire Country. "So it was a dream after all", or was it? Perhaps whatever happened would have been more than just a nightmare, the Hyuuga only able to return after the events taking place had been taken care of. Grey stared at the sky, his left hand reaching out almost as if he expected to feel the touch of hers once more. "Sunagakure, perhaps I'll have to pay you a visit". With a smile on his face the Hyuuga stood up, looking for Cid to find out whether or not he still had a wooden peg.

Cid watched as the vampire woman use some sort of jutsu to produce freezing chains that appeared to be made out of ice. They quickly launched at the Jashin priest. Despite his strange appearance, he was rather quick and able to evade somewhat. Of course the chains were unrelenting and did in fact catch him, dragging him down to his knees, and then finally down to the ground and locked the motionless. She was very talented, and then with a quick burst of speed she would leave for the door in the back of the room. She intended to search for the victims of these vile beings, which Cid thought was commendable. When asked to clear out the room he would gladly accept. Such orders were something he would happily oblige. Watching her movements caused Cid to grin. She was far more skilled than anyone he had dealt with, her icicle spears piercing the hearts of all of the vampires that tried to follow her. Mentally, he couldn't help but wish her good luck in finding the others. 

The seals that he figured Teeths must have telepathically instructed him to use burned in his mind. Weaving the seals effortlessly, Cid would then spout a massive stream of hellfire towards the left side of the room, making sure to avoid directly interfering with the ice chains of the vampire kunoichi. The immense heat of the flames would drastically increase the temperature of the room they were in, those cultists and creatures unfortunate enough to be caught in the flames screaming in agony as the licks of the flames would burn them alive, scorching skin down to bone. Pitch black flesh would crumble to dust, turned into nothing more than carbon ash. The burned remains of their skeletons would fall to the ground, no longer supported by any muscle or even flesh. The spider creatures on his side of the room didn't fare much better, their bodies popping from the heat like water balloons filled with bug innards. Cid never felt this much power coursing through him before, unsure of just what triggered it. Maybe it was this nightmare fueled hellscape that allowed him to tap into the the imp Teeths' Hellfire technique. Cid would shrug hoping that his little demonstration wasn't too distracting to the Hyuuga Swordlord standing near him. He would look over at his comrade with a grin. "Looks like your up. Don't wanna show you up or anything, so I'll leave that side of the room to you."

He would watch to see what his pal would do. It wasn't every day that they were in fights like this, nor was it every day that they could just let loose and do whatever it was they pleased. There were no laws here stopping them from executing all of these monstrous people. People that were willing to sacrifice innocents. People that were willing to kidnap a baby for some nefarious purpose. People that didn't deserve to be left alive. He would continue to spout flames like some sort of majestic dragon, burning any and all of the targets that found themselves on his half of the room. 

Once they had completely cleared the room of adversaries, with the lone exception of the gaunt leader chained to the floor in the center of the room. "Nice work, man! Had me worried I was gonna have to step in." Cid would tease, knowing fully well that the Hyuuga was more than capable of handling his own without assistance. 

The Pirate would quickly walk over to the immobilized cult leader, picking up one of the other cultists weapons. It was an ornate dagger, likely used in ritual sacrifice. Barely viable for any real combat, but still it had a sharp pointy end. Cid would stab it into the leader, but it didn't even seem to phase the man. Another thrust, but nothing. "Just what the hell are you?" Cid would ask, though the man would just smile and cackle, not bothering to answer his questions. Didn't the priest realize that he was bested? Didn't he realize that no matter what he did, he wasn't getting out of this? If the Hyuuga had any ideas, Cid was all ears. 

Unless they could think of something, they would wait to discuss with Suika. Perhaps she had something that could put this unholy priest down for good. And sure as heck she had been able to. Upon her return, she was the walking image of fury. Chakra and rage spilled from her like nothing that Cid had ever seen before. Her footsteps alone held enough power to crack the floor beneath them. And he thought the technique he borrowed from the imp was potent. Well, you know what they say. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Whatever it was that she did with the sacrifices, it seems to have robbed the man of much of his power. Perhaps realizing that these were his final moments, he would speak of their activities being in the name of some dark god. Some deity by the name of Jashin. Well, it didn't really seem like Suika cared about their religious practice. She only seemed to hold a rage, spilling out in a series of violent actions. First she crushed the old mans neck, followed by piercing both his head and heart with spears. Cid couldn't help be stare in awe at what he just witnessed. Honestly he should have known better, but he really didn't expect it to turn out like that. 

"Yeah, it does seem like its over now. If this is a dream, does this mean we wake up now, or?" With these words said, everything would once again fade to black. He would find himself laying face first in an alley, his head throbbing. This was the same alley that he had chased the figure through... was it all just a strange, alcohol induced dream? He would look down at his leg, praising the powers that be that it was flesh and blood. "HELL YEAH!" He would shout excited to not be missing a leg. Of course, he then had to rub his temples from the shouting. Nothing besides his head was sore or hurting, like he had some sort of wicked hangover or something. Standing slowly, he would make his way back to the tavern that he planned to visit in the first place. His gut would grumble, like he hadn't eaten in days.
