Adoption Center Mission

Kinko grew up in a unique setting.  He was a part of a clan that international, and he had a home in the Lightning Country, though he did not belong to a village.  He was very well off, better than most outside of the village, and even most inside.  The disparity of money can be quite extreme, and Kinko often found himself in both realms of the world, simply due to a lack of constant supervision.

Strolling through a nearby town, one known for their rouge, bandit, and outlaw population.  One that struggled with political stability, economic opportunities, and clearly crime.  Despite this, a vulnerable population of non-skilled civilians lived here, mainly because they existed in the town before the downturn, with no real other place to go.

His golden eyes peered through the street, where the common shops were bars, clubs, and weaponry stalls.  The common pickpocket and shoe shine parked at every corner.  Kinko was not one of them, he was hardened in other ways but never by this type of struggle.  He stood at the corner and heard yelling.  A large brown dog started to charge towards him, but not in an aggressive way.  In shock, the young boy froze, uncertain what to do as the large dog tackled him to the ground, licking his face.

Something that Kinko was not fond of but not upset about.  He quickly got up to see an animal shelter, most likely where this dog came from.  A brief sigh came out of his breath as he knew he needed to return this dog, and no good deeds go unpunished in this town.  Walking over, he enters the shelter with the dog, who is happy to be returned.  The young lady at the shelter is shocked, yet happy that the dog was returned.  “Thanks! I imagined he would never be returned.  We were concerned that he would be trained for the dog fights around here.”  Kinko returned the smile, as well as the dog, “Yeah, I understand.  He loos happy to be back.”  He said, as the dog dropped his face into his food bowl.

On his way to leave, the young girl broke the silence.  “Sir!  You are a strong young man, would you be able to help us?”  His face turned upside down as he smiled.  Knowing that he could say no, but he has to say yes.  “Ummm…what did you have in mind?”  Without a second to waste,  a hammer and nails appeared in her hands.  “These dogs have a tendency to break down the house.” She said with a nervous laughter.  

With his callous hands, the young man grabbed the hammer and nail.  For the next hour, Kinko would follow the girl and slam every nail into every plank of wood.  Even taking the time to take out the ones that were on the way out.  What made it slow was the occasional animal wanting to play.  Though, Kinko noticed no one came in the entire time he was there, he was sure they needed help.  He wondered how much she was being paid.  Regardless, he knew he could help, and his mind would never let him leave without helping.  Soon, the shack looked much better, though it never was good for something to look brand new in the area.
