Another long day of work was in store for Kujaku and as he woke up he couldn't help but notice he felt extra clear headed today. Usually after finally getting some rest, he worked days and nights in a row, he woke up the next morning feeling exhausted still. Today was different though and Kujaku was thankful for that. He sat straight up in bed and finger combed through his long red and black hair.
After some tugging and pulling Kujaku got out of bed and got dressed for the day. He had taken a shower the night before, a much needed shower, so he was still clean. Looking around his closet he decided on the usual attire for the day, a black t shirt and black leather pants. He always wore those clothes, but he had several different outfits that looked a little different. Some of his t shirts had the Uchiha crest on them, and some didn't. Kujaku wasn't exactly a fashionista. Once he got dressed he went to his armory closet and strapped himself up with his weapons. Kujaku was armed to the teeth with a katana and wakizashi hanging on his side. He kept a bo staff on his back, and a tanto on his calf. Kujaku quickly got ready for the day and then headed out of his bedroom for some coffee. As he crossed the threshold of his door Kujaku ate a military stim ration pill, for energy. He mostly just drank coffee because he liked the taste.
After Kujaku had brewed himself two cups of coffee he sat down at the dining room table and began drinking his first. Kujaku added just a touch of milk to the brew, giving it a nutty flavor. It was about six thirty in the morning, and he didn't have to leave until seven thirty so Kujaku had the time to enjoy himself. After about a half hour of sitting at the table Kujaku's mom woke up and stole his second cup of coffee. She always did that, but Kujaku was a cool, calm headed individual and he didn't let that anger him. He just made another six cups of coffee. His mom drank a lot more than him. They didn't speak much, since the death of her husband Imani was quiet. She was plagued by paranoia and she couldn't talk so early in the morning. She was exhibiting lots of mental health flags, but Kujaku didn't know how he could help; he just sat there quietly and tried to enjoy his time with his mom. Since his father died Kujaku grew cold and resentful of his father, but his love for his mom grew. Kujaku felt more inclined than ever to protect her.
She didn't believe that. Some part of Imani feared that Kujaku would kill her with his mangekyo sharingan. But then, he still didn't know about it. Kujaku had blacked out when his mangekyo sharingan awoke, the moment when he saw his father savagely beheaded. Amaterasu spewed from his left eye, and burned up everything around him, then with his right eye he put the flames out; and then he passed out. Village officials identified the method of fire, being aware of the Amaterasu. Kujaku on the other hand was never told about the mangekyo sharingan and he was led to believe that the assailants burnt the house down with secret ninjutsu. In truth the village had no idea who infiltrated the village, nor why they targeted Yusuke Uchiha.
Kujaku was none the wiser. The village hoped to keep the mangekyo sharingan secret from Kujaku. He wasn't ready for the Uchiha's Curse of Hatred, but in truth no one was. Perhaps the village was making a mistake. But on this day Kujaku would live under the guise that his father was burnt up after being beheaded by two unknown rogue ninjas.
Kujaku left the house to perform his mission. He had been giving the information the day before and he basically knew what he was doing. He would serve as a information booth guide, directing visitors in the village to the various sights to see in Hoshigakure. It would be a boring job, but a safe one and Kujaku was happy with that. Though he didn't mind danger, in fact he craved it. Kujaku was searching for the people who killed his father.
While he waited for a lead he worked day in and day out, completing all types of missions. This one was no different, and there wasn't much of a note to remember. In fact the day slipped into the data mine of Kujaku's memory.
