Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo] Empty Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo]

Thu Jan 13, 2022 7:55 pm
[Mission Info]

Someone would die today.

There was no inherent nor directly obvious reason to believe such a certitude, but the gears and inner workings of the world had already determined that on this day, blood will be spilled and another soul would leave the world, freed from its mortal coil. Unbeknownst to nearly all, said truth would betray what seemingly was supposed to be another peaceful day in Hoshigakure no Sato - Land of the City Blessed by the Stars. Such a day with absolute clarity in the clouds within Hoshigakure gave a false premonition of festivities and joyous things to come; even the Sage of Pleiades that reigned over the walls of Hoshigakure - known for being a cynical pessimist that could never enjoy the simplest of joys in life due to his inimical mindset - was not immune to being unquestionably entranced by the beautiful afternoon in Hoshigakure. Surprisingly, the understudy had a free schedule today; no emergency nor planned summons at the hospital, no affairs or rendezvous with friends, superiors, and acquaintances, but most of all - there were no missions assigned for him to do. Finally! A day without unexpected chaos and grueling tasks finally arrived!

But how long would this peaceful time last?

The inner cynic within the cerebrum of Enishi attempted to eat away at his joy from the core like a caustic, carnivorous mist...but he refused to feed into that side, this day - this chance - no, his only possibility for peace within the hectic tale of being a Chuunin stared right at him. He wouldn't let this opportunity escape from his very hands. So for today, the Jugo decided to head out to the outskirts of Hoshigakure - one of his favorite places to stroll around. The outskirts, due to being a rather unexplored area full of wildlife and nature was extremely underpopulated - hell, most areas in the outskirts did not house anyone at all. The understudy was an avid explorer of the outskirts, so he knew his favorite spot to arrive at - one of his favorite pastimes was bird watching, so arrived at an area that could allow for the perfect view.

Enishi arrived at a clearing that marked the beginning of a part of the outskirts. The clearing was about 80m in radius with trees of varying sizes surrounding the outside of the clearing, essentially being some sort of makeshift "arena" as weird as it sounded given that it was supposed to be used for bird-watching. Enishi entered from the south part of the clearing - in the 6'oclock direction. Inside the clearing possessed nothing like additional trees, environmental objects, or obstacles that would inhibit Enishi's movement or sight. With that being said, the Sage would quickly head to the center (max speed) of the clearing by walking forward, now being 40m from all edges of the radial area. It was supposed to be about time for the swans to begin migrating through this area in the skies...but seeing how not one arrived yet, it seemed that the understudy had some time just to look around to see if anything was happening until he could hear the swans from upwards.

Since the outskirts were a rather unknown and thus dangerous area to be around if one was "caught lacking", Enishi decided to dress in a similar fashion to how he would dress if he were in a mission. Regarding appearance, the Sage wore his usual clothes and equipment (as listed on stat page) as before, including Nise which he wore under his clothes which was basically his second skin at this point. His seals (as listed on stat page) would be in their normal areas under his clothes and Nise as well. However, the most striking part of his appearance was that Hiramekarei which would usually be in the form of a scroll was worn on his back in its bandaged state - looking at a big bandaged hunk of...something Inversely, his Tanto would be equipped on his right hip, and his other items would remain unchanged in terms of orientation. The Sage's Chakra Sensory, which was basically the same as breathing at this point would also be continuously activated in its five-meter variant, being able to sense any chakra within five meters of himself.

With that being said, the Sage - while enjoying himself by waiting for the swans to fly through the sky, would also stay vigilant for any possible threats, unaware of potential threats at this moment but ready to react if given reason.

Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo] Empty Re: Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo]

Mikumi Senju(NPC):

The thing about life was that it had no mercy for anyone, it didn't have sides or favorites, it was just a series of events someone goes  through and those could be described as good, or bad. This was especially true for the aging Senju, Mikumi. Life had been hard for her since the start but through blood and sweat she had been able to make a name for herself in her village Konohagakure, but life was like a unseen force fickle in nature and she in the end still lost everything she once held dear, her friends, her family, her husband that she didn't even utter the name of even in her thoughts. A broken torn women forced to live on, she saw no point in making or attempting to forge new connections, she just wanted to die.

Perhaps that is why she took up work in the Assassination business, a missing shinobi for five years she moved from target to target, there were few that could match her power, and fewer that she had to actually fight almost to the death to survive, but it wasn't like she felt joy in living, she just wanted to see her family again at the end of the day, but life goes on.

For about a week now Mikumi had a special assassination request, it wasn't any specific name but rather a kill order for a member of the Jugo clan, mmm Mikumi knew this clan well having faced one before, there level of Senjutsu made them nearly beasts on the battlefield and her encounters with them always ending up with more than her fair share of wounds, would today be the same or would she finally meet her fate? She didn't know but she had a job to do nonetheless and her diligence now lead her to the village of Hoshigakure, it had been such a long time and now she would bathe it's lands in someone's blood today, or her own.

It wasn't too hard to find a Jugo member, not as hard as she imagined. Spending time in the village the name of a Jugo member, Enishi reached her ear, the talks revolving around his actions from word of other shinobi's mouths were impressive and she did feel a tinge of fear, but not because she was suddenly afraid to die, but because she was looking forward to it but the unknown that was after death, did scare her a bit. Wondering the village for days and talking to managed to get enough information to put a face to Enishi, and by some divine providence as she was eating some sushi she could see the very same man matching the description of Enishi heading to the outskirts of the village.  She hadn't been in the village long herself but she knew the outskirts were mostly deserted and even the ones that lived there were hardly the abiding citizens type, it seemed today would be the day.

Following him, Mikumi stayed a good distance of about 15-17 meters, keeping him in her sights as she followed him into the outskirts, entering them she slid into hidden places to follow him deeper. Naturally as assassin she picked up how to eliminate her chakra presence so any shinobi worth their grain of salt would probably read her as weak initially. Finally he stepped into a clearing, Mikumi hanging back to watch him, it seemed he was waiting for something as he gazed up, she continued to watch him for a few moments but it was clear he didn't intend to keep moving, all the same Mikumi realized they were quite deep into the outskirts and nobody else was around.

No longer needing to hide, Mikumi stepped out, she was wearing a robe styled trench coat and a black top that  stopped just above her bellybutton, on her back was a black sheathed katana  exactly sixty eight centimeter. slanted across her back, she was wearing high black shinobi boots, "Good day isn't it?" Mikumi said taking  a final step as she was 40 meters away also arriving from the south and facing him but was moving to the 4'o clock position as the birds that she didn't know Enishi had came to see began flying upwards to migrate away from the battle that was about to unfold around them.

Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo] Empty Re: Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo]

Fri Jan 28, 2022 3:32 pm
The Sage of Pleiades' icy blue eyes scoured the skies upwards from the horizon, searching for any semblance of the esteemed Shiratori heading to the eastward region of the sky. He was about to lose hope for a moment since nothing came about at the estimated timeframe...but then finally, they arrived! Hundreds to thousands of able-bodied eagles soared through the sky and proliferated the horizon, nearly blocking off the sun's radiance if their bodies didn't automatically reflect light. Wings outstretched, most continued eastward to their destination, while some decided to land on the clearing, a few meters in front of the Sage - likely desiring a short rest before they needed to continue their migration...hopefully their "family" wouldn't fly that far to leave them behind. Enishi would let out a serene and relaxed smile as he viewed the mass hegira of the Shiratori that was a rather seasonal occurrence; to him, those birds were the representation of Hoshigakure's will. Proud, unashamed, courageous, and pure - virtues that every citizen and shinobi who took up the sword in Hoshigakure should take to heart. They were aerial creatures, symbolizing that they were not bound by mortal nor earthly constraints...their will and purity allowed them to soar through the skies and be the absolute hegemony of the food chain, just like how Hoshigakure was meant to be the hegemony of the Shinobi World. Well, as much as Enishi could hope. Nevertheless, seeing some of the proud eagles land and enjoy their rest while the rest continue their journey in sheer elegance made today worth it. It was moments like these that made life, a concept that was full of suffering, something that was worth pushing through. He didn't want this moment to end.

Someone would die today.

Suddenly, the Shiratori that were on the ground abruptly flocked their wings and rushed upwards into the skies - never to be seen again by the understudy. Normally, Enishi wouldn't have paid attention to the eagles simply moving away to continue their migration...but the way that they did it - so abruptly, made the Jugo believe that they were escaping something - no someone.

Someone would die today.

That same voice that he heard from the beginning of the morning as he woke up reappeared again. It was direct, violating, invading, suffocating...it was an omen. Enishi couldn't deny it any further, some sort of cruel fate would cause the death of someone. Judging by how the Shiratori just reacted, something - something oozing with the possibility of death was behind him...so slowly...but surely, he turned around. Turning his body around to face the entity violating the once peaceful atmosphere, the Sage of Pleiades saw it. A woman, fair skin, black trenchcoat, a black top that exposed her belly button, black shinobi boots, and a katana that was currently sheathed across her back, ready to be drawn at a moment's notice. This woman...there was no doubt that she was a shinobi, but the real question - was where her loyalties lied? A native shinobi from Hoshigakure? Impossible, no one but Enishi knew the route to the clearing, that he knew for sure. A foreigner shinobi from another village? Possibly, but why would they try to track him instead of someone else? An assassin could be a likely case, as the understudy had some notoriety for placing second place in the International Chuunin Exams from last year...but enough for someone to try to track down him regardless of allegiance? This was odd...

Someone would die today.

No, it had to be a misunderstanding.

But Enishi couldn't take any chances now; the Sage of Pleiades was at the absolute center of the clearing which was 80m in total radius. the woman entered from the southern part of the clearing, so she was 40m away from him at this point at the south. She spoke some intelligible words since you know...they were 40 METERS AWAY FROM EACH OTHER, there was kinda no way that Enishi could hear her from that far of a distance. So, to be respectful as well as calculative, once the woman finished speaking, Enishi would speed walk at a maximum speed ten meters in towards her, closing the distance to thirty meters in a nonhostile manner. Of course, if she tried to attack him during this timeframe, he would retaliate accordingly. This could just be a misunderstanding, but Enishi had to be rather forceful with her if he wanted to be absolutely sure that she posed no threat. But even still, he could feel that death had gained a sort of tangibility and was suffocating him right at this moment...

"It smells like bitch in here," The understudy spoke derogatorily - amplifying his voice with chakra so that she could actually hear him, "Speak louder the next time you desire to talk... Anyway, identify yourself. From where do you hail and hold your allegiances? For what reason did you desire to enter a secluded and unexplored area that only I know where to navigate, stalker-chan?" Seemingly uncharacteristic of him, Enishi spoke in a rough and direct manner, if she wanted to kill him, it was better to admit it so they could fight. Even still, a wry smile found its way on Enishi's expression.

He didn't want to fight her.

But deep down...he knew.

Someone would die today.

Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo] Empty Re: Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo]

Approaching as planned Mikumi would be a bit surprise as he turned around just as the birds due for there migration began to set off into the air towards their destination, upon his turn around she could feel the immediate unease of her presence and she stopped 40 meters from him as she already intended to since that was about the distance he turned around to look at her anyway, not the type of assassin that just pounces on her targets she remained calm, death came to all shinobi eventually so no need to rush it.

Looking at him she could almost recite the basic questions a shinobi asked themself when they believed they were in the presence of another shinobi, her look not really hiding the fact that she was and the blade only magnified that fact. Speaking to him she realized that maybe she was a bit too far as he looked confused. Mikumi reached into her right trench coat pocket as he began speed walking at a pace she could honestly say was going to give her a run for her money, she hoped this guy could give her the honorable shinobi death she wanted.

A ritual of hers she pulled out a cigarette and a red lighter, it was either her last smoke or a smoke for a man or woman she just killed, either way she took a long drag of it, inhaling and exhaling. As he stopped about 30 meters away from her now as he immediately replied by saying something smelled like bitch? What? Before she even got to answer he proceeded to interrogate her and ask where her allegiance was and more importantly why did she follow him. “Rude and you ask a lot of questions, luckily i'm a patient soul. One, I wanted to see where you were going, I have not been in Hoshigakure a long time, which leads me to saying i'm originally from Konohagakure but know I work for anyone willing to pay good funds, I’m glad I followed you it’s a beautiful place.” To die is what she meant as she took another deep breath feeling that he was about to attack with her next words “Secondly, someone desires a Jugo clan member body and you might want to look into that if you live since I was hired to kill you. I suppose we can begin trying to kill each other now. Nothing personal, just cold hard business.”

Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo] Empty Re: Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo]

Huh. This was interesting.

In a world filled with deception, manipulation, and the direst of cruelties able to be dished out towards anyone in the blink of an eye; it appeared that there were still some souls that possessed at least some capacity of honor. The tension between the enigmatic woman and the fierce understudy was enough to slice away at the thickest of threads - resembling a katana that was forged under the pits of hell. Neither party desired to move an inch from their position, Enishi taking the initiative and attempting to get under the woman's skin so she could accidentally reply to his provocation and divulge information about her heritage and affiliation, but it seemed that his vapid introduction was met with enough steel to erase any damage his initiation could have done. Instead, with the long smoke of a cigarette followed by the swift retrieval of the smoking object, the woman decided to identify herself on her terms. Originally, the enigmatic woman hailed from Konohagakure no Sato - quite a long way from Hoshigakure which immediately set alarms in Enishi's mind about her current village rank - or rather - a lack thereof. With her first statement, it was clear that she was a Missing Ninja - wandering around Hoshigakure for some sort of objective. But her second and last statement effectively confirmed the absent piece of information that added the icing on the cake. She wasn't just a Missing Ninja...this woman was also an assassin. Mikumi Senju - a former shinobi of Konohagakure - was assigned a contract mission to assassinate Enishi Kurosawa and retrieve his body.

Silence.

The Sage of Pleiades was not foreign to others wanting him dead; his original town ostracized and demonized him because of his clan heritage and for the fact that his missing parents were notorious bandits around the Haven Country, slaughtering many for money and a stable income. So naturally, many villagers wanted the Jugo's head - perhaps it was to rid the world of the mistake that was Enishi Kurosawa, or perhaps it was to avenge their brethren that could have died by the hand of Enishi's parents. Either way, the understudy became the scapegoat and center for all of the village's suffering; if the harvest season was particularly bad this year, then blame the bastard kid Enishi for it! A building burnt down? It must have been that bastard demon! Flooding season? That Jugo brat must have prayed for the village to drown this season! Every villager wanted Enishi dead, because of that, he wasn't fazed by the fact that the woman wanted him dead. However...

Had nothing changed over the past few years?

Was he doomed to live a life of being a perpetual scapegoat to be used for the gain of others?

Was that a life to truly live for?

The understudy possessed no answer, but he did know this: an enemy was in front of him. She respectfully requested a duel to the death; she put her life on the line to live another die...so Enishi would do the same, it would be shameful not to. "Don't suppose I can talk myself out of this, eh? Maybe in another life, we could be relaxing and watching the birds together." A small smile formed on Enishi's expression, slightly dismayed at the unfortunate situation taking place, that was the life of shinobi though. Exhaling a solemn breath while letting the breeze sway for a few moments, the Sage tensed, "Let's spin the roulette, our lives will be the bargaining chips." His smile, growing cursed, resembled a solitary barracuda.

Four sharp musical nodes escaped from the understudy's mouth at a sudden speed, his whistles replacing the handseals needed to perform a certain technique; such an action would surely confuse his adversary but it wouldn't necessarily raise alarms just yet. However, what would raise extreme caution would be that just after he finished whistling the fourth musical node - all nodes finished within the span of a split second - a single blackened senbon shot out of his mouth towards the assassin as if his maw was some sort of gun carrying a bullet. The senbon needle was fired in a completely straightforward line with no air drag, aimed directly right at the center of Mikumi's throat, attempting to cover the distance between them quickly to pierce its target. The senbon would be easy to pick out even if it was black, but what would be indiscernible was that the senbon was secretly laced with a dose of Enishi's poison - Somnolent Agent: Stasis, a fast-acting knockout poison that required skin contact to affect its target. The senbon, if Mikumi somehow got hit by it, wouldn't kill her, but it would be a matter of time before the poison would incapacitate her.

Enishi wouldn't simply stand and wait for her to respond however, letting the senbon travel a few feet in distance, the understudy would dash straight towards Mikumi at blistering speeds, trailing half a meter behind the senbon, attempting to close the thirty-meter distance between them even more so he could set up potentially battle-ending combos. Shortly after he began running, the jutsu that he whistled in exchange for handseals to activate would trigger. Rain began to pour throughout the area in a fifty-meter range, filling the ground and field with a water source for Enishi to utilize; it wouldn't hinder his vision in the slightest. This was Rain Tiger at Will, allowing him to create his own water source that Mikumi couldn't use at all.

With that, Enishi - while in his dash - would focus on his assassin, seeing what she would do next so that he could react accordingly.

Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo] Empty Re: Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo]

Mon Feb 07, 2022 1:43 am
Not a fan of being interrogated despite being obviously suspicious Mikumi spoke frankly and truthfully, no lies or misdirection of the truth, cold hard facts and what she felt was right. Between them silence was all but consuming besides the occasional drags Mikumi was taking of her supposed last smoke, she didn't know too much about Enishi but from what she found out he was practically hated, like a lot. She wondered what a single shinobi could do to earn the ire of so many of his own people? Yet again, it didn't matter to her one way or the other, but she wished things worked differently.

Brought back to attention with a supposed answer Mikumi took another drag while imagining watching the birds along side Enishi just as he spoke of, another life were they were not enemies, but allies. "Yes, that would be nice.." Mikumi said letting out a puff of smoke in the air, but of course reality was a cruel mistress. "Winner takes all." Mikumi finished his sentence as she could feel the beat of her own heart pound against her chest, the battle has already begun. Without a second wasted Enishi began whistling four distinct notes, Mikumi been around long enough to recognize whistling style handseals or something alike but either way for what jutsu, she couldn't tell so it was no use worrying about it yet but she was wary. More pressing was a split second later a black senbon needle was spit out, obviously with the location of it the shot was suppose to be so surprising that someone wouldn't expect it , but she was a assassin and that came in all types of ways to kill.

Taking a deep breath while moving her right arm overhead, Mikumi felt her muscles tighten as she felt her body swell with power and her legs felt like some weight had been lifted off of them, her mind became clear and more focus. Right arm moving, she would grab the hilt of her katana that had been on back, her arm bending awkwardly so that she could make one single swing motion from her back to around the front of her throat to block the senbon while her katana was still sheathed. Naturally it was never easy as the young man bolted right after the Senbon, she had little to no reaction time but that was fine, but then it began raining with was wetting the ground around them, she could use that. Continuing her swing she allowed the tip area of the sheathe to nestle a centimeter or two into the newly soaked ground as Enishi covered the gap between them even as she moved, gripping the hilt tighter as she put her foot up against a small part of the sheathe as she moved back in the midst of applying pressure onto it to slide it off, her other foot reeling back as well at the same time  to kick the sheathe back forward and right into the young mans face, proceeding to move back two, then five meters in the rain but she noticed the rain did cover a significant area and it wasn't going to.be easy to escape

(Summary: Countered the Senbon by activating Total Concentration via deep breathing to increase to, 150 speed(+25 Reaction speed) while swinging sheathed Refined Katana  downward following swing direction. overhead to throat to blovk it

It begins to rain and he closes in, uses that to her advantage by following her previous swing motion into the dirt the rain is soaking into now, nestles sheathed tip area a centimeter or two into it and applies pressure via foot to slide sheathe off of her katana, moving back while reeling foot temporarily just to kick it, right at his face for blunt weapon type damage.(40 impact/150 speed/100 health)

Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo] Empty Re: Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo]

With dire eyes and in the midst galvanizing dash, the Hawk of Hoshigakure watched his opponent with absolute vigilance as he continued his vicious rush; slightly lowering his speed during the beginning of his dash (let's say 60 Speed) to allow the black senbon to rush towards its opponent first while Enishi could stay a safe distance back, allowing him to observe the assassin's initial actions. By the time that the understudy was only about six meters away from his adversary, he would bear witness to the woman drawing her katana on the back with the hilt of her sword, before swinging it downwards in an overhead slash at blinding speeds to make the sword end up at the front of her throat in terms of elevation. The sheer speed of the slash would slam the senbon deep into the ground from the beast-like strength that Mikumi exerted, effectively blocking the senbon with the overhead slash. Enishi could barely keep up with the slash's speed with his eyes, but even he noticed that something was awry, the sheath was still on the woman's sword. A lapse in strategy? A misplay? Or was it possibly part of another stage of her plan? Nevertheless, the Sage's eyes were trained to see even in the slightest change in the battlefield - they were no Sharingan, but they were prowess incarnate. The Jugo viewed the tip of the katana's sheath being angled slightly towards the ground and the woman's leg arising from its stasis; whatever she was trying to do, it would be useless.

The moment the cloaked woman attempted to kick the sheath off of the blade towards the understudy and simultaneously to jump back to gain distance, Enishi - who was now five meters away from the woman as he used the time that she took to block the senbon to travel an additional meter, would glow a fiery red aura surrounding him an inch off his body - as well his chakra being duplicated and duplicated exponentially. He was releasing his natural limiters with the use of natural energy - Sage Mode: Suzaku. This fight...he would end it as soon as it started. Eyes blood red, Enishi's sight was only focused on the woman before him as the aura manifested into a cloak that shielded his entire body, easily breaking the sheath whenever it came to him due to the cloak's defense, but he wouldn't wait for the sheath to touch his cloak to spring into action. The Sage of Pleiades only needed to whistle thrice to activate his next jutsu in an instant, and he would do so; the moment the woman began to jump backward, was the moment she marked her grave.  Three meters behind and parallel from the Mikumi as she leaped backward, a single spear of earth burst through the very ground beneath the two. This technique was called 'Earth Flow Spears.' This was the jutsu Enishi activated with three whistle nodes through the gap in time that Mikumi would kick the sheath and begin to jump in the air. Due to this, there was still a time that Enishi could see his opponent to know where to place the spear on activation and let the jutsu do the work from there. The spear, upon creation, was a foot in radius and would soon lengthen to its maximum size automatically. Aimed in a 45-degree angle towards Mikumi's chest from behind, the earth spear would waste no time before elongating at breakneck velocity towards that area, soon extending to a maximum length of 4 meters. This would seem to be an easy attack to dodge, but when you break down the physics of the situation...Mikumi's chance of surviving the "surprise!" spear from behind him was near zero. She already was moving backward, so she was directly jumping to a spear that she didn't know existed, so there was no reason for her to react to the attack until it hit her...in which the spear only needed to travel a meter to hit her because she was already moving two meters backward from her leap. The only way she could save herself was to react after she was stabbed in a brutal manner through the chest, but that would be too late. Nevertheless, if there was some way that the woman could possibly avoid being struck by the earth spear that attacked her blind spot...which was pretty much impossible, the understudy would change plans accordingly. Otherwise, the spear would pierce through her chest and suspend her in the air like a morbid kabob, allowing Enishi to finish the job. The Sage would still be five meters away from her since he was still moving at leisurely speeds towards her and by that time, the sheath would have been destroyed by the cloak - but as soon as Mikumi was pierced by the spear...the Dread Knight emerged.

If the Sage created lives, the Dread Knight removed them.

Enishi sprung into duty, moving forward at maximum velocity in a galvanizing dash reminiscent of a bull (60 Speed to 180 Speed instantly, so a 3x speed buff in a moment in the eyes of Mikumi) towards the impaled assassin. In blurring fashion, Hiramekarei's bandages unraveled in a rhythmic ribbon, resembling the omen that the Dread Knight bestowed on the world. Grasping firmly the hilt of the released relic of Kiragakure with both hands - right hand above the left hand on the hilt - the understudy rose the weapon to neck level elevatio, reminiscent to how one would wind up a baseball swing as he ran towards the woman. Four meters away from Mikumi, Enishi's howled before swinging Hiramekarei horizontally before his adversary... 'Awakening: Glaive,' His mind only allowed a single belief, the massacre of Mikumi Senju; a brilliant burst of blue surrounded the Legendary Weapon, coating it in a shroud of sharp stored chakra, turning the unnatural form of the weapon into an azure longsword that was five meters in length and two feet in width. As Enishi swung the blade towards Mikumi's throat horizontally, it would expand to that length, the chakra shrouding the sword which turned it into a hacking blade saw that could slice through the intangible. As longsword soon met skin, Enishi made sure to make her death end quickly moving it across her throat before she could even register it.

Blub.

And soon, her head rolled off.

Enishi had completely bisected her throat and severed her head from her body in a relentless motion of deftness and expertise in murder. Her larynx and trachea dangled above the bubbling blood exposed to the world, as soon, blood poured from the stump that once held her head, covering all parts of her body. Her body, impaled by an earth spear and decapitated by a legendary sword, bore no rigor mortis - it was evident that Mikumi Senju had ceased living.

'Memento Mori.'

Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo] Empty Re: Solitary Barracuda [Hunter | Solo]

when u beat someone through houring:

[OOC: 48 Houring with the permission of the NPC'er]

Drip.

As the deceitful Dread Knight sprang into action anticipating an upcoming battle worth relishing in, he’d find himself to be rather perturbed to say the very least as he faced little resistance, as if the woman already accepted her fate. Without any sort of opposition from the hooded assassin, the earth spear was plunged and roughly sewn deep within her chest for her to be suspended in the air similar to a peculiar cruxification, before being swiftly cut down by the sheer expertise of the legendary sword of Kirigakure, wielded by her target - Enishi Kurosawa. Hiramekarei glowed a dark blue as it sliced and ruptured the arteries of the woman's throat, releasing her from her mortal coil as the blue shrouded longsword dissipated into nothingness, returning to its regular obtuse form. The fiery red aura surrounding Enishi disappeared upon command as well, his golden eyes resembling the incandescence of the sun reverting to their normal icy blue hue and non-slit iris. The Dread Knight reverted to the Sage of Pleiades, Enishi - not Enishi - regained ownership of his body.

The adversary's head - married with the ground - rolled with the wind, hemorrhaging violently with gouts of blood pouring out of the bisected head's stump, soiling the verdant grass with its impurities. The woman's eyes and face were covered by her bloodied hair, thankfully, but seeing such a grizzly scene of brutality...resonated deeply within Enishi. He was used to cruelty. Death was a concept that Enishi was familiar with. Bodies. Graves. Corpses. Mutilations. Death. He was all too familiar with the evils of humanity, but even still...he was never used to such a thing. But at the end of the day...

That's all that shinobi are - tools to commit atrocities.

The Sage signed up for a job tailored to murder others. There was no such honor in the act of killing others, no matter the circumstances. Though had the understudy not signed up to become a shinobi, then someone else would have taken his place. Someone beside him would have to live through death, suffering, and cruelty for the sake of their country. Perhaps the young man titled Enishi Kurosawa was a monster, but even still...at least he could give humanity a respite, knowing that he saved one person from living a life of murder and death by taking their place.

Looking down at the decapitated woman's head, he decided to at least preserve her body for better use for Hoshigakure, that way, her death would have served a purpose. He wondered whether the woman had any family. She said she hailed from Konohagakure; was she from one of the noble clans possibly? The understudy had no idea, but he had the sudden urge to at least donate her body to Konohagakure. At the same time however, she was a Missing Ninja. She betrayed her village for her own desires. Perhaps she had no village to turn to because of that, forced to turn to a life of killing and murder to live another day. Enishi emphasized with that, as he was a vigilante for many years before arriving to Hoshigakure, killing the scum of the earth to protect the innocent within the violent Haven Country Borders. A pang of guilt released from the understudy's soul...

Maybe in another life, they would be great friends.

Soon, rain fell.

First Shiroyasha Uchiha, and now this woman. Two people died because of Enishi Kurosawa during his time in Hoshigakure; those lives weighed deeply in the understudy's soul, holding an immeasurable weight within the psyche of the Jugo. The rain nearly blinded his vision, but it did not blind nor dissuade his desires.

He would honor the woman that tried to kill him.

Grabbing a sewing tool and stitches from his Weapon Pouches, he grabbed the suspended and wet body of the assassin before laying it on the ground, right under her decapitated head. Then, he went to work - sewing the head back into place, putting some stitches and strings around her throat to tighten her head back to normal...that way, her death wouldn't be sullied. It took a few hours to perform such a grizzly task, but he didn't care, the understudy valued her life. The rain washed away her blood and made Enishi's hair unfixed, uncaring about such a subject however, he was at least somewhat relived that her body looked normal and clean - honoring her life to an extent. Something was dropped from her trenchcoat in the process however, her info card. "Mikumi Senju..." He unintentionally voiced out. So he was right, she did hail from a noble clan in Konohagakure, the Senju - a clan centered on the manipulation of Wood Release.

Unwrapping a Corpse Storage Scroll and sheathing Hiramekarei on his back, he would seal her body in her scroll in a means to preserve it. It was nighttime, veiled by the thundering rain. Walking away from the scenes, an unreadable expression formed on Enishi Kurosawa.

"I'll honor you, Mikumi..."
