Monument Mopping

Mission description:

With a stretch and a yawn Sakuran got out of bed, today she was going to the mission central to ask for her first mission, exciting. Making her bed and putting on her clothes she went down stair to get breakfast with her family. She was the last one to get up again and her brothers made fun of her for it, Sakuran grabbed her things while excitingly telling her sisters and mother about her training and headed out.

Travelling to the village took a little while, Jack on the ferry was as pleasant as ever. She wondered what Shin was doing today and if he was preparing for the exam. She needed a change of pace, practicing all day was great for getting stronger but she wanted something different today. She entered the mission central.

Going to the front desk the lady gave her a scroll without even looking at her. "You are a student right? Here is a scroll, details inside, I am busy." Slightly taken aback she took the scroll, reading the mission details Sakuran started to move outside. She had to pick up supplies to clean the former Mizukage's,Xyxer Gyojin, statue.

She went by the depot to pick up some soaps, brushes, rope and general cleaning supplies. Loaded with supplies she started going to the Mizukage's Statue. The man at the depot had given her a lot of stuff, she was slightly buried under all this material. No matter, she soldiered on.

Arriving at the statue she could see the need for this mission, the area around the statue was littered with tourist garbage, the base of the statue as the statue itself were grimy and dirty and all around she could see this white smudges she like to describe as bird gifts. She walked around the statue to see a course of action, it would involve a lot of scrubbing.

Sakuran grabbed some rope, a bucket, brushes and soap and started climbing the statue. Best course of action would be to start from the top and work her way to the bottom. The statue was massive and she wondered if she should have roped Shin in on this, no matter, she would get it done. Climbing on to the shoulder of Xyxer she faced the former Mizukage.

"Hello, sir. I am Sakuran, here to make you look great again!" she chuckled and continued her climb to the top of his head. She took one of the ropes and tied it to the bucket, throwing it from the top of the statue into the nearby ocean, she pulled it up and added soap while mixing. Once it was nice and foamy she started scrubbing the top of his head. She took any job she got from the village very seriously so she made sure she got every last bit of grime and filth off his head.

She dropped down onto his shoulders taking all of her things with her, refilling her bucket of water in the ocean and adding soap again. Sakuran started left to right on his shoulders, making sure it looked brand new and took special care of the face. After all the face of the Mizukage is the face of the village, as she was scrubbing his face she thought to herself. "Sorry Sir but you are kinda cute, i wondered how you looked like when you were a Genin."

She laughed for a bit after finishing Xyxer's face and went on to the next shoulder. The view was kinda great from up here, she should visit more often. After finishing on this level she tied a rope around his shoulders and used it as an anker the spiral down his body, but since this was a big surface she poured a couple of buckets with soap down his body around his chest. Going back up again to get her brushes and start the spiral along the chest again.

Scrubbing down his back and chest area was tiresome work but it had to be done, she often surveyed the statue to see if she did not miss any spots. She continued spiraling down slowly to scrub every inch, it was the least she could do to pay respect to this former great Kage. After an hour of deep scrubbing she finished his torso and arms.

She employed the same tactic to scrub the lower half but blushed a bit when she got to his nether regions, looking up she said "No funny business, ok?" Sakuran laughed at her own joke while she continued to scrub down in a spiral. Slowly the statue was looking regal again, it was a bit wet but that would dry up pretty soon.

She started scrubbing the base that the statue was on, treating it with as much respect as she did the rest of the statue. The base was looking shiny again and Sakuran jumped down admiring her own work. She wouldn't mind doing this more often. Now it was time to clean up the surrounding area which was littered with garbage.

She took some disposable bags and started collecting the garbage, "Damn tourists could show some more respect, this was a Kage, many levels above them." she thought to herself. Once she had cleared all of the garbage she proceeded to sweep the surrounding area until it looked spik and span once more. She got rid of the garbage bags and gathered all of her things.

Sakuran jumped into the ocean to clean herself off, laying in the water looking at the statue. "You know Mizukage? One day i will be even greater then you." She floated in the water for a while until she felt clean and got back on the beach to gather her things. and started walking back to the depot dripping wet but satisfied.

She dropped of all of her cleaning supplies off at the depot and returned to mission central "I finished cleaning the statue." The clerk looked up at her "Good good, come back tomorrow for a new mission" Sakuran smiled and nodded and headed back home.

Mission description:

Sakuran was excited, today was the first day of the academy. Her brother Akira was taasked with getting her to school. Ridiculous since she often wandered the village alone, but not wanting to upset her parents who already were not to keen on her becoming a ninja she did not want to rock the boat. Tugging on Akiras sleeve she pulled him along to get to the academy as fast as she could.

Akira took her to the registration office and handed in the paperwork with his parents signatures he was told to bring her to the mess hall. "I will never understand why you want this over our farm life Saky." Sakuran looked at him "We come from a great line of shinobi, I will never understand you not wanting to be one." They walked on agreeing to disagree and he dropped her off at the mess hall.

The hall was filled with about 15 children and the teacher motioned her to sit. She sat down next to a boy with long red hair but white hair on top, looked intresting enough. The teacher explained they were there for an introduction only and classes would start tomorrow, the teacher introduced herself and explained she would be asking questions of each of us and they had to be answered.

Everyone in turn got asked questions and ultimately the teacher asked Sakuran to introduce herself as well.
"Hello, everyone. My name is Sakuran Hatake. I am here to become the greatest kunoichi ever !"  She said while shaking her fist dramatically in the air.
The teacher responded unflinchingly "Why are you here at the academy."
Sakuran thought she already answered that. "To become a great student ?" The class laughed but the teacher did not looked amused. "Answer the questions as i pose them, in your first response you included the reason instead of waiting for the second question." She shifted uncomfortably not being used to this level of scrutiny.

The teacher ignored her visible discomfort. "What do you wish to learn here ?"
"To become one of the best Taijutsu users." She said with confidence.

"Ok and why should we teach you?" The teacher peered over her glasses at her.
"Because i will be loyal to my village, my family and my friends. Because I work hard for my goals and will never stop." All discomfort gone, she was stating her reason for being not just why they should even bother.

The teacher paused a moment thinking what next to ask. "Who are the Hunter Nin."
"Elite shinobi that hunt down missing nin and criminals, they protect our safety and guard our secrets." The teacher wrote something doan on her pad "Very well, you may sit down."

Sakuran sat down to the same boy again, curious to hear what he had to say. They finished the rounds and the teacher dismissed the class. She watched the boy go and gathered her things.
"That could have gone better." she mumbled to herself while heading home.

Mission description:

Sakuran quickly got out of bed, today they were doing a field trip with the academy. Putting on her clothes she rushed down stairs to chow down hard. After having her fill she said goodbye to her family, grabbed her gear and ran out. She would often run to school as a warmup because alot of it was just sitting down and listening. Sakuran rushed over to get to the ferry but did stop to greet some neighbours, never hurt to be nice after all.

She got to the dock and saw Jack on his ferry about to arrive. "Nice, just in time!" She waved frantically barely containing her excitement. Jack let her on the ferry and she started saying "LETS GOOOOO" Jack smiled and said he was waiting twenty minutes for other people to arrive, did not matter how much Sakuran beg and pleaded he would not leave untill the alotted time. About 3 islanders were on the ferry when it finally left.

Once at the village dock she did not wait for the verry to stop, yelled goodbye to Jack and ran to school. The teacher saw the amount of gusto she had entering the room and before Sakuran could say anything she glared at her and told her to sit down and wait quietly. Sakuran knew better then to disobey and reluctantly she sat down. After a good ten minutes they all arrived and the teacher gathered them up and started walking.

They did not walk very far and arrived at a field and had to walk to the center of it. Most of the students were wondering what in heavens name were they doing out here. "Right, Class the goal is to get out without touching the mist, touch it and fail." It was a clear day so there were many confused faces. "Other then that anything goes and try not to attack eachother in a panic please."

She left the field and the moment she did, roaring out of the ground, sprang up walls of earth surrounding them, some of them noticed that it was in fact a maze and not four walls blocking them in, as soon as the walls stopped moving they saw in the middle of this maze a thick eerie mist spring up and one of the children who went to inspect was dragged into it with a loud yelp. This caused everyone to run except for Saky and Shin, Shin calmly picked a path and started walking, not running.

Sakuran simply went over the parameters of the mission and calmly looked at the walls, seven maybe eight meters ? The mist was creeping to her and Sakuran squatted down, braced her legs and jumped ten meters in the air easily clearing the walls and landing on top of them. "Well that was anti-climatic..." she sighed.

She walked around the perimeter and saw her teacher standing at the exit, jumping down she grinned at her and without saying a word stood next to her, no reason to antagonize her today, she was first.

Mission Description:

Sakuran was laying in bed, today was another field trip, this time to a forest which was kind of her thing. She got up and got dressed knowing that rushing now meant waiting later. She had breakfast with her family and recounted the field trip with the maze and how easy it was for her and curiousity about the upcoming one. Gathering her things she said goodbye and started a run towards the docks.

She greeted Jack who was waiting and told him again about the maze from last time. When they finally got to the village docks she said goodbye and ran to school, no point in wasting a chance for a good warmup. Sakuran greeted her class as she walked in and sat next to Shin. They waited untill everyone had arrived and their teacher gathered them up. They started moving as a group and after about two hours arrived in a big forest that Sakuran knew well.

"Alright class, we have been studying about herbs for weeks so now go find me some, tonight you will be asked to present them and explain their function: Then it will be bedtime and in the morning we will go home." Everyone started walking around trying to identify plants and the teacher would walk among them and help them by asking them questions qbout what they were holding.

Sakuran walked about with Shin and was picking some herbs and she focused down on some yarrow known for its ability to stop bleeding, reduce inflammation, and promote wound healing. It's also used to treat colds and fevers. She picked a bunch of it and held it in a pouch wrapped in some cloth, she continued searching looking for something to snack on while searching and roamed around a bit more.

She had found some sorrel which is pretty common and has a tangy flavour, it was good against stomach aches, rich in vitamins and was pretty good as a snack. Since it was very common she grabbed a bunch to store in her pouch and held some in her hand to much on. As her last herb she wanted somehting really good, the things she found was common but now she wanted something special.

She started looking under logs for a fungus she knew to be a powerfull medicinal mushroom, she talked Shin through how to find it since she knew he was very intrested in. After a while she found the mushroom under an old birch log. Chaga mushroom was known for its immune boosting properties and anti inflammation, She told shin it made for a pretty good tea. Night came and she presented the herbs and fungus to the teacher who was pleased she had learned so much in class, in truth it was her brother Daichi who was really good at this and often collected things for the household.

Night came and they were awoken by a scream, the teacher was writhing in pain. They rushed over and saw bugs the size of dogs ! Panic ensued with some of the students but Sakuran tried to chase them away from the teacher. Facing them down with Shin they had their weapons drawn and as they were fighting them they noticed their weapons making no contact at all.

Shin and Saky looked at eachother, it dawned on them this might be another setup like the maze. "It has to be a genjutsu, i am positive my weapon should have hit by now." Shin nodded instantly knowing what she meant and together they performed a genjutsu release. It was slow going but they reviewed the technique not even a week ago in class. Once they were out they tried to inform their class members and slowly the class was cured of the genjutsu.

Her teacher stopped writhing and laughed, "Good some of you paid attention." When morning came they all went back to school where they then had the day off.

Mission description:

Sakuran was up early, this week was build-a-ninja at school and so far it was awesome. She was sitting downstairs eating breakfast talking to anyone that would listen that they had a big test today, one of the Sensei`s would hide and carry a waterballoon on their back that they had to pop to succeed. Her brothers scoffed at it but Sakuran figured that was because the hardest things they had to do today was clear weeds and water crops.

Not letting this get to her she rushed out the door and told the entire story to Jack on the ferry again, also anyone who was so unlucky to step on the ferry while waiting for it to leave. The ferry moved at a snails pace for Sakuran who was running back and forth on the deck hoping her movement helped move the boat quicker, she still had to work on her physics but her enthusiasm was top notch.

They finally landed and mumbled a goodbye before running full tilt to her school, when she arrived she noticed she was first and lightly cursed, this meant waiting something she is not good at. She told the teacher she would be outside warming up for today and when she saw people come in she would return. Slowly people arrived and some of her looked at her with scorn for having this much energy in the morning.

She saw Shin arrive and quickly followed him inside him with her abundant energy. They sat down and the teacher explained what was happening today, A teacher would have a water baloon on their back and their mission was to pop it, first they had to find them and do this in teams of two, hearing this she grabbed Shins arm grinning madly, he sighed and accepted. After the teachers explanation they divided into groups.

One by one the groups met their targets and went outside to meet their teachers and they all had tags like Geography teacher, math teacher and so forth. When Shin and Saky met their teacher the tag said History teacher and Sakuran paid that no mind, all she saw was the target, the teacher was slightly unnerved by her focused look and posture. The teacher announced the chase would start and Sakuran braced herself.

When the teacher jumped away Sakuran ran after him with all her speed, he was not escaping, screw hiding. Shin was left behind by Sakuran and started the pursuit his own way. She was having a tough time keeping up but saw the water balloon dangling on his back, seeing her target strengthen her resolve and she pushed to go even faster. The teacher ran towards a familiar area.

It was the statue of Xyxer Gyojin! The teacher landed and appeared to make a stand. Sakuran got ready and wasted absolutely not a second in attacking him, kicking and punching and trying to reach the baloon but the teacher was very focused on her, refusing to give into this brat. There were flips and jumps and was quickly getting out of hand, Sakuran decided on a grapple and came at him. The teacher noticed this OfCourse and locked arms with her.

It was then you heard a whizzing sound and a small pop, Shin was transformed in a tree all along and used Sakurans rash nature to his advantage by waiting for the right moment to use a senbon to pop the balloon. The teacher looked at both of them impressed "Well done, did not expect this level of cooperation." Sakuran looked puzzled and stil did not fully understand what was going on, but played along. The teacher gave them a passing grade and left for school.

"HOW did you find us?" Sakuran exclaimed at Shin. "Teacher had a History tag, everyone knows this is the most historic spot in Kiri, made sense." Sakuran laughed uncomfortably "Total sense."
She looked onto the statue of Xyxer Gyojin and a sense of deep awe and admiration came over her when looking at this imposing figure, wishing she could have been part of those Legendary Old ways she had heard so many good things about.
