It appeared Kyogetsu and Xyxer's fates would be intertwined, the two of them brought back together once more. Whereas the first time involved sabotage, this time could be no more different. A couple of days ago, the young Hozuki was responsible for cutting off supplies, nobles who were still showing support for the Leviathan and whose influence had to decrease. Using his talent for sensory, the Kirigakure shinobi was able to successfully carry out said mission, the higher ups pleased with the result. The Mist was divided, once Bloody but now the truth could be no further from the reality.

The fact that the village seemed to be split in two sides, those supporting the First Mizukage and those trying to get rid of whatever was left of him, could be proven by the next task Kyogetsu was about to undertake. Or perhaps the complete opposite, depending how you'd look at it. Standing close to the ocean the young Hozuki found himself staring at a statue, maybe even admiring the massive monument of Xyxer Gyojin. Even up til this day, after all this time, it still attracted many a visitor. Joined by a handful of others he would pay his respects to whatever was left of the man who made New Kirigakure into what it was now. 

As everyone else left, Kyogetsu stayed behind. The last Hozuki standing, even if he wasn't aware yet of how little remained of those possessing the Tidal Blessing. With his bloodline in mind the young Kirigakure warrior knew what would be expected of him, having read the mission's details before coming out there. As he now witnessed with his own two eyes, the massive monument to Xyxer Gyojin would tend to get grimy. It was up to him and hopefully a couple of other volunteers to tidy up trash from around the base and head up to chase away the birds and give the First Mizukage's likeness a good cleanup.

Standing there, he noticed how little taken care of the statue was, wondering if those of the Mist truly appreciated what the First Mizukage had done and meant for them. Having no time to waste, Kyogetsu would look for a couple of tools before he could start cleaning up.

Upon this day, Kura was assigned the task of tending to the Monument, his eyes when meeting with the sculpture was fill with disgust and annoyance. But he would not make a big deal out of it. He was never one to question a mission, finding even more annoyance in those that do. This was but another attraction for tourist, a relic of the past. That was how the Yuki saw it. 

It was as if this village fed off the toxicity of Xyxer, the way that it uplifted him and paid homage to his deeds. Despite it making Kirigakure a formidable village. But at what cost? He was now gone, no sooner to return and the village is without its former might. It didn’t take much for the boy to note this about his home. Just weeks ago there were shinobi fighting over a chair that they were not fit to sit upon. A sigh would escape his lips as the crowd of people depart. 

He was now left there alone, or so he thought. He would notice his brother from across the board as he stood there gazing at the statue. Kura with a low gaze would understand that this was a bit much for Kyogetsu. First the sabotage and now this. It was like the village was throwing it right in his face. 

He would make his way over to him. Stoping a meter away. “Careful, you’ll end up drooling, giving me another mess to clean.” He attempted at a joke, not his style, but he wanted to find a way to snap his brother out of it. It was to like him to behave in this way. “I didn’t take you for the historic type, brother. What brings you out here?” He asked.

As he was about to start cleaning the statue, Kyogetsu noticed his younger brother decided to show up. "I know it sounds crazy but for better or worse my fate keeps getting intertwined with that of Xyxer" the Hozuki responded. True, the money was also nice but it wasn't the only reason as to why he found himself carrying out maintenance. "You're free to join, or just watch". Regardless what Kura chose to do, his older sibling would continue cleaning one of the only things that remained of the First Mizukage. He would pick up and remove any of the trash he could find before finishing up by chasing away a couple of birds attempting to make the statue their home.

With the monument looking as good as new, the young Hozuki decided it was time to head back home.
