Continuing to slap and press his fingers against one another, Daiki was still in a joyous mood as he now found the cover story he was looking for. To pretend to be a family in order to travel through the gates of the capital, how wondrous. Well now, this was a gift if Daiki ever saw one, other than his research of course. "Mmm yes, our poor mother and her mental illness, a tragedy indeed. My nephew and adopted son, Daffodil. He was young, so very young when his mother died. How unfortunate we were. We've travelled far and wide and yet there was never any rest for us. I like it," Daiki said, keeping up pace with Grey and his performance. He knew it, he was a kindred spirit after all. He didn't quite know it but he could feel it and that was enough for him. Finally, somebody who wouldn't judge him for his interests and research. Maybe he wouldn't turn them into material in the future as he could probably get more use out of them. On top of that, it was simply nice to have some company while he explored new lands in search of said materials.
However, there was a flaw in the plan as pretending to be from a major nation might not go over so well since major nations have some sort of ID and credentials they'd have to provide to gate guards. At least for minor villagers, they might not care too much for identification and what not. Especially if they were travelling under the guise of citizens. At least, Daiki was. He was unsure of the other two but he thought it safe to assume his 'brother' was one but he wasn't so sure about his 'son'. "Yes, yes. That is fine and all but Konoha isn't quite the place we were staying in. It was a small country near Konoha named Grass. It is quite easy to confuse the two, isn't that right my dear child." Daiki had said, turning his head towards his dear 'son' still grinning from ear to ear. After he had corrected his dear child, the boy had asked what they'd do now and the answer was simple. They would now try to enter the capital of Haven Country, known as Hoshigakure. Before he could even move properly of his own volition, Daiki found himself in front of another young individual calling out to the three of them for some reason or the other.
Sure, they were loitering but he didn't think he'd draw any attention so quickly. It was a young child at that. Still, they haven't done anything wrong yet so maybe they'd be able to get through. The young one demanded their names, their reason for coming to Hoshi and their intentions. With his grin never wavering Daiki began to respond. "Oh hello there small child. We're a small family travelling from country to country. Just me, Doctor, my brother, Gray, and my adopted son, Daffodil. My name is Doctor and my brother's name is Grey. You see, we've come from a small village located in Grass country. Our mother was sick and mentally ill and we've spent most of our lives taking care of her until she passed on," Daiki said, with a sad smile. He was really getting into the story despite it not being true. "Our sister Cloud has passed on and we are taking care of her only son, my nephew and now adopted son. The only thing we seek is refuge in your fair village for a teensy bit of time."

Re: To a new beginning

Grey enjoyed what they were doing quite a bit, and liked it even more when the young man that he had just named Daffodil accepted the role instantly, and tried to put on a bit of a performance of his own. The performance was a bit subpar, but there was nothing that could be done about that at this point. There was no reason to call him on it, he was decent enough even though he was still young. You wouldn’t be able to develop such wonderful acting skills in a short time, so Grey just had to make sure to have the young man keep practicing. He would be good eventually. The ever eccentric doctor seemed to take his role up as well, but there was something a bit sinister about how he talked about the story of the mother passing away. Other than the slight sinister undertones the man had, there was nothing abhorrently wrong about his performance, and normal ninja would most likely not really care too much to dig into the backstory.
When Grey asked the young man to add a bit more to the story by asking if he remembered his birth nation, the young man nodded, but then answered Konoha. This was not quite what Grey had wanted, and he suddenly put on a face as if he was thinking really hard about something. Was there any way that they could make Konoha work? It was a really difficult challenge, one that the three of them were most likely not equipped to deal with, especially because it looked as if all of them had almost nothing to their names, just the clothing on their backs. Grey did have a little bit of money on him if he needed to grease the wheels a bit, so to speak, but they would need some sort of fake identification papers if they wanted to claim to be from Konoha, so he shelved the idea for now. As he was thinking about how to address this and tell the young man that they should choose somewhere else, Doctor stepped in and started speaking for him, saying that they were instead coming from a place next to Konoha, named Grass.
Grey quickly used one of his hands to shield his face and his next action from young Daffodil, and used his other to perform a quick thumbs up towards Doctor. Subtle, but not really. Grass was a country that was a little similar to Honey, although that was just the rumors, but at least if he described the weather or various places there, they would be similar enough to where no suspicions would be raised, especially because Grass was underdeveloped, and so a lot of the villages had little to no contact with each other, which only really helped them out. After they finished talking and making sure their stories corroborated, they then made their way to the walls of the village gates. Before they were able to get too close, however, a young man of the village walked forward and addressed the three of them. After the normal questions of who they were and what they were there for, Grey nodded along with the Doctor as he explained their names and why they were there.
After he was done saying his piece, Grey decided to speak up and address the young man properly as well. “Hello young man, my name as you’ve heard is Grey, nice to meet you.” Grey would hold out a gloved hand and a big smile, but it would matter not whether the young man wanted to give him a hand shake, as he knew that physical contact might be enough to kill you in the more wild of shinobi areas, so he would not feel offense. “As you’ve heard, our sister passed away and we’re here to hopefully stay for a bit instead of camping outside somewhere.” Grey shrugged, as he was used to ruffing it outside for the past, well months in all honesty. Luckily he was able to take a quick bath in a river before he started traveling here, but he was still pretty smelly, as everyone would be without proper access to clean running water and soap. “I’m also studying the medical field and it would be nice to see the library of a major village for once.” Grey said, obvious excitement showing on his face at the prospect of learning some proper jutsu.

Aroisu had no need to talk since he hadn't been directly addressed so after nodding in agreement to his father's declaration of their origins. Soon enough a young boy whom Aroisu could only assume was an Uchiha due to him wearing their legendary symbol came along to question them making sure to let Aroisu's family know his sensei was also near, not that Aroisu had distinguished him from anyone else. Letting the adults speak for him Aroisu simply stood there with a warm smiling completely prepared to not speak at all if completely necessary, after all a warm bed and some warm food were the only things really on Aroisu's mind at this point.

Yuuma couldn't help but hum in thought as two of the three of them explained themselves to his younger village member. Admittedly, there was a small bit of amusement that bubbled up inside Yuuma as the older man addressed Isemori as "small child". Not that it was untrue- indeed, Isemori was quite young. Regardless, he was a ninja, and the three of them appeared to be traveling civilians. They had indeed come a long way as well- all the way from the Land of Grass that Yuuma knew to be near to the land of Fire, having plotted a journey through that land himself. All of that made sense. The three of them were an interesting group; they didn't strike Yuuma as the typical traveler, but even his most keen observation doesn't reveal to him any indications that these three had ill intent.
His eyes would fall to Isemori, allowing the Genin to continue handling the passage of the three of them, though would be curious what exactly the younger villager would inform them of, presuming he allowed their passage. Yuuma kept a distance of only three meters to the side of Isemori, his hands still tucked into the sleeve of the opposing arm of the robe. One hand would rest in the symbol of the bird.
Speaking out at the conversation ran into a delay, Yuuma would speak openly to the three of them despite their involvement with Isemori. "I am most sorry to hear of your family member, and I wish you and yours the best of health. You have come an awfully long way, and I see no reason to deny your entry." Stepping forward, Yuuma would withdraw one hand from their grasp, revealing the single symbol he made with one hand while the other reached into his robe and retrieved a book. A leather-bound article with pages dulled by the sight of many a long day at the gate. Opening to the latest page, Yuuma would offer the book forward to the one named "Doctor" and rest a pencil in the middle of the pages. Along the right side of the page, there were blank spaces that left room to be filled in. At the top, the spaces would be labeled "Name", "Reason for visit" and "Arriving from". Each had been filled out by numerous people before them, though there was still room for each of them to sign in their information.
"If each of you would fill out a line, including the boy-" Yuuma paused long enough to nod to the youngest, "-I would be more than happy to allow your passage. Due to recent events, I encourage each of you to visit a local information center. Not only will that tell you places that you may rest, but it will educate you on our laws. Please be advised that ignorance of the law does not exempt you from its punishments should you be found in violation." Despite the rather serious wording, Yuuma held a friendly tone and expression throughout his explanation. To the Chuunin, this was just a simple formality that any reasonable person would have no issue understanding.
Giving each of them enough time to ask any questions they might have or make comments, Yuuma would patiently wait for each of them to fill out a line in the book before he would accept back and step aside, welcoming the trio to Hoshigakure.

"Thank you for your kindness stranger," Daiki would say to the other lad nearby the child, initially addressing them. He'd then witnessed the other person pull out a book of some kind. Daiki looked at it with intrigue before he watched the man open the book up to a particular page, handing it to him before explaining his demands. It turns out he would like to document who they were, what their reason is for arriving in Hoshi and the date and time of entry. This was all simple enough for them to do so he figured why not. Taking the book and the pen, Daiki found himself writing the name 'Doctor' inside of it and his reasoning for visiting a temporary shelter and today's date before handing it off to Gray that was near him and waiting. After he had written in it and all was said and done, Daiki would attempt to make his way into the village of Hoshigakure with his "family" in tow. This was going to be the beginning of a new life for him or so he thought. With everything conveniently falling into his lap, he couldn't help but grin wider than before, if that was even possible.

It seemed that there wasn’t really a large number of things that the trio needed for them to be able to get into the village. It was a bit surprising at first for Grey, as he thought that the larger villages would have much tighter security, but after a few moments of thinking about it, he figured it out. It was almost guaranteed that larger villages had plenty of elite ninja inside them keeping tags on the people within, especially visitors, they were probably being watched by an elite ninja right now. If they did anything unsavory, they would get taken care of almost immediately. Grey just nodded at this and then waited for a bit. His newfound buddy the Doctor quickly wrote his reasoning for entering the village before handing it to Grey, and so he started writing. His name was simply Grey, and he wrote down his reasoning for joining the village, which was mostly just looking through their medical knowledge and furthering his medical practice. He then handed it to the younger of the three so that he could write down his name and reasoning and they could head in. He was going to enjoy working in the village, and using their advanced facilities if they were able to. He also heard that this village had a wide breadth of knowledge. “Thanks a bunch for the quick and respectful service gentlemen.” Grey said to the two people who had let them in. He thought this would be a pretty interesting place to stay, especially from the stories he had heard about the people there being religious nutcases. He then headed into the village following Doctor.

"They really do give everyone a fair shot in Hoshigakure." Aroisu thought to himself as he was definitely surprised at how easily they had been approved but he was doing everything within his power to contain his excitement and simply keep a slight smile expression on his face instead of a Cheshire cat grin. All Aroisu had to do now was write his name and reason for entering the village and the only thing he intended on lying about from here on out was his name. So after writing Daffodil, he wrote that he wanted to enroll in courses at the Ninja Academy and understand Hoshigakure and its history, this being due to the first major village he was ever visiting he wanted to absorb as much as he could.
He would then hand the book back to the person who had originally given it to his father before bowing, however, he wouldn't say a word unless he was questioned or spoken to. Truthfully, Aroisu hadn't known much about this village but in his mind it was a good thing because he could get an opinion without biased and more importantly an opinion of his own volition, after all being a child he definitely had a craving for adventure but also understood the phrase, curiosity killed the cat. Thus, for now, he had no complaints about his newfound family and followed along with his father and uncle.

The young Uchiha was about to say more however, Yuuma had stepped in and had begun to take over. Not that Ise didn't mind in the slightest. The silver-haired Uchiha still listened though, and when he and his Sensei had been told about their sister’s untimely passing, Ise kind of felt like an asshole, but then again, he had a job to do regardless of his or other’s own personal feelings. There was a reason why gatekeepers were assigned to watch over the gates to the village. Even low-ranking shinobi knew that much. Ise with a smile nodded to his Sensei’s own words, feeling like he had needed to show his condolences to the three of them. However, all in all, they didn’t seem like they were here to cause trouble. As Ise’s Sensei had continued to take charge of the situation, The young Uchiha had watched carefully, seeing if there was anything that he should take note of -whether it was something he had missed entirely, or if there was something new that wasn’t brought up the first time.
Everything had seemed to be in the clear though for the most part, and the three travelers were allowed to enter Hoshigakure without any problem. Shortly after the three went past the gate into the village out of ear shot from Ise and Yuuma, the young Uchiha gave his Sensei a toothy grin and said, “I think that went pretty well in my opinion,” Ise started. “They didn’t seem like the type to cause too much trouble anyways,” Ise shrugged only slightly.
