Now it begins
Mon Jul 01, 2024 6:32 pm
A few days had passed since Emilia had taken her stroll through the village and landed near the water gardens. That night was a significant one in her journey as not just a shinobi, but also as a person. The young lady had finally sat down and just enjoyed some serenity and allowed her thoughts and emotions to run wild - ultimately helping her figure out her next course of action. Feeling inside of herself that not just her strength was growing, but also her maturity - Emi needed to know where to go next. Carving out her place among the Hoshigakure people - that’s what she wanted to achieve.
”It’s time - that room has been vacant long enough. I need to muster up the strength if I want to truly achieve something great. Not that I even know what’s in there, but I can certainly guess.”
A tiny tear formed in the corner of her left eye - which is where most of her emotions began to show, if you ever get a chance to really pay attention. Emi chalked it up to just her genetics and the way she was born, she didn’t necessarily care as to why her left eye teared up before her right. A single breath was exhaled as her body suddenly began to move towards the room that was in the back of her house. The kunoichi needed to only stop briefly, grabbing a small key that was tucked away in a hallway safe, hidden from the sight of any onlookers or guests that may ever be over. Once it was obtained, she trekked onward to the back room - sliding the key in the lock and ultimately turning it to the right. Emilia hadn’t heard it because of the rush of emotions that had taken over her, but if you listened - there was a small click that signaled the unlocking of what was truly a newfound room for Emi.
As the door swung open, her eyes widened, shocked by the vast amount of things she was looking at. Mostly it was scrolls, some were books, and others were images. She wasn’t quite sure exactly what it all was at first, but she was hoping that there would be more secrets here that led to some more knowledge of the Aranha clan… and to potentially her dads abilities. Most of what she was looking at was kept in an organized manner - the only things that seemed to be out of place were maybe some scrolls that had rolled off a shelf over time.
”Incredible”
It was a rather shocking discovery on her part - that had essentially been right under her nose the entire time. Emilia marched forward, gently, making sure she didn’t disturb anything that seemed to be in its place. Her golden eyes almost frantically looked around, absorbing all that she was looking at. Her starting point would be something that she needed to pick out. ”I suppose starting at his desk is as good as any…” She couldn’t quite finish the thought as she began to choke up once more. Still as stone is how she stood, right in front of the desk that was the centerpiece of the room. Memories flooding back to her as a very young child walking in and seeing him at work.
As she gathered herself, Emilia made her way around to the chair - noticing several different pieces of scrolls and books that were opened. They hadn’t been touched in years. Likely since her father had fallen ill, which would have been before she really even started at the academy as a student. A lot of this was a new feeling for Emi, who had only really known her father as a civilian of Hoshigakure. How different her life may have turned out had she known all of this time… not to mention if he had never become ill and passed on.
Her gentle hands grasped the back of the sturdy chair, sliding it backwards enough that allowed her to sit down. It was awkward, at least at first. Like anything though - time allows you the ability to grow in ways you never thought. She dug into some of the books and scrolls that were sprawled out in front of her. Slightly excited by her findings - the only mention of a potential family summoning that she had ever seen - and also more techniques? These didn’t necessarily all seem related to only the Aranha, perhaps things her father had worked on. She allowed herself to float back into the chair, her eyes closing as a smile appeared on her face. Ideas began to circulate in her mind - opportunities to help her grow and potentially make her mark with-in Hoshi.
”I guess the question now… is where do I start?”
