On this fine day Yusyke was given a unique mission. It was up to him to study the senzu bean stalk. Recently in Hoshigakure craftsman and alchemists hsd a sharp raise in need fir materials to work with; to satisfy the craftsmans demands Hoshigakure was investing state funded studies on certain reagents. Many genin were selected to study various plants, metals and biological ingredients for the village.

Yusuke wasn't exactly thrilled with the mission. Ever since he had gotten back into his genin duties he had been itching for excitement. Unfortunately it wasn't going to be anytime soon, and Yusuke was given some info on the plant he was to study. On the paper was a pictured bean stalk. With small beans growing along it. The plant was dark green and labeled "senzu stalk." It was known to have miraculous restorative effects in humans, and it was up to Yusuke to put all the knowledge he could find into one database. 

He headed to the esteemed Kozai Library, and grabbed all the books he could find that had info on the plant. After two hours of searching Yusuke sat at a table with a light stand plugged into it.  The ninja turned the light on and began reading his first book. This one titled "Haven Country Vegetation." Yusuke poured over the big book in the Kozai Library and it became frighteningly real to him how little he knows about plants. Some of it was hard to read, but Yusuke had a dictionary with him. His eyes combed back and forth over each page, taking in all the knowledge he could on the Senzu Stalk. 

It seemed that the olant grew best in wet conditions, and formed what's know as a root ball. This makes the plant easy to transfer, and hardy. The bean produced on its stalk restores vitality, and it originated in Haven Country mountain tops. The bean used to be considered rare, but now with modern horticulture it's popularity rose since its so easy to care for and has such miraculous benefits to human health. 

That was about all Yusuke got out of the first book, but he read a little further regardless. The subject was growing on him and he even caught himself daydreaming about owning a Senzu stalk. Soon hours had passed by and he had written up some good notes. He had fifteen solid points to define regarding the plants growth, enviroment and such. There was a lot known about the senzu bean, and Yusuke was certain the little bean would be approved for use in medicine. Writing up the essay came easy to him, Yusuke considered himself a scholar and writing came easy to him. 

The next day Yusuke brought his completed data on the senzu bean stalk to Miku, the Hogikage assistant whom Yusuke most often worked with. She looked over it quickly and seemed to nod. It was hard for Yusuke to read her, but the icy chick didn't hand it back to him so Yusuke felt confident in that. She even handed him his Ryo as a reward, and without a word carried on at her type writer.
