As Seb made sure that everyone in this dimension was aware of his boisterous personality, Guren couldn't help but chuckle a few times. It was something that took some adjusting, but once you were locked in you could understand his humor. And with how much time and how many missions the duo completed, Guren knew Seb very well. Even his stab at origami was simultaneously a marvel yet an expression of himself, literally. Once Seb presented the art, the man cowered in fear momentarily before presenting Seb with a ticket to the village. And finally, the trio would pass through the walls. All three seemed all board with drinking, with Kaito reminding Guren that he was just 13 years of age. So youthful, but still legally old enough where he could drink. Interesting. "I wonder if he'll have an understanding of moderation..."

But in a setting like the one they would find themselves in, there was no such thing. Some exploration would lead the group of esteemed shinobi to none other than a drinking competition where the rules were simple. Within a three person team, drink the most amount of alcohol as possible. Guren advanced to the proctor and informed him that his team would be entering. In agreement, the proctor nodded and set up three glasses where the Sunagakure ninja would seat themselves.

"Alright boys, let's let loose for once. And Kaito, don't feel the need to keep up with us. Between the three of us, Seb should be able to carry us to a victory. I'm pretty sure he's got 5 livers or something like that, right?" Guren would joke while offering a whimsical glance at his Tau comrade. And with their banter, it would be time to begin.

"Sake for me!" Guren would call out to the bartender who would begin filling his glass. Fortunately for Guren, this was also a relatively easy exercise. For the last few years he had found himself consuming only three liquids: water, tea, and sake. But he had never really pushed himself to his limits save for a few nights. Nevertheless, they had to prevail. And so with each minute that passed, Guren would slam an empty glass of sake down onto the table and the bartender would refill it. The bar was responsible for keeping track of how many drinks they had been administering. And so far, the bartenders were astonished with the numbers the Sunagakure team had been putting up. Throughout this binge drinking experience Guren would exchange looks with Kaito and Seb momentarily and offer a light smile and the occasional nod. There wasn't really much time to discuss, but surely they'd have plenty to talk about once the alcohol ran through their system. And once the 30 minute time limit had ran up, the Suna team had been crowned victors. Each man would have their hand raised, and a sack of ryo would be placed in it.

"Good job, team!" Guren would exhale. "Now uh...can we have some waters?"

The bartender would laugh before delivering three large glasses of water to the group, to which Guren would immediately begin chugging. He had to offset the sloshing liquor in his stomach one way or another. Standing from his chair is when it all hit him. "Fuck..." he thought to himself as it felt as if the world had been moving in slow motion. A unique grin would creep upon his face, signifying that indeed, he was lit. But still he had to maintain his composure, no good would come from a sloppy kage. "You guys want to uhhh, grab a bite to eat? That Chuan stand over there looks sooo good. I need some teriyaki chicken." Guren would point off in the direction of a food vendor who's kiosk was set up adjacent to a series of picnic tables, each equipped with a set of carving tools and bundles of local cherry wood. An activity that would surely be exciting, especially while drunk. But first, food...

Guren would take charge of the rest of the group, which was well respected by Kaito. He had also told the boy that there was no need to go drink for drink with the other two, but how bad could alcohol be? In a bit of teenage rebellion, Kaito would proceed to go drink for drink with Guren and Sebastian.

His poison? A rather potent IPA.

Kaito took the first sip of the bitter monstrosity, and he about spit it all out right there and then. How in the hell could people drink this stuff? He flashed a look at Guren and Sebastian, who were both drinking away merrily. With a sigh, kaito knew that he needed to go on. To show that he could hang with the big dogs. Closing his eyes, Kaito would throw back his head, the tip of the bottle pressed between his lips, and he gulped down the liquid quickly. Once all of the alcohol in the bottle was gone, he would slam the bottle on the table and sigh, lightly gagging as he did so.

'Eww... One down...' He thought as the bartender placed another open and cold bottle upon the table in front of him. Kaito would wait a minute before gripping the bottle tightly and repeating his previous plan of attack. He would do this eight more times over the course of the thirty-minute event, and once it was all over Kaito felt as though he could barely stand. The taste of the bitter beverage did, however, grow on the boy. Guren would request that the three sunagakure shinobi get some water, to which Kaito nodded weakly. He would sip at the glass and take his share of coin from the bag that was laid out before the three men.

"I don't see how you all can drink that stuff back to back." Kaito said with a light laugh. "I feel like I can barely stand."

Guren would suggest that the group then take a short break and get some food, to which Kaito agreed. His father had always said that the best cure from alcohol was water and some good food, so Kaito opted to go for some of the teriyaki skewers. He would sit down the two older shinobi at one of the many picnic tables and make small talk with them, feeling as though he was now officially one of them. After a short while longer and with food in his belly, Kaito would stand up from the table to throw away his trash. It was there he noticed a sign directing the festival guests to a wood carving competition. Intrigued, Kaito would allow the alcohol to take over and give into the childish side of his personality. All in all, he was still a kid after all.

"You guys wanna go to that wood carving competition?" He asked Guren and Sebastian, his words beginning to slur slightly. "Good opportunity for some more cash." Whether the other two would go with him or not, Kaito would wait a minute before walking over towards the stage where the competition was being held. He would be directed to a small cubicle-like booth which held small chunks of wood, a hammer, a small saw, and some nails. Kaito would quickly get to work, deciding to make a luxurious dog house. Not that he would have any use for it, as he himself didn't have a dog, and he wasn't even sure if he would be able to take his creation home with him, but it was the first thing that came to mind.

The four hour time limit seemed to go by rather quickly. Kaito did the best that he could, and his dog house did turn out really good for what it was worth. Once directed to stand, the only other participants of the event were little kids, other than Guren or Sebastian should they have decided to join Kaito. The children all made small little birdhouses or toy replicas of kunai and shuriken, but Kaito's design would come out in the top three. He was awarded the prize of ryo and two different types of candies, which he put into a little compartment of his ninja pouch as the candies were still in their wrappers.

With that, Kaito would go to congregate with Sebastian and Guren again. At this point he was feeling a bit tired, but he wanted to keep having fun. Once he found the two of them, he would bow and let it be known that he was going to do some exploring (and, without telling his superiors, some more drinking) on his own. He would wave his goodbyes before running off into the endless sea of people all enjoying the festivities.

With the alcohol cooling down his hot temper Sebastian slowly started to join in the festivities. Slamming down one glass after the other before refilling them the young Tau emptied one bottle of sake and continued with the next, the liquor smoothly running down his throat. Letting out a small burp Suna's Berserker looked around, noticing their competition was falling far behind. "Pfft, can't drink for shit" he yelled, filling his cup of sake once more. With the combined efforts of Seb, Guren and Kaito it didn't take long for the Sunagakure trio to come out victorious. "Ah, money. My favorite" the former mercenary's eyes lit up as a pouch of ryo found its way in front of him.

When the glasses of water arrived his mood turned sour, not quite the beverage he had in mind. Anywho, to make sure everyone would be able to enjoy his company longer Sebastian chugged it down, the importance of health and all that. "Bleh, I'm not a plant". Guren then suggested they'd get something to eat, a plan that sounded like music to the Tau's ears. Looking into the direction of the food stand the Kage talked about he could already smell and taste the delicious meat. "What did they call me, a teriyaki chicken?". Everything he didn't know just sounded Mexican to him. Whatever it was, he still planned on enjoying it, especially since good food went well with a little bit, or in his case, a lot of alcohol.

The third and final part of the activities consisted of what appeared to be wood carving, another thing he had not done before. "Watch me, I'll be carving a girl with some massive mil-, eyes. Yes, eyes, that's what I meant obviously". And with finishing another masterpiece the festival came to an end, and so did their stay at the Eastertide Fairgrounds.

"Experience," Guren responded to Kaito with a hearty laugh as a conclusion to the drinking event. In successful stride, the trio departed from the bar and set their sites out on the food vendor. Guren's mouth salivated as his stomach growled. The thought of sinking his teeth into some street dish was compelling enough to the point that he didn't even realize what the price of the food was. He swiftly paid for moderate portions of meals for himself, Kaito, and Seb, and with that the group sat and ate at the table. They discussed light topics and enjoyed small talk as they feasted on the food. The conversation took a swing towards discussing some high level initiatives within Sunagakure, just before transitioning to a series of jokes by none other than the Berserker in traditional fashion. It was a nice way for the Kazekage to bond with Kaito, seeing a shinobi start to crack out of his shell. And with haste Kaito spotted another opportunity for the group to take part in: wood carving.

Puzzled, Guren stared upon the series of picnic tables in admiration. It was a simplistic activity that was unlike anything he had seen. But considering his affinity for wood release, it was something that seemed like it would be easy to adapt to. And so as the group made their way over to the picnic tables, each of them signed up and were subsequently assigned to their own projects.

"Good luck boys," Guren would let out before walking to his own table. With precision he'd carve the cherry wood with horizontal, vertical, and diagonal motions. He etched the creativity from his mind onto the wooden canvas. With each stride it became more and more apparent of the design he had been going for. And to his own awe, it turned out magnificently to say the least. It was a wooden caricature that spoke volumes on the history of Sunagakure. It was a hybrid insignia of the former and current symbol of the village, representing both the Old and New eras. Something that he was proud of. And in recognition of his work, he too was awarded a commendable reward in the form of ryo and candles. And with that concluded his work in the village, and in the dimension. All that was left was to return home with his comrades.
