Needing Muse

He awoke to a start as he heard the sounds of explosions overhead.  As he jumped up out of the bed with a fright his upper body was exposed as he examined the other patrons, it seemed as though there was a celebration that was going on, yet nobody was around for it.  Yamato tied his festival garb so that he was covered once more before setting out to investigate what the disturbance was.  

Once outside he found himself entering yet another part of the festival, the nightlife was sure active as parties could be seen anywhere he looked, there were people enjoying a drink, and others were…taking advantage of the open air.  The only things that were out of place were a peculiar man standing near a resting tent that looked as though he was just waiting for someone or something…and of course himself.  He made his way to the mysterious stranger he could see him bring out a violin before starting into a song, it was rather aggressive and others gave the man a wide area thinking he was crazy.  Thing was though, Yamato could hear a story…the man was communicating something, something that foretold the destruction of this dimension…and the downfall of others.

Yamato was entranced for a few moments as he took in the style of the bard, there was rhyme and rhythm to how he weaved the words, but it was as though the man had lost all hope and was less than interested in how life continued.

Asahi Outfit:

Several days had already gone by as the festival continued to rage on. A beast without need of sleep or rest it would seem, as one group of partiers would drop off in fatigue, there was always a new crew to take up the mantle. Most of the frivolities was done in good fun, a wholesome festival of spring time delights. Yet still, one could always find the darker side to fun if they knew where to look, and Asahi always tended to find these places even if he was an outsider to them. Dus had claimed the sky, and nighttime reigned as he pushed his way out of a tent waving farewells to several companions within. As he moved out, he came across a rather dour gentleman with a captive one man audience. Moving his arms out of the kimono sleeves, Asahi placed his kiseru to his lips giving it a drag, accompanied by a puff of bluish smoke. The scents of fresh fruits and vanilla followed the smoke as a familiar tingle spread outwards from his lips to entrance the rest of his body.

Moving his way over to the audience member, he'd blow a smoke ring in the direction of the sour man. Who didn't react and instead continued on with his ghastly story of gloom and doom. One hated to see a party pooper amidst such a party. "What's this guys problem?" Asahi would ask Yamato who he did not know. For Asahi's part, it would be difficult to discern if he was a male or a female in his current attire. Blonde hair in a bun on the back of his head, a large flower behind the ear, even his sing song voice accompanying the music and noise of the festival.

Listening a bit longer, he grew a little impatient with the sob stories. "Here, should try this!" He would say clapping and removing the pipe from his mouth. With no interest in perosnal space, he'd shove the pipe's mouthpiece into the man's mouth mid sentence, causing him to splutter as he took a large breath of the.....medicinal herbs, that resided in the smoking portion. "That outta cheer you up!"

Panting, Maneku wears a mask similar to be found on festive beasts. Another way to see Maneku is that he looks like a lax oni, with his mask having a jet black hue. Not poking out from a mask is any Santa beards. Carrying a blanket, Maneku still looks to be lazily lacking sleep with darkened eyes underneath his mask. Even with his moody blues, Maneku has softer blonde hair than most, and his blanket has golden lines on it. Restless, Maneku doesn't look like he's maintained an outfit for a particular occasion. Dirty dark slippers are on his feet and a black yukata fades into his blanket wrapped around himself.

After having gathered all the information, Maneku's ready. Coming up to another tent, there appears to be a skinny fat bard that's easy to fill up with stupidity. The joke characters are always scary when mad, like Maneku's oni. An entertainment tent that aggressively signals and notes the ominous aspects of jokes. If it was Maneku, he wouldn't approach insanely bumbling bards like this too easily. 

"Hey guys, uh, what's up?" Older but stuffy and gruffy, Maneku could've waited. Hesitation came to Maneku on thinking how to cheer up the potentially hidden foe. Saxon could use some Great Love. Well, things won't be a problem with um the choking bard now. Hey, choking can definitely feel good sometimes for some people. The festive spirit of herbs followed Yamato and Maneku, it's probably best to let the bard think on his safety. With the mumbling bard turning more happy by the second, Maneku's just going to hang in this tent. After Saxon wants to give the map, Maneku really feels like the guy just wants the place destroyed if he's trapped here so long. Stewing conflict should of caused the bard to accept punishment long ago.

It really did not take long for the bard to cheer up once another fellow, listening to the pinings of the obtuse bard, came up and offered a pipe of “medicinal herbs”  to which Yamato rolled his eyes and just scanned the tent once more, if there was one interesting person besides him listening and watching the bard…there were likely a few more.  After a quick look the interesting person in question…came to them, asking what was up Yamato looked at the bard and the resident smoker that was engaged in “puff puff pass” with the bard and he scratched the back of his head.  “I was, well…listening to the uninspired musings of this bard before I was joined by two rather interesting parties…”  He said motioning to the two of them that joined him, the bard had grown excited and nostalgic at the same time as he shared the pipe with the other fellow.  

The bard began to tell of a tale of a great warrior turned savior, now looking to reap all that he had sown here in the dimension that they found themselves in.  He looked back to the fellow with the mask and then shrugged as he stuck out his right hand.  “Shinrei Yamato, hope this night finds you well…what might I call you?”  He asked the masked man, and upon getting an answer he would turn to the smoker and the bard and laugh.  “No doubt you heard our names friend, and now that the bard has cheered up, we can get to having a better night…what shall we call you?  OR would you prefer smoky?”  He asked as the bard soon interrupted and held out a map to Yamato as he smiled 

“This is for listening to my museless babel…I think this will help you three more than me, so please take it, and I wish you well.”  He said before walking off towards another tent, stumbling over himself every so often.  On the map were small notes and instructions.  Yamato looked at his fellow “helpers” and laughed.  “Feel up for an adventure?”  He asked as he presented the map.

Approved, Maneku and Yohei ^^

“Ol Smoky works for me, but for formality reasons you can also call me Asahi!”  He’d say laughing at the man’s statements.  He made sure to retrieve his pipe from the depressed bard, best not to allow such things the opportunity  to walk away.  After that everything seemed to happen quickly and a bit haphazardly, or perhaps that was just because of the herbs in his system, honestly who was to say.  There were some following introductions, something about a map, and the only real point of interest, the mention of an adventure. He wasn’t sure how much fun an adventure would be when there was a festival to enjoy, but one never know.

“I’m always up for a good time.” He’d say simply in response, and opted to go with the flow, what can you do.
