Thoughts of the village and fire

Stepping out onto the familiar grounds, he is greeted by the smell of burned earth and the lingering heat of the myriad times he has practiced fire release before. Kagu takes it first, right in the center, where it is apparent to everyone that he has spent hours practicing and gets in his practice. Every movement a perfect one, every technique a demonstration of power, each flame released as an explosion of fire, but controlled to a science, the size and intensity manipulated to his practiced heart's content.

Becoming a Chuunin would solidify his position, transitioning his status and role from de facto leader to official leader of the Uchiha, with the duties and power to match. That post would, in turn, give him the necessary leverages to further manipulate, re-compose, and interwork the Uchiha into the fabrics of the village's ruling and military systems. A duty that would be taxing for him, balancing his responsibilities to his kin and his kin as much as the rest of the village

Left to his musings, fire-release training burns away insecurity and hardens his doubt into the strength he will need. And yet, the training continues. Kagu knows his choice is crucial for himself and the Uchiha clan and what will come in their time and life in Tsukigakure. His leadership, vision, and special abilities would significantly tie power to the village.

The final rays of the sun that cut across the practice grounds begin to cast long shadows as Kagus finishes his practice for the day. It all makes sense that he knows his way. He has not decided, but his body is feeling the strain of the day, and his mind is the weight of his head, taking him closer to his path.

He exited the training grounds with a newfound depth of purpose, aware that when the time came for him to accept or refuse Vengeance's invitation to become a Chuunin, he would do so only if he felt it would be in the best interest of the Butsu, not Naritasu, the Benefactor not the Benefited. It seems that the flames of his techniques might disappear into the air, but the impact of the possible choices he has experienced must always remain in him, pushing him through his future.
