Genin Exam

Kidan and Dorro were running through town moving past people. "Laxus,come on were gonna be late!" Hey watch it! Watch it! Future Genin coming through." Kidan yelled pasing civilions until he and Dorro had reached the academy breathing heavy he stopped just outside the door looking back at Laxus. "You ready?Today is step one as shinobi. After today you and I start our legacy." Kidan smirked. "So whatever you do, don't choke. Cuase if i'm a genin and your not..well..your parents won't be happy." He snickered. Straightening up then going through the front door into the class room. "Kidan Inuzuka reporting for the genin exam."

"Ahh damn, it's so damm great" said Laxus as he run across the road ignoring the people blocking his way since Kidan has already cleared the path for him. He's now locking his eyes on the potato crisp he's holding. He heard what Kidan said as he quickly raise his head up. "Damn right, haha...we're the future genin" laughed Laxus before dodging the man ahead of him. He take out his hand, carrying a bunch of crisp in his hand. He extend it forward to his mouth before munching it all together. He likes something like that.

Laxus noticed that they now arrived to the Academy. Kidan entered the class room through the front door but Laxus paused. He held th container of the potato crisp in the air, wherever he held it upside down pushing it all into his mouth. It's now full in his mouth as he toss the plastic before running into the class room throught he front door following Kidan.

"Auffhh---" said Laxus struggling after realizing afterward that there's a bunch of potato crisp in his mouth. He relaxed himself trying to munch it one by one. At the end he clear his mouth before speaking again. "Laxus D. Nara, Uhhh...Reporting for Genin Exam" said Laxus as he show a smile which disappear as he forget his script. In the end, he copied Kidan's word.

Taru stood at the front of the classroom, sort of leaning up against the wall. This was his least favorite thing to do, but it was his job and he did get paid for it so he couldn’t do much complaining about it. Teaching these damn kids how to perform the most basic of jutsu in the shinobi world would see easy at first, but getting those kids to actually listen and do what they were told and even perform the jutsu with ease was definitely difficult. He didn’t mind this day though, it was the day of graduation. He’d give them their final test and be done for a while, those who failed would be forced to wait and those who passed would be out of the academy.

He noticed two of his students enter the classroom in a rather obnoxious manner. Tilting his head forward, he looked at them. Kidan seemed to regain his composure rather quickly, yet he was somewhat annoyed by Laxus’ attempt at talking with his mouth full. He sighed and ignored the two, he figured he’d be able to fail them first and get on with his day. “Alright you two” he said looking directly at Kidan and Laxus, “You’ll be the first two out of the class to take the test. Starting with you Kidan.” Although he wanted to fail Laxus first, Kidan entered just before Laxus did and so he’d be fair and not force Laxus to get embarrassed first. “First you’re going to perform the “Clone Jutsu” to perfection.” He said.

Kidan could hear Laxas bust out behind him, bumbling and getting the message out finally. Kidan shook his head then looked back at Laxas. "Hey..we got this." Kidan assured Laxas. Looking back to his teacher who informed him his first task was to use a perfect clone jutsu. Kidan focused placing his hands together, then making the hand signs visualizing the mere image of himself appearing in front of him. Kidan finished the jutsu. "Clone technique!"

A large cloud of smoke appeared just in front of him. He looked up to see that the clone was an exact image of the shinobi. Kidan smirked looking at the reflection of himself. "How was that?" He smirked Dorro barking a bit.

Taru watched the young student perform the clone jutsu as he had asked. He was somewhat surprised by the fact that the student had clearly and easily passed the test he provided, he decided he'd make the students do two things instead of one. For now though, Kidan had passed part one. "Failed." he coldly stated. Pausing for a moment, allowing the student to truly believe it, he spoke again, "I suppose you do pass, as you performed the jutsu perfectly, be prepared, you'll be required to do one more jutsu after everyone else does the clone jutsu." he said. He let Kidan think for now that everyone else only had to do one while he had to do two, although everyone would be doing two jutsus today.

"Laxus, you're up next." This one should fail, he thought. He decided to joke with the kid by saying he passed and then letting him know he failed. Perhaps he'd be surprised again.

Laxus listened to atwru's speach silently. As he finished, Laxus started to iggle as well as smiling. [color0oraange]"Haha...Ae expected, we're special!"[/color] laughed Laxus not noticing that he's too loud that rhe other student are staring at him. He ignored the tons of eyes while glancing at Kidan. He raise his thumb up. "i know you will pass" said Laxus showing his big smile.

Laxus watched Kidan perform his technique, squinting so he could see it clearly although he's already near. It's just one of his habit. Laxus watched the clone from behind while Taru is watching the clone from the front. "I know he will pass, haha. Wait..that mean.." mumbled Laxus. He never actually think of something, instead he would does it or mumble it out. "I can't eat his dog!!" added Laxus, imagining a picture of him drowning while Kidan laughed at him. He snapped back his mind when Taru start to speak as he step up to the front.

Normally, he's not scare of something like this, he know he will pass. From this week, he doesn't practise or train at all like knowing he will pass. But thing is...he need to get a higher score than Kidan to eat his dog. "Oh wait, what am i suppose to do?" asked Laxus pointed to himself. He paused for a second after remembering that it's a clone technique that he's going to do. "Oh right, sorry shishishi" laughed Laxus showing a big "D" shaped smile seem like it's a grin.

He extend his hand raising it up, as he put it together, imagining the face of himself. He doesn't like it, he never think or imagine or something but now he's forced to does so. Well...it's better than fail. "Clone Technique" he said at last, as another him appear beside him. The training some time ago really paid off, he has tons of chakra. Laxus extend his hand to the back of his head brushing it while giggling. "Shishishi...how's that?" gigled Laxus. He's too cheerful and carefree.

He thought Laxus might've been slightly crazy just from his attitude, no nerves at all and almost overly cheerful. He could see why the kid had no nerves, as he was surprised to see Laxus perform the clone jutsu to the same efficiency as Kidan had done. Amazed that both of the kids he had thought would be the first to fail had passsed the first part of the exam, he began to wonder how talented those kids might've been. "Alright, you pass that part. You will have to do a another part just like Kidan." he said, letting Laxus now this was not the end of the exam.

The rest of the students went through the first part, only 6 more passed while the rest failed to perform the jutsu. He eyed the remaining 8 students that had managed to pass the first part of the exam. He decided to be creative with this part, knowing that the students might've expected him to tell them to do a transformation jutsu and transform into him, he went a different route. "Laxus and Kidan, both of you step forward." he said, planning on having the students do this part in pairs, afterall teamwork was going to be important in their future. "Perform the transformation jutsu and turn yourselves into the other one. Laxus become Kidan and Kidan become Laxus, that is the final part of the exam. Do this and you are genin."

Laxus heard Taru asking him to step up all along with Kidan. He knows itw ould be hard for them to pass the Genin Exam but thing is easier than expected. The training last time really did paid off as he could finished his clone technique easily. He normally couldn't do all this stuff.

Laxus step up, raising his eyesbrow in confusement still listening to Taru. He lower it down and finally started to laugh. "That's easy, hahah. Well...it might be hard if it's someone else but i know Kidan from the head to the top so this one would be easy" said Laxus finally stopped his laughing. It seem to be foolish to cause some ruckus in the exam arena, one top of that he can't just stop laughing. People say it's annoying. They said it's irritating, but for Laxus himself he's proud of the way he is. At least it's better than training all day long and shoulder all the stress. Life is supposed to be fun.

"I'll go first this time" said Laxus, starting to concentrate on transforming. He focus the image of Kidan inside his head, he doesn't need to look at Kidan another time since he knows him quite clearly. He tried to concentrate the image of Kidan, trying to transform into him but when he's at the verge of completing his jutsu, his mind just snapped into Dorro. Wen he think about Kidan, he think about Kidan, he think about Dorro. If this continue he would end up transforming into Dorro. "No..no..not now." he mumbled to himself, without notice his sweat started to fall. And he finally completed the Jutsu, smoke filled surround him.

He completed his jutsu and now smoke is surrouding him. The destiny of his life depend on what coming out of the smoke. A dog, which is Dorro leading him to the end of his ninja way, or Kidan making him a true ninja? The smoke started to fade away and the vision of people started to get clearer and clearer. In the end, what come out of the smoke is...a transformed Kidan. Laxus completed his Jutsu with a full success. It just look like Kidan. "Phew~ that's a close one, i nearly turned into a dog but then when i think about dog, i think about eating him and when i think about eating him, Kidan would punch the hell outta me. And that's the time when my mind started to focus on Kidan once again. Thansk, Kidan, thanks to your violent-using attitude." said Laxus.

Kidan watched as the smoke filled the air. 'please don't be Dorro,please don't be Dorro, you have this Laxas you have this.' He pleaded in his mind focusing hard on remembering what Laxas looked like not having time to listen to the kids clammering he knew he couldn't dissapoint his brother, so he thought hard. Remembering when he was first put into the house. How many times he had to attack Laxas to keep him away from Dorro, his laugh. His annoying, stupid, fun laugh. That laugh represented his little brother. It was regardless in dispare the blue hunter would laugh it off. The blue hunter. He had it.

Then hearing that laugh one more time, smoke formed around him. His destiny was right here and now. If he failed, Laxas would be the genin and he would be a student. Kids were not the nicest, if anyone was mean to Laxas he would murder them. That was his little brother, not only could Kidan not fail, he couldn't leave Laxas to the animals out there without back up. Plus Dorro was counting on him. The threee of them had to make the team, but to maintain focus he pictured three Laxas, then held off for he didn't want to clone them as well. The smoke cleared revealing the blue hunter. He opened his eyes seeing that Laxas looked exactly like him. "Did I..." He looked at the mirror in the back room. He was an eact copy. "YES! We did it little brother. The Arashi brothers are reprsenting the island village! How do you like that Taru sensi, your two best pupils are now genin. You probably knew I would make it, but Laxas too. Now were the number one duo in all the village, and soon..." He poofed back to himself looking down to Dorro and Laxas. "We'll be the best duo in the world...now...do we get those cool headbands?! Oh man that would be great!"

He was in fact a little surprised by the two students performing the jutsu. He had hoped that by having them turn into each other it would make things a little easier for them, considering they'd been training together during their time together in class. He should have known that the friendly students would be able to transform into each other. He had his doubts, though looking at their perfect transformations he started to believe that they would truly become great shinobi and make the Island Village something special.

He held back the urge to laugh at the little comments that the kids were making, nodding his head softly in approval. He thought that those two might fail, but they had exceeded his expectations and actually impressed him some. "Ya' know, I had my doubts," he began, more or less teasing them. "But you two have actually done it, and I'm impressed. You pass." he said, finishing his statement. He continued to test the remaining students in the same fashion with all but 2 of the students passing the final part of the test.

With the exam completed, it was time to graduate the students would had passed and would become true shinobi of the Island Village and start their new lives as Genin. "Laxus and Kidan." he announced. "You two have shown that your are worthy of becoming genin and shinobi of Island Village. I present to you, your own Island headbands." he said, handing them some brand new headbands with the Island symbol on the metal protector. "Wear them with pride and become great shinobi." he concluded, graduating them to Genin status.
