Marking the Territory

Akabayashi walked about the land of Moon his Rinnegan active along with his bodyguard who was 25m to his left. They both kept their heads turning looking for anything outside the norm. The area was flat with a few rocks less than 3ft in height scattered about. If anyone approached they would be spotted long before they were ob top of the two.

Making a few seals Akabayashi would place a flying thunder god mark on one of the boulders, making him able to travel there on a whim from wherever he was in the world.

Yoshinori had her three tomoe sharingan active looking for anyone approaching as the Mizukage placed his seals. She had her sword hand on the hilt of her blade in csse she needed to draw it quickly. "What are we doing here?" She would ask after he had placed his first mark.

He would turn to her for a brief moment before returning to looking around. "Making traveling around the world simple." He would say, picking up a small rock the size of his fist with his gauntleted hand, thinking about marking it before giving it to Yoshinori to throw.

Just like any other day Junko would awaken rather early in the morning and decide to patrol parts of the island. With Ren's recent run-ins with bandits, and the wave of new people coming to the island she thought it wise to be on high alert as she made her way along the coast. After having breakfast she would inform Ren that she would be patrolling the nearby coastline, and if he wished to join her later he could. Before leaving home she would pack herself a small lunch that consisted of various finger foods and a small bottle of moonflower wine. She also decided to leave any of her weapons at home, seeing as she didn’t have much use for them anyway.

She dressed in rather elegant, but casual attire. On her feet, she had on simple black sandals, and around her ankle, a silver chain jingled slightly as she walked. She wore a well-made black, half-sleeved, dress that stopped roughly above her knees and billowed slightly from the ocean breeze. The deep-cut neckline accentuated her collarbones, and the black fabric went well with her ivory skin tone. Around her neck, she wore a long silver chain with a moon flower pendant hanging off of it that rested on her chest. Her long black hair that seemingly framed her face perfectly laid in thick curls down her back that would slightly bounce as she made her way down the beach.

She walked at a regular pace, seemingly not in any rush though she was on alert for potential danger. She also didn’t attempt to conceal herself, to her this was simply a stroll. As she passed what looked to be a large field Junko would notice two figures standing roughly 25 meters apart from each other. She paused momentarily as she contemplated what to do, with the others who came to the island she welcomed them with open arms so she decided to do the same with those who just arrived. She would attempt to approach the two figures, accidentally stepping on a few twigs causing them to make a snapping sound.

As soon as the sound was made, she heard a different man's voice call from roughly 20 meters from her to the right and turned her head in its direction. She began to feel a bit nervous but decided against activating her ketsuryugan. She figured it may seem suspicious to the newcomers to be met with something that could be seen as offensive. The last thing she wanted to do was potentially upset any who would wander here.

If she was able to make eye contact with any of those who now found themselves on moon, she would greet them with a welcoming smile and attempt to begin talking with them. To those who examined her, she would give off an air of confidence, but not arrogance. She seemed to have an aura about her that some would deem charming. If one were to examine her chakra it would be a lilac purple color, that seemed to have to consistency of cotton candy.

”Hello! Welcome to Moon, my name is Junko. It’s lovely to meet you.”

She would say in a melodic voice to anyone who approached her. She would also offer a well-practiced curtsy as a sign of respect. However, still cautious, she would attempt to maintain 10 meters between her and any who drew close to her.

No one could be hiding in such as flat area on the coast with so few boulders of any significant height around the area. So, they had quite the jumpy man who was startled by the sound of a twig snapping. Akabayashi and Yoshinori had already seen the man and lady approaching, but weren't concerned by the lady who seemed to approach openly without regard for her safety even after seeing one woman armed to the teeth in weaponry and Akabayashi. Who wore a white hooded tunic with the symbol of the water country on the back in big bold blue script. His arms were covered in clawed gauntlets with mechanical veins pumping oil and a bright yellow serpent eye moving about on the tops of the hands.

He would walk toward the girl keeping his distance (15m) and Yoshinori hers staying where she was and moving away if anyone approached. Giving her his kunai gave him a way to shift his location to something nearby quickly. Especially with her speed. She would welcome him to the Moon Country and give her name upon his approach. "Good morning, Junko I am Akabayashi Terumi, back there is my bodyguard Yoshinori and I believe it is more lovely to have met you." He would divert his eyes toward the paranoid guy making sure he maintained a healthy distance as well. While looking at the other person the eye on his gauntlet would look directly at Junko. If she or he approached closer than 15 meters. He would speak his tone quite bold to get his message across. "That is quite close enough."

Otherwise, he would speak loudly yet unthreateningly. His rinnegan was somewhat hidden by his sunglasses, but not completely it depended on the angle and lighting for one to see it. "I think you are safe." He would say loudly at the other person to make sure he heard it. It was hard to imagine anyone hiding in such a place, but maybe he could genjutsu the area and see the fear through his Jashigan to see if there was anything hiding.

She seemed unbothered as the men approached her, though she couldn’t help but feel a bit on edge as she spotted the purple eyes of the man who introduced himself as Akabayashi. Though she had never seen or heard of his before, she possessed a dojutusu herself and could assume it was something similar. She watched their exchange closely, though the two currently weren’t hostile, she knew things could change in a matter of seconds so she remained on her guard.

Clearly, the two men who stood before her had some sort of affiliation to a village. The man who went by Kaito would state that he was from Otokgakure, and Akabayashi seemed to be wearing a tunic that represented water country. Unfortunately in her travels, she had stayed away from major settlements and only had off-hand information from her previous companions.

However she knew that most village shinobi never seemed to leave the gates, so she was intrigued as to why they had both ventured so far from their homes. Now that she pondered it, more shinobi had been showing up from all walks of life to relish in the stunning views the island provided so it wasn’t that big of a deal, perhaps they came for a small vacation? Regardless of their intention, Junko decided this wasn’t going to dissuade her from showing them nothing but kindness.

She’d look to Kaito as he asked if she and Akabayahi were both natives. She’d shift her weight one foot and smile sweetly.

”I wasn’t born here no, but I’ve lived here for quite some time and have become close with the local communities. It’s a rather charming and peaceful place, and I fell in love with it when I arrived. We’ve had some bandit issues, but I’m slowly dealing with the issue.”

As she spoke she’d look back and forth between the two men, indicating that she was speaking to both of them in this moment but also attempting to gauge their reaction to her words. After finishing she’d take a small piece of hair that dangled slightly in her face, and tuck it behind her ear. She technically wasn’t a true native, however, due to her commitment to the small communities on the island she has now been welcomed as one. Because of this bond with the locals, Junko felt the need to protect those who called the island their home.

Now there were many things he could tell about Kaito, just from his eyes. For example he knew he possessed sharingan before revealing he was an Uchiha. He also knew that not only did he have sharingan, but awakened the eternal state. Then, after mastering the techniques powered within he took in Senju DNA likely making him a user of Wood Release. He would let Junko speak first and wait until she finished, so as not to interrupt.

"A pleasure, Kaito. I am from Hoshi, but currently serve as Mizukage. I am not a local, just making travel simple." He would say dropping the stone he held to the ground. Marking it now would just give them reason to look for the mark he had placed earlier. He would ponder the words for a moment. "There is a village in Otogakure?" That was news to him the last upstart nation in the land of rice was ransacked last he went. Maybe, these people had done a better job of hiding themselves. The mechanical eye would follow the others if they moved Junko on his left and Kaito on his right the three forming a triangle with Yoshinori still on watch and staying out of the way.

"Bandits?" He would ask looking at the beach behind them with the place being so nice it was hard to guess the area was plagued by them. Everywhere had them, so this place was surely no different. "I will make sure to look for any as I move, through the area." He would say looking at Junko, before returning his attention back to Kaito. "Can I visit this Otogakure or is it unwelcoming to strangers." He didn't want to tell him about the last village he had discovered. It began by kidnapping their shinobi in the borders, then going to their gates where he discovered it has already been attacked. And some monster left a dead Tau missing its head, all alone. The poor thing was cold by the time Akabayashi's path rescued it.

Junko would raise her eyebrows and look at Akabayashi when he introduced himself as the Mizukage, but she didn’t change her friendly demeanor at all. She was having a hard time recalling any information about the title and the weight that it carried, however, after seeing Kaito's reaction, she began to take her current situation a bit more seriously. She’d stand up straighter, and think for a moment, she would wonder if she should curtsy to him again, but thought it would be weird to. She slowly began to grow nervous as she watched the men interact.

As Kaito spoke she’d turn her attention toward him, she knew of course that the bandits and pirates that she fought regularly weren’t actually a threat to her. However her concerns for them weren’t out of the fear for herself, but of the people on the island. When interacting with the bandits, she was able to hold her own, however, as she looked at the two men in front of her she was unsure what would happen if things went badly. She would attempt to push these thoughts to the side for now.

She felt her stomach drop as Kaito revealed that he was also a village leader, the Otokage he called it. She regretted not learning more about the various forces that ruled over the numerous villages, however, she would attempt to make this into a good learning experience. After all, she had begun discussions with a few of the other shinobi who recently had come to the island about trying to set up a village herself. If they were truly village leaders, maybe she could take this opportunity to learn something from the two of them. For now she wished to see how this conversation would unfold.

Every fiber of her being was telling her to try and leave this discussion, but she remained. If she backed away from them or showed a hint of fear, they may see it as a weakness and respect her less for it. Would they even respect her in the first place? Based on her knowledge of her abilities, and what little she could glean from just looking at the two, she was significantly weaker than them. Internally she began to panic as she realized just how much potential danger she was in, however, she was determined not to give them a reason to dislike her.

As she stood there her body language wouldn’t give off any indication of panic or nervousness. She seemed relatively at ease and was attempting to treat them as she would anybody else she had come upon. Regardless of their station, they were both still people. She often found formalities to be rather boring but knew in this situation they would be required.

Wanting to make a good impression, Junko would listen intently to their conversation but would remain quiet for now. It would be rude to continue talking about her bandit problems when more important things were being discussed. She was shocked to hear that they didn’t know each other though, she figured that all the village leaders would at least know about each other but it seemed like that wasn’t the case.

Akabayashi certainly did not agree with his disposition on bandits. As a person raised in Hoshi before it was a village the pious labeled him a thug. He maimed and killed many, to get the payments they owed his boss. This upbringing never quite left him. But as Kaito continued he realized his version of bandits and his own were quite different. Anyone with an unusual amount, of chakra was a bandit to the then pious Hoshi standards. "I don't know, I learned a lot being a bandit. Though Haven country is far outside the norm." Mostly how to threaten, when to apply pressure, and when killing someone didn't give your employers so much loss that you incurred the debt.

Kaito's bow was noticed ane the gesture returned when he explained his own position. He did not have to think long on whether he would allow Kaito to visit. He had no shame in the might his village held and would invite more to observe if he could. "I have no issue hosting you and anyone else you bring from your village." He would say proud to show off, if this indeed was the way to friendly relations then perhaps seeing the power the village held was one avenue to becoming allies. Though, he had to wonder how much this village had to offer him as the kage seemed jumpy and alone in a place far from his own. Surely, there was a bodyguard somewhere about maybe scouting.

The one called Junko seemed to have tensed up during this conversation her back straightened fully now, which seemed uncomfortable. "What can you tell me of this area Junko, besides the bandits? If he had someone around who knew the area then he might as well ask about where the best places to visit were, so he could teleport there after placing marks.

Yoshinori would continue looking about for anyone entering the area turning her head to scan the flat beach. If anyone else was approaching she would give warning to the three talking.
