Turnabout [Kenshin]
Thu Jan 06, 2022 8:48 am
Stability and strength echoed throughout Sunagakure, a fine silhouette among the shadows cast by the sand dunes that orchestrated itself among the hallowed land in the center of the Wind Country. The shadow of magnificent design produced a village symbolizing tranquility and dominance in the Shinobi World. Sunagakure was once a land that was owned by Kumogakure as a spoil of war - becoming a physical manifestation of the ruthless village's domination in the world; it possessed an absolute zero form of autonomy nor did it possess any will of its own. It was a superb paradigm in a way, showing how empires eventually fall and rot from the inside when there is no direction given to aid the land in maintaining stability and structure. After all, the power of land is from its people. When the hope of the common man is squandered and non-existent, inexorably, a land will rot from the innards and fall. Sunagakure was nothing more than a festering figment of the past, soon to become buried by the sand dunes and erased from the face of history. However, the shadow that once stabilized the village - reappeared in the form of the Ragdoll, forcibly seizing control of the rotting settlement and slowly, but surely wrenching it back into the once-proud hallowed land of Sunagakure. Many deaths and murders were needed to conduct such an achievement - as with everything that occurs in the Shinobi World, however, to be able to turn a village back into a bustling land that was once of the cornerstones of commerce in the rapidly shifting world of ninja wasn't something to scoff at. That was the reason why Tottori Hyuuga entered Sunagakure in the first place, desiring to see what true power looked like in the form of a singular village.
Only a few days have passed since the Hyuuga entered Sunagakure; it was quite different than all of the other towns and villages he took refuge in for extended durations. Primarily, due to the influx of Missing Ninja who search refuge in the village, Sunagakure created a structured catalog of what visitors can and cannot do and gave them an apartment to stay. Tottori didn't mind the rules of the village...it was much better than accidentally breaking a vague rule that only shinobi knew and getting punished for obviously not knowing said rule existed...he still thought his permanent ban from entering Kirigakure was extremely underserved but whatever. The other segment of Sunagakure that was rather interesting was the fact that organs of other clans were able to be sold and transplanted. As a Hyuuga hailing from Kumogakure's noble Hyuuga branch, the Hunter was taught repeatedly by his kin to look down on transplants and see them as revolting abominations of humanity. Despite his indoctrinations by his clan, however, he couldn't say that he didn't hold any interest in the concept of transplants now that he was free from the teachings of his kin. Logically, weren't transplants a common good since they bolster the power of a transplantee while simultaneously honoring the power and strength that the giver of an organ has donated. Organs being spoils of war also made sense to use since they would bolster the power of shinobi. Of course, organ trafficking was bound to be exploited at some point, but just like any practice in society - it would be to have some restrictions. Transplants...could have their rightful place in a shinobi village while also being tasteful.
Ruminations like those encircled the cerebrum of the Hyuuga as he approached the hospital of Sunagakure; he was introduced to the village by the Deputy Kage - Guren where he was given instructions to approach the Ragdoll, Kenshin Uzumaki in the hospital should be desire transplants. Tottori wasn't sure whether he wanted transplants right now, however, he wanted to ask some questions to the Ragdoll about how they function and additionally, how much his Byakugan costed. Soon, the Hyuuga would approach the front desk, kindly and calmly requesting to be in the presence of the former Kazekage,
"Hello there. May I request an appointment with the First Kazekage?"

Well, it didn't seem like the woman wanted to respond to him, what a bummer. Tottori would take his leave promptly.
