He Returns! Ex Prince of Sunagakure!
Thu Jun 02, 2022 3:18 pm
Han took up post at his usual sitting, the Sunagakure gates guard tower. Normal activity took place, people in line to enter the village, while others exited. Smooth sailing, one would say.
A blinding light would manifest from 10 meters away from his station. Han would clearly see it as a silhouette of a person stood within its veils. The lights would lose its shine gradually, narrowing to the figure inside until it was no more. As the hue faded and the sand settled, all that was left in its wake was Souji. The Genin would look upon the gates with a lavender eye. The heat of the desert atmosphere would bath him on a warm welcome. He would immediately activate his Byakugan, his eye would scan the village - searching for a signature that was familiar to him. He found a few, Ichi, which has grown greatly. He would smile lightly at that. Zaine and Raleth, they must have returned he would think.
He couldn’t see Kenshins, nor Musu. He…he couldn’t even see her’s. His eye would fall on Han, someone who became close to him. Someone he respected. He would then turn to the boarders where he would scan thoroughly. “She’s really not here.” Reducing the scope of his vision from a mile to 100 meters he would stand there. His back remained to the village gates. He needed a moment process this.
In this time, Han would move to make a call. It’s been some time since he last seen Souji. And to be frank, something was clearly different about him. He was taller, and more refined in build. His body covered in tattoos and he wasn’t giving off an air of immaturity - not like he use to.
Small white and silver wisps of flames would dance around his head. So what little insight that Ibari gave upon picking him up seem to fell in line with his thoughts. He sighed as he stood there. Though the events of Hoshi sat fresh in his mind, he couldn’t get over the fact that Mizuki was not within the village. “So I really wasn’t nothing more than an escape plan. I hope she’s not frolicking around posing as me. That would be creepy.” He understood how she thought, he knew that she coped with guilt through mimicry, or doing her best to avoid it. In some cases it was a bit passive aggressive, delusional and outright sad.
But he would digress, he would leave this be for now. There was more important matters to attend to.

RIGHTEOUS H A N D
RIGHTEOUS H A N D
Suika had been preparing rooms within the Spire for the twins, as Guren had taken them out that morning for training so the woman could work in peace. She had been steadily paced, as she moved along the hallway; finally finished with her work — the call would come in.
Normally, the Lord Third would answer these calls from Han, Suika was the only one within the Spire at the time. After a few short exchanges, Suika would make her way to the clef, as quickly as possible. The long awaited return of the former Prince of Sunagakure had finally come.
She found herself within moments located at the clef, the ice trial quickly melting and soaking into the ground behind her, the woman would walk towards the entry, her hair was cascaded around her body as she pushed the white locks behind her right ear as she came to the side of Han, waving her hand to dismiss him.
“Lady Suika.” Han would nod, backing away for the period of time for Suika to greet Souji. Taking an early lunch; and an opportunity to have a short nap, knowing full well that the woman could handle herself.
Suika, having never met the former Prince; was shocked to see a man standing before her, all the stories she had heard described the man before her as a child, but this was certainly not a child. With a deep breath, she would inspect the situation, wondering how exactly she would need to break the news to him… Or if she should direct him to Guren.
She had given word to the Thirds blood vulture, Hoka to summon Guren and the children back home; as a Souji would be arriving shortly to the Spire with Suika.
The woman would close the distance between the Hyuuga and herself, “Souji.” She would announce herself, although she was sure he seen her coming, “Welcome home.” Her icy blue eyes continued to scan the man, his appearance was mature, tattoos covering his skin… He was incredibly different from the boy who had left Sunagakure; she had been told of a child of Mizuki; brash and immature—but the man that stood before was different… He seemed more mature, more aged than she ever pictured in her mind.
In that moment Suika decided she hadn’t the heart to tell him his mother abandoned the village and went rogue. “We had been expecting you far sooner than this, where is Ibari? He was suppose to be your escort from Kirigakure. He was to return with you before leaving. Did he neglect his duties?” Her voice was stern, disappointment cindered behind it, Ibari was a high ranking official who had also decided to leave Sunagakure after the events of the Lady Second leaving, and the Lord First commiting suicide.

Potent winds, lifted as his name was announced. His long, dark locs of hair swayed to its influence. The bulging around his left eye relaxes as the glaze over his optic revealed his violet eyes. He didn’t recognize this person, yet she knew him by name. Was this a warm welcome? From this woman? His head shifted slightly, a partial redirect of his eye to peak through the strands of his hair to look at her beyond his shoulder. “You do not posses a heat signature. Or rather, it’s extremely low. Yuki, I would presume.”
His body body would amend, facing her face-to-face. The expression on his face was nothing short of nonchalant, poised even. He analyzed her from head to toe, her face wasn’t familiar to him, the more he looked at her. This woman was not a threat to him, that much was evident to him. His eye would drift towards the guard tower - Han was not there. Resetting on her, he would deduce that this woman was of high ranking.
The next line of words that would escape her lips would rest on his ears, but they wouldn’t relieve his shoulders. Ibari…she asked of him. “I-Ibari? Ibari…? No, he managed that much of his task. But…” His words fell short, as did his eye. Cutting to the ground, but he seem to fail in finding something to focus on. Flashbacks of that fight flooded his mental, small indications of his annoyance from that battle was painted subtly on his frame.
“Ibari is dead.” The Hyuuga forced his mouth to form those words with that name attached. The sentence was heavily coated in a painful emotion.

Suika watched the man carefully, her eyes narrowing as he announced her Clan with such ease. He had certainly grown more than anyone could have anticipated; a small smirk cutting across her face as she relaxed her body, “I do not losses a heat signature. You would be correct within that assumption.” She would state, crossing her arms carefully, “Quite a good catch, “I am certainly not the woman you were expecting, but all will be explained shortly by the Lord Kazekage.” She kept her mention of Guren short and sweet; she didn’t want to foretell to much information without Guren being the one to explain it.
As he would response to her inquiry of Ibari, the former high ranking official of Sunagakure, her smirk would slowly dissipate from her face, pressing her lips together as her fingers cupped along her right arm would tighten, causing the nails to slightly dip in; “Dead?” She questioned… her mind racing from even the slightest possibility of a shinobi, former or not of Sunagakure dying. “How exactly… Did this happen? Did you witness it or were you told? Is Kirigakure responsible for these transgressions?!” Her voice would raise, not in a sense of yelling; but in a sense of panic, could this mean war? Did the news of the Lord Second leaving Sunagakure reach the other villages already? She could feel a sense of panic, her children had just come out into this world, and now they could be preparing for war.
In the moment, she didn’t take the time to consider the boy behind the face of the man; she didn’t consider the emotions that could be swelling inside for him; her panic rested only on her children, and the children of the village. Although Sunagakure was quite the stronghold, she feared for all should a proper war breakout.
But as she stood there, her dress swaying with the wind, her slender body being hugged by the fabric tightly as she looked at the man once again, the solemn look on his face, made her realize that were was a boy behind the man; a boy who had witnessed something horrible; losing a friend; as she simply assumed that Souji and Ibari were in fact friends; as she had not been in the village long enough to actually truly know the shinobi there fully, but she had started.
But the look on his face, would cause her to reach out to him, her hand laying on his arm, “I am… Extremely sorry for your loss, Souji.” She would press her lips together tightly as she gave his arm a reassuring squeeze, she was unsure to comfort him, as part of her fry appropriate time for a well deserved hug, and another part of her realize she was nothing but a stranger to this man. This man who left as a child and returned home… Different… Was still a boy, a boy who’s mother abandoned him, who spent time in prison, held captive by a foreign village… Within the moments lost inside of her own head, she would move herself closer, encasing the man in a hug, although her skin was touch to the touch, a small warmth radiated off of her. Something that could only be explained as a mothers touch. The hug would last only a few moments, but the woman decided it didn’t need to be prolonged, there was only emotion contained within the embrace.
There was no time to lose, as she waited for the man to answer her question for several moments. She would take the pause as opportunity; “Let us go, the Lord Kazekage should have returned to the Spire now. We must inform them of all that has happened. And quickly now. Who knows of the repercussions that will come into play.” She would pause, turning heel her body and dress swaying almost with the wind; “Let us go, Souji.”

Re: He Returns! Ex Prince of Sunagakure!

A violet eye focused on the Yuki’s person. His deduction of of her clan was spot on, he wasn’t surprised. There weren’t many clans that could reduce their body temperature, let alone from his Byakugan, unless of course by the means of a sensory technique that overwhelms the power of his Doujutsu. But he didn’t suspect that was the case here. Why bother with that and not entire presence? She knew of his name, so she must have known of his abilities…the one that he shared, at least.
Her inquiry granted a response that she wasn’t ready for. He could feel that she was sent into an immediate panic upon learning that Ibari was dead. It was a natural response - Ibari was an Anbu of the village, a buddy of Souji’s. Someone that marked the boy with high praise upon their first mission together. He recalled that during that reconnaissance mission that he, Ibari and Musu took, that Musu felt his presence wasn’t needed. That Souji operated on a high level, much like that of an Anbu. Such praise only swelled the head and ego of the arrogant child. But from that day onward, he had a great respect for them both.
Upon seeing that it was Ibari coming to his collecting, Souji was both disappointed and relieved. Disappointed in the fact that his mother couldn’t find the time to come to his rescue, only to find hints in his words indicating that she was no longer in the picture. Yet, relieved in the fact that Ibari found him as a priority to rescue. He was also thankful to learn that Ibari wouldn’t lie to him about Mizu. That was respectable.
Analyzing her further, he noticed her ticks, she was concerned. It felt familiar, her worries. “Kiri? No, as hard as it is to believe that. The former Mizukage, Kizmaru and his right hand Keita are both dead as well.” He was sure that would freeze her over, more so than her own blood already did. “When Ibari came to collect me from Kiri, we teleported to Hoshigakure. There, coincidentally we met up with Kizmaru and Keita. Words were exchanged. Next thing I knew I learned of Uncle Kenshin’s passing. From there Keita and Kizmaru hired Ibari and I as mercenaries to attack Hoshi. I informed them that Ayato and I are related. He was a prodigy in his own right and because of that he would not be an easy mark.”
The confrontation of that battle played in his head in a loop. He watched as Ibari… “Ibari died trying to buy me time to escape. From the amount chakra he was accumulating…looked to me that he aimed to sacrifice his own life, taking a few of them along with him. But it didn’t go that way. One of them used a powerful hindering technique to his attempt and that allowed the other to kill him.” His words fell short, in the midst of that he noticed that the Yuki was still lost in her haze of thoughts. Shaking his head he would establish eye contact with her. She held the same expression and concern on her face, her posture as Mizuki did when it came to Souji’s own safety. A heat spiked on his chest. “How old? Your kid, or kids I mean. Sorry, but in your panic, lost in your head like that reminded me of someone. I don’t mean to pry. Now is not the time for such a question, forgive me.”
As he looked away, he felt her hand upon his arm. She would feel a warm from him. Like a steady furnace. Her words offered him some comfort, truly it did. Before he knew it she embraced him with a hug. His eye widen from the shock of her actions. She didn’t even know him, nor did he know her. But…but…his eye tread with a single tear and his arms reached around her waist and back as he pulled her in for a equally emotional hug. He buried his face into her neck and shoulder as he cried for that moment. The white flames around his head raged in a calming manner, no harm came to her from them. This hug, it was no doubt about it, it was a mother’s love. Unconditional and unwavering. He longed for something so familiar. He was finally home and it felt like it. This was what he was expecting. This was what he desired.
It lasted only a moment. After they separated she me tied the Kazekage. With Mizu nowhere in sight, he was sure that she meant the new Lord Third. “Right, I’m ready.” That being said, he would follow her into the village to meet with the new Kazekage.

First there was fire Then there was smoke
RIGHTEOUS H A N D
RIGHTEOUS H A N D
The information that the man relayed, vastly important information; the former ANBU Ibari and himself had been hired by the former Mizukage… Both now having the same fate as Sunagakure’s own Ibari…
The information was overwhelming to say the very least; she listened closely to the story and how it unfolded, shocked by the attack against another village, known as Hoshigakure — Througout Suika’s travels, she had landed herself close to the village, but never entered the queer village; it was someplace she had long desired to return to; but with the new revelations of a former member of Sungakure’s ANBU. She felt for Souji, hearing of the Lord First’s death in such a manner, especially with the man referring to him as ‘Uncle Kenshin’, this reassured her actions in embracing Souji, the boy who left but returned a man.
With the mention that Ibari had sacrificed himself in order to allow Souji to escape, she felt a reassurance within her heart, even after leaving the village. And although he had not followed the last direct orders of the Lord Third; he still allowed a safe escape and return for the former Prince of Sunagakure to return home. Ibari would forever more be a hero of Sunagakure; at least to Suika. Even if the decisions made, and the actions taken, we’re not something she agreed with.
Within her moments of standing crossed armed, she hadn’t realized that her own posture was similar to another’s, during her own interactions with the Lord Second, Suika had seen a similar stance to her own; but in the moment the thought has been over looked, until Souji inquired with Suika about her own children, a small but weakened smile would creep along her face, although she didn’t answer his question right away and instead embraced him; for the few moments of the embrace she could feel the heat radiating off of his body, a furnace under her own skin felt ignited; a strange sensation for the pureblood Yuki.
She felt the man’s arms wrap around her waist, his face shoved into her neck and shoulder as he let the tears flow from the child he was. She couldn’t help but give him her love, the same love that she felt for her own children, placing a hand on the back of his head, the other rubbing his back gently as she allowed the moment to last as long as he needed it.
A tug within her own chest, the feelings of anger and disgust, a child who had to grow so quickly because of the actions of other people. The rage deep within side the woman burned in its icy cold flame. She blamed so many for the pain this boy experienced, the comfort that he needed now. She couldn’t have helped the anger towards Mizuki, abandoning her son; especially now that Suika had her own children.
The anger towards the recently departed Ibari; for allowing the child who just was released from captivity of Kirigakure to risk his own life for a battle that didn’t involve him. She felt sorrow and anger for the Lord First, who ended his own life; being Souji’s final relative within the village to depart before his return.
As the moment between the two came to an end, she looked into his eyes, pressing her hands against his cheeks as she gave him a genuine smile, “Welcome home, Souji. Truly, welcome home.” She would wipe any tears that remained on his face; should he have any at all.
By this point, she figured that the man had deduced his own conclusions as to where the Lord Second was, and that he was going to meet with the Lord Third; “Two.” She mentioned as she lowered her hands, “I have two children, twins. Unique and beautiful in their own ways.” Pausing as she spoke, she would brush away some of the hair blocking his violet eye, “Their ten years old. A miracle they both are. Just like you in so many ways.”
“Let us go, you’ll be able to meet them soon enough. But the Lord Kazekage has waited long enough for your return. Best not to keep making that time any longer than it needs to be.”
With a small chuckle, the woman would guide her hand, allowing Souji entry into the village, and back to his home.
The long awaited return of the former Prince of Sunagakure. Returned at last.
Following behind Souji as the two would depart towards the Spire and Guren who eagerly awaited for Souji to arrive there.
Exiting, allowing Souji entry into Sunagakure

Her words, were soothing to his ears, and his heart. Souji had to be a man for so long, so long that he forgot that he was but a boy. His body matured beyond usual capacity. His mind further than it should to the brink of thinking like a wise man at times. It was something beyond his control. “Thank you, really.” As she wiped away any tears from his face, pushing aside stands of his hair. He noted that she was a kind woman. Flashbacks of when Mizu took to him when she first met him.
Souji was much younger, two years young than today placing him at 13 years of age. He was running a high fever, dehydrated from his travels with no water. Hungry with no food. On the verge of dying. Messy, black hair, and fair skin. Full eye lashes that compliments his mysterious eyes very well. Multiple piercings in his right ear and only three in his left. He sported a choker around his neck. Wearing a somewhat loose black shirt with his clan symbol on the back. With a unique design that runs from the collar of the shirt down the right sleeve.
He wore white shorts with black trimmings at the cuffs. The shinobi tool pouch is on his located at his lower left back and his kunai holster is at his right thigh. His legs are bandaged from ankle to thighs. Normal shinobi shoes is what he wore back then.
Now his attire is drastically different, but without need of mention. This woman reminded him a lot of Mizu. It was a bitter-sweet feeling.
His eye focused on her, she finally answered his question. She had two children. 5 years young than he was. He formed a sadden smile. They were young, and he was sure that they were already preparing to be shinobi. But, at least at this rate, they would have a proper upbringing. Not like the one he had.
The Hyuuga would follow the Yuki into the village. Her hand on his back guiding him in. He was finally home.
