The Meeting

Sameonna, an unexpected contender in the ninja world, at the age of nine. She was revered in her village and worldwide as the academy student with the highest chakra rating, and rumor has it that she also has pinpoint chakra control. She hoped that the standards her mother made her meet satisfied her teacher, an ANBU captain from the Hidden Mist who goes by the name of Nuibari. He had a reputation for being one of the most cruel teachers in Kirigakure, Sameonna didn't know what to expect.

As punch after punch, kick after kick, block after block, hours have passed when accounting for conditioning time, and still Sameonna remains unfaltered, despite her low stamina rating. She was fully prepared to tackle any possible challenge thrown at her for this training's inevitable completion. Sameonna's only goal was to become a Genin for now, and there was nothing in the world that would take her focus adrift anywhere else.

Fire scorched in her eyes that reflected the streaming rays of sunlight which wove across the clouds like a blanket tucking the world in for a quiet and peaceful night. She looked up to admire its elegance. The wind swept through her emerald-colored hair, the scent of fresh hibiscus and begonias fills her nose like a corruptive perfume worn by a succubus. Coming back to reality, a punch thrown from the ANBU had bypassed Sameonna's guard, -WHAM-... She is propelled airborne, and slams backfirst into a tree, hitting the ground. Her breathing rate increases, it appears she is hurt.

Saruga watched from the distance as the girl practiced her training, punch after punch and kick after kick. She had amazing discipline for her age, and that really impressed Saruga. He just imagined how it would be in a real battle. Saruga was...well he was the fighting type. Saruga wasn't like the real pacifists who hated fighting. He liked to fight, because he saw it as a good way to test his true strength. Plus, fighting had to happen if he wanted to have a spot in the true field he wanted to be in - Medical Ninjutsu.

Regardless, Saruga decided to mess around with her. He threw a shuriken in her direction, but purposely missed and hit the ground that was near her. "Hey there!" he shouted. "You look pretty strong...do you wanna fight?" he said boldly. Saruga knew this girl could not turn down his request. He did not want to kill her, but to spar with her and toy around, to test her abilities. He sat in the tree branch about 20 meters from where she was standing ready for a response and/or a counter-attack.

Sameonna had felt the presence of another ninja, but she couldn't directly pinpoint where the possible enemy was until she spotted the shuriken hurling through the air toward her direction. It was an enemy, just as she presumed. To the person who threw the shuriken, it would look like the shuriken had hit the ground in front of Sameonna. But in reality - she had already attached a chakra string to it, and stood in an instance, twirling her arm and propelling the shuriken at a breakneck speed toward Saruga. The shuriken whipped past his face, and pierced the bark which was just a few inches from his face. The wind could be felt from the projectiles crossing.

She looked at him from afar, trying to gather as much vital information as she could that would benefit her if they were to fight. She noticed several probable weakspots, as well as the fact that they were surrounded by water with little land surrounding the area. What could grant Sameonna more of an advantage? She stared at him, eyes flashing with curiosity. She would assume an odd fighting stance, and exert a shockwave of chi energy that could be felt by Saruga. 'Principle of Ju' She stands back up accordingly and overthinks her battle options. Sameonna would perform something nearly unheard of, two separate handseals in each hand - performing different sequences.

"So be it."

The entire area for nearly 75 meters in all directions was covered in a mist so thick, you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. The second jutsu used would be covered by the blanketing fogs, unrevealed as to what it is yet. Sameonna would use her increased speed to dash to a puddle of water, seeming to disappear from the battle altogether.

Saruga watched as the girl slung the shuriken back at him. "Manipulated Shuriken Technique.." he thought to himself. Immediantly when the fog turned thick, he knew what was going on. The hidden mist technique was a perfect set-up for the silent killing move. Once Sameonna disappeared from battle, he had to take action.

Saruga decided he had to break up the little pieces of land that were actually in the area, and stay above ground as much as possible. The first tactic he had, he decided to take into action. "Clone Jutsu.." he thought. Two identical clones were created, ready to take action. The first went to the other end of the strip of land they were on, and the second went into the middle of the mist. "Now...for the next part. She's probably already onto the clone inside the middle of the mist." Saruga riskingly jumped onto the ground level, where Sameonna was most likely hiding. "Ok...lets go." Saruga began to concentrate chakra to his feet, sinking miraculously into the ground. Where is she... [OOC: While using this technique, it's possible to see the enemy while underground.] Saruga navigated to the center of the mist, while underground. "Now....I wait." he thought. It doesn't take much chakra concentration at all to stay underground, as once the earth is broken up with chakra you can stay there. However, the real chakra use comes in when you trap your enemy.

Saruga's clone continued to wander in the mist. Nothing yet had happened, but soon enough someone will strike. The first clone decided to also wander into the mist, which would double the chance of attack. Saruga had seen the first handsign she yielded, but by the way she dashed to a puddle of water, it could be the Water Encampment Piller technique. "If so...she is using a large amount of chakra so fast." he thought.

With some quick movement, a shadow could be seen from the center of the mist, it looked as if Sameonna was standing completely still, listening to figure out where he was going to come from. He hadn't made any noise, which would mean hes either very fast, or hes underground. She smirked. The mist seems to have gotten much thicker now, completely covering any and all possible sight. Now, Sameonna would have to user her ears and wait for this ninja.
She focused a good portion of chakra to her feet in order to expand her radius for sensory. If he was underground, any movement he made would alert her almost instantaneously. She lowered her body as a whole, a kunai in one hand, and two shuriken in the other. She was prepared for a series of events.

Saruga felt increased chakra concentration, meaning she was onto him somehow, someway. Either way, it was a little risky to make any movements with such high chakra in the area. Anything could happen. Saruga's clone decided to wander deeper into the mist, when eventually, it had gone to the very center. Saruga's clones were very smart because he programs more chakra into him than the average clone. It stopped in its tracks, and threw a shuriken into the mist. It audibly struck the ground, and drew attention to the site of attack. The shuriken in reality landed about 15 meters away from Sameonna. The clone went to the site of strike, and waited there where the shuriken struck.

Without hesitation, Sameonna used her enhanced speed to practically walk on air, her feet elevated, she seems to jump from a thin platform of nothingness, making zero noise whatsoever. She appeared behind the running clone, only to throw the shuriken toward the neck of the enemy. If the attack went through successfully, the tug of her wrist would tighten the wires around his neck and propel the shuriken through them.

As a followup defensive maneuver in case it was a clone - she threw the kunai she possessed straight up into the air in a slight spinning motion, so its point would direct itself to the bottom and straight out in mid-air, increasing the potential chance of piercing any armor Saruga may have had if he decided to attack her.

Saruga watched as the chakra strings enveloped his clone. "This is it..." he thought. Saruga (using his body flicker technique) dashed right below his clone's chakra [The only way he could get around since the mist was so thick.] He watched Sameonna's techniques and mentally praised her for it, however, this tactic would not work against Saruga. Once he was under the chakra flow, Saruga began the second part of his jutsu. He stuck his hand slowly and quietly out of the ground, and grabbed Sameonna's ankles. At this point, it was impossible for a dodge simply because he was using his chakra to harden the ground to iron hardness as her ankles sunk into the earth. Slowly but surely, she was being sucked in to the ground. To be safe, Saruga left his hands inside the ground so she couldn't attack them directly. It was a fool-proof tactic.

As the clone was assassinated, it was destroyed and turned into a cloud of smoke. Suddenly, Sameonna felt the harsh tug of Saruga from below - her body being taken into the ground below. Instead of screaming or anything, she simply laughs lightly. The body of Sameonna turns into a cloud of smoke, turning into a log. Without a single second of hesitation, while Saruga was still exposed to the point of external contact - four explosive tags detonate in the blind spots of Saruga, dealing an equal amount of destructive damage both above and below ground.

Unexpectedly, Sameonna attacks the second clone as the explosion goes off, creating a sudden distraction and allowing her to gain the upper hand in sneak-attacking the clone of Saruga. She appears from above him, landing a perfectly coordinated heelkick to the back of the clones head, coming down and completing the flip with a kunai stab in the spinal cord. She leaps from his back and rolls, standing back up and looking around. She jumps back to the location of the explosion, scanning the area to see what the results were of her attack.

Saruga felt the blow of the explosion, and suffered minor to average damage for it [In context a loss of 7 HP, because only Saruga's hands were above ground. His head and body were below.]. Saruga still had a decent amount of chakra left in his pool, so he decided to break out another technique. "Earth Release: Stone Turning Palm!" he shouted. He launched himself above ground, turning his palms on the earth to create an extreme shockwave against the ground. The ground then split in two, causing her to fall into a valley about 10 meters deep. "That otta do some damage..." he said. Saruga backflipped away from the revene, getting ready for a counter-attack. He had just enough chakra to pull off and E and D rank jutsu. But before he did, he would wait for attack.
