A few days earlier…

The crowd was roaring for the next fight, the signals were ready to commence with the fifth round. Okisho, still a bit battered from his loss in the second round, still managed to find the strength to weave through the heavily congested crowd. He lucked out of course, finding a row that ran along the edfe of the balcony. Nobody in front of him, although elevated, gave him quite the vantage point. “Here we go…, and you made it past your first fight too. Impressive, wouldn’t expect nothing less from a Amazon like you”, he said while placing himself in the seat. The fight started without a moments delay, the crowd roared, joining in symphony with the bell.

Present Day…

Okisho was seen roaming the halls yet again, his visits here were short the past few days. The patient in question being that of, Nokino, still remained locked in her coma. It was a rough fight, from what he could remember. But this time, he knew she was awake.

The door slowly swing open, revealing the tall Uchiha bearing the gift of fresh ramen from the very same ramenshop near her apartment. The aroma instantly saturated the room with it’s freshly cooked desire to be eaten. The broth was just waiting to be devoured. The bag he held in his left hand held the box containing the ramen bowl.

His hair was slightly longer than the last time they met, but his attire was roughly the same. As for his own attire, Okisho is a minimalist, nothing too flashy and void of any logos. He is seen wearing a simple all light grey shirt, and a pair of dark navy-blue slacks which stop at the top of his ankles. A single ninja pouch concealed underneath his black shirt. His shoes are standard issued shinobi editions, revealing his toes and back ankles. His shinobi headband is tied tight against his forehead, but not so much to cause any discomfort.

“Nokino…”, he said in his deep voice. It echoed within the roam, his want for her magnified by the acoustics of the room. He closes the door behind him as he attempts to enter the room. “You’re finally awake, you had me worried the past few days.”

Suddenly, a nurse comes by and  instructs OKisho to leave the room to all the patient to rest. Not wanting to cause any trouble, Okisho leaves the room and wishes the kunochi a speedy recovery.

Nokino heard footsteps arriving, but she didnt expect anyone else, now that Okisho had left. On her guard, she activated her enhanced senses (+50 speed/+50 vigor) with invigorating fire, and turned her body into smoke the instant that she saw it was Hiroya. As the turning into smoke would be instantaneous, Nokino would fly into the vent less than 1m above her bed, entering the ventilation system of the Hospital, unnable to be followed by Hiroya.

(After reviewing the thread and external factors brought to staff’s attention, the circumstances of which have brought this thread to this point is not one that staff has much to add to at this time. The knowledge basis being present is one that is unfortunate but is not to the degree of meta to the point that staff intervention is required. In reference to actions being taken in a private thread, Hiroya, a Missing-Nin, is acting in the stead of the Hokage, Aokidanza. Additionally within the Thread and Roleplay guide, it does state for tags to be present in the thread’s title. This is to provide additional clarity as thread descriptions are not visible when linking, casually viewing, or seeing the thread be it of the left “most recent threads” or present if it is the latest replied thread in the overall forum that it is a part of.)

As your battle moderator for this session, I welcome you to the latest chapter of our ongoing saga, where both characters and players navigate the complex landscape of role-playing interaction. This time, we face a few misunderstandings and witness some inventive approaches to combat. Join us as we delve into this, keeping our swords sheathed and our wits as sharp as ever.

As previously established, tags must be placed in the title according to our rules, though some people use them in the description. While this approach helps minimize clutter, we might consider updates like an Open tag [O] and more precise guidelines for topic invasions in the future.

Regarding a complaint about meta, while characters may sometimes develop independently, player input remains crucial. We are committed to managing these situations as effectively as possible and intervening when necessary. Given Nokino's history of character and player behavior—specifically involving invasions and attacks in development topics—it's reasonable to assume she is aware of this.

Nokino's character faces two main issues: failing the combat exams, particularly against Hiroya, the attacker in this topic. The exams, known as the Culling Games, hint at their significance. The second issue is the unauthorized removal of two Academy students from the village to do a mission. Given that another shinobi was penalized for leaving the village without permission, this action aligns with Root Konoha's standards.

Hiroya, however, could have saved us all some trouble by adding a few more details to his opening post, thus avoiding the need for an OOC inquiry. After all, establishing detail is as crucial in storytelling as in combat—both require a healthy dose of clarity to keep everyone on the same page.

In the latest combat interactions, Nokino’s post lacked detail, leaving Hiroya to fill in the gaps. The issue arose when Hiroya attempted to hit Nokino while the Body of Smoke technique's power stat was at 0, making a clash impossible and ending the fight in his favor in the latest response.

The technique is overdue for a revamp, which Nokino has been aware of but still needs to address. Although Hiroya has demonstrated that communication took place about this, the timeline between these interactions and the start of the topic made a complete revamp unrealistic.

The technique should still be able to clash, as it aligns with the spirit of the application's description and shouldn't be rendered obsolete due to a missing yet significant numerical value.

We aim to keep combat enjoyable and straightforward, avoiding discouraging or overly complex scenarios for participants. A simple out-of-character agreement to allow the technique to clash could have resolved this issue, aligning with our site's spirit of fair play.

As mentioned earlier, this verdict addresses all the issues at hand. Both players could have handled their out-of-character interactions more effectively, especially given our guidelines. Nokino’s history of strong reactions can sometimes create tension, which we want to avoid. Respectful interaction is crucial; if that’s not possible, it’s best to maintain some distance.

Due to previous infractions and the risk of ongoing issues, I’ve decided to halt this topic, rendering it null and void, with no gains or losses for either player. This decision is intended to prevent setting a precedent for bad-faith behavior.

Clear communication and a healthy respect for the rules are the secret ingredients to keeping our community fair and respectful.
