Into the Snowy Haze

She had seen it coming, it wasn't exactly hard to expect, a Byakugan user to stop something like that is as easy as snapping a finger, or a branch in this case she supposed, she didn't entirely care her hands still in her cloaks pockets, she wasn't gonna bother much more then she already had, it was a semi playful jester as it was a fucking stick, the fuck was it gonna do? Though now that she thought about it, there's plenty of ways that a stick could be used as a lethal weapon, humans have been doing it since the dawn of fucking time, always attempting to find new ways to create violence, never peace though, but who was she too talk she had supposed, her entire life she's been raised to see the world through special eyes, and yet she never did, she always saw it for what it was, a flawed world, far too flawed to ever find true happiness she figured. True happiness, was something that could only be found in a dream, perhaps someday she'll find that, and help guide others too it as well, though that day wouldn't be for years she imagined, she wasn't strong enough to do that, that was for certain. As the thoughts had slowly guided through her head, staying just barely aware of the world as to not walk into anything, she didn't even hear Izuna try to follow in the Hyuuga's footsteps, trying to scold or lecture her, not that she'd of cared in the first place, her thoughts were simply too loud, loud enough to give her a headache, she ever so slightly rubbed her head afterwards, thinking why she had recently started getting these headaches when she began to think of the future, perhaps it was a sign not to think about it so much, or perhaps it was a sign that she should pursue through her pain, and find out why its been like this.

Though finally they stopped, her mind snapping out of the reality it had put itself into, a day dream of sorts, she often had them, ever since she graduated she's had a day dream at least once a day, it was somewhat of a pattern she had fallen into, not that she minded it, it was a enjoyable pattern, though for now she just needed to focus looking towards Zunair for orders, she half expected him to say to leave it to him, though he didn't he actually said they need to handle whatever the monster is, be it a bear, or something more, she half expected a bear, it was that time of year where if you entered a cave like this you'd find at least 1 bear hibernating inside of it, which made her question why anyone would even enter such a cave to begin with, as they began to enter she had simply waited keeping her eyes and ears open for anything that could arrive, Zunair knew where it was but that didn't mean she did, she'd need to find it first, though it would appear Izuna was several steps ahead of her, something she only moderately felt proud of Izuna for, seeing him come so far was nice to see.

As she saw the electricity zip through the area, the bare minimum light for her to see showing the monster, her eyes would sharpen as she had jumped, her height easily reaching the ceiling of the roof as she had kicked off of it to reach just above the creature, halting her momentum on its back, her hands forming seals as fast as they could, Snake-Ram-Monkey-Tiger her hand then moving to her mouth, she didn't want to leave this thing alive after this attack, to do so would be cruel, even if it was just a beast, blowing into her hand she had breathed out fire, enough fire to light up the cave quite a bit, though what mattered was the creature had become completely encased in it, a solid orb of flames, hot enough to melt flesh, Xena had barely jumped off it's back in time as it burnt rather quickly to death, it was somewhat horrific to watch, but she needed to put the thing down so the others could get whoever they came to rescue out of this place.

As she jumped back she simply watched the monster die, wanting to make sure it didn't come back and try to kill them, though as it slumped down, charred bone being revealed as the orb of fire dissipated she figured that was good enough, quickly exiting the cave behind Izuna she wasn't sure where Zunair had ended up, perhaps he had saw someone even deeper in the cave, had they missed something or did Izuna just get too the kid first, perhaps thats what happened, or perhaps she was just over thinking things.

Thankfully, it didn't take any convincing on Zunair's part to make them attack the green beast. First to launch their assault was Izuna after he put himself between the child and the creature. The Hyūga on the other hand just teleported to the man and then teleported to the entrance of the cave, away from the ongoing battle. Thinking back to Izuna's attack, he wondered why he didn't use that on it on Zunair during their little spar. Well, Zunair guess he didn't really give Izuna a chance. 

Looking down at the man, he saw that his vitals were depleting rapidly. On the good news, the man is lucky he has a well-trained medic on his hands. Performing the seals: Ox - Boar - Rat - Monkey - Horse - Tiger, a red aura formed over Zunair's body as he placed his hands onto the man's stomach. The red hue extended onto the unconscious man's body, healing the wounds that were inflicted upon the man from the green beast, and beginning to regrow his leg. Creation rebirth, the epitome jutsu of the medical world, worked wonders on the father. It didn't take long before his leg was fully grown back and functional.

As Zunair finished up, Izuna found his way out with the boy, followed closely behind was Xena. It seems they quickly took care of the beast without any type of struggle. Very good. With that being noted, Zunair took the boy from Izuna.

"I'm going to teleport them to the small clinic the village has and get them set up and evaluated. I assume you'll be okay to get back." Zunair said to the duo as he looked up to the sky. "Try to make it before you get caught in the blizzard." The Byakugan wielder said with no sense of emotion as he performed the hand signs and teleported the father and son to the small clinic.

Once reaching the destination, Zunair took the duo in, having the father over his right shoulder and carrying the child in his left. At least this town had somewhat of a physician and a nurse, so they immediately got the room set up for the injured. Once they were out of his hands, Zunair's help was no longer needed; so, he would exit the place and go inform the woman of the situation. Cries of relief, hugs, and cheers were chanted for the heroes that were Izuna, Xena, and Zunair. Along with that recognition came from drinks and food from the tavern, along with a reward. Zunair wasn't for wait the Uchiha clansmen wanted to do, but Zunair was down for the drink. And drinking he started.

"So, I think we should celebrate." Zunair would say to Xena and Izuna, offering up alcohol to both of them.

As he retreated from the green thing he heard the roaring of a fire behind him. A quick glance behind him showed Xena covering their retreat with a large fire jutsu. Izuna was glad she had decided to strike decisively. He didn't want to enadnger the child any longer. He made his way up to Zunair and deposited the child at Zunair's feet, the Hyuga quickly picking the kid up and informing them that he was teleporting to the village with them. He was gone a moment later and Izuna waited for the remaining Uchiha to rejoin him.

After she did so they would make their way back to the village, Izuna was glad the mission had gone so smoothly with no casualties. It seemed Zunair would be able to heal the man and the child had not had any visible injuries on him. He fell into step alongside Xena on the way back. The cold was picking up at this point and the wind was beginning to be a proper nuisance. Even more so now that they had to walk into the wind on the way back. The cold burned his face as the wind lashed at it. He hadn't brought a balaclava or scarf to keep it out so his best bet was to adjust his coat so it covered more of his face. His coat wasn't high color either, he really had not packed well for the weather.

Izuna was too busy trying to keep the blood from freezing in his cheeks to make much conversation with Xeno, so he wouldn't initate any conversations on the way back, the air filled with the howling wind and a potentially awkward silence. Upon arrival in the town Izuna headed back to the Inn he and Zunair had been in before this whole fiasco started. Sure enough the Hyuga was already seated at the table, enjoying the adoration and free drinks he was being showered in for the heroic rescue they had done. Izuna would make his way to the hearth at the far end of the tavern. More interested in heating up rather than taking Zunair's offer to drink for now.

The bitter cold as usual would blow upon her, this world had grown far more annoying due to it, even with her cloak she seemed moderately chilled to the bone, Zunair, the lazy hyuuga he was, neglected to at least bring Izuna back with him, which somewhat ticked off Xena, sure she's a adult but Izuna's still only a teenager as far as she was aware. As the snow fell upon them she looked up towards the sky, the blizzard was on it's way, and she wasn't entirely sure what she could do too stop it, or at least get her and Izuna home faster. Noticing however the boy in distress from the cold she continued looking around more, she figured they were at least mile out from the village, if they jumped into the tree's they'd likely be able to get back in five too ten minutes, pondering that thought she patted Izuna's should having removed her coat offering it too him. "I think you need this more then me right now." She'd comment insisting he'd take it should he refuse before pointing a thumb upwards at the tree line. "If we hop into the tree's we can probably get there faster by jumping from branch to branch."

If Izuna had decided to go with the tree line option she'd follow limiting herself from jumping past him, if not she'd just walk with him not wanting him to freeze to death out here, assuming they had jumped into the tree's she'd do her best to keep focused the cold now slamming much more into her, it didn't help her that her typical attire is meant more for hot climates, though her arms at least had warmers on them, they were meant more for providing a better grip on weapons, though they never really worked seeing how she's been disarmed of her sword 3 times in the past weeks activities, rather annoying if you'd ask her, though it was just how it is she supposed. Jumping from tree to tree however was never her strong suit, but it was simply just much faster, and now she'd need to move faster herself, she could likely start a fire to stay warm though that could lead to a forest fire she didn't want to be responsible for.

Should Izuna have chosen the slower option Xena shrugged nodding, the walk would simply be longer, maybe 20-30 minutes if she were to estimate it, she wasn't ever that great with distances, though she felt she had a good idea of how long they took just to walk to that cave, the only issue is that now a blizzard is coming into the forest, thinking to herself for a bit, the quiet sound of wind cracking the air was all she could really hear due to Izuna being rather quiet all things considered, she couldn't blame him, she just hoped he was more comfortable now.

Regardless of how they returned too that inn Xena had gotten herself chilled to the bone, but just tried to ignore it holding the door open for Izuna to enter, after seeing Zunair reaping the... 'reward' of their struggles, it annoyed her slightly that he was just drinking his ass off here while her and Izuna were walking back, she simply sighed watching Izuna walk over to the fire place, deciding to just sit down with Zunair despite her animosity towards him at the moment she took up his offer, just looking at the glass for a bit, she just felt tired at this point, but who cares. And with that she simply took a sip of it, she hadn't drank anything like this since she was 15, back then she got her hands on a wine bottle during the academy, she didn't recall how but it was a nice night she had, waking up the next morning sucked though. This would likely be the same situation tomorrow depending on how much she let herself indulge, it was nice though, the alcohol allowed her body to warm up much easier despite it being effectively chilled to the touch.

It wasn't long before Izuna and Xena found their way back to the inn, which the duo basically ignored the whole inn as the chant was for all three of them, seeing that they were just looking at him with annoyance before he could even start drinking. He really didn't care at all, so he continued what he was going to do and sat down to drink while the two Uchiha's took their stationary positions with the female in front of him and the other far to the other side. Zunair wasn't much for conversing with Xena given her lack of social etiquette, so he downed his drink before looking at her. 

"Goodnight," he says as he slightly slammed his cup down and stood up. Leaning over the table, he peers into Xena with his golden orbs. Taking off towards the door he soon found himself outside at the mercy of the winter's air. Looking up, he saw that the storm was still off in the distance but inches closer and closer towards them. Oh, how he wished times were different. Making his way down the streets, the soft pellets of snow painted his face before melting off into a stream unseen by the naked eye. The skies began to dim, so the streetlights began to turn on. Many of the littles occupied the streets, not even bothering to open their side shops up because of the incoming storm.

Looking ahead, he saw the family of three come out of the clinic, all smiles and laughter. That's what it should be. Family should be kept together just like how he wishes his was. Yes, he has dad was still alive but not all there, and Onabi. But the rest, dead. A snarl began to form over his face as the thought of Xena flashed in his mind. If she wanted Zunair to hate her, she has finally got her wish. He just doesn't hope that this pit that is forming inside of his heart, doesn't lead him to do terrible things to his comrades. He needs to find something to calm himself down. With that, he walked off into the blurry white.

Xena upon seeing Zunair leave just gave a small wave goodbye, perhaps she was too hard on him, though it was rude to leave them in that blizzard, the man was possibly to injured for him to wait any longer, with a sigh she just took a sip from her drink before getting up to leave herself, she'd leave her coat with Izuna, she had more then one so who cared, walking out the door into the snow she just sighed as the chill went down here spine, she wondered how her parents were doing, they'd always celebrate this time of year when she was younger, perhaps they were celebrating without her, which might hurt a bit but, it was her choice to come to this god forsaken hell scape of snow. She honestly did want to go home at this point, but she knew she couldn't while they was work to be done, walking off into the snow covered abyss she thought to herself on what her parents were doing, if only she could see that far away. Alas she couldn't and never would be able to see that far away at the rate she was going, with a soft sigh she looked towards the inn, and kept walking, perhaps she should go camping, she didn't think it'd be so dangerous, though right now she honestly didn't think that was such a great idea.

Now daydreaming as she walked so looked off towards the blizzard in the distance, konoha never really experienced blizzards as far as she could remember, then again even if it did due to the amount of fire element users back home she couldn't see a blizzard causing much damage to it as a whole, she could imagine quite a few shinobi being called back to hold back the blizzard, or perhaps none at all as the civilian population could handle it on their own, either by using ninjutsu or just by staying indoors and only leaving when needed, such a usual concept and she was over thinking it by imaging shinobi wasting time using jutsu's to counter the blizzard, she snickered to herself, she really was still just a idiot even after the academy wasn't she.
