Shiki looked at the pile of boxes laid out in front of him incredulously. "This is not a small delivery," he muttered, voicing his complaint to no one in particular. The business owner, who had been there mere moments ago to secure Shiki's agreement to the task, had swiftly departed. He had likely gone back to the day-to-day business of running the restaurant, or something like that. Shiki wasn’t quite sure, but his tab wouldn’t pay for itself and he had long been dying to try out the local cuisine.
With a sigh, he assessed the mountain of boxes again. They were filled with fresh produce, bags of rice, and various other ingredients essential for the local restaurants it seemed. Shiki rolled his shoulders and cracked his knuckles, resigning himself to the laborious task ahead. "I'll take Tsao's," He spoke aloud to the partner for the day, who was conveniently located off-screen. A deep breath in to prepare himself, and then the old but young man squatted and hoisted the first box up onto his shoulder.
Instant regret, he immediately put it down. "Alright, maybe you take Tsao's." He said with a shrug, moving to another box and picking that one up instead. The man left soon after that, making his way down town, walking fast, faces pass and he's chorebound. It was only a short walk to the business he had been asked to deliver to, so at least it wasn't a complete hellish journey. Good thing as well, since he was asked to bring something back.
Shiki certainly hoped he was getting paid for this.

Taking a tally of the community service he’d been required to do….an estate sale, then pest control, now he was demoted further to standard delivery boy. Have you the dear reader ever seen a 400 pound, nearly 7 foot tall man performing the tasks that could be reserved for a 14 year old kid on a bike? Surely not, yet here an Ozeki wrestler of renown, was forced to place pride below the boxes and do such a task. The only bright side being, his requirements of community service expired after one more mission after this one’s. This thought alone kept him somewhat motivated to perform the tasks ahead of him.
Still in a kimono and wooden sandals as tradition dictated he made his way to the local
Shop that had been lucky enough to acquire his services. Looking at a man who looked vaguely familiar, and a man that knew his way around a raccoon, he watched his over ambition fail as the box he attempted to lift remained resolute. Stifling a laugh, he’d give a mock bow as the man took charge and ordered himself a different set of merchandise. He’d watch as the man headed off without so much as a hello, how are you, what’s your name…..whatever, it didn’t matter. It’s not like either man seemed to care, this was just checking boxes for an event….or community service rather.
Moving over he found a cart and hoisted each of the boxes onto the back of it. Unsure what the man had been struggling with, he checked the inventory and the delivery manifesto and he added off into the town. There wasn’t a specific time frame everything needed done by, merely done within the day. He’d also been ordered to take on any minimal tasks that came up along the routes so common sense dictates he take up as much time with each task as possible. Better to not allow additional things to add up on him. He made his way first to the restaurant he’d helped clean up the day before. In truth this initial stop was a double dip, picking up his sneaky snake friend, and getting the first load of food dropped off. Arriving he’d talk to the head chef, they’d inspect the merchandise together and then he’d help unload it into the kitchen. As he did he felt a familiar pressure as Wiggly Woo made his way up his leg and eventually around his neck in his pseudo necklace position. Giving the snake a Boop on the snoot, he noted that the beast felt heavier than normal. No doubt he’d had his fill of any left over vermin. Looking at the cart he took the next grouping of items to none other than the place he’d first sold stuff at the estate sale. No doubt the granddaughter had wanted to get rid of items, but she clearly had not removed the grandmothers access to her money, because the old woman had ordered an astonishing amount of nicknacks and junk. Still, wasnt his job to worry about such things so to the delight of the woman he unloaded each thing and placed them where she wanted. It was with a chagrin look he passed the granddaughter on his way out and heard her displeasure.
His final task was a set of heavy iron tools for the local blacksmith. Luckily this was on the other end of town, and it was unlikely any other jobs could pop up if he walked slowly, so that’s what he did. He spoke to some individuals as he made his way through town. Some asked of the upcoming tournament, others requesting his help which he promptly turned downs and still more wanting to know exactly what had happened the other day when a man ended up dead and Darkseid nearly destroyed. The sumo at the center of it. He would recall the story as best he could but mostly left the details vague. He was still disappointed in how things had turned out. Though he hadn’t known Yama long enough to count him as a friends he had been a promising rikishi, and to see potential snuffed out before it had a chance to bloom was always a tragedy.
Still, the task came to an end as he loaded the heavy tools in the smithy, and made his way back dropping the wheelbarrow off. Another task done
