Taking time away from his office, Guren stood atop the teeming walls of Sunagakure. They were sturdy, but beyond just their fortification they offered a certain level of beauty to them. For at their peak, they opened a window to see a different view of the Sand Village. One that Guren couldn't see from the spire. One that Guren hadn't seen in quite some time. It had been awhile since he had assigned himself to any patrol duty, so he didn't have a reason to venture out to the village boundaries. But as the busy day died down, he finally got a moment to himself. Typically, he would make his way to his favorite restaurant and enjoy a light bite to eat. On rare occasions, he'd spend time in the library researching and learning of the wonders in the shinobi world. But today, he wanted time for reflection. He needed to clear his mind and devise a plan for the organizational structure of the village. But to do that, he needed some inspiration. And what better motivational agent than seeing it in its glory?
The light breeze wisped the curtails of his yukata, engaging them in a soft hearted dance. The ends of his braids would perform a similar motion yet slightly stiffer. But the expression on his face along with his stature remained steady. His mind, deep in thought. The first that he contemplated was centralized on the highest positions that were now vacant: Deputy Kazekage and ANBU Commander. With the void created by the loss of his friends, Sunagakure's hierarchy was in a vulnerable spot. Naturally the first few candidates that came to mind were among the most tenured and proven members of Sunagakure who didn't already have dedicated positions: Seb, Ibari, and Souji. Seb, his best friend and a worthy accomplice and adversary. His abilities sharp, loyalty undying, and demeanor jocular. Truly charismatic and fit for Deputy Kage. But his interest in the ANBU would also yield a suitable suitor for the ANBU commander position. Ibari, a long time veteran of Sunagakure and Kenshin's own right hand man. He would have whatever position he wanted, should he return to Sunagakure. And lastly, Souji. A boy who Guren did not have a relationship with, but his reputation spoke for itself. The Chinoike was curious to see what his level of resolve would be when Ibari returned with him.
In any case, as Guren pondered these dynamic changes he felt a strange sensation overtake his body. The wind intensified, and the dance of his curtails turned into a serious waltz. He lowered his head, squinting his eyes to shield them from the harsh gales. In that moment, his body felt detached. Almost as if it had been entirely removed from his spirit within a moment's notice. And as he reopened his eyes, the sun no longer shone but instead the gentle kiss of the moonlight had swept a wide field of grass and woodlands. He sighed to himself, as this had felt like the hundredth time that he had found himself involuntarily carried to an unknown location. But at this point he had just found it best to embrace the moment and deal with the reprecussions. Eventually he'd be trasported back home after fulfilling some convoluted task.
As his eyes swept his new surroundings, his ears were tickled by the faint sound of waves crashing in the distance to his left. He turned his head to meet the sound, and instead his vision had fixated upon a familiar face.
"Kaito, at ease," he reassured the genin. "Good to see you're always prepared but I can't detect any threats with my Byakugan." Guren's left eye had been passively surveying their immediate proximity and accurately assessed that there were no threats nearby. "However," he began as his voice trailed off. "I can tell that Seb is here too."

A light breeze, not too cold but also not as pleasant as the one underneath the dome in Sunagakure, came over everyone's favorite Berserker. "The fuck?" the man cursed upon waking up from the sudden sensation. Sebastian would get out of bed, noting it wasn't his own while he started to scan the area. "Why does this shit always keep happening to me?" the Tau wondered after realizing he was indeed no longer in the Land of Wind. Vague memories to a time when something similar took place began to fill his head, informing him this wouldn't be the first time he got caught up in something strange.
After accepting reality and coming to terms that he once again found himself in quite the predicament Sebastian decided that staying at one place wouldn't do him any good, which is why he set out in hopes of finding the cause of everything currently going on. "What are you looking at huh, punk?" the former mercenary shouted at the moon that in his opinion was shining too brightly. He'd angrily kick a couple of rocks that dared to lay down on the ground too close to where he'd be walking. Safe to say, Suna's berserker was almost at his breaking point.
As he continued his private investigation Sebastian could hear and see a couple of other people had started to gather at the same place, all unfortunate souls finding themselves in the same unfortunate situation. "Which one of you idiots thought it would be a good idea to bring me out here?" the misfit cursed once more, wondering if he would run into some familiar faces.

Re: The Eve Of Spring [Kaito, Guren, & Ichigod]

The shout at the moon from Seb was resounding, and loud enough to drown out the calm voices of Kaito and Guren. After Kaito's observation and indication of where Seb's signature was, the pair would walk up the hill and their eyes would fall upon the marvelous festival that took place before their eyes. It was truly a sight to see, something that Guren hadn't before even amongst his travels. The closest thing he could relate it to was that which took place involving some unknown deity-esque figures. Still though, that was about death and dismemberment. This one seemed like a celebration of life. It was refreshing. He smiled softly, thinking on how he could bring a version of this to Sand Country.
The smile widened as the silence was broken with Seb's abrupt cursing at the crowd.
"It was me, I couldn't stand being here alone so I said a prayer and you and Kaito appeared." Guren snickered loud enough for Seb to hear as the distance between them fell shorter. Once the three stood within speaking range of each other, Guren would extend a closed fist out to Seb for a fist bump.
He took a brief moment to glance down at the city before stuffing his hands into his pockets and tilting his head upward slightly. "What say we go check out this festival, hmm? Might as well embrace the strangeness while we're here..."

Of course, whenever Sebastian ended up in trouble chances were Guren was involved in one way or another. "I bloody knew it, perhaps I should close my eyes again and go to sleep, maybe that'll send me back to Sunagakure". With his mood slightly improved thanks to seeing a couple of familiar faces, the Berserker responded the Kazekage's greeting as he accepted the fist bump. The second person that got summoned into the strange dimension would be Kaito, a boy he once mistakenly took for someone who practiced parkour the day the two of them met. "At ease soldier", rubbing his finger underneath his nose the Tau enjoyed the respect shown to him. "Seems like there are still people who recognize greatness" he jokingly said as he slapped Guren's shoulder harder than he actually intended.
The three Sunagakure shinobi would stand there for a second, taking in the view of the surrounding area before the Big Blood spoke up once more. "The only thing I'll be embracing is someone's neck so I can crush it. Or their throat, so I can rip it out" the former mercenary described how he wanted to strangle whoever was responsible for bringing them to this weird place. Dear Sebastian always had a way with words. And violence, mostly violence. With the promise of a potential slaughter Suna's berserker decided to tag along, staying behind wouldn't do him any good after all. "Alright G, lead the way". Assuming nothing else needed to be discussed they could head out, strange things ahead of them.

Kaito would follow the Kazekage's and Sebastian's leads, walking towards the open gate that separated them from the rest of the festival. Just as they were about to walk through, however, a voice called to them from 5he shanty little ticket booth next to it.
"Oi, lads! You can't just rightly walk in, now can you" The voice said. Intrigued, the young Hound Of Suna would waltz on over to the booth. Inside stood an odd looking man dressed in a pink suit with a green undershirt. He also wore a pink top hat that demanded attention. Kaito thought the man looked odd and a little funny, but he would keep this to himself as to not offend the man or his Teo Sunagakure comrades in any way.
"The price of admission is free, no need to question that, but in turn we have another form of entry." The odd man paused before presenting three sheets of white paper. He would hand each of the Suna ninja one sheet. "You must make your best origami animal. We hand them out to the kids, you know. They love it!"
Kaito complied, making a rudimentary origami dog. It took many attempts, but he soon got it exactly how the lad wanted it to look. He had never personally done origami before, but the man behind the booth counter walked him through the process.
"Alright! Done!" Kaito handed the man the decoration proudly. The man examined it for a few seconds before setting it back down upon the counter.
"Alright, young lad, you are free to enter! Enjoy yourself!" Kaito would wait for both Guren and Aebastian to finish their projects before going any further into the festival grounds, waiting paitrntly fir his seniors.

Guren would nudge forward in response to the strong slap by Seb, but to mask how hard the slap was he took a couple steps forward to carry his body with momentum. "Jeez Seb has gotten stronger" he thought to himself as he turned and looked at his comrades with a smile briefly. Who better to be trapped in a foreign place with? This was quite a triumvirate of characters to delve into the customs of a...party village. Guren would offer some light laughs at the aggressive jokes from his brother, then continue downward with the duo to descend upon the entrance of the village. But moments before they reached the front gate, a voice from a booth would call out to the trio. Kaito led the way to investigate, followed by Guren and Seb.
The strange voiced matched the appearance of a rather flamboyantly dressed man, somewhat sporting the look of a tourist mixed with a raver and a pimp. Guren refrained from outright laughing at the man's attire, but a brief and silent exchange of looks with Seb would cause Guren to snicker just a tad. Yet the timing of the short laugh was perfectly aligned with the man's instruction for the three to make origami animals to gain entry to the village. "Exciting," Guren said while masking his laugh and taking on a serious face, refusing to make eye contact with Seb again.
Guren would receive his sheet of origami paper and would proceed to make several simple yet important folds. Down the middle, diagonal, across. The process repeated itself until Guren bore a striking resemblance of a paper swan in the palm of his hands. "How's this?" he asked the man while extending it out to him. The man responded with a gratifying nod, and offered Guren a ticket in exchange. Guren's attention then turned to Seb as he couldn't wait to see what the big burly figure would create.
When the three all had their tickets, Guren would proceed through the front gates and lay his eyes upon the partying crowd before him. Turning slightly to Kaito, he lowered his voice and inquired, "Hey Kaito...how old are you again? Old enough to drink hopefully...I'm parched. What about you Seb?"

Sebastian followed behind as the three of them made their way to the entrance of the strange village, however, before they were able to set foot inside they were suddenly stopped by a voice coming from a booth calling out to them. The look on his face when he saw the odd looking individual would be a sight to behold, it wasn't exactly one of disgust but more something expressing that the Tau couldn't fathom what he was seeing. "The fuck are you supposed to be, a gremlin?". Sunagakure's Berserker would eye both Guren and Kaito, almost as if he wanted to say "What? I know you were thinking the same". Anyway, it appeared nothing would stop the weirdo in the booth from giving them some sort of task before they could enter.
If he understood correctly, something that didn't happen often, the three Sunagakure shinobi were supposed to make an origami animal in order to be allowed entry into the village. "Origami? Sounds Mexican" the former mercenary whispered in Guren's ear. Sebastian then watched how his two companions began their assignment, Kaito creating a dog while the Big Blood made a swan. "Fine, give me that", mumbling he angrily grabbed the material before showing off his artistic side. "They don't just call me Picasso from the hood for nothing". With a couple of sadistic laughs that would creep everyone out here and there, the Tau was almost done with the assignment.
Finishing up Sebastian would finally reveal his masterpiece to everyone else. "What? Don't tell me it doesn't look like a fucking work of art". Instead of a dog or a swan the Tau had simply made an Origami version of himself. Tall, muscular, scars, tattoos. If he didn't know better Suna's Berserker would compare himself to motherfucking Michelangelo. "Don't give me that look, you little gremlin. You wanted an animal, here, you got one. They call me a magnificent beast for a reason. Ask them". He then pointed at Guren and Kaito, expecting them to confirm his reputation. "Now, are you going to let me in or do I have to crush you like this piece of paper? No? That's what I thought. Let's go boys". With a ticket in hand Seb followed the others through the gates where they would lay their eyes on quite the partying crowd. "Vodka, I'll need to get drunk before I start to strangle one of these idiots". Sebastian Mikaelson, party animal. At your service.

Kaito was a bit taken aback by the actions of his senior, Sebastian, but he didn't pay it any mind as he walked into the festival grounds with him and Guren. The place was very much lively and the smell of alcohol filled the air like a thick blanket of fog.
"Looks like we found our alcohol..." Kaito told Guren as he led the three of them up the stage to take their places at the remaining seats.
The stench made Kaito grab at his nose. He had smelled alcohol before as his father would drink it on occasion and he absolutely despised the smell. He had never tried it before, however, and unbeknownst to him, this would be a night that he would barely forget.
As if on que, Guren would ask the young Inuzuka if he was old enough to drink.
"I'm thirteen, so old enough to drink by Sunagakure's standards, Lord Kazekage." He would reply, trying to not allow himself to be bothered. Based on Guren and Sebastian's statements, he was sure he wouldn't be able to find a way out of drinking this evening.
After a few minutes of meandering around, the trio would come across a drinking competition. There were a few civilian-looking individuals already seated at the long wooden table, and there were still a few spots left open. The proctor for the event would welcome them all cheerfully before advising them of the rules; drink as much alcohol as you can before time runs out. Any throwing up would mean instant disqualification. Kaito gulped with worry and was about to resign himself to simply watching the event from the side, but before he could the proctor would yell "Go!".
The boy was now stuck up there with a seemingly unlimited amount of alcohol...
