"Please.. get it out..." The cornered mother pleaded with the trio, holding her child in her arms, and she shrieked as Goro suplexed the bear into some of the furniture. As the limp bear remained writhing on the wooden floor, the caped warrior's legs shook under him. He had peed his pants. "Agh, shit. Get it away from me!" Saturn cringed, stepping to the side to avoid the elongating stretch of piss that followed the pattern of the wooden tiles below them. "Look, kid, just take the bear back to the forest, alright? Don't come around here anymore." He turned to the traumatised family in the small Kumon home, "That will be 4000 ryo."

Goro facepalms and looks at Saturn. "It's not a service, it's a duty!" He exclaims, flailing his arms and scolding Saturn. "If we don't show any improvement soon, we're never gonna be promoted! And if I never get promoted, I can't ever become kage!" He would say, frustrated not with Saturn, but himself as he walks out of the poor family's house. He'd then take a seat down on a nearby bench, not minding the rain much. He's silent for a few moments before he finally asks. "What are your goals anyway, Saturn? I don't think you ever really told me." Now bringing attention to his shinobi comrade.

Saturn counted the ryo handed to him by the family of two as he sat next to Goro on the bench. In the distance, the legs of the aspiring youth trembled as he cautiously escorted the bear to back to the woods. Saturn counted the bills one by one, he was handed a total of 6000 ryo for their work. He separated 2000 ryo from the stack of bills and handed it to Goro as his eyes met those of the Chinoike's in time to contemplate the question that he was asked. "Me? I just want to make a lot of mo-" Saturn caught himself. Although on the surface, it was his driving motivation to earn as much ryo as he could, his aspirations ran deeper than what he let on. He decided to give a more honest answer to his teammate instead. While he had a lot of acquaintances in the village, he did not have many friends that he could open up to after all.

"I want to start a fortunetelling business. Sometimes people need someone to give them hope when they find themselves questioning their own minds." Saturn spoke in a different tone than he usually would, he was calmer and more approachable. "People need to know they're not all alone in this world, and there's someone watching over them, a higher force at play." He looked out into the distance before turning his attention back to Goro,

"Would you let me read your fortune?"

Goro would listen to his friend open up, paying attention to his every word. " A fortune teller, huh? That's honestly quite modest. But it's thoughtful. Inspiring, actually. I hope it works out for you." He would think for a moment before responding to Saturn's question. "I suppose I wouldn't mind being your first customer." He would then sit silently, somewhat losing that smile he holds. His thoughts are rapid and panicked, almost anxiety-inducing. Thoughts like if he'll ever really be strong enough to defeat his mother who cast him into a volcano as an infant. Thoughts about if he'll make the cut for the upcoming chunin exams? Thoughts of if people figure out where he's really from, if the Uchiha might finish the job. If he stopped acting like a book-dumb kid, would people take his gifts as him being pretentious or entitled?

First? Saturn's face twitched when Goro assumed that he was the first customer. However, he would not burst his teammate's bubble. He took a deep breath in and a deep breath out to calm down before he would Goro's wrist, turning his palm face up. He looked into his younger teammate's eyes first, and with a grin uttered his first words as Goro's fortuneteller. "Sagittarius. You like the color red." He had a smirk on his face but he had not begun to use his most potent fortune telling technique, but he had innate abilities to learn a few basic points of knowledge about others from up close with his Sixth Sense skill. He had already learned Goro's zodiac sign along with his likes and dislikes. Some of his quirks were peculiar, and made Saturn not want to pry. He was already armed with ample knowledge to give his teammate a reading without infringing on his privacy.

Saturn's reluctance to learn about Goro's past would indirectly save him from an early dive into his own forgotten past with Jashinism. While he learned about his admiration of the deity, he did not use any techniques to pry any further. He had learned about the beliefs of the Jashinists when he found himself at the Temple of Jashin after a night of sleepwalking. Death, specifically freedom from the fear of death, was the most important subject at the table of Jashinists. They were a misunderstood cult that carried out questionable executions.

"You will make many friends in your life, Goro. And you will come into a great fortune - you will be able to afford anything you desire, that can be bought." He dictated with a confident poise in his voice, "The negative feelings that you have towards someone special, someone close to your heart, it stems from your relationship with death. If you meditate on this connection, you will find the answer that you are looking for.."

Goro would think deeply about this reading. Saturn is right about everything he stated beforehand, so Goro is almost inclined to believe his reading. But his final sentence was vague. Meditation was a weird thought for him, as he almost always has the answer to everything. "Meditate?... Okay, I can try that." He thinks back to his memories of his mother, trying to dig for an answer out of it. He remembers the showdown on top of a volcano, a completely lopsided matchup between a woman who has spent her life perfecting taijutsu and a boy armed only with the rage stemming from the murder of his father. He remembers how fast she had beaten him, with just a single kick to the head. He was barely conscious when she spoke the last words he ever heard from her. If you truly are my kin, then you will survive. But I've tried too long to teach you, it seems you are just too weak. So I'm giving you a choice. Burn. Or become strong. It was a miracle that he even survived that encounter with his deranged mother. He tries to think about what answer could even come from this before it finally comes to him. Strength. Without strength, he cannot protect anything. "I... Think I understand now."
